Meroyan kalah pilihanraya

*For those who do not know the meaning of meroyan, please ask your Melayu friends.

Okay, I actually read this article in Utusan just now and had a hearty laugh.

Abdul Ghani digesa serah jawatan segera

I never thought an idiot could be so funny.

I know most of you all don't have time to read the entire story at that link. So here are the highlights and a bit of what I think about it,

1. Ketua UMNO Bahagian Batu Pahat, Dr. Mohd. Puad Zarkashi berkata, Abdul Ghani wajar menyerahkan segera jawatan tersebut kepada Mohamed Khaled bagi memudahkan perubahan dalam parti dilakukan dengan segera.

Me: Puad, the former deputy education minister apparently still can't accept  that he lost his BP parliament seat and now out of the Umno's mainstream. Of course he needs to blame someone else for it. Well, looks like he is still sore that the Johor Umno liaison committee headed by Datuk Ghani had advised the Umno HQ to drop him as a candidate followings feedbacks about Puad in Batu Pahat  being very bad. He had however managed to bypass that recommendation by throwing tantrum in KL a day before the BN list of candidates was announced. Puad contested and lost the Batu Pahat parliament seat, which is the only Malay-majority parliamentary constituency that BN lost in Johor.  The other four which BN lost were Chinese majority Bakri, Kluang, Kulai and Gelang Patah. Anyway, I guess Puad just can't shut up and wait for the due process of Johor Umno's power transition by attacking his former mentor (He got his first real break into politics after Datuk Ghani appointed him as his political secretary). Or maybe it's  just that he  wanted to cosy up to the new Johor Menteri Besar in the hope that he could remain relevant after the electoral defeat.

2. "Ini kerana Johor yang dianggap kubu kuat UMNO kini mengalami kemerosotan yang membimbangkan dalam Pilihan Raya Umum Ke-13 (PRU-13) lalu.

Me:  Johor BN is indeed weakened by the Chinese tsunami but Johor Umno is still relatively strong. Umno only lost in Johor where there were infighting among themselves such as in Sungai Abong and Maharani and where a poor candidate was fielded in Batu Pahat despite advise against it by the State liaison committee.

3. "Walaupun Presiden Parti, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak mempunyai prerogatif untuk melakukannya sekarang, tetapi pertukaran jawatan itu akan menjadi mudah jika Abdul Ghani sendiri dengan rela hati menyerahkannya kepada Mohamed Khaled," katanya yang juga Ahli Majlis Tertinggi UMNO kepada Utusan Malaysia hari ini.

Me: Actually, Khaled can have that Johor Umno chief post anytime he wants now. Datuk Ghani is just not the type who cling on to such post. This was confirmed by the PM himself when he told everyone during his visit to Johor just days before GE13 that Ghani had actually wanted to retire and not even want to contest at all during the election. It's just a technical thing about Datuk Ghani being still the Johor Umno chief. However, bear in mind that Umno, being a Malay party have the adab sopan and do things accordingly. Orang Melayu tak terajang keluar ketua keluarga dari rumah bila nak tukar ketua baru. Those who do that are called orang biadap or kurang ajar.  But I guess, someone like Puad doesn't really understand such things.

4.
Mohd. Puad turut melahirkan perasaan kecewa dengan Perhubungan UMNO negeri yang tidak bernakhoda semasa kempen PRU-13 dan tugas tersebut hanya dipikul oleh dua atau tiga 'penasihat'.

Me: I actually know who are the two or three "advisors" Puad was talking about. These are people who sticked with Datuk Ghani through thick and thin unlike Puad who abandoned his post as the MB's political secretary in the 2004 general election because he was not named as a candidate.  Or does Puad want Datuk Ghani to have a  lot more "advisors" and "consultants" like those at the Umno headquarters in KL?. The Johor Umno's  GE13 campaign actually  started in earnest two years ago with Datuk Ghani going to the grassroots level during his several series of lawatan peti undi. Unlike BN MPs such as Puad who only do real work at their constituency  just before the election, Datuk Ghani had done so, much earlier in advance with divisional chiefs being instructed on what to do when the actual campaigning period started.

