What my grand aunt in Kluang wants

I just reached home, took a shower and done the necessaries.

I was winding down for the night when I received a text message from my mother.

She forwarded a message she received from my grand aunt who lives in our hometown Kluang.

My grand aunt is in her late 60s.

I'm reproducing her message in verbatim here.

"Najib seem to be working very hard. He is putting a lot of fresh blood. I think fresh blood is good for the country. I like Najib. I don't want Anwar to be PM. Dr Hou is good. Much better than Gan Peng Siew. Dr Hou is a good guy and he is not ambitious. He is not a politician and is focused on doing his job as MP. Good if we can have more candidates like him. I will vote for BN if he is the candidate. I don't like Gan."

Datuk Dr Hou Kok Chung is Higher Education deputy minister and Kluang member of parliament.

Talks in Kluang are that MCA is planning to replace Dr Hou with Gan for the Kluang parliament seat. Hopefully they could reconsider.

  1. Lame attempt at fiction la.

Hou KC is a non-performing Deputy Minister. Nobody heard about him much in Parliament. Keep him if UMNO/BN like... Haha

    1. Some people quietly do their job, some other people only know how to make noise. Most of the time, those who only make noise don't do their job.

    2. Yes Annie. You're perfectly correct. I have known this fact through my experience at work.

  2. I thought MCA is going to give away this seat to UMNO?

    1. It has been decided that Johor Umno is not going to take away any Johor MCA seat even if BN has a better chance to win if they do that. Johor Umno still believes in Johor MCA. MCA will contest in places like Kluang and Gelang Patah unless Najib has other ideas.

  3. Gan was not accepted by rakyat in Kluang, thus lost Mengkibol seat to DAP. Even UMNO members vote for DAP in Mengkibol. But he is the MCA Chief. So, MB Ghani appoint him as JKKM so as not to allow the DAP (the real wakil rakyat) get any fund or attend any meeting. Then, Gan was appointed Senator, while UMNO Kluang senator slot was taken away. No more senator for UMNO Kluang. How do you think that makes us Malay feel??? Then PM Najib appointed Gan as Timbalan Menteri. WAHHHHHH talk about a beaten winnable candidate.

I agree. YB Dr Hou is a quiet man. You can only see him on billboards. So quiet even the UMNO Kluang warlords never get a call from him let alone get a a visit in their home unless invited for kenduri kawin. Dr Hou don't even recognized the faces that work hard to win him.

Maybe he just copied what YB Jais of Mahkota (Kluang UMNO chief) is practising. UMNO jaga UMNO, MCA jaga MCA. Rakyat boleh pegi mampusss. 80,OOO voters and MCA+UMNO only take care of selected few. May I remind you that only 7ooo out of 12,000 UMNO Kluang members are still reachable? I can go on and on. Wanna fight 80K voters ha?

This coming from an UMNO veteran. All, YB Jais, Dr Hou or Gan are not winnable candidates. Put them as candidates and we will join DAP and PAS on ceramah stages.

    1. I always publish whatever comments the readers of this blog send me no matter how nonsensical some of those comments are. The ones I don't publish are those which insults my parents, may get me in trouble with the laws, too vulgar or gives problem to innocent people. Mine is unlike those of Pakatan bloggers or websites which mostly censors opposing views.

    2. Tq. I really appreciate it.
BTW, didnt you notice almost all exco UMNO Johor are warga emas??? During Ghani, newcomers semua kena pancung except during 2008 when KJ take over and the KJ boy, YB Jais who from Youth chief became wakil rakyat to ketua bahagian to exco within a year. How do you think those over forties in UMNO Kluang feel? They lost a senator and a generation of leaders because a new leader do not want a senator (and her followers) because (from his mouth) there can be only be one captain in a ship. And as you and I know, a new ketua bahagian means new warlords. Still wonder why Mahkota lost more than 16K votes to PAS? PAS is quietly hoping Jais will be fielded again.

  5. Anon 1224 is correct. MCA must return their seats to UMNO. Only UMNO / Perkasa should be allowed to represent BN

  6. UMNO perhaps, but not Perkasa. Listen to their rantings , most frightening.

  7. So is Najib, a good man and a gentleman. But he s not able to control the corrupt in his party. Since that's the case, allow another party that will bring in a fresh mandate for Govt.

UMNO has done some for the poor, but not enough. Because Annie, if the ringgit had not been devalued/eroded vis a vi the neighbour s currency, your pay as educator should be about 7 K starting and 15 K ceiling at the end of your teaching career, as an ordinary Grad Teacher
