The Rulers' actual Press release on 1MDB
The statement was made after the pre-council meeting of the Rulers' Conference.
I had checked and was told that the pre-council meeting is actually exclusively attended by the nine Malay Rulers or their direct representatives and no one else.
In this case, they are the Rulers of Perlis, Kedah, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan.
It's a real band of brothers kind of stuff.
Not even the governors of Penang, Malacca, Sarawak and Sabah were invited,
There were also no PM and menteri besar.
In fact, a senior palace official told me that the pre-council meeting is more important than the actual Rulers' conference because in that meeting, the Rulers can express themselves more freely with each other as there are no outsiders monitoring the whole thing.
So, that rare statement issued after the pre-council meeting genuinely represents the wishes of the Rulers and not a case of it being hijacked or other kind of bullshit as suggested by some.
In reply to that, the Attorney General Chamber issued this statement,
“There Was No Offence Committed By The 1MDB Officials”
The way I read it, the AGC or to be more precise AG TS Mohamad Apandi Ali was telling the Rulers that the 1MDB issue had been investigated and he found nothing wrong with it.
The AG also seemed to say that the investigation by Bank Negara, the only one concluded so far (the other being that of the police and MACC) had been carried out poorly.
The AGC had rejected the Bank Negara's recommendation for it to take action against those who created the mess at 1MDB, triggering the whole crisis. The AGC also turned down an appeal by Bank Negara on the matter.
The AG basically said if there is anyone to blame for a less than convincing performance in the 1MDB saga, then it should be Bank Negara for carrying out a sloppy investigation.
Imagine that, Apandi telling the highly respected Bank Negara governor TS Zeti Akhtar Aziz that she's sloppy.
Of course the cute lady reacted.
Thus this statement yesterday,
BANK NEGARA - Statement on 1MDB
It's basically a slap in the face of the AGC.
The delivery of the slap was so deliberate and calculated that it's even painful just to watch it landed on the intended target.
I think Zeti just don't give a shit anymore.
They had tried all sorts of dirty tricks on her these past months and she had kept quiet.
She and her team just did their job.
For context, please read my previous posting;
The attacks on Zeti have continue till today.
This time I think they have pushed her too far, thus her fightback
I'm expecting her to be replaced soon.
I can't imagine how it's going to be if they let her finishes her tenure as Bank Negara governor till end of next year.
How they are going to do it is another difficult question.
They cannot just sack her because it will further erode not only Malaysians' confidence in the government but also the international community as Zeti is highly regarded around the world.
My bet is that they will make her situation very difficult that she will have no choice but to quit herself.
That's the SOP these days if they want to get rid of someone whose work is good and the person is highly principled and respected,
It will be a sad day when Zeti has to leave that way or any other way.
"My bet is that they will make her situation very difficult that she will have no choice but to quit herself. That's the SOP (of Ah Jib Gor) these days if they want to get rid of someone whose work is good and the person is highly principled and respected."
ReplyDeleteWhich son of a bitch could stoop so low in the noble land of Melayu?
I doubt if Zeti wd quit. She's quite a tough nut to crack. Remember, her father Royal Prof Ungku Aziz, former UM Vice Chancellor, is still around, isn't it, to give her courage and sound advice, always. The old man will sure tell her quitting is admitting defeat for nothing.
DeleteNo doubt the "hidden hands" will try all sorts. Btw, can anybody give some views who these blokes are? Or any links leading to such views.
Noberdy wanna say nothin on hidden hands aaaaaaaaa........must be very powerful one everybody scary aaaaaaaaa.......or all body fedap with wat dey do and o wanna say........
DeleteCan i say cilaka hidden hands...........DAP Ayer where r u?......
9.38 bitch a female dog unclean like sow from dictonary
DeleteAnnie,
ReplyDeleteZeti nampak macam ada integriti , berbanding menteri -menteri jantan , ketua -ketuabhg umno jantan , ketua -ketua jabatan (IGP ,KSN , dan lain-lain) jantan ,meraka ini macam tak ada teloq atau teloq di picit oleh tangan gaib , berbanding Zeti yang tak perlu ada teloq , Mungkin mereka ini berimankan kedudukan dan harta sebab itu diam dan menyokong penyelewengan , Adoi malaysia sedih sungguh , macam Tun M cakap malaysia now is liked a paria state.
the new minted AG is performing to expectation - i.e to protect his master from being charged..
ReplyDeleteThe Tun Majid fler oso ..... read the ACG statement pooh pooh-ing BNM.
DeleteWatch him, he wd be appointed AG if anything happens to Apandi under Ajib's watch. Dunno what honorary title they'd give him - his name already carries Tun.
Spot on annie...
