Very big important news

Big news.

MIC Wanita chief Mohana Muniyandi had whacked former PM Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

This is the report by Rakyat Post (I highlighted the important bits):

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 17, 2015:: MIC national Wanita chief Mohana Muniandy has called former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad a desperate man with his attempts to oust Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
She said Najib has been rectifying the mistakes of Dr Mahathir who as Prime Minister marginalised the welfare of the Indians.
“I urge Dr Mahathir to stop the bickering and becoming a hindrance in Najib’s efforts of uplifting the Indian community in Malaysia.
“We Indians are just seeing some light by benefiting from the Barisan Nasional government. So I strongly urge Dr Mahathir to stop being a stumbling block in spoiling our chances in doing so.
“Let us Indians move forward and stand tall among all races in Malaysia,” she said in a press statement.
She said there was not one day that Dr Mahathir did not criticise Najib.
“It is so frequent that one will be able to see the desperation or rather obsession of Dr Mahathir in achieving his goal to somehow oust our Prime Minister.
“There is no other Prime Minister who has undertaken so tremendous amount of efforts for the betterment of the Indian community than Najib. He has done more in six years than what Dr Mahathir had done for the Indians in 23 years.”
Mohana went on to point out that it was under Najib that RM660 million was allocated to transform Tamil schools, apart from setting aside two ministerial positions in the Cabinet to represent the Indian community.
Najib, she added, also allocated RM2 billion Amanah Saham Satu Malaysia shares for the Indians and  formed a secretariat for Indian empowerment, as well as a special committee in the Cabinet to look after the welfare and affairs of the Indians in Malaysia.
“No other Prime Minister other than Najib has initiated such moves.”
Meanwhile, Bernama also reported another big news,
Well, I'm sure the Indian community will go all out to vote for BN in the next general election if these MIC people get their wishes.
If I'm not mistaken, only 40 per cent of Indian voters voted for BN in the last general election.
Well, this time I think it should be 99 per cent if MIC people are empowered properly.
Just for the record, I think the per capita income of Malaysian Indian households is better than that of the bumiputera.

  1. On average, per capita income of Indians is more than Malays. Why do you think?

It's because the 1% of them who became lawyers charge their clients 100k per case. Win or lose.

    Bloody snake!

    1. Najib giving out nearly three quarters of a billion Ringgit to Tamil schools and must be much more to Chinese schools was not in line with the Constitution. Based on Article 152 on BM, vernacular schools should not be encouraged in this country.

That's in line with his Cash Is King belief. No guarantee that the Chinese and the Indians would vote BN at PRU14. They didn't at PRU13 when a big sum of the amounts stated above had already been disbursed. Instead Najib got the Chinese tsunami. Possibly the Indian tsunmi as well.

Because of such policies, he might even get a Malay tsunami. So, UMNO must replace him well before PRU14.

    3. Bout of flu, not much writing long comments also because the woman claims Indians are being marginalized by Tun Dr Mahathir. So, being "a marginalized group", not much to write about, hehe.

Where's the Tebing Tinggi woman and her fellow low-attention-span mates, I now feel able to write long comments again.

Good that the woman spoke about TDM's "attempts to oust Najib" and that "there was not one day that Dr Mahathir did not criticise Najib." It drives home the point that there are reasons why Najib should be replaced.

But, she being from a self-acclaimed marginalized group, people remember less her criticisms of TDM and more of TDM's criticisms of Najib.

    4. "empowered properly"? Now the Indians who constitute 6% of the population and MIC having only 4 Parliamentary seats been asking for 2 Ministers posts, a proportionate number of Deputy Ministers, etc?

So, proportionately, UMNO with 88 seats should have 44 Ministers posts? Then it will end up with such posts as Menteri Angkat Tahi, Menteri Angkat Bola. The Muniyandi woman should take the latter post. Crazy.

But Najib will probably promise everybody the number of posts each component party wants. And have a cabinet of 60 Ministers, 120 Deputy Ministers, if UMNO/BN win at PRU14. He will have three Finance Minister's posts. To handle more 1MDB and RM2.6 billion projects. Mad.

Then he will look for more laws to abolish, anything having the slightest discrimination against anybody, especially anything that smells of the caste system, etc. So-called liberalism, like he abolished the EO, RRA and ISA.

And maybe he'd think of flip flopping on the Sedition Act again. If he does that, it would be disaster of the most serious proportions. That which Ketua Ketua Bahagian, Pemuda and Wanita UMNO have spoken up and Najib flip flopped and retained the last time.

For all those ghastly prospects, UMNO needs to replace Najib. With some one sober, who has a good sense of proportion, who will carry out policies strictly based on the Constitution and, most importantly, who is not guided by the belief that Cash Is King.

