It's not yet over in Gelang Patah

A friend who lives in TUTA (Taman Ungku Tun Aminah), Skudai called me last night to say that I was being too negative with my Prediction of GE13 outcome

"You were too quick to dismiss Ghani's chances of defeating Kit Siang and underestimated the Chinese ability to make the right choice," she said in reference to my prediction that DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang will defeat Johor outgoing Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman in the Chinese-majority Gelang Patah.

Well, I don't think I was being too quick with my prediction now that polling is just two days away.

After all, the DAP ceramah at Sutera Mall, Skudai is indeed big. Well, maybe DAP exaggerated the number by saying it is up to 70,000 because I have been to the place and I'm certain that it can only accommodate a maximum of 30,000 people. But, still, it was a huge crowd.

"Okay. Let's be reasonable and say that 50,000 people were at the DAP ceramah, which is still an excessively huge number. How many of them do you think are voters from Gelang Patah who will vote for DAP?" asked my friend.

The following is my friend's line of argument -

First of all, Sutera Mall is located in the middle of Skudai, which is the stronghold of DAP in southern Johor. It is within less than an hour drive from all point of directions covering other nearby parliamentary constituencies of Johor Baru, Pulai, Tebrau, Pasir Gudang, Kulai, Pontian and Tanjong Piai.

Considering the ceramah at Sutera Mall features the biggest guns of Pakatan, their members and supporters, especially from DAP (the crowd is overwhelmingly Chinese) from the other constituencies must had converged there too.

Due to that, most likely, one, third of the overly estimated 50,000 crowd are not from Gelang Patah. That means, less than 35,000 are locals of Gelang Patah.

Of the less than 35,000, how many are DAP supporters who can vote in Gelang Patah?

Do consider those who come to live and work in the constituency or Singapore and will go back to their hometown to vote. Also, let's take out the teenagers and children brought along by their DAP supporting parents. Those combined with the curious onlookers, security personnel, members of the press, kaypochi Singaporeans shopping at the mall, etc should make up about 20 per cent of the 35,000.

That left the possibility of less than 28,000 voting DAP members of Gelang Patah at the ceramah. Bear in mind that this figure is derived from an original number favorable to DAP.

Based on the fact that there are slightly over 106,000 voters in Gelang Patah, DAP need to get about 25,000 more people not at the ceramah to vote for Kit Siang for him to win.

Now, almost all the hardcore supporters of DAP in Gelang Patah must be at the ceramah. Therefore the bulk of the 25,000 extra voters they need to get must be from the fence sitters section which BN are also working to win over to its side.

So, according to my friend, the battle to preserve Malaysians' unity by Ghani and his people in Gelang Patah is still not yet over. There is still hope, she said.

Well, maybe she is right.

Ghani is after all, still going all out with his election rounds. There was no sign of him giving up yet.

Yesterday, he took the early morning bus across the Causeway along with Malaysian workers working in Singapore. Here is the story -

Ghani surprises commuters going to work in S'pore

His schedule only ended past midnight with a gathering with Hindraf leaders at Taman Teratai. This morning at 6.30am, the 67-year-old leader was up again outside the Giant hypermarket in Bukit Indah to meet Malaysians working in Singapore who wait for their bus there. His schedule today as it was through out the campaigning period was packed.

How close the outcome of the race to the line is going to be? My friend believes it will be razor thin in favor of Ghani. I would very much want to believe that too.

    10. Annie,
I have this analogy. Suppose you are unwell and you go to your neighbourhood GP who has been serving you faithfully for umpteen years. He is always there for you and he is so reliable that you have taken him for granted. Of course, he will charge you for his services and he will tell you to do things which are good for you. Sometimes you may not like to hear what he wants you to do for your own good, like "lose some weight" or "stop smoking" or "don't over indulge in fatty food". However, deep inside, you know that he means well and he has your well-being uppermost in his agenda. Now here comes a "snake oil" vendor who guarantees you a "sure cure one" with his "miracle formula" He will make such lofty promises without so much as batting an eye and he will also provide you with examples of his "successes" in the form of testaments and, if you are lucky enough, even a real life specimen. He is ever so convincing that you will feel like a fool for going to your GP all this while. "Sure cure -mah!" and at such low prices!
Now, between Ghani and Kit, you have to know just who is your reliable GP and who is your "snake oil vendor" Despite everything, your GP will always be there for you but the vendor is always moving around. He wouldn't be there when he is found out to be the fake that he is. Vote wisely people. End of story.

    11. Problem is this GP loves to take X-rate pictures of the patient and show them around like UMNO. Also this GP tells other patients of different races to balek tongsan. Also when the patients are not good as the GP's mother tongue, the GP burst into anger as shown by UMNO bloggers.
Please lah don't scoop so low. Actually BN is the snake oil tabib.

For your information, all the sleazy sex videos involving all the Pakatan scums had been released by their so called friends, because only their erstwhile friends would know of their hanky-pankying, correct or not? These videos are definitely not UMNO inspired. Imagine, their very close "friends" stabbing them in the back and putting the blame on UMNO. You scums just make me want to puke! 7. I don't deny that there are greedy and corrupt politician in BN. Politic is where power, therefore wealth, are for quick & easy picking. Slogans such as Pendidikan Percuma, Merakyatkan Ekonomi Selangor, Demi Rakyat, Pakatan Harapan Rakyat, etc, are mere slogans to entice people into voting for them and their quest.

