DAP's Stalingrad

I guess everyone knows by now about the shocking BN victory in Teluk Intan.

I had wanted to write about it last night but was too busy with work.

Ya, sometimes I work on Saturday nights too.

Well, no one expected a "dead party" as DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang arrogantly described Gerakan could dealt such a killer punch.

TS Muhyiddin Yassin who led the BN machinery was not there while Perak MB DS Zambery Abdul Kadir only reached Teluk Intan from Ipoh about 11pm after he heard about Mah Siew Keong's win.

They had been briefed a day earlier by BN intelligence operatives that the coalition  was going to lose. After all DAP had a cushion of over 7,000 majority votes from the general election last year.

My sources who was in the BN's close door meeting on Friday at the Teluk Intan Rest House said Muhyiddin had pleaded for BN workers to keep on pushing for support especially from among the Chinese community but was told that there were only so much that can be done.

That night DAP ceramah in the middle of Teluk Intan town was packed with party's supporters. Pro-Pakatan websites estimated the crowd at 10,000. Despite Perak's mourning period, the atmosphere was festive as reported by my journalist friend there, again complete with the blowing of vuvuzela.

Intelligence reports at noon yesterday as polling was ongoing also indicated that the best BN could hope for was to reduce DAP's majority from over 7,000 to 2,000 votes.

But in the end, Teluk Intan could end up being the Stalingrad of DAP.

(Note: Battle of Stalingrad is the turning point of Second World War where the Nazi forces were crushed)

This is only the second time in memory that a contested seat changed hands in a by-election, the other being Kuala Terengganu in 2008.

The perception that DAP is invincible in a constituency where Chinese made up the biggest block of voters had been shattered.

Teluk Intan's over 60,000 constituent consist of 42 per cent Chinese, 38 per cent Malays and 19 per cent Indians.

DAP and it's allies send their top guns to campaign in Teluk Intan almost every night for the past two weeks but suffered such an embarrassing defeat.

I thought of why it happened and came out with 10 main reasons:

1. DAP was arrogantly over confident. They took their opponent Mah as a president of a dead party.

2. DAP's candidate Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud failed to impress the Malay constituent she was supposed to win over for her Chinese dominated party.

3. The local Chinese were pissed off that Kit Siang and his son thought they would swallow everything that DAP dished out at them, including Dyana.

4. Local DAP leaders had sabotaged their own party after Dyana who is an outsider was chosen over them as candidate.

5. Local DAP election workers were not happy with the way party leaders from Penang, Selangor and Johor took over the running of the campaign. The outsider DAP leaders include Ong Kiang Meng, Tony Pua, and Teoh Nie Ching.

6. Mah and the local Gerakan people went all out for a win despite the odds being stack against them winning.

7. The local Umno guys did their job well to support Gerakan. Mah is one of the nicest Gerakan leaders and this helped with inter-party relations. Other component parties could had done better but since Mah didn't complain, I would not want to elaborate on that.

8. BN did well by pushing hard to win the crucial 19 per cent Indian votes. DAP had concentrated on Chinese and Malay votes and that had prove costly for them.

9. Young Chinese outstation voters supporting Pakatan who were crucial in securing a DAP victory last year did not come back to vote in large number.

10. BN wins because Annie supports it. Hahahaha....just kidding.

Okay guys. Have a good Sunday. Cheers.

  2. I don't agree that this is the DAP's "Stalingrad".

Instead, it looks to me that the Malays mostly voted for the party - i.e. BN, whilst some Chinese voted for one of the same ethnicity - i.e. Mah.

Of course, the fact that Dyana is an outsider parachuted in over local DAP leaders could well have factored big in this result too.

Anyway, it looks like this Dyana gambit backfired for the DAP.

I wonder will some DAP heads roll for this?

  3. I saw the link to this post at Bo KS' status update at Facebook.

I agree with the general points here. The one about the Indian voters is worth pondering. I don't know how hard each side had tried to reach out to these voters but they were obviously a huge factor too. In the end, they had likely decided on the winner and loser.

LKS, Guan Eng and Dyana had lost Teluk Intan for DAP. They had obviously overestimated her and this strategy to project itself as a "Malay-friendly party" had backfired. Neither Malays nor Chinese had really accepted her.

The Teluk Intan voters had made the right call. They would not have benefitted from having an opposition MP, and a raw newbie at that. Mah was obviously the much better candidate. This is a good day for Malaysia.