5. "Contoh terbaik Projek Pembangunan Bersepadu Penapisan Minyak dan Petrokimia (Rapid) di Pengerang, kerana sedikit kelemahan, Johor yang menjadi kubu kuat UMNO selama ini hampir kehilangan majoriti dua pertiga untuk menubuhkan kerajaan negeri," katanya.

Me: Azalina Othman Said and the other Umno candidates in Pengerang won their seats with comfortable majority. The Rapid issue got nothing to do with Johor BN almost losing its two third majority in the State assembly. Well Puad, you should know that the real problems faced by Johor BN in GE13 are actually just the Chinese tsunami and idiotic Umno leaders who refused to accept the fact that they are lousy leaders who have been rejected by the people but do not know when to just shut up.

The forgotten soldiers

I had a conversation last night with someone who was on the BN's side of the GE13 frontline.

He is one of the key people who worked in the back rooms of the Johor BN machinery in the run up to and during the election.

I could sense his extreme frustrations from the tone of his voice and the way he related the unfolding of events in Johor after the GE13.

He didn't even bother to hide his negative feelings about the way the Umno leadership is handling the party's post-election strategy.

"They do not even seem to care about how ordinary Umno members on the ground feel about the party's future direction," he said.

"And of course, people like myself who work our ass off for the party during the election were discarded as if we were worthless once the new Umno people in power take over the running of the show."

I was actually quite alarmed by the way he voiced his displeasure.

This is actually a guy who holds a lot of information related to Umno's strategy in Johor and he could easily turn to the other side and causes serious damage to Umno.

He could easily become another Aspan or Sakmongkol or Mike Tyson, etc.

I told him to be patient and not lose faith in his perjuangan.

"Oh, that you don't have to worry about. I'm not going to sell my soul like those pengkhianat bangsa," he quickly retorted.

"If I really can't stand the way the Umno leadership handles things as at the moment, I will just go away and have a quiet life.

"I just don't want to have anything to do with what they are doing now, which I think is damaging to the Malays' cause.

"But rest assured, I'm not going to sell out on my principle as a Malay Muslim."

I believe there were many others like this guy out there. Loyal Umno members and workers who worked hard for the party but got a raw deal from the party leadership after the election.

I wish the Umno leadership could change their attitude towards these party members and workers.

I think they deserve more credit for their works and contributions then those highly paid consultants and advisers at the Umno war room who failed to even warn DS Najib Razak about the severity of the then oncoming Chinese tsunami of GE13.

Back to the guy again, he is actually now out of work.

I had met him as he had requested my advise on how to downgrade his CV without lying about his qualifications.

He is actually too overqualified for the job he is applying which is a cashier at a hypermarket.

Yes, he was that desperate for the job.

And no, I'm not telling you all what is his qualification, because if I do that, you all will not believe it anyway.

Malays who will cause Malays extinction

If the current political climate continues, I think the Malays will probably be extinct soon and those responsible for turning that race into just a museum exhibit will be they themselves.

So, before I go to sleep tonight, let me reflects on what I think could be the 10 types of Malays who will cause the demise of their race in not too distant future.

1. Selfish Malay leaders who only care about their own personal interests.

2. Stupid Malays who blindly follow their selfish leaders who actually only care about their own personal interests.

3. Power crazed stupid Malay allies of the Democratic Action Party.

4. Shallow Malays who hate themselves for being Malays.

5. Shallow self-hating Malays who want to be Arabs, Mat Salleh or of any other race.

6. Crooked Malays who were groomed to be big time corporate leaders but instead turned into big time conmen.

7. Intellectually stunted Malays who think they are already very smart and that their race is already on par with other races after they graduated from places such as UiTM, UPSI etc.

8. Pathetic Malay men who think too much about sex and watch too much porn.

9. Supremely pathetic Malay men who think too much about having sex with other men and watch too much porn.

10. Malays who read Harian Metro and nothing else.

Do note that lazy Malays are not in my list. I have my theory for that but I will write about it some other day.

Okay, good night.

Gently weeps by the window

It is Sunday and my last day of recuperation.

Opened the window of the room and lay down on this bed.

A gentle breeze causes the bamboo trees just outside the window to sway gracefully.

It's so peaceful where I am now.

Can't get such fresh feeling in KL...or JB.

I actually prefer living in this quiet place rather than KL and JB.