What happened to all the shares, land etc etc that were handed to MIC during TDM's time? What happened to all the other assets accumulated by the MIC during the 22 years that TDM was PM?

So Najib is doing more for the Indian community than TDM ever did? Chexk you history first la before you open your mouth to bash TDM. Don't simply be a pun..k!

  9. When you say the per-capita income of the Indians are higher than Bumiputeras, please be mindful that Bumiputeras include not just the Malays BUT ALSO the orang Sabah, orang Sarawak and orang Aslis' and as a result this gives a skewed statistic on the per capita income purporting to show Indians doing much better than the Bumiputeras. If the per capita income is collated and calculated only on the Malays it will show that the Malays have a much higher per capita income as compared to the Indians and maybe even narrowing the gap against the Chinese.

In any event let us not read too much into these statistics as the wealth of Syed Bukhari, Ananda Krishnan or Tony Fernandez will give a rosy picture on the overall per capita income of the Malays and Indians. Remove them from the statistics and the result may be different and even reflect real poverty.

Najib "just wouldn't and you couldn't make him (do it)" now does not mean people can't keep on asking him to resign.

Hope the intention in saying "tell us again for the 100-th time" is not to say "Don't tell us again". If so, very sad, undemocratic and attempting to prevent free speech, individual right and so on.

      Delete
    5. People are asking Najib to resign all over the places. One way or another. In simple language, via financial analysis and through complicated attempts at finding out the sense or if there were dubious, unclear and shady aspects in the deals 1MDB made with PetroSaudi etc.

Also by checking UMNO Annual Reports since 2009 to find out if the RM2.6 billion "donation" was stated and if UMNO submitted such annual reports that all societies are required to submit to Registrar of Societies (RoS).

      Delete
    6. To know whether Najib "formally" reported the RM2.6 billion to UMNO and whether UMNO reported it to Registrar of Societies (RoS) via its Annual Reports since 2009 (the year the "donation" was received), go to Pure Shiite blog.

Just click on the box showing that name in the column on the right hand side of this page and you'll get the facts and a lengthy explanation. It was said there that the donation was not reported to RoS or entered in UMNO's accounts submitted to RoS.

To have some idea of the complicated processes undertaken by 1MDB in their deals with PetroSaudi etc, such things as a sum of RM700 million illegally diverted to another account, and 1MDB accounts did no tally despite the audit by an international firm called Deolite, read the latest post in the Pure Shiite blog said above.

But that latest post contains a lot of financial analysis, references and cross-references, figures and data. The average person is recommended to read the previous post first - about not declaring the RM2.6 billion "donation" in UMNO's Annual reports and accounts submitted to RoS.

    7. Attorney General's Chambers cleared 1MDB of any wrongdoing, this time via a press conference. But MACC Deputy Commissioner said on the day of his retirement that MACC was still investigating 1MDB and "the most powerful man in the country" is involved.

After that, the MACC Commissioner said he was hoping for a meeting and the IGP said he was also ready for one that would re-activate the Special Task Force on 1MDB that the AG had said earlier was not disbanded and still exists.

The public is expecting the Special Task Force to be re-activated and the new AG is now under strong pressure to do it. If he doesn't, the legal system of the country would appear to be defective and Najib losing respect locally and overseas. That would help efforts to get UMNO replace him.

I suspect the verdict is already determined. The new PAC Chairman will sure want to "protect UMNO's interests". Meaning Najib's interests." And that is, no wrong doing in 1 MDB and the RM2.6 billion.

He will use the Auditor General's Report as a basis. And remember, the Accountant General and the Audit Dept is a Government department, the staff all makan gaji with the gomen and must know which side their bread (and promotions) is buttered.

I'm more interested in the Special Task Force investigating 1MDB. Of course the new AG will drag his feet, has not responded to the calls by the MACC Commissioner and the IGP for some one to initiate a meeting to resuscitate the Special Task Force.

The former AG was not suddenly removed from his post and the new AG was not appointed as a replacement for nothing. The former Judge is now a normal gomen officer, makan gaji and must know which side his bread is buttered, too.

Najib or "hidden hands" were so daring, crude and brutal in this respect. People are now asking the new AG, "Et tu brute?" Najib knows Shakespeare but he won't care. With sembahayang hajat in many places, God will punish him, I'm sure.

    25. The Muniandy kind in Sabah and Sarawak are so few. In Sabah, those from across the border who got citizenship during Tun Dr Mahathir's time have been so grateful to the Establishment that they'd vote even a dud put in by UMNO/BN. What more the current CM is smart, far from dud-ly.