  4. Hei annie boleh I tambah 2 point lagi , 11. Dap kalah sebab tidak calonkan Underwear lim guan eng yang lebih kaliber dari diyana 12. Ramai pengundi hantu tidak mengundi sebab mereka hantu dan bersiar-siar dengan keluarga kerana cuti sekolah . Demikian lah ceritanya sekian terima kasih.

  5. I don't get it either.
I just don't know how Malaysians think anymore.

Personally, I'm still bristling over Ghani's defeat in Johor during the last GE. I thought a rational voter will vote for a clean, hardworking candidate not a parachuted rah-rah Vote for me, Me Chinese, Me let PKR & PAS worry about those crazy Malays.

I 'm thinking the Teluk Intan Chinese are confused - What ..... now we vote for a Malay candidate. I thought we are a Chinese party.

No they are not. The rebellion within is negligible and not a deciding factor.

Only a percentage of them deliver the vote to Datuk Mah, as you can see from the small margin. Majority still voted for DAP (not Dyana). Those Dapsters residing outside of Teluk Intan, must be banging their heads now for not returning to vote. I believe those residing in Singapore only could bring the win to DAP should they return.

  6. So we have to believe that the Elections Commission (EC) has done its job well?

    The total votes in the counting was 40626 (20157/BN + 19919/DAP + 550/SPOILT)

But earlier, the Elections Commission said that 39850 voters cast their votes on 31/5. Count in the postal votes of 392 the total number of votes cast should be 392 + 39850 = 40242.

Where did the extra 384 votes come from?

The EC is AGAIN letting down its credibility by being blind to such inconsistency and yet announcing the winner.

Imagine if this was the situation if BN as trailing? Would the EC have still proceeded to announce the result?

Can we all take it that this is how the EC will hold itself accountable for all future elections?

Now do you all know why the EC must be accountable to parliament and not the administration of the day?

    Don't celebrate too soon!
Get the process in order first - for the better of our generation and the future.

As a responsible citizen, do your part to mould this great nation to be a shining model of law and order for the rest of the world.

  8. Hahahahaah........80% of Malays plus 25% of pigs and 25% of lembus are all that is needed to win this constituency

Yesterday, it was 80-30-30 for BN. End of Chingk pigs' story. Kit Siang and Guan Chibai Eng looked arsefucked while that pix of pariah Melayu Dyana is priceless. Fact is Dyana is the biggest loser. Politically she is finished after her mother and she were outed as Perkasa member/supporters.

The Chingk pig taught she was a treacherous twofaced snaketongued bitch and fucked her at the ballot box. Moreover, they hate anything Malay or even smelling Malay. Fact that the bastards didnt return home to vote suggest they heeded the Chingk Mah's wish more than even a pariah Malay Dyana's hopes ..hahahahaha.

Kit Sial and Guan Chibai are secretly happy at the outcome. a. they outed a Perkasa mole b. they can say Malay candidates are not Chingk friendly as they have already started to and so no more Malays as DAP candidates in future.

But they are also scared shit cos a. Malays will never vote for DAP b. worse their best friend PAS cannot trick the Malays anymore which means PR 2018 is pundek for PaRians and they have to come up with an exit plan, fast

Dyana, mana maruah dan jatidiri kamu? Bagaikan sundal politik dihina dan dipermainkan, mahu lagi kamu bersama DAP. Taubatlah dan kembali ke pangkal jalan. Kaum babi akan tetap membenci Melayu-Islam sampai kiamat.

Marina can now go lick kit sial's arse and suck chibai eng's cock. She is nothing more than a moronic uppity twofaced forked tongued bitch who is a publicity whore. She would make a nice fit for Dyana if they are into cuntlicking since both will have lots of spare time in their hands.

As for the Chingk pigs.the road ahead is a dead end. Watch them come back licking their shit as they make the uturn. But that is not going to be a surprise for pigs like shit.

Whatever, the Malays must always take past 6 year events as lessons and be wary of the Chingk pigs....ALWAYS

  9. It's always good to know there's many UMNO fellas like above who can still insult Chinese and Indian voters even when they win in multi-racial seat like Teluk Intan.

Hope this is a lesson to those young, outstation voters who didn't come back to vote. 8,000 of voters who voted in GE13 but didn't come back this time. It's not over until you all voted and be counted...

