Proxy war

This coming Azmin-Rafizi fight for PKR number two post should be the most crucial battle to determine Malaysia's post-GE14 leadership.

The way I see it, it's a proxy war between Anwar and Dr Mahathir with the ultimate goal being the position of PM and head of PH.

Anwar's Rafizi, Dr Mahathir's Azmin.

Of course, they said these,

Anwar rubbishes speculation
Dr Mahathir using Azmin to undermine him

Azmin denies there are two factions in PKR

But everyone knows, okay.

Relax la.

It's normal for this sorts of fight in a political party and the ensuing palace intrigues along the corridors of power.

They are all the same.

I wrote this on Jan 9, which is quite a while before Azmin became the obvious favourite of Dr Mahathir after PH's GE14 victory,

PKR's palace intrigues - knives

 out for Azmin

Okay, for this fight I have to admit that I'm siding with Azmin.

The Dr Mahathir-Azmin tag team is better than the Anwar-Rafizi one, which I think is so creepy.

But then again, Azmin will be fighting for his political life.

Rafizi will definitely be backed by Anwar, who is almost certain to be the new PKR president.

It would be quite awkward once Rafizi defeated Azmin as the latter will be without an important party post despite being arguably the second most powerful person in government after Dr Mahathir.

I think once that happened Anwar and his team will start chipping away at Dr Mahathir's base to force him to hand over power as promised within the next two years.

Azmin is actually Dr Mahathir's best hope for his New Malaysia.

Yup, I think he even prefer Azmin than Mukhriz to lead the country.

In fact, I even believe that Dr Mahathir is hoping that Azmin will be there to protect Mukhriz and his whole family once he is no longer in charge.

I don't think he trust that Anwar will continue to play it nice if the guy ever becomes the PM.

After all, Anwar spent seven years in jail because of him.

I doubt that Anwar and his family have ever really forgive Dr Mahathir for inflicting such pain and humiliation on them that many years ago.

Of course, they are keeping it all in, at least until they have the real power to act on it.

This Rafizi-Azmin fight would be the first real step towards that.

Once Azmin is out of the way, Anwar and his camp will solidify power in PKR, which is the PH party with the most number of parliamentary seats.

Then they can have their real march to Putrajaya.

p.s ; I wrote this not long after GE14, maybe you all would like to read it again.

Rafizi being a smart aleck

- stupidity or planned?

      2) On the SRC credit card (hence, money from KWAP): EUR750,000 (RM4.091 million) at an Italian branch of Swiss-owned jewellery store De Grisogono (in one visit) and USD130,635 (RM534,297) at Chanel in Hawaii (in one visit).

      3) From same account, RM167,959.50 spent at Signature Exotic Cars Sdn Bhd on 28th June 2011; RM104,110.69 at Telagamas Motors Sdn Bhd 26th Sept 2012; RM947,178.70 at Angkatan Hebat Motor Sdn Bhd 9th October 2012; RM105,000 at Naza Quest Auto Sdn Bhd 17th December 2012; a staggering RM2,496,000.00 at Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd on 27th February 2013 and another RM146,801.30 and RM155,779.00 also spent at Edaran Tan Chong on 7th February 2014 and 23rd September 2014 respectively.

  3. Speaking of divisions, how long before KJ leaves Umngok for Bersatu?

If Anus Musang is attacking him, he's doing something right:

"The knives are out in Umno and its secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa has made no attempt to cloak the identity of its target: Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin.

Despite there being other Umno members who chose to remain seated in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday — Labuan MP Datuk Rozman Isli and Datuk Seri Anifah Aman — rather than join the mass Opposition walkout, Khairy has been singled out for bashing.

The incident was another sign of the schism within Umno; on the one side, there is president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and the old guards including Annuar, and Khairy the former Youth chief on the other side with his liberal ideas to open up the party to all races before the next general election.

Annuar’s war of words with Khairy is a telling sign, though indirect, that the party leadership does not need him anymore and wants him out. The 42-year-old is probably considered a pain in Umno’s neck now."

Yes, you can bet that KJ's act of defiance was not an accident.

    It was sending a signal.

    Anyway my advice to KJ:

The Umno swimming pool is full of the same corrupt old shit as before, why dirty yourself further bro?

Climb out, take a shower, join Bersatu.

Anus Musang is just sad he can't steal any more MARA money now.

    Just ignore him.

  5. No I understand Rafizi explosive outburst back in May after Mahathir named his first cabinet line-up. PKR has a lot of reasons to be upset about. After all, they hold majority seats in the coalition.

PKR was asked to send 10 names for cabinet consideration but only one sticked. The one that was sticked only Saifuddin Nasution. The ones such as Azmin and Zuraida who weren’t in the list aurprisingly got appointed as ministers. Azmin at that time in fact was already Mentri Besar. Big names such as Wong Chen, Nik Nazmi, Shamsul Iskandar, Fauziah were stunned to be left out.

You can’t really blame PKR to be honest. They had been fair. They already played by the rules but turned out the one being played.

They have a good reason to be worry. Now they’re wondering whether Mahathir would stick to his word of not remaining in the office more than 2 years. The clock is ticking. Someone is extremely anxious to be in the hot seat.