TDM has admitted even at the RCI, I think, that there were a few hundred thousand officially given permanent stay papers in the normal processing of applications from those who have lived without papers in Sabah for generations.

After 10 years or so they were eligible to apply for citizenship. Apply they did, and Blue ICs they got, which they proudly brought to the polling booths at subsequent PRUs. MIC Muniandy should not grudge this giving permanent stay happening during TDM's rule as they are staunch supporters of BN.

But Ajib Gor gave citizenship to many Indians. As suggested in an earlier comment, these may include many new India-mari ones. This is an example of what many UMNO members have been disappointed with Najeeb (double e).

Insya Allah the anti-Najib momentum will lead to UMNO asking him to berundur or he resigns of his own tak tahan suasana sentiasa panas.

  18. whats happening Mohana Muniandy? Najib cuma chakap the Chinese are not Pendatang.Nothing mentioned about the Indians.Could it be that he only whispered to you alone that the Indians are not Pendatang. If so do tell us.During Dr.M era no such term prevailed.Such term never crossed the minds of his ministers.

  20. The MIC woman can say all she wants - she must have found freedom of expression in MIC that was absent during Samy Veloo's time.

The fact remains that Najib's 1MDB had so many irregularities that need answering and Tun Dr Mahathir will continue hitting both. A new Chairman of PAC was agreed to in Parliament yesterday - clearly Najib's man, saying he would not seek advice from his predecessor Nur Jazlan, who was leaning towards the truth in several aspects of the hearing (like on 1MDB auditing) but "promoted" to Deputy Minister by Najib.

  21. After the AGC press conference, Bank Negara Malaysia came out saying in a statement yesterday evening that BNM can by itself take administrative actions, which include issuing an order to comply or remedy breaches under the Financial Services Act and the Islamic Financial Services Act 2013.

"These actions may be taken concurrently with, and are separate and distinct from, criminal proceedings that are under the sole purview of the AG," it said.

These actions include the imposition of monetary penalties, issuance of an order to comply, make restitution to any person aggrieved by a breach, public and private reprimands and an order to take steps to mitigate or remedy a breach. "This is to ensure the integrity of, and confidence in, the financial system."

Of course MIC Muniandy would not touch on the huge minus factors of Najib's rule that have led to the eroding of confidence in the financial system leading to the weakening Ringgit and declining FDI.

Like 1MDB breaches that led to BNM cancelling previous three approvals for foreign remittances and ordering that over a billion Ringgit be brought back to the country. Alas, the money has gone out of the window.

  22. Some credit to Muniandy - she did not sound terribly antagonistic.

I support the view that those who want to defend anybody must not be antagonistic to others. Else they'd lose the effect of their arguments in the antagonism.

Any one antagonistic to another race is racist. Antagonistic to Tun Dr Mahathir is Najbist. Antagonistic to Najib is simply a rightist. hehe

  23. Is the MIC Wanita Chief blowing a smokescreen for the endless infighting in MIC? Fights for the President's post have become legendary. Vaal Pari, Samy Veloo's son in again, out again as a Vice President candidate.

So, to divert people's attention, whack Tun Dr Mahathir, eh? Puji Najib who so many people want UMNO to replace. Like in Canada, just announced that they changed the PM in the current national elections. A young man (early 30s, son of former PM Trudeau?) unexpectedly won.

But please lah, not the not-so-young Khairy Pemuda UMNO to ganti in Malaysia. He has been erratic in his statements in the past.

  25. Najib is giving easy money to Indians. The problem is the Indians will be stuck up to bumiputra when they are more powerful. They will not remember that the Malay Pm made them artificially powerful. Easy handouts. And I'm worried that so many Indians got citizenship recently. I bet many of them illegal immigrants from India. And later influx of teachers from india. I know from experience Indian will be very biased towards their own race when in piwer. I still cannot forget how this one Indian lady in the train mengutuk Melayu macam-macam in front of me just to make me sakit hati. When she got out of the train I saw some kind of satisfaction on her face. Indians made fun of Najib and Umni just like Chinese. And Najib is empowering them more. When i look at Brickfiels I am wondering how many illegal immigrants will be empowered by Najib. And I bet the allocation to the temple is also very big. In one area a temple and a masjid standing side hy side. But the Indian temple looks so grand I thought I was in India.

    2. For the sake of the votes, Najib is willing to let the "Malay" in the name Malaysia less pronounced. Like the stupid Tengku A Rahman who gave away Singapore to Lee kuan Yew FOC in 1965. Di sayang and di tatang dek DAP until to day.

Yet DAP has been hantamming PAP of Singapore in a spat with the Spore Foreign Minister - what's the name - recently.