It's ok. DAP took a risk in fielding a young, Malay talent as candidate in Teluk Intan. Dyana will stay and shadow the seat to prepare for next GE14 when there's more new voters registered and older ones passed away. Outstation voters will be back in force that time too. I also can bet in GE14 Mah will still be the BN candidate because he will say he's winnable la, party president, local son etc. So there will be a re-match in GE14 for sure. Been in Teluk Intan past week and it is really primitive Internet black hole. Thankfully because of BN by-election promise of super Internet broadband for Teluk Intan, it will be a lot easier to share news and information to the ground by then!
    Thanks in advance Shabery! Haha...

DAP is now more confident to field many more young Malay talents in next GE14. Teluk Intan is an important testing ground for this new strategy of breaking the wall.
Dyana will be a campaign resource for these newer candidates. She's a tough girl who has been through the Gelang Patah and now Teluk Intan campaigns.

Stalingrad?! Haha. Teluk Intan is like the Battle of Kharkov with the victor riding to Berlin.

And you stand firmly behind RSN Rayer Celaka remarks about UMNO, CEC Debacle where the Indian are deliberately discriminated and cases where Indian-looking voter being insulted as Bangla?

Re. It's ok. DAP took a risk in fielding a young, Malay talent as candidate in Teluk Intan.

Why not Indian candidate? Is there no Indian grassroot DAP member who have served DAP longer and better than Dyana did at all?

Re. Dyana will stay and shadow the seat to prepare for next GE14 when there's more new voters registered and older ones passed away

Dyana is a disaster for DAP wrt the Malay votes. Dyana and her mother had made a grave mistake by going all out against everything Malays i.e. UiTM, ATRM, Hudud (to certain extend) and there was a report posted by pro-UMNO FB stating that Yummy (is that how you spell her name?) has uttered ” Dyana Tidak Perlukan Undi Melayu Untuk Menang”. And for Dyana to say “UiTM untuk semua” is just like saying “Hapuskan Sekolah Venakular” to the Chinese, is another big blow.

Again why not young Indian candidate?

Note: DAP needs the Malay votes to take them to Putra Jaya in PRU14.

Re. Outstation voters will be back in force that time too

They, as in the Chinese, didn't come back because Dyana is Malay and not their own kind. The same way can be explained why Ram Karpal Singh won Bukit Gelugor Seat. MCA didn't field their candidate, thus majority of BN UMNO supporters couldn't be bother to vote.

Gerakan's win is lesson well-learned by MCA on how go into the battle.

Re. Been in Teluk Intan past week and it is really primitive Internet black hole.

Another sign of your pathological liar syndrome? Majority of Teluk Intan Voters and residing in Teluk Intan are not IT-Savvy, not because the internet connection is bad. They are in the age bracket that don't rely on internet 24-7. Plus, people don't rely on PC and Laptop to read the news these days, many have smartphone, please don't give us another BS of yours.

DAP made the wrong move by relying on the social media to win, but Datuk Mah and BN team have quietly worked on the ground into the heartland to convince the voters.

Note: Please google the info about Malaysia being the highest Internet- connected Society in the world. Too lazy to feed you with the info.

Re. DAP is now more confident to field many more young Malay talents in next GE14.

Teluk Intan is a disaster to them PERIOD. They fail to fool the Malay voters and sway the mind of the non-Malay voters to vote a Malay Candidate. Khairil Khir Johari is their first such attempt to do the same act, but still he won the majority Chinese area and for being Chinese.

Re. Teluk Intan is an important testing ground for this new strategy of breaking the wall.

They hit the wall and now banging their head some more for that mistake.

Re. Dyana will be a campaign resource for these newer candidates. She's a tough girl who has been through the Gelang Patah and now Teluk Intan campaigns.

She spells disaster to DAP Period.

As usual you are my entertainment on this Sunday night with my cuppa coffee. Haha...

Anyway, your anti-Indian comments are potential big source of campaign materials going into Indian working-class areas. Loved the way you like to insult the poor, working-class Indians as Dalits la, pariah la, Kelingon la! Middle-class Indians are strong PR group, but the working-class Indians always fence-sitters. But one thing that unites them Indians is when UMNO/ISMA fellas spew anti-Indian, anti-Hindu comments on media. So don't stop insulting the Indians with your Google rubbish...
      Haha.

