Love is better than hate, always

Must it always be us versus them?

Malays versus Chinese?

After the Chinese tsunami of GE13, I thought it should be that way.

But that's only for a while.

Once the anger subsided, I came to my senses and realised that Malaysia will never survive as it is if we are to be totally racially polarised.

That's why we fought so hard for 1Malaysia before the general election in the first place.

We can't afford to give in to hate.

Somehow I woke up just now with these thoughts  in my head.

Love is always better than hate.

Told myself that.

Found a nice video to go with it,

Honestly, I'm not really sure who is the Chinese and who is the Malay between the bridegroom and bride.

Still, nice song and photos.

I'll be fetching my aunts and cousins from Singapore later today.

My mom and others driving down from KL.

Hope it's not going to be too jammed along the highways.

Kluang, here we come :)

By the way, passed by JB Sentral early this morning about 2am.

Took this picture,

Happy CNY holidays everyone.

    1. Sorry Anon. I don't feel like letting through race hate comments for this one. Don't want to spoil my CNY mood. Thanks for commenting anyway. Try not to hate too much ya.

  2. Deflecting missiles of hate with love. Good one, Annie.

  3. For husbands and wives ....

  4. But some poisonous portly pathetic paranoid psycho loves to shit-stir to split the Malays against the Chinese, and vice versa. Everyday spouting off and lecturing Malays and Muslims on what we should do, react, respond etc, macamlah we cannot think for ourselves. Very patronising. And insulting.
I wonder what sort of life that person has? Whole day consumed with bitterness, anger, dendam etc. Chinese New Year coming also don't have festive spirit ah?
Actually, rather sad as that person doesn't seem to be a happy soul.

By the way, have you seen Rubber Boy ad by Petronas? Very touching.

Me, now munching cookies and keropok my Chinese friend gave before she balik kampong.

So, there's us who look forward cheerfully to life, and those who can only live in the past, grimacing like an obsessed Gollum, every second going "Annie, Annie" instead of "preciousssss."

    Have a great day!!

    1. "...poisonous portly pathetic paranoid psycho"

      Terbaekkkkkk, tuan!

      You are a poet.

  5. Gong Xi Fa Cai, Annie. All the best for the Year of the Monkey.

    Huat, huat, Huat!!!

  6. Thanks Annie, for giving us, your blog readers something nice, positive and uplifting for a change.

You do write from the heart. You can guess what I voted for in your polls.

It's a whole lot better, way much better than reading articles that give you heartburns and heartaches and maybe even heartbreaks. (If anyone wants those three, just go visit the obsessed blogger, the 'ahsovaganza' - look Annie, no names mentioned. But be fore-warned: if you have a weak stomach, do have a barf bag handy, just in case.)

If we Malaysians all stick to the middle-of-the-road politics, where honesty, integrity and responsibility are the treasured core values, the country would not be in such a mess today. (There Annie, I touched on politics a wee bit.)

So Annie, let's have more stuff like this coming this way. Let's focus on things that bind us together, that unite us rather than separate us or create chasms between us.

On a side note, I have two inter-racial, inter-cultural marriages in the family. Makes you look at things from different perspectives.

Have a happy Chinese New Year, everyone. Enjoy the holidays. Go visit your friends and relatives, strenghten the ties. And be safe always.

  7. Happy Chinese New Year

  8. My dear, don't worry too much just stay cool. The world has a way of righting itself. It's the world's way of balancing good and bad. Btw, I am going to Kluang early tomorrow morning.Visited G. Lambak last CNY. Every year i need to drive 1000km from north to south during CNY. No choice lah, just to please my wife before going to visit friends in JB and my sister in S'pore. 9. Really no hate for the Chinese, adinda Ms Annie
who are happily Buddhist T-C, evangelical Christians or ancestor worshipers.

We just hate Star Press, evangelists and DAP for their anti-Syaria taunts. You want what moderate Muslim(?)

    1. Never, never, never grow old in vain. Respect the young, for they are likely to be closer to the fitra than you.

    2. Yeah their poster boys(?) Sdr ANON 19:12
are G-25 geriatrics, pining for their sex-free days of their 70s.

The majority of Muslim youths now are so different from them.

  10. Annie,

The poisonous portly pathetic paranoid post-menopausal psycho just posted something that shows her laughable ignorance of football.

Ironic, because her face looks like one.

  11. I believe ,there is too much hate around then love ,acceptance and tolerance are never well appreciate .

Enjoy your CNY , Annie .