ReplyDeletejib also has his band of brothers and sis always defend him. dr m also has his brothers willing to go to jail. here where are the brotherhood and sisterhood? big talk and all nato
Deleteannie seriously, read the perlembagaan. there is majlis raja2 directly under YDP Agong. they have the right to convene.
ReplyDeleteand they do have their right and say in the matter of National concern.
not just the band of brothers u made it sounds like.
Go to this blog owned by a university lecturer to know their right -

You don't socialize much do you
DeleteI don't think Annie meant anything derogatory when saying "band of brothers. In fact I think she was trying to portray the image of brotherliness and camaraderie among the Rulers.
DeleteAnnie,
ReplyDeleteHope Zeti has the resolve to withstand any pressure to get her out.
If the crooks succeed, it will be the biggest casualty......in fact bigger than the elimination of TSMY.
Just look at the casualties....DPM, AG,SB,SPRM and pretty soon BNM.
And Zahidi Komedi still doesn't want to tell the identity of the Pak Donor Arab......please lah Zahid......reveal the Pak Donor Arab soon....otherwise many of your friends will lose their jobs or end up in jail with the SOSMA tag.
This time, following BNM's latest statement, the knot around Ah Jib's neck
has gotten tighter......
The attacks are fast and furious....TDM,Rulers Council, Foreign press, Ling Liong Sik,Opposition,G25,TMJ, Bersih,SR and many more.
Hope your believe in him as innocent all these while is not true after all.
Agree with you. I believe Zeti has the wherewithal to withstand the pressure and stay.
DeleteMy wish is for the "silent hands" to go or be made silent. In more ways than one.
Annie,
ReplyDeletePlease tell your so called 'sifu' rockybru that he has sink to the lowest level of 'bootlicker'. His blog shows he has totally lost the plot amd has become another garbage blogs that suck up to Najib. What a shame!!
I learnt about freedom of speech from Rocky. Everyone have the right to it within the boundary of the law.
DeleteI agree with 1155. The lucky guy got a top-range BMW, eh?
DeleteThe lucky annie also got some cash to buy a motorbike what!!!!! Same species kahkahkahkah
Deletedonation from part of 2.5 billion donation. semua okay, semua gembira
DeleteAnnie is still ok. She can still remain neutral. Maybe because she is not his babe.

ReplyDeleteEconomy:
You must remain until Malaysia is safe, Yg Bhg TS Governor
you a Wharton School acclaimed central banker.
Corporate governance:
You must press criminal charges, Yg Bhg TS A-G
against the errant 1MDB officers for making the original misrepresentation.
If willful then they must go to jail.
If negligence, there must be lessons learned and SOPs tightened.
OK, what to say .. ?
You've been most respectful Yg Bhg DS Dr Ahmad
but UMNO must also be reappraising realtionships kan(?)
that with the Majlis, for this new behaviour
" Enggang lalu ranting patah"
Daulat Tuanku !
Haji M Zin
Alor Gajah DPH
Agree with you on Zeti. My wish is that she stays even beyond end of next year. Alas, her term ends by then. If Najib continues as PM until then, no hope for an extension of her service.
ReplyDeleteThat's one of he reasons I support those calling for UMNO to replace Najib. The Ringgit and the economy will continue to suffer if he continues. And UMNO/BN will lose PRU14.
But not sure what you mean on Ahmad Zahid(?). And what you mean by "reappraising realtionships kan(?) that with the Majlis, for this new behaviour."
remove jibb? more than that. look, many come out and angkat jibb kaki. they accept jibb's offer naik pangkat. they are his men all in his plot.
DeleteMost of all they succumb to "Cash Is King" concept. Succers.
DeleteGua tolong lu, lu tolong gua
DeleteI've read comment dissing you dear Annie. But I think you're the smartest of the pro-Najib bloggers. This posting (to me) gets to the heart of the matter.
ReplyDeleteAnnie pro-Najib? Really? Then why did she say her PMO friends now not eve answering her phone calls? Poor Annie, neither here nor there, eh?
DeleteBut better than Apandi, pro-Najib, got whacked by Outsidethebox etc.
Good that she appears to be defending Zeti. Or at least speaking for Zeti in the above post.
she pro najib. otherwise dr m tried very hard for months n everyone support najib.najib ada power dan $¥£€
DeleteSame to killai.
DeleteNak kena repeat - "teloq najib pun sekarang dipicit terlampau kuat oleh tangan ghaib gedempol hingga nak tercabut dah." hahaha hohoho hihihi
Kot kot tangan tuh yang ghaib bukan saja kat teloq tapi juga kat gani pattail dan depa yang alih alih kena tukaq tempat keroja .......
Kalau lah teloq tuh meletop satu hari nanti .................