As usual you lazy to do simple research again, Dyana is a good candidate for Teluk Intan. Since the DUN Pasir Bedamar already represented by DAP Indian, YB Naidu, so give chance to capable Malay candidate for Parliament seat la. Fair what, everyone get represented by DAP in Teluk Intan. Indian rep already ADUN, so MP select young Malay candidate good opportunity... That's why DAP took the risk to show the whole country even losing Teluk Intan with a brave choice is the way forward!

Since you shoot blanks again, ada pergi Teluk Intan kah? I wish a lot of Teluk Intan voters there have good Internet and smartphones to go read news like you claim. Nevermind since Shabery already promise to give good Internet infrastructure to Teluk Intan during the by-election, then he as Minister knows the broadband situation better than keyboard warrior like you la LOL... Fast Internet and smartphone maybe for you living in Selangor la.

Anyway, Dyana will continue to grow and improve for a rematch in GE14. So don't worry. Kalah menang adat pertandingan. As long as BN don't give walkover like in Penang la. Walkovers are very embarassing to your own supporters to spin and defend. So we move forward, that's all to next contest...

Like what UMNO fellas jokingly tell me; every rural, semi-urban areas government helped to develop to become urban areas always will become PR strongholds like Selangor, KL, Penang.
Soon Johor too, banyak projek pembangunan sana tu. But you all be careful not to oppose or be charged for sedition against Sultan Johor later. Fast fast developed and urbanized. We are waiting. Hehe.
What to do? That's the nature of politics easier to control rural mindset but once exposed to urban life, people become smarter. So we plan for the new future of campaigns.

Dun worry, PR can be patient waiting for over 2 million new voters registering by GE14 and older voters to pass away. Simple.

    6. Hey Kluang bitch slut,DAP sows like you are only good at cocksuckling a pig's cock, period. You shut your bloody Kit Sial cum filled mouth and get outta this blog if you have a sinew of selfr-espect in you, pundek pukimak of wasted sperm and egg!!

Your dad must have fucked a pig to have begotten you. Who you think you are? What do you understand about MALAYsia? What do you know about bloody bastard Chingk pig politics? You would be better off selling your filthy cunt in Chow Kit than trying to act like some smart bitch here which you aint by a zillion miles.

Dyana was fucked right from the word go. The insider news is that the DAP bastards knew of her mum's Perkasa past and her presence at their functions. They decided to slaughter her to teach the other Malay pariahs in DAP a lesson. In short, they set her up and the stupid self conceited ugly fat bitch, Dyana swallowed their cum wholesale egged on as she was by another useless, pigheaded, cockstarved, moron called Marina.

The game was simple: set her up as Malay candidate to woo and trick the Malays, and leak her Perkasa photos to get the Chingk pigs to fuck her. If she had won, boast the Malays had accepted new politics. If she lost, laugh and smile in private for a mole had been slaughtered. And the air-headed bitch suckled Kit Siang's cock like a goddamned besotted flossy.

They marketed her like a product, teaching her what to say and how to act and dress to different voters based on race and religion. So dengan melayu tudung, baju kurung act demure, sopan santun. With chingk pig, tight shirt and trousers to show her filthy ugly bums and saggy breasts plus free hair and bright red lipstick. And talk like a twisted tongued liar, denying the obvious even when the evidence is staring at her in theface!! That is aint surprising given all Dapsters are of the same ilk!

You ingat Melayu bodohkah macam babi...We can see a dupe a million miles away even though we act sopan santun to her, that is our high refined culture not your no class Chingk pig shit culture or snake tongued keling budaya. We entertain her for the sake of her muka and the ugly old bitch,Yummy. But we know they are Melayu pariah who dont deserve a vote...end of story.

The Chingk pigs, hating everything Melayu quadrupled its hatred when it knew she was Perkasa and on orders of their arsefucking godfathers delivered the killer blow. Till now, Dyana tak sedar diri. She still think she won but that is only in Kit Sial's cockland or Chibai Guan Eng's arsepit. She LOST and LOST BIG. In fact she LOST EVERYTHING, MARUAH included.

Only mad bitches like you Kluang pundek talk lies. But that is normal for a filthy bitchy pig like you for after all you do all your talking through your cunt NOT the other natural hole that Allah gave you on your head. Come 2018, there will be no Dyana, Liana, Tiana or Riyana...there will only be tiuniamah, get it. Now get lost into your mother's filthy cunt or get your papa to arsefuck and cuntrape you for being a blithering moron!! Bitch!

