Anwar trying to stay relevant with more streets protests (updated)

UPDATES

I was told by my journalist friend covering the Pakatan gathering at Kajang Stadium just now that Anwar did not even mentioned Reformasi 2.0 despite all the hype by his people.

Well, so much for all the noises.

Anwar is really an anti-climax.

ORIGINAL POSTING

DS Anwar Ibrahim is launching his Reformasi 2.0 in Kajang tonight.

I'm not really sure how he is going to pull it off with everyone at the moment are worrying about the missing MH370.

The Australian PM yesterday announced that some debris were spotted by satellite in the Indian Ocean, believed to be what's left of the missing plane.

I believe everyone were waiting anxiously for the confirmation of the finding.

Who actually cares about Anwar wanting people to go to the streets to topple the Malaysian government because he was convicted of buggering his former aide?

Probably only the staunchest of Pakatan supporters will be eager to do that.

I am sure others are sick and tired of all his nonsense.

I wonder if Anwar will tonight accuse the Australian PM and his administration of colluding with DS Najib Razak and the Malaysian government by timing the finding of the debris just when he was about to launch his streets protest.

After all, that was what he did to the Japanese authorities when he was denied entry into that country not too long ago.

So, tonight maybe PKR Youth members want to burn Australian flags the way they burned the Japanese flags the other day.

For Anwar, the world must always revolves around him.

Anyway, what is this Reformasi 2.0?

The young ones would probably have vague memories of the Reformasi riots of the late 1990s. It was a series of disturbances engineered by Anwar and his gang after he was sacked from his deputy prime minister post.

It was a violent time. Nothing compared with the Bersih streets rally where police exercise an amazing degree of restraint.

This sorts of behavior was not tolerated,

The boy who kicked the fallen policeman would had been probably whacked senseless for being so biadap and kurang ajar back then.

At that time it was the police who charged the unruly mob, instead of now where we got Tian Chua and Unit Amal members charging the police line.

And for whacking a policeman and turning into monkeys like this, the bastards would probably got a fractured skull in return.

Well, that was how it was during the original Reformasi. Nowadays these hooligans were getting away with anything short of murder.

I wonder if the police will just standby again if Anwar's minions start to create havoc again with the launching of the Reformasi 2.0 tonight.

On March 7, the day the Court of Appeals sentenced Anwar to five years jail for sodomy, his favorite boy, Azmin Ali declared in Kajang that Pakatan can only win if they take the fight to the streets.

It's war, he said.

I wonder if DAP and Pas will be interested to go to war to defend Anwar from going to jail for sodomy.

Some really nut case Pas members may want to join their PKR friends in the fun, but I doubt anyone in DAP will be too enthusiastic about all the nonsense.

Okay, maybe there are a few similarly loose screw DAP people who want to take part, but that's about it.

I don't think the Chinese were all that too enthusiastic to get whacked by the FRU in the event the authorities decided to get tough again like they were during the original Reformasi.

After all, Azmin Ali had already declared this to be a war, so, the authorities may take him seriously and really whacked those in the mob as it should be in a war.

So, what if they want to cry police brutality. It's war isn't it? You want war, then it's war you should get.

Back to the Chinese, if I remember correctly, the first time they went to a protest in large number was at the Himpunan Hijau in Kuantan to protest against Lynas.

The police did nothing to them at that rally.

Then they came in huge number to the Bersih rallies.

Festive carnival like atmosphere they said.

The only troubles were caused by some Malay ruffians among them.

Remember when Anwar gestured to Azmin for him to order the protesters to break through the police barriers at Dataran Merdeka?

Those provocations against the police were for the dramatic effect.

How else was he going to call them zalim and brutal if there were no such thrilling moments.

I doubt the Chinese really want a confrontation with a really zalim and brutal police force just to defend a Malay who was sentenced to jail for committing sodomy.

They not only don't want to have anything to do with the first Reformasi but had in fact sided with BN at that time. Without the Chinese all out support, BN would had lost the 1999 General Election.

Then there were the Bersih people like Ambiga. Will she join Reformasi 2.0? Anwar support you then, how can you say no to him now, right?

Marina Mahathir, you want to join this one? Go la with your daughter and support Anwar. It's fashionable, what. See what your dad has to say after that.