Thanks for checking and now you have got it confirmed that the pre-council meeting is actually exclusively attended by the nine Malay Rulers or their direct representatives and no one else.
ReplyDeleteHow I wish the late Sultan Perak Raja Azlan Shah is still around. He knows the law fully as he was the Lord President or Chief Justice during his time.
He knew and did one or two things not normal but within the law, too - calling the Perak ADUNs to determine whether then MB Mohd Nizar commanded the confidence of the majority in DUN Perak that led to Nizar becoming only a "Menteri Besar Sakejap".
He also initiated moves that led to ascendency to the Perak throne by direct lineage of the Sultan, not via the system of Raja Bendahara and Raja Muda from different families prior to the change.
If he is still around, there might have been a more dramatic statement from the Rulers Council.
How nice if some changes in the top leadership in UMNO and the country, all legal, no accusations of unseating the gomen by illegal means and so on.
DeleteThat BNM statement is perfect. Concise, to the point, legally and procedurally correct. I'd be proud to have the Officer who drafted it on my staff. Unless drafted by Zeti herself - I can't afford to pay her salary range!
ReplyDeleteBut Zeti would, like a good Manager I'm sure she is, let the relevant Officer on her staff draft it. She would have many good Officers - she has to, since BNM always deals with those of equivalent mettle in the international financial arena.
They also would have those qualified in law, experienced in banking laws working in the bank - there ought to be a legal department in BNM.
Assuming so, Governor Zeti would have the benefit of legal advice any time she needs it. That should fortify her resolve and ability to tepis and tendang the hidden hands. Insya Allah. (Need to count on the Almighty as one can never be certain on the extent devils would climb in the desperation to protect their positions).
Sembahayang Hajat di makbulkan Allah dlm kes tukar terkejut dua orang pegawai tinggi MACC.
DeleteIt is a countdown to our system of checks and balances.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that the office of AG has becoming capricious and compelling for power ignoring its limit and be balanced.
Capturing the notion that the good office has allowed AG to be influenced by the Executive. Besides has allowed the AG office to become too powerful and becoming too influential. It maybe summon for an abused of power.
As I see it, It is going to disable the constitutional "Separation of Powers", or it is just a figment of my imagination.
No real separation of powers for so long as the appointment of AG is made by PM and the AG is responsible to PM.
DeleteUnless AG is appointed by and made responsible to Parliament. Needs amendment to Constitution I think.
Separation of powers? Kidding. Gua tolong lu, lu ada tolong gua? Keep the post to those tolong gua
DeleteSeparation of powers? Kidding. Gua tolong lu, lu ada tolong gua? Keep the post to those tolong gua
DeleteYep, they will make it so difficult for her until she resigns voluntarily.
ReplyDeleteLike changing the dress rules in Bank Negara. Must go to office in bikini, stuffs like that.
Hahaha hohoho hihihi, gud one, pal.
DeleteI'll be looking for bundles of fake 100 Ringgit notes to exchange at BNM and risk being arresed for coming too often with dud bills.
Won't mind being arrested by the bikini staff, chance to do the nono nini stuff. What, being naughty? No, just chat them up.
I think she better quit.
Delete.. why not let the whole things hatched... let the 1MDB project completed, let the IPP transfer completed and let the whole episode occurs as though all this never happen, give some breathing space... after all if they loose, it's only a few billion lost, they still have asset like the completed property and IPP concessionaire...definitely much less than what we Malaysian used to loose before.
ReplyDeleteYou talking cock like kangkung king you know.
DeleteTAKKAN DIA NAK GIGIT ORANG YANG LANTIK DIA...... JILAT LAGI MAHU !
ReplyDeleteAnnie,
ReplyDeleteAku bersetuju analisa mu tepat. Lady Banker tu berhak naik marah because her name and reputasi appeared to be in danger of being pushed into the mud and slime by some low-life crooks. These scoundrels obviously tried to bully and brow-beat her into toeing their line.
In some middle eastern countries their womenfolk are relegated to a lower status than the men. Its almost an unspoken law that women are only to be seen but not heard; they must always be deferential and subservient to their husbands and even other men. Some of their ustaz and other religious leaders even go as far as to advocate beating of the wives by the husbands to inculcate obedience, it seems. In this present day, that truly nasty isn't it?
That the lady banker has been treated the way she has been may be a symptom of this culture of male dominance/superiority complex. Do you think this is present, alive and mutating in this country? I've been told by some Christian friends that even in the new testament of the Christian bible it is taught that women must obey their husbands with the implication that women are of lower status than men. This must be an intrinsic part of the culture of the Semitic peoples populating those lands, dating way back to Abraham of the old testament.
