Umno must refute insinuation of high-level money politics

It's been quite a few days since Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad last fired a verbal salvo at PM DS Najib Razak.

I think it's either because he had run out of ammunition or saving them to pace his rate of fire.

Non-Pakatan anti-Najib's forces were however keeping up the pressure.

The latest were allegations by senior journalist-blogger Datuk A Kadir Jassin as in his post,

Perbendaharaan Tidak Cukup Duit?

Another anti-Najib blogger, Syed Akbar Ali then highlighted Kadir's complaints in his post, particularly on this point,

60 Ketua Bahagian To Get RM0.5M Each? Wow!! Duit Mana Mari?

Yes, I was particularly interested in that part of Kadir's allegation too.

Excerpts from Kadir's post:

"Saya difahamkan oleh sumber-sumber Umno bahawa satu lagi majlis solidariti (daripada perkataan Inggeris “solidarity” yang bererti perpaduan) dengan Perdana Menteri akan diadakan pada 11 Mei ini.

"Sumber-sumber itu mendakwa di majlis itu, Mohd Najib akan memberi peruntukan khas RM500,000 seorang kepada kira-kira 60 orang Ketua Bahagian Umno yang bukan wakil rakyat."

I hope the Umno guys will come out strongly to deny this particular allegation.

Coming from someone like Kadir who is a Tokoh Kewartawanan Negara, the allegation can be quite damaging not only to PM DS Najib Razak, but Umno as a whole.

I would have not wished Umno to react the same way if such an allegation comes from Pakatan though.

But since it came from Kadir, I think they should deny it to prevent further damage to Najib and the party.

The allegation insinuates the worst type of money politics which could be practiced within Umno.

Even if it's true that such amount of money will be dished out to the Umno divisional chiefs, then it must be made publicly known that the money belongs to the party and not the government.

It must also be made known that the total RM30 million allocation for the whole thing was meant strictly for party works instead of enriching the respective ketua bahagian and their followers in return for their support ahead of the crucial party general assembly, scheduled by end of this year.

At the Umno general assembly, it will likely be decided whether the party election will be held next year as scheduled or differed until after the next general election about three years from now.

This explanation must also be done convincingly by someone credible.....eerrr, I can think of only one name - DS Mustapa Mohamed.

Sorry, definitely not the likes of Ahmad Maslan, Sabree Chik or Ku Nan and the other jokers at the Umno HQ, please.

Okay, all that should be done if Umno don't want things to get too tough in the next general election....unless of course, the Umno's brilliant strategists and media bosses think otherwise la.

  2. Hi annie,
I dont think Tun m had run out of ammunation ,because his a man with principal , bukan macam najib cannot be trust , Tun dah beritahu dia bukan nak rosakkan BN dan UMNO tapi najib wajib berhenti untuk selamatkan umno daripada masuk longkang , so you wait after this PRK he come back with a lot of bombardment toward Najib until UMNO have to decide for good.

    1. I think my desire to always get better, [is a trait that accounts for my success], to always want more, to always be top critic against myself, and accepting the good and the bad . . . . I'm lucky to be part of a team who help to make me look good, and they deserve as much of the credit for my success as I do for the hard work we have all put in on the training ground . . . There's nothing more satisfying than seeing a happy and smiling child. I always help in any way I can, even if it's just by signing an autograph. A child's smile is worth more than all the money in the world . . . I prefer to win titles with the team ahead of individual awards or scoring more goals than anyone else. I'm more worried about being a good person than being the best football player in the world. When all this is over, what are you left with? When I retire, I hope I am remembered for being a decent guy.

  6. Pesanan Syeikh Raja Ali Haji . . .

    Barang siapa mengenal Allah,
suruh dan tegahnya tiada ia menyalahi.
    Barang siapa mengenal diri,
maka telah mengenal akan Tuhan yang bahari.
    Barang siapa mengenal dunia,
    tahulah iaitu barang yang terpedaya.

    Bersungguh-sungguh engkau memeliharakan tangan,
    daripada segala berat dan ringan.
    Apabila perut terlalu penuh,
    keluarlah fi'il yang tiada senonoh.
    Anggota tengah hendaklah ingat,
di situlah ramai orang yang hilang semangat
    Hendaklah peliharakan kaki,
    daripada berjalan yang membawa rugi.

    Barang siapa mengenal akhirat,
    tahulah ia dunia itu mudarat.

  7. First if you do not know what is the financial position of UMNO please refrain from commenting stupid statement that DS Najib will be handing out RM500,000 to each of the 60 UMNO Divisional leader. If it true, the allocation will be from UMNO dan the money goes to the party at divisional level. If there is no reasonable financial allocation, how can we expect UMNO divisional levels to manage the party and serve the rakyat?

  9. Najib's Transformation missed the Mahafiraun and Mahathirists everywhere. UMNO and BN is imploding.

You don't need PR to do the work or Anwar for that matter. Mamafiraun is doing the job which Anwar is unable to do.

The PM is only left with the Akta Hasutan. Period.

  10. Mr Najib Razak has only 1 thing to do- ie to explain what happened to all the money spent in 1MDB and answer Tun Mahathirs's questions. Simply buying trust with lots of money is going to breed more greedy malays in UMNO. I don't think all the other Malays will allow this to happen. Just answer the damn questions man, if not, your driver seat should be vacated. Let someone drive Malaysia back to its glory days!

  11. It is no longer an insinuation and has become a fact. The latest news from OSTB is that Santa Claus is giving away money to win support. I guess after Tun had asked the UMNO KB/grassroots to hear him out, Kangkung Jibby was having sleepless nite and finally found the right "medicine" for UMNO-it about money,money...

  12. Respected TDM very much for what he had done for the nation when he was the PM,but now the feelings began to vanish slowly after he started attacking Rosmah. As a gentleman he should not done that.It seemed he had been influenced by most his technocrats followers and followed wrong advised, esp the Siruls case,he looked stupid like Mahfuz. And now his distractors are opening the closets of his weaknesses in handling cases like Bank Bumipura Scandal,Forex lost,Bakun Dam Project,Perwaja and I think more to come or crop up.Question how his sons became billionares in a short period arised and even his observation on 1 MDB lost were being question whether it was 42 bil or 14 bil.It looks now his ultimate aim of unseating Najib had no real respon from the real authorities except ALLAH ,esp UMNO members and its Supreme Councils. He should put forward Najibs replacement name but he made a big mistake of not doing so,maybe afraid of not being agreed by UMNO ,and this the reason why until now all quite and slowly dying.Even on the Oppo, they were silent too and I think we know why, after all it was Phua was the whistleblower of 1 MDB.T