Well, I don't know how the authorities are going to handle this Reformasi 2.0 war being declared on them.

I hope they make the right decision this time.

If it's up to me, I won't let the troublemakers get away with such nonsense.

  2. Too sad about MH370 to bother about Anwar Ibrahim and his antics. I'm sure many others (Malays, Chinese Indian etc) feel the same.

  3. The nickname Al-Juburi was first given in 1997, by Mat Sabu almost at the same time when Karpal Singh accused him a Peliwat in Parliament. Till this day, Anwar had not sued or demanded an apology. Instead, both of them are his best friend now. He doesn't seem to bother or maybe proud with the title Al-Juburi.

Almost all my nephews, who was very young or about to enter life in the late 90s, did not know this fact. To them he is an angel. Because of his pious image, they all believed that the sodomy trial was ‘fitnah’ or a trumped-up charges by the government.

That’s why I always repeat this truth, anywhere, about what really happened, just before he was sacked from UMNO.
The Chinese knew he was a Peliwat and that is why they supported BN in GE 1999. After-all, Anwar is an ultra-Malay back then, to gain support from the Malays.

Therefore we should not be ashamed to use this ‘nickname’. In fact we should thanked Mat Sabu and Karpal Singh. The young don’t even know that/why Karpal Singh was not his lawyer in Sodomy 1, 1998. That is why, young teenagers are staunch supporters of this a**hole digger.

Therefore the next time you saw him on the street, don’t be afraid to called him Al-Juburi. He can’t sue you. If he did, I can guarantee that you will be acquitted base on the history the word Al-Juburi.

  4. "..a Malay who was sentenced to jail for committing sodomy."

I think instead of using sodomy... you should use the word rape. Sodomy somehow implies "suka sama suka" when we know that Saiful actually don't like it but was simply too scared to say no. It is a classic sexual harassment case.

    1. Saiful is a young man and he cannot run away. What about those female rape victims? They are supposed to fight back, but not Saiful, is it? Those young female victims are even more scared, yet they are expected to fight back, but not Saiful. Who is stronger, Saiful or an old man with a backpain. If Saiful did not refuse, it is not sodomy but consensus sex and why is Saiful not prosecuted.

  5. Yes, you call it as you see it. I just hope the police and authorities just whack the shit out of these bloody trouble makers. Throw the book at them. The police has taken more than enough shit from these deliquent bloody fools. Its about time to set the record straight and get rid of these trouble makers irrespective of their race or skin colour. Some of us want peace and we had enough of these racist servants, so called young politicians......crying foul at everything. Since you called for war, let's have it then.

Unbelievable, ksingh who knew what he did in the first sodomy (azizan)

  7. Your recollection of the events surrounding Refomasi is highly questionable. At that time Malaysia was in the throes of a financial crisis due to the crony capitalism practiced by Dr Mahathir. The demonstrations were a public outpouring of anger against a corrupt regime which had used an equally dubious judiciary to crush Dato Seri Anwar.

As I said in the last post, people have to stop and think how much they are willing to sacrifice for Anwar and for his cause. If people continue to be afraid, then they must bear with the BN government and their nefarious ways. Anwar has done all what he can, the question now is what will you do?

  9. Anwar is the most famous Malay son around. The only other Malay who is as widely known as Anwar is Mahathir bin Muhamad, who is touching 90. Anwar has done for more the Malay race than any other person alive today. He set up UIAM and is widely known for his Islamic credentials. He also popularized the goatee beard and the Arabic twang , which makes him instantly identifiable. Hearing Anwar speak livens you up, and Najib has tried to mimic the Anwar style when speaking in Malay.

To me, condemning Anwar is the same as condemning one of the most famous Malays around. Those who condemn him are usually brainwashed , narrow minded or supporters of corruption.

  14. Debaters should read the latest posting by Tun Dr Mahathir which is a veiled criticism on the present Government. In not so many words, Tun is agreeing with the principles of DSAI's struggle and reformasi. However, I admit that Tun has not explicitly backed DSAI but that is out of personal hatred. But unless people are willing to demonstrate, or even Tdm himself going on the streets, then Tun"s criticism is akin to pouring water on the keladi