Indian Brickields, Chinese Petaling Street, so-called Malay Kampung Bahru with overhead walkway links with KLCC etc. But I think he allows the newly developed units built out of the State land there to be partly sold to non-Bumis. He said so when talking about plans to develop the Malay area before PRU13. Maybe that was one reason he got the worst election results among all PMs since Merdeka. That's why many want him replaced now.

    3. The bloody Pakatan Rakyat (whatever they have become now) was also responsible for diluting the "Malay" in the name Malaysia. The Buddha statue in Batu Caves is touted as the biggest in Southeast Asia. Passing Batu Caves, people forget being in Malaysia.

Bloody Anwarul Al Juburi being the root cause of it all. Gila kuasa, even willing to put aside Ketuanan Melayu (represented by many of the sensitive clauses in the Constitution on Malay Rulers etc) and talked about so-called ketuanan rakyat.

Whatever it means kepala hotak dia, but people becoming brazen and nobody in authority in the municipal council of the area objected or ruled down such a size of a statue some said built without proper engineering considerations.

    4. Excuse please sir, the gigantic statue at Batu Caves is not that of the Buddha Gautama Siddhartha. It is one of the devas in their Hindu pantheon.

    2. Najib was desperate. For votes. Tun Dol lost the 2/3 Parliamentary majority at PRU12. Never before. Najib became jittery when PRU13 was approaching.

Then he went cuckoo. Pursued Cash Is King policy. Used Treasury money. Huge grants to Tamil schools and Chinese schools. He partially recognized UEC, the Chinese schools qualification. Gave scholarships to the richest community in the country. RM2 billion Amanah Saham allocation to the Indians. He felt not enough. Wanted to give more. Driven by the belief that Cash Is King.

Step son Riza brought his school mate Jho Lo into the picture.
Schemed up the 1MDB. Taking over the Trengganu Investment Authority that Jho Lo set up with Trengganu royalty. Najib pumped some Treasury money into it.

He got the title to the 500 acres State land, the former Sg Besi airport, transferred as asset of 1MDB. Then went into an elaborate scheme for 1MDB to enter into dubious business deals with PetroSaudi. In the process, he got RM2.6 billion banked into his personal accounts before PRU13.

His huge current problems started from there. Where will they lead to? Possibly being replaced as UMNO President and PM by UMNO. That's what people are clamouring for now. Even the Malay Rulers have weighed in. And Tun Dr Mahathir said the Constitution allows that. I agree.

And repeating the same stuff, using short comments. Nampak aje ramai and they try to pretend they are ramai. Actually just a handful of blokes in Komtar Building in Penang, headed by Tokong Lim's woman Press Secretary, same as Tokong Lim's office.

So, don't give them the glory and sense of a formidable force. Just a handful of us can kentot them. Except they also go into the vernacular language blogs. MCA & Geralan should coiner this for PRU14.

  29. Regarding Malay Rulers statement of 1MDB and the RM2.6 billion, Tun Dr Mahathir said in his blog (BM version is given there):

Sec 39 of the Federal Constitution ...states clearly that “The executive authority of the Federation shall be vested in the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and exercisable, ,,,, by him or any Minister authorised by the Cabinet, but the Parliament may by law confer executive functions on other persons.

Section 40 states clearly that the Agong shall be entitled, at his request to any information available to the Cabinet.

These two sections clearly gives the Yang di-Pertuan Agong some executive roles.

  30. MIC Muniandy had not taken into account that what Tun Dr Mahathir has been doing against Najib was to voice, on behalf of the rakyat - like what the Rulers did - their grouses and dissatisfaction against Najib.

    TDM also said:

    Section 40 para (2) clearly states the Yang di-Pertuan Agong may act in his discretion in the performance of;

    a) the appointment of the Prime Minister

    b) the withholding of consent to a request for dissolution of Parliament

    c) Federal law may make provisions for requiring the Agong to act after consultation with or on the recommendation of any person or body of persons

In the recent past we have seen Rulers rejecting nominees by the majority party for the office of Menteri Besar.

Should the Prime Minister request for the dissolution of Parliament, the Agong may reject.

Again we see here that the Agong and the Rulers may act on their own discretion. They may also consult and accept recommendations of any person or body of persons.

Obviously if petitions are made or there is a public clamour, the rulers may not have to listen only to the Cabinet.

My comment: the Rulers' statement said that members of the rakyat had approached them, hence they are taking action based on that also.

  31. The last Article that was quoted in Tun Dr Mahathir's blog is:

Section 41 unequivocally states that the Yang di- Pertuan Agong shall be the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Federation. Clearly it is not just the privilege of wearing the uniform.

Yes, that's very interesting. Consider that deeply, folks. It's worth repeating:
it is not just the privilege of wearing the uniform.