Nope. We all know that there is an internal conflict in Perak, plus the way DAP has treated the former late MP on his death bed, and this was reported a week before Dyana name was announced as candidate. They couldn't agree on the candidate, thus Dyana was parachuted there by LIM KIT SUANG and Son. That is why LKS is beside her 24-7. Please google some of the news, she can even answer the questions without LKS and the gang interupting.

Who are you trying to fool here again?

Re. I wish a lot of Teluk Intan voters there have good Internet and smartphones to go read news like you claim.

Need not worry about them, worry about your own poor community where many have resorted to becoming gangsters as per PDRM report 75% of the gangster are Indian.

Re. Walkovers are very embarassing to your own supporters to spin and defend. So we move forward, that's all to next contest...

These are Chinese Majority Areas. Get your fact right first. That is why it is very easy to identify the Chinese Tsunami in PRU13. Where are the Indian btw? Still in estates? Is there any Estate anymore?

Re. Soon Johor too, banyak projek pembangunan sana tu. But you all be careful not to oppose or be charged for sedition against Sultan Johor later.

I know my Sultan very well. I am a Johorean. Johoreans know him well and do you think the non-Malay can play fool with him?

Did the Chinese won in the Malay majority areas?

Re. Fast fast developed and urbanized. We are waiting. Hehe.

Yupe, the Malay got their PERKS and PRIVILEGES and the INDIAN BITE THE DUST.

Re. What to do? That's the nature of politics easier to control rural mindset but once exposed to urban life, people become smarter. So we plan for the new future of campaigns.

You can't even win PRK Teluk Intan in Chinese Dominated areas to begin with. Read my comment about Ram Karpal Singh winning in Bukit Gelugor, without BN/UMNO support the rest of the candidates lost their deposits. Not because Ram Karpil Singh is a name to be recognized with, but he won based on strong support from DAP followers, more than 50% didn't turn up and couldn't be bothered to vote. It is going to be Malay-Tsunami coming PRU14.

Re. Dun worry, PR can be patient waiting for over 2 million new voters registering by GE14 and older voters to pass away. Simple.

Simple? It will be simpler if you ask the Indian gangsters to gun the older one down. Fast track to heaven (of hell?) to them and fast track for the younger one to become a rising star.

      Add Indian to the list too..and here is the result;

Quote "The Chinese support for DAP decreased by 15% from 85% in GE2013 to 70% in this by-election which was the most pessimistic projection.

This was somewhat surprising given the positive response that the campaign was receiving from the Chinese voters including the mammoth ceramah on the final day of the campaign.

The Indian support for DAP decreased by 10% from 62% in GE2013 to 52% in this by-election, again the most pessimistic projection.

If there was a silver lining to this campaign, it would be the slight increase in Malay support of 3% from 25% in GE2013 to 28% in this by-election.

In 6 Malay majority polling stations, the DAP experienced small increases in the overall support ranging from 0.7% to 3.4%, an encouraging sign given that we were not expecting the Malay support to increase." Unquote

  13. No need think so many reasons why the Chinese voted for BN this time. It's all because this is just a by election. They would have thought that even if DAP win they wont be forming the government. It's just another voice in parliament for them. But if Bn wins, for 3 years before the next general election they may be getting better roads, better facilities, new mosque, temples, shrines, and new schools and townhalls. It's worth a gamble to vote in BN this time. Whether this is the battle of Leningrad as Annie says then we have to wait for the next general election..

And I believe DAP will be like the terminator says..

    I'll be backkk......

  15. Annie,
To lose nearly 7000 votes is no joke. The Dasters can give thousand of excuses for losing but the fact remains that DAP became arrogant and too overconfident.Yesterday I read one established blogger apologised and to take out his word for saying DAP will win hand down even if they put monkey to represent them in Teluk Intan.

Ong Kian Ming's take on the Teluk Intan by-election results

"The Chinese support for DAP decreased by 15% from 85% in GE2013 to 70% in this by-election which was the most pessimistic projection.

In 6 Malay majority polling stations, the DAP experienced small increases in the overall support ranging from 0.7% to 3.4%, an encouraging sign given that we were not expecting the Malay support to increase."

What? A decrease in support from the Chinese and Indian voters to DAP by 15% and 10% respectively. My reading is either they hate Dyana that bad or Lim Kit Siang has lost his fang.....Both of them are "Pasangan Kembar Siam" during the campaign or some bloggers aptly put it as a Puppet and its Ventriloquist.

      P.S

Can the KLuang Minachi comment on this?
