The need to prevent a storm

I read these postings by two senior Umno bloggers and wonder whether PM DS Najib Razak will have serious problems during the party elections later this year.

Credit where it is due

Thinning of the wedge

It should be noted that they were posted within hours of each other.

I know that these bloggers are hardcore Umno people and only have the best interest of the party in their heart.

So, when I read these postings by them, it made me wonder if they were signals of a storm heading Datuk Najib's way.

Personally, I prefer Datuk Najib to continue as Umno president and PM. I don't believe in changing the manager of the team every time the team was not doing as well as expected.

I believe that except for several wrong moves due to bad advise of his "consultants", Datuk Najib had done all that needed to be done. He definitely did better than Pak Lah.

Bear also in mind that BN did win the GE13 and if not for the Chinese Tsunami triggered by DAP's extreme racist campaigning, the coalition may likely had won the two third in parliament.

However, having said that, I need to stress that Datuk Najib does indeed needs to  immediately act decisively to restore confidence within Umno and among those who support the party.

The signs of cracks were there for all to see and these must be immediately addressed.

I know, it's not even yet a month after GE13, but Datuk Najib has to move fast before support for the party further deteriorates.

I had actually heard of those who want to give up the fight and no longer want to care what's going to happen to Umno.

They said they were tired of being led by leaders of poor quality.

"It's like going to war with idiots as our generals," one of them said to me in reference to Datuk Najib's people who handled the Umno's GE13 war room.

"And now it looks like they are given another shot at it," he added.

I do understand their frustration as I got my own complaints and the biggest is the current situation in Johor where unscrupulous people being put in charge there are running wild along the corridors of power at Kota Iskandar.

I feel that Datuk Najib needs to quickly step up and restore order.

I also feel that he needs to take remedial actions on his post GE13 decisions which didn't really go down well with party members and supporters such as the composition of the new Cabinet. I think it's not yet too late for him to do that.

And of course Datuk Najib needs to offer a different plan and appoints new people in the war room to face the GE14. And the new plan and people chosen must be good enough to restore confidence within the party. The faster Datuk Najib could do this, the better it would be.

I really hope Datuk Najib could do something about all these and prevent Umno from being embroiled in another bitter party election.

Okay....enough of the serious stuff.

I'm taking my medication for the morning now. Need to rest myself after that.

Will have to go on a very long drive later in the day.

  1. Great news indeed. We should all switch camp to PAS. They are the force in GE14, believe me!

    1. PAS is only for Arab wannabees. It will never reach great heights. The Chinese and DAP will just discard them after they have fully made use of PAS and get the most benefit from them. PAS should realize that they are cause of split in the Malays.

    3. UMNO is currently in the hands of the nincompoop and the corrupt because the majority of the good Malays professional was working for the govt.

Now more have time for politics and the situation UMNO should change. If you remember the UMNO in Batu was represented by an ex driver. A few other places too were represented by ex Drebar because they were the only Malays with enough time to run around!

It should Mahathir because these people dont question anything being under educated which was not their fault. In Selangor, UMNO is being lead by a few old goats seating in Mamak stalls until the wee morning the old style way.

Join UMNO and change from within.

Syabas...

    4. The young malays are turning to religion in numbers. It is plain to see everywhere but somehow UMNO are blinkered. They are too busy "menghimpun pangkat, jawatan dan harta karun". No way they can meet these youngster's expectation coming GE14.

It is extremely unlikely that Najib will change. The people around him, wife, advisors, CONsultants, will not allow him to do so. The fall back will not be palatable. What they have now is too valuable and too lucrative to lose. To hell with UMNO, bangsa and negara.

The Erdogans are losing their grip and influence in PAS. TGNA gone, Mat Sabu will probably join PKR or even DAP. Come this year's party election, the conservatives will regain control and if they leave Pakatan they will be flavour of the day for young malays.

    5. have any of you read Tuan syed latest post called SATAN..they came up with great plan not on how to enhance the quality of life but they scared women so they didn't go out for work by encouraging man to molest women..woow..i think PAS people will implement that rules

    6. Visi Melayu

I see that you have problem with SPM holder, What the point having even PHD if there is no jati diri and no Melayu in them ,what is most important willing to fight for the Malay course .
Qualification is just an academic achievement are not necessary intelligence ,willingness to be part of it ,what count ,if you cant contribute the ex driver would be a better choice ,what is important is someone to perform not someone saying they are better qualified.

