Smoking with a dumb prick

I was smoking at a designated area after lunch yesterday when I was approached by a good looking Chinese man who wanted to borrow my lighter. (Yes, I smoke. It's a bad habit which I had tried to quit for years without much success)

I was feeling friendly, so I entertained his queries as we smoked together. Initially, he seemed interested to know why I'm wearing a nose stud.

He said it's rare that a Chinese wears such a jewelry. (He thought that I'm a Chinese....which in a way I am). I told him it was actually just for fun. It was one of those days when I was feeling crazy and decided to have a nose piercing. The diamond stud costs me quite a bit though.

After the second cigarette, the conversation somehow veered to politics, starting with the current big question of when the parliament is going to be dissolved.

Then he started to talk about how Malaysians should change the government and ends the "discrimination" against the minorities.

It was the usual Pakatan ranting. So, there's no need for me to elaborate on what he said here. I just stayed calm, pretended to be listening and continued to smoke. From what he said, I gathered that he assumed I'm a DAP supporter like him....just because he saw me as a young urbanite Chinese woman.

It was actually a bit amusing. A good looking educated man wearing nice clothes and probably a professional talking about being part of a "discriminated minority".

At the end of it, I gave him my sweetest smile and told him in Mandarin that I'm still  going to vote for BN as I think Anwar is a lying prick, who can't control his prick, and those who think he should be PM, such as DAP's Lim Guan Eng, are themselves pricks.

As for him, I told him that he is so dumb that he doesn't even realize that he is a racist for stereotyping me as a DAP supporter just because he assumed that I'm a Chinese.

And as I had guessed, he is one of those banana Chinese who can't speak Mandarin.

When he started to apologize for it, I said it's okay as I was just telling him that if I have my wish, I want Lim Guan Eng to be PM and not Anwar.

He immediately agreed.

What a dumb prick....

It's because of his assumptions about me, not because of his support for Pakatan.

  8. Hi Annie,

First, about the cig. Try changing to the e-cig. First, use the one with Nicotine. Then change to the one with no nicotine. Taste so bad confirmed you will not touch a cigarette for at least 1 week. Then up to you to continue smoking or quit altogether. :)

Next, about that dumb prick. Ha ha ha... You are funny.. :D

  9. Your comments remind me of a incident where a malay man was condemning the BN and praising PR in a car we were travelling in. Through out the trip I kept quiet while he ramble endlessly and venomously against BN.

Suddenly he asked if I agrees with him. Tactfully I gave my own thinking and said BN is a better choice. He looked at me in total awe and in disbelief. He replied "but you are Chinese? ".

I replied, i will never allow Malaysia to become an Islamic state nor will I allow DAP to split the nation with racial hate. And finally, I will never allow Mr Omega to be a PM of this peace loving country

    1. Sometimes, I think politicians and their blind followers tend to underestimate our intelligence and assume that we are as racially myopic as them.

  10. Dear Annie,

You should be grateful that you are witnessing history as it unfolds.
When ever have young, socially mobile Chinese professionals share political views and discuss politics out in the open before 2008?!
When it happens in so many places throughout the country, something must have changed...

The culture of fear has broken in Malaysia because of social media, broadband Internet and massive globalization nowadays...

To say Chinese community is too stupid or dumb to think for themselves and just parroting PR speak, you are missing the big picture like typical BN/UMNO spinners.

Watch history in the making and don't get left behind when the train leaves the station!

    1. I know, you are talking about the "GREAT CHINESE REVOLUTION" in Malaysia as you first said in Big Cat's blog. Fine, I will wait and see how it unfold.

    2. It's good that they are now confident enough to open their mouths and let their thoughts be known. Too bad most of the time they're actually full of racially-biased shit. Same old, same old.

I am reminded of the joke when I was learning French: someone said she wanted to try and learn French because they always sounded so poetic and elegant. And then when she could understand French, she discovered that most of the time they were just talking about mundane stuff like the weather and washing clothes.

Love the analogy about the dumb prick, Annie.

    3. The word revolution was invented by Big Cat, so i wouldn't be too hang-up about the phrase...

Big Cat/Purple Cat still refused to acknowledge the creative word spinning. He calls it deduction??
Sometimes it's abit sad la these type of bloggers...

    4. Melayu NGO lawan DAP22 March 2013 at 19:16

We have put down the Chinese Communist party revolution for the past 50 years. It was lead by Chin Peng and Lim Kit Siang. If the great Chin Peng died heart broken in Thailand, what makes you think you chinese will succeed now?

The long peace have made most Malays forgotten the communist Chinese. But once it reared its ugly head, the Malays will rise to the occasion as in 1969.

The next revolution will be the Malay revolution as they dismantle the injustice and unfair asset grab by the Chinese and Indians. With the internet the Malays can read Forbes exposure on the obscen wealth accumulated by Kuok, Kuek Leng Chan, Teh Hong Piow. How Bank Negara rules are bent so that these Chinese are special and own more than 10% against the laws of bank ownership.

An ex UMNO President, the son of an Indian from Kerala as reported by the STAR, was quoted in the NST as saying in 2012, the Malays have become beggars in their own country. OF course Forbes list shows his sons own billions! Without Forbes, the Malays and UMNO members would not know the deception and lies by their own President but hey thank god for the internet.

See all the Malay NGOs rising up. The fight for Tanah Melayu has just begun!

Vernacular Chinese/Indians schools are being expanded so the Chinese/Indian children can learn and love their culture. Government subsidy for self deportation will be introduced.

We have the money to pay for their tongkangs, no reasons for Chinese to stay in Tanah Melayu.
