What went wrong with Pakatan in Rantau...among others

- Being racist,

The Star translated excerpts of Kulasegaran's speech to English;

Kula mulls legal action after accused of playing race card during ceramah

excerpts 1,

"If not how can I show my face? If this Saturday my own race and community...This is for Streram who is from our own race. We are all of the same race, same blood, so what will happen if we do not support our own race.
"If not what can we do in Cabinet? They will say what la the one contesting is him (Mohamad Hasan) and is from a different race and religion but the Tamils voted for him. Think about it," Kulasegaran said.

excerpts 2,

"How many times I have come to Rantau, here there are many Chinese and Malay restaurants but I don't eat there but I go to an Indian restaurant. This is because this is our own race, so you need to think about what I have said," he said.

- Being arrogant

I don't think Umno people had ever done this even when they were in power.

There goes votes of policemen and their family for Pakatan.

- Being stupid gangster

And that among themselves.

- Being bulu-bulu

They really should have fielded a better candidate.

- Being too much of a hypocrite and dancing too much

Aisey Anwar, at least get la a lady to dance with you....or a better looking guy.

  1. If Kula needed a better argument as to why people should have voted for Dr. Streram, it could have been that with Pakatan in charge of the Negeri Sembilan state government and the federal government, a PH state assemblyman would be better placed to get what the people of Rantau want.

Whilst Tok Mat won as I had expected, and congratulations to him on that, however I foresee him having greater difficulty convincing the PH controlled state assembly and PH controlled federal government to grant his requests for his constituents.

Harap he will fight for us, rakyat marhaen. Kalau boleh, nak mohon sekali lagi status pegangan bebas utk tanah reserve Melayu di JB.

  4. Party workers could forced police petrol car to stop and search their car. Tell me what Malaysian laws or Acts permitted such behaviour?? That was illegal. What kind of power did they have which enable them to do that? What an arrogant and thuggish behaviour.

The police force are empowered by Police Act, penal code and search warrant in carrying out their duty. But this illegal search coming from what laws? Jungle laws?

Annie is right. PH can kiss good bye to police votes, together with their families.

    1. Geng depa ni memang kaki langgar punya orang. Jenis tak makan saman. Bila bilangan sikit tahu pula berkelakuan baik dan behave. Bila dah ramai ‘true colour’ abis semua keluar.

Dulu kat pejabat Kerajaan puak depa ni datang buat demo. Dua bas penuh datang turun. Yang datang ngan kereta pun ramai. Car pooling. Sebiji macam polis trafik. Tempat tu dah jadi macam depa punya. Tahan dan block kereta orang sesuka hati. Bila pihak berkuasa ambil tindakan, mula la ‘play victim’ dan tuduh orang rasis...

  6. Sudahkah Annie....no need to gloat. Tok Mat Hassan sudah menang. Memang patut dia menang kalau nak kekal jadi Presiden umno. Lepas ni he should be more confident on his own merit. No need to depend on Boasskurr, Pencuri Negara.Tok Mat himself is Ok. Dia kaya raya, dah tentu takkan merompak titik peloh kita. So let's be berjiwa besar. Congratulation Tok Mat. Hope now u can concentrate to develop Rantau. The people trust and put great hope on u. As for PH...apa nak dikato.Rezeki takdo...next time, read and see which direction the wind is blowing, baru pilih calon yg sesuai yg boleh memenangi hati pengundi. Ok....finish. Now, kita move to Sandakan - Boleh ke umno sapu lagi....????

  12. Annie,

    Adakah komennya berbentuk rasis?

Dia kata, dia pergi restoran India, tak pergi restoran bangsa lain.

Kita pun tak pergi restoran hindu, bukan kerana kita rasis tapi ada sebab-sebab hukum pemakanan kita.

Saya sebenarnya dulu pernah makan roti canai di restoran India , cuma roti chanai dengan dalca saja. Dalca, sayur saja, tak ada daging. Tapi tak berani makan yang lain disebabkan was-was.

Tapi, kita kenalah adil.

    3. Anon 17.49...Tok Mat takda keyakinan diri. Pru15 dia gelabah, takut kalah. Tu yg buat buat macam-macam hal sampai menang tak bertanding. Prk ni pun dia takut kalah sampai mintak Bosskurr, Perompak Negara bantu kempen. Padahal, semua org dah jangka termasuk Tun M sendiri, dia mesti menang. Inikah bakal Prediden umno.....?????? Jgn ingat semua org sokong Najib. Cuma penagih dedak yg takda harga diri je anggap Ph is over.

Tok Mat ni pemimpin old school. Dulu2 org akan tolak jawatan yg nak diberikan kerana dia rasa dia bukan yg terbaik dikalangan yg baik. Zaman skrg terbalik, org yg jual air liur saja boleh pikir dia ni anugerah tuhan.

  15. My read is that people want a credible opposition - this does not validate the Rakyat wanting UMNO back in power. It however should be a signal to PH not to take the people for granted and they need to pull their socks up. We didn’t vote for UMNO 2.0 and some parts of PH looks a bit like that.

  19. Cik Minah,

    Cik Minah janganlah risau sangat.

  20. Hahaha. So finally you realize outstation people cannot judge local sentiment.

Great for Mat Hassan but not for PH as Umno is definitely making strides in keeping their party alive.
Unless the Malays change their "tongkat" dependant attitude, Umno will still reign.
There is no way of controlling local sentiment when it comes to a "dependant" society.

Tun could have used SOSMA, POTA and a host of other laws still valid to contain Umno altogether but didn't! Why?

You should be addressing those issues rather than a simple by election.

That is the fact. Same as your Sultanate issues which is actually a non issue but blown out of proportion possibly to divert Malaysians from other more critical issues.

There are much much more important issues Annie.

    Take care.

And thanks for the coverage over Rantau.

Perhaps Tun knows that such action it would trigger a backlash especially by the Malays which the Pakatan government would not be able to contain, especially if the military and police are on the UMNO and the Malays' side.

Mao Tse Tung had said that "Political power grows through the barrel of the gun" and in Malaysia, who commands the gun? I hardly can imagine Mat Sabu will if the military and/or police decide to go against the PH government.

    2. In our beloved Malaysia who controls the gun?
      Police, Army, Rela wakaka?
All will lie prostrate in front of the dictators who have been the architects if the social and political structure of Malaysia.
When the politicians masuk longkang so does the reputation of all the departments that are supposed to protect us from the "hounds".
They all can be bought for nickels and dimes by the politicians.

Only the rakyat have the power to remove the corrupt and abusive politicians via the ballot box.

If the rakyat is ignorant enough, serves them right for getting the next politician to main belakang the rakyat again.

Still there is so much ignorance of how a democracy works.

Anyway give PH two terms before deciding whether to throw them out.

Undoing 60+ years of damage cannot be in 100 days nor 1 term.