  2. Despite two highly publicised fatalities due to cranes falling on passenger cars in the last two weeks, this what Najib has to say this morning:

KUALA LUMPUR: The Klang Valley Sungai Buloh-Kajang MRT project is a landmark in the effort to transform the country into a modern and high-income nation, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The Prime Minister said the MRT was not only an important transportation project for the people of the Klang Valley and Greater Kuala Lumpur, but it would also signify Malaysia's shift to a developed country.

He said while there was excitement when the project was launched two years ago, some were sceptical whether it would get off the ground.

“Today, I am proud to say that the MRT project is on track and its construction on schedule.

Absolutely no mention about the suffering that residents in Klang Valley have to endured now. Is this what we want in a pepole friendly PM?

Just lots of shit. Klang Valley remain PR bastion until this guy, advisors, and croonies are removed.

Langkah seterusnya pasti bukan nasihat lagi.

    Terima Kasih Ampun & Maaf

  5. From what I've seen whenever there's big/critical decision need to be done (NFC immediately comes to mind), DS Najib was awfully late. Even then, Shahrizat was not asked to step down, her term was already at the end. No need for him to do anything at all. Just let things flow. But then, when you do not control the flow, the flow will control you.

That is one of my grouses with DS Najib. He seems to be quite indecisive. His silence is quite deafening, although not at the same level as Pak Lah...

Having said that, he did quite a lot of things I would never think off, such as the new UMNO internal election format. SyedAA thinks that corruption might be able to be lessened. me thinks, wait & see.

  6. Why that Osman Razak is called a PM "adviser" pun I don't know. He stinks to the core. Not even an adviser, I must say. But a destroyer.

  7. On Najib, I am almost giving up.

On UMNO, my only hope provided lead by someone who is Malay in body, soul and spirit and will do everything he can for the advancement of Malays/Bumiputra.

Back to the drawing board, and so Malaysia mud go back to the Constitution and not give extra or special exceptions....Najib did not change the Constitution but he raped it often in favour of the Chinese....

And just look at what has happened to CIMB, just ask the employees.. Anak-anak Allahyarhan Tun Razak ni, agaknya TIADA SETITIK PUN NILAI KEMELAYUAN DIDALAM TUBH BADAN NYA.

Diluar nampak cantik tapi didalam berkeladak. At least with Anwar we see him as a national disaster....

Najib, Dr. M said you are the right man, but please prove me wrong for what I want is for you to just LEAVE...No need for your transformation bla bla bla....you have done more than enough damage to the Malays, especially.

Not sure if my vote will go to BN next GE, if I am still alive by then, InsyaALLAH

  9. I believe there will be battle in umno soon. The hawks are preparing the ground for an assault. Tun Daim fired the first salvo recently. Najib should prevail because the voting system has changed. If he can control utusan then he is clear. But as the pm and he cannot control utusan then he deserve to go.

The sleepingdol learnt his lesson for ignoring them.
There's no doubt they have clout.
    They are with the 'kingmakers'
Your hunch is right, DSN is in trouble.

  11. More proof that UMNO is going kaput:

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno will set up a special laboratory to study in detail the proposal to turn the Barisan Nasional into a single party, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The Umno president said Umno also had to gather feedback from its members before making a decision on it.

"Umno is a party that is close to the members hearts...so any changes must be studied in minute detail to avoid the issue of non-acceptance," he told reporters after chairing a meeting of Umno's Supreme Council at the party's headquarters here on Friday.

The proposal to turn the Barisan into single party was forwarded by Gerakan acting president Datuk Chang Ko Youn.

Chang said efforts in this direction was needed because the general election showed urban and young voters no longer voted along racial lines.

Look like PAS is the only muslim party left.

  13. Just read 'giving credit when it is due' and 'the thinning of the wedge', as well as their comments.

Looks like a good many deep thinking traditional UMNO supporters have found the Selangor State Government acceptable - one reason being that the excos are qualified and suited to their portfolios. Of course, Selangor is also lucky to have a wise and suitably proactive Sultan.

Now, if that's a precursor of what the Federal Government will be, would the readers of Annie's blog find Pakatan acceptable? In particular, I'm also addressing this question to you, Annie. Your passion seems to have left you drained.

  14. All the things currently taking place in Najib's administration makes Pakatan more acceptable. If they get rid of Anwar & family, LKS & family, Mat Sabu, Khalid Gereja, they will be welcome in Putrajaya after GE14.
