Lakehouse

Woke up early this morning and decided to take a long drive to clear the cobweb in my brain.

I'm now at the Lakehouse, Ringlet, Cameron Highland.

Just had a nice lunch and now sitting under a shade as I'm writing this.

The drive up from KL was smooth. I was driving quite fast and managed to reach here in less than three hours.

The weather is colder than the last time I was here.

I had actually planned to spend the whole day with someone, but she was unavailable.

So, I have to make do with this solo trip.

It's just a day trip. I need to get back to KL later in the evening.

Still, I hope to spend the afternoon in the quiet of this place.

Later I'm going to have a cup of tea and cake and read a book till it's time to go.

I love this place. The last time I was here, I was very happy. Hopefully by the time I leave this evening, I will be happy again.

  3. Take a drive up to Tanah Rata, head to Taman Sedia. There are a several malay strawberry growers, they all provide great afternoon teas. Scones, strawberry and chocolates, etc..

    1. Awesome!!!!!! I have heard of Malay strawberry growers but could not identify which ones. My family and I will be going there next weekend and surely will buy from Malay only. Scones and afternoon tea in Camerons. Taman Setia , Taman Setia Taman Setia.....any particular farms???? Appreciate the info and thanks. We all welcome any info that leads to business by Malays...Whatever I earned and what ever I have will be to enhance Islam/Malay first...TQ.... BCL

    2. Taman Sedia is a malay kampung just off the road between Tanakh Rata and Brincgang.

The kampong comprises of mainly 1/2 acre plots. The last time I was there, there are four strawberry farms, each one offering teas as well as selling strawberry directly to visitors.

Definitely better than Kasimanis or other chinese farms.

  8. Annie!
My BCL is going strong. Less than a week I boycotted my Chinese tailor and and decided to send my tailoring to this Malay lady. And for a house renovation work I have gotten rid of my Chinese contractors and give to Malay. I only use Chinese service bila perlu aje. That is after considering they are doing me the service and simplifying my life. Kalau tak boleh jalan lah. Don't worry Annie- Allah is with us. That's the whole difference.

    2. right guys, with all the laws that are already in place such as Anti Profiteering Act, Competition Law etc, we shall get our act together to break down those cartels, price fixing activities & so on. Consumer associations, pressure groups etc must be vigilant and press harder. Expose & bring them to court of law.
