Big Dog joins the fray, so I'm going to the beach

Indeed, more senior bloggers are writing about Johor.

I woke up this morning and the first thing I saw as I switched on this computer was Big Dog's

YTL “Capital Crony”-free in the IPP (Inducted Palace Power) game?

As usual, Big Dog's article is a bit too long, complete with whole articles from newspapers.

The guy sometimes can be quite cryptic.

He went about YTL's Francis Yeoh being an arrogant bastard and all, but I think what he really wants readers to see in his article is this opening paragraph,

TNB disclosed to Bursa Malaysia that the public listed GLC which primary activity is power generation and distribution yet to decide to go with YTL Power-SIPP Energy for the development of Project 4A power plant in Pasir Gudang.

and these paragraphs,

Francis Yeoh should ensure that YTL Power refrain from bidding all these packages of new power plants from EC, since he felt very strongly against “Capital Cronysim” and the policy for Bumiputra preferred concessions and awards by the Federal Government. After all by his own admission, 85% of YTL Power business comes from outside Malaysia where it is more market economy based on “Innovation and use more technology”.

Yet, YTL Power partnered with totally unknown SIPP Energy Sdn. Bhd., which has no track record in power generation, distribution, transmission nor management to bid for this project.

What is more interesting, search with Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia shown that SIPP Energy is own by HRH Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Sultan of Johor (51%) and the other directors (each 24.5%). The director is Dato’ Daing Malik Daing Abdul Rahman, someone who is believed to be closely linked to the palace.

Okay Big Dog, I think we all got it. Thanks.

Well, previously I wrote in Old friends from Johor

"For a change, I would love to see those brave Johorean bloggers who went on a crusade about Lim Kang Ho and KPRJ before GE13 to ensure the departure of former MB Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman, write about the current Johor exploits of Vincent Tan, Francis Yeoh, Peter Lim, the Khaled's boys, Irda bosses etc."

I think I am getting what I am asking now. Hopefully more will come soon.

I am feeling a bit happier today.

Now I need to go out and send my car for service. It's overdue for over 2,000km. No time to do so till now as I was busy these past weeks.

Maybe later in the afternoon, I am going to the beach. I just want to spread a mat under a tree, lie down and read a book.

Everything seems nice again.

Jesus says (in the apocryphic Gospel of Thomas):
    (1) "If those who lead you say to you: ‘Look, the kingdom is in the sky!’
then the birds of the sky will precede you.
    (2) If they say to you: ‘It is in the sea,’ then the fishes will precede you.
    (3) Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and outside of you."
    (4) "When you come to know yourselves, then you will be known,
and you will realize that you are the children of the living Father.
    (5) But if you do not come to know yourselves, then you exist in poverty, and you are poverty."

    1. Jesus' words surely sound like the instruction of a Sufi master. Is there a transmission lineage down to our present times from the apostle Thomas?

  7. Please lah Annie, feel sorry for the school kids, if someone starts to sulk merajuk in that state, the poor kids will have berbaris on the road side under hot sun sambil melambai lambai tangan to the superbike.

Orang Asli and Makcik Felda will also curse you. Dulu setahun sekali tak apa, ini datang lagi pula. They will all say, ini mesti Annie punya kerja. You dont want that, do you?

  8. As long as there are still jobs to do and food to fill the stomach, most rakyat will tolerate this pilferage of the country's wealth, although they might be unhappy and talk about it. Watch out, in Nepal, they are gone. In Thailand, they are feeling the heat.

Al-Israa’ [17] : 21)