    6. Let me recap WHO IS THE GRAND OLD STATESMAN, TUN MAHATHIR MOHAMED?

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad — a name that needs no introduction to over 30 million Malaysians — will create a national and world history as the oldest prime minister in the world, who is also the first Malaysian to return to office 15 years after retirement.

The nonagenarian is the country’s seventh prime minister, a definitely amazing comeback, after serving as the country’s fourth prime minister for 22 years between 1981-2003.

This time, Dr Mahathir is leading Pakatan Harapan which consists of PKR, DAP, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia and Amanah.

The wave that Dr Mahathir brought onto some 14.97 million registered voters in the country was evident in the thousands who thronged Pakatan Harapan’s election campaigns nationwide in the last 11 days.

It certainly is a momentous moment in his illustrious career that began with him as an elected member of the Dewan Rakyat for Kota Setar in 1957.

He was also first elected to Parliament in 1964 as a member of Umno, the dominant party within the ruling governmental coalition.

In 1976, he became deputy prime minister and in June 1981 was elected president of Umno.

He became prime minister in July that year, the first commoner to hold that office.

As prime minister, Dr Mahathir modernised the country’s economy and built landmark projects, including the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, which at one point, were the world’s tallest buildings.

The national car Proton, the administrative capital of Putrajaya and the Penang Bridge were among the other jaw-dropping projects executed under his tenure.

Cyberspace and even outer space have become realities for Malaysia. Who would have ever thought that the quiet agricultural enclave of Sepang would one day be home to one of the world’s best airports and a Formula One circuit.

During his tenure, the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth Malaysia plans were launched, and light rail transit changed the face of urban transportation.

For almost a decade under his premiership, the economy grew at a dizzying rate of about 9% per year.

Vision 2020 was also launched by Dr Mahathir in 1990 as the New Economic Policy was coming to an end after 20 years.

When he stepped down on Oct 25, 2003, he caught everyone in this country of 21 million by surprise, including his closest political associates, foreign diplomats and even his wife, who seemed to gasp when she heard the words.

Dr Mahathir then chose Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to succeed him as prime minister and Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Razak as his deputy. By 2009, Abdullah stepped down and was replaced by Najib.

Dr Mahathir’s 22-year rule was as transformative, and now that he is back, more could certainly be expected.

In his last hours of campaigning before the election, Dr Mahathir made a rather emotional plea to citizens to vote for a change.

“This time, we are together to replace the government. The government has been there for more than 60 years. It is time it goes,” he said.

The man, who led Malaysia for decades with dagger-sharp rhetoric and increasingly autocratic ways, is 93 this July and in frail health.

However, it does not stop him from allying himself with Opposition figures he once repressed.

To most, he is the man who defined much of Malaysia’s political history.

Now, he is standing before both the country as a whole and the new Opposition allies he once persecuted, asking them to ignore the past.

The embattled fund (1MDB) that allegedly mishandled billions of dollars has been a clear target which Dr Mahathir claims was the main instigator for him forming his own party in 2015.

Without Dr Mahathir, analysts say, the four-party Opposition coalition has no leader who can unify its factions and appeal to rural, ethnically Malay voters, who make up a decisive voting bloc.

    2. Here's a full lyrics of Que sierra sierra......THE FUTURE IS NOT OURS TO SEE...what will be, will be.

"Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)"
      (originally by Doris Day)

When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother, what will I be
Will I be pretty, will I be rich
Here's what she said to me.

      Que Sera, Sera,
      Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
      Que Sera, Sera
      What will be, will be.

When I was young, I fell in love
I asked my sweetheart what lies ahead
Will we have rainbows, day after day
      Here's what my sweetheart said.

      Que Sera, Sera,
      Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
      Que Sera, Sera
      What will be, will be.

Now I have children of my own
They ask their mother, what will I be
Will I be handsome, will I be rich
      I tell them tenderly.

      Que Sera, Sera,
      Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
      Que Sera, Sera
      What will be, will be.

So nobody can say with certainity that Anwar Ibrahim is destined or not destined as the 8th PM of Malaysia.
      Men proposed, god disposed, remember.

    3. Eversince the taking over of the hopeless-corrupted BN govt by Pakatan Harapan led by The Grand Old Statesman, I see new greener pasture on this beautiful blessed land.....

      OH..WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
      They're really…
I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world

  12. Whatever it is,I do believe Mahathir doesn't want Anwar to be the Prime Minister.Mahathir is so desperate to get UMNO people to jump into his bandwagon but so far only a few switch side.
The relationship between Pas and UMNO is getting better and this should give cold feet to the PH people.

  13. Mahathir-Azmin is the only available formula for New Malaysia lah. Anwar mana boleh, ex-Abhim scholar lah, won't know anything about governing country lah, he will take it down islamic path. Rafizi just a loud-mouth with one foot in the mouth. If put in government, will fire anybody he not like, how can?
Pkr playing with numbers only lah, no skill, just talk talk, cannot do lah. I support you, Annie. Anwar-Rafizi 👎 will damage Malaysia, just like they are damaging Pkr now, everyone can see lah.