When these politician shout 'Change or Ubah', people must think what kind of change will that be. If BN politicians are bad, they probably have their own set of relatives and cronies who might already be rich. With the more vocal electorates today, they might be afraid to indulge in more corrupt practices. Activist such as YB Wee Choo Keong could also keep an eye and 'check' on them. Pro-BN bloggers are known to have also lambasted the Government if what they did was wrong or shortchange the rakyat.

But, if Pakatan politician were to take over, they would also wants to enrich their own sets of relatives and cronies, who are most probably not yet rich. Imagine the amount of rakyat's money that would be lost to the large number of these 'new' would be crooks. Just look at Nga Ko Meng when Perak fell. In just 49 days, he already gave a tailoring contract to his wife. He and his cousin Ngeh, even got huge track of timberland in Kelantan. (My own mischievous brother-in-law was very affluent, when PR ruled Perak then. He still owes me RM60k, though.)

Anyway, we seldom heard BN politician suing their critics. With Pakatan's gag orders, ban on journalist, threatening court order to silence dissidents and with their dictatorial leadership style of their own party, Malaysian must be aware on the danger to our freedom, if Pakatan gets to rule. The way they run their party election is also undemocratic. The Ketua Umum, Secretary and Chairman are self-elected. Nepotism is also rampant in the triumvirate Pakatan.

    Safe Malaysia from dictatorial politicians.
    So help us God.

The Lembu project was approved by corrupted Pak Lah and that's partly why many BN people voted PR in 2008 to bring him down. Even Tun Dr.M quits UMNO and demand his resignation. Sharizat already resigned as Senator and not fielded as BN candidate, unlike PR which still field people already smear with scandals.

That Global Witness video was actually an attempt at 'throwing mud' on Taib's administration. These foreign Agents capitalized on Taib's family feud over timber concessionaire. The former Chief Minister was Taib's uncle, Tun Rahman Yaakup and their relationship is not friendly. The main player in the video are Norlia & Fatimah, both daughter of Taib's uncle Rahman, who also has another daughter, Norah Tun Rahman, as MP in present state government. It also happen that Norlia's husband is Justin Jinggot, a PKR strongman in Sarawak. In-fact the feud started when Taib cancelled a timberland concession to his uncle's family, in 1988, what was famously known as 'Ming Court Affair'. (Goggle, for more information).
When it involved power & wealth, siblings also can kill each others. No wonder Tun Dr.M forbade his sons or relatives, to be involved in politics when he was PM.

YB Wee Choo Keong still support BN. He won that seat GE12 on PKR's ticket with a very small majority. Wangsa Maju stand a better change if the candidate is from BN. I hope YB Wee could be re-elected as a Senator so that he could set in motion again that 'Foreign Agents Act" which he tabled in Parliament, Mac. & Nov. 2012, but was denied by Pandikar Amin Mulia.

The US themselves, have this Laws to monitor foreign funding into their NGOs, since 1960s. NGOs or civil associations receiving funds from other countries or foreigners outside the US, must declare their cash-flow to the National Bank & Homeland Security which then labelled these NGO as 'Foreign Agents'. Their assets were annually audited, too.
Russia had enacted the same kind of law last year and Malaysia must follow suit, in earnest. Maybe, this 'Foreign Agent Act' would be easily approved in Parliament once BN got it's 2/3 majority.

The most obvious reason why I don't support these Pakatan people is due to their incessant traits of spewing lies and deception.
You must have picked-up this habit from Anwar Ibrahim, who is the father-of-all deceit and corruption in Malaysia.

I am not a member of UMNO and I have never been rewarded directly in cash or otherwise, by supporting BN. You don't even know who I am, yet you accused me of benefiting from UMNO.

I use to work in a Japanese company. In 2008 they decided to move their manufacturing to Thailand. Hence, I opted for VSS, as Sr.Engineer and that's how I have the money. I lend that amount, since he promised to pay back in 6 month. He said he need the money to show proof in his bank account, to people with 'power', so as to secure a contract. That was the time when Pakatan ruled Perak and he has 'cables' to a DAP politicians. It seems the deal turned bad when BN regains Perak. If Perak were to remain under Pakatan, he would have managed to repay my RM60k.

One of these days, if I am desperate, I might drawn out a parang panjang in his doorsteps and demand my money back.

No, we're not saying just because Pakatoon steals, it makes it okay for BN to do the same. We are saying: Pakatoon is just as bad as BN. Sometimes the Toons are even worse. And BN has a solid track record for development, at least. Name one project Lim Kit Siang made in the 44 years he has been in power? That ass is all talk and no action.

    1. See how much PR received donations in the cermah. PR Bloggers will also donate when they write but as usual BN bloggers get money from BN like BR1Malaysia. Anon 23.16, your BR1Malaysia paycheck is on the way.

    2. BR1Malaysia is for the poor and the working class in Malaysia, regardless they are BN or Pakatan, don't tell me that if rich people want BR1M? that is moronic selfish, and it really describe pakatan supporters, and you want to brag about your donation to your party like giving it to the orphans,, that is really lame, it adds the profile to arrogant moronic selfish. ps- i'm not being paid, unlike Tentera Siber DAP that have 50 fake facebook account

  22. Kamaruddin did his best to help with his "Dawat Tok Dinyang Incredible" that is truly Malaysia i.e. not indelible. You MCA fella should get all the illegal Dragon ladies a blue IC to vote for us. If BN does not win, then only MCA to blame. MCA leader Mr Soi Lik Chua is a sex maniac and the rest are just donkeys if my man Ghani fails.