But, I had nonetheless spend more the last half a decade between those two cities because that's where my life is supposed to be.

Well, never mind. That is too personal a story for me to tell here.

Anyway, I'm taking it easy today and even typing this posting using just one finger.

Tomorrow, I'm going back to the grind.

Honestly, I'm not sure whether I still have a job after tomorrow.

I'm now seeing things differently after GE13 and this may affect my works.

Things such as the general attitude of the Chinese community, continuing Pakatan's electoral fraud nonsense, the almost dead moderate kongsi concept, Umno's indifference, Malays' general ignorance and their politicians' habitual  fratricide, etc.

Let's say, with all those stuff, I'm harder hearted now.

Well, never mind, I know that life has got to go on, but for now I just want to close my eyes and listen to George Harrison....

Brainwash the Chinese, dupe the Malays

It was concluded that less than 10 per cent of Chinese in this country supported BN in GE13.

Among this less then 10 per cent is Chuah Bee Kim, a Johor Baru-based journalist.

I concluded that, based on her reports and blog postings during the election.

Here is one of her article which I reproduced in this blog,
Chuah Bee Kim writes about Ghani

What makes Miss Chuah's support for BN unique was that she is a totally an apolitical person. I conclude that based on what I read in her blog prior to the campaigning period of GE13.

I believe that she decided to support BN because she saw the good things done by BN and in particular the good self of the former Johor Menteri Besar.

When it turned out that the overwhelming majority of Chinese voters turned their back at BN, Miss Chuah had written in her blog that there are still others like her who appreciate the moderate ways propagated by BN which had enabled the country to progress over the past half century.

One of her recent postings which caught my attention was an article about a unique Chinese family,
Life as a Chinese Muslim convert

However, among the comments received at that posting was this sarcastic remark from one whom I believe is a DAP cybertrooper,
What a nice story and I wish their family well. Maybe you could follow up this story with the story of a family that coverts to another faith from Islam. The tolerance that society shows them as they take away their children and lock them up indefinitely and even threaten them with the death penalty unless they come back to their senses. Or maybe a story of how a grieving family has the body of their loved relative taken from them for an Islamic burial where they were unaware that they had converted. Yes, Islam in Malaysia is all about tolerance and respect for other races and faiths.

I concluded that it was a comment by a DAP cybertrooper because I had received similar ones which condemned my mother who is also a Muslim convert,

R u muslim ? How do u think chinese feeling while being treated as 2nd citizen since born in here. . If social contract is de facto fair and impartial . It will not cause Chinese rebellion to against UMNO -BN . Secondly thing is , Malay historic facts are doubtful .Could u tell me , the historical time-line (Tamadun) in this land .Tanah Melayu never constituted before British colonial .In the meantime, Malay must appreciate us on the other hand , because of China , Malay -Melaka -sultane is safe from Siam . If not , Malay will be so cocky nowadays. .. Annie , ur mum is religious traitor ,her soul will burn in hell .
Fuck u mum asshole .. convert to most evil religion . u son of bitch ..

Miss Chuah is a Chinese and devout Buddhist. She made that clear in her blog postings. That was what made her writings about the goodness of the Chinese Muslim family a big offense among the DAP people such as that commenter.

For them the Chinese must not be portrayed as sharing any genuine similarity with the Malays, especially in faith and be happy about it.

For the DAP, the Chinese must be perpetually convinced that they were being prosecuted by the Malay Muslim majority and that they are suffering hardship all these while because of policies of the Malay-led BN government.

That was what had been drummed up by DAP cybertroopers over the past five years leading to GE13. It was a successful campaign by them resulting in the overwhelming support of the Chinese community for their party.

And this tactic of brainwashing the Chinese community will continue as it's the only way the DAP could maintain their new found grip of influence over the Chinese community.

The other issues brought about by DAP and its allies were actually just to obscure this most insidious tactic of racial incitement by them.

As for the overtures made by the DAP to their Malay muslim allies, those were in reality merely window dressings.

They know of the Malays' weakness for any token gestures such as this

Seriously, do you all think those makcik-makcik and adik-adik posing with the tudung clad Hannah Yeoh for the picture really think that she is mendekati Islam?

The answer is actually YES.

They really believe that Hannah the evangelist will indeed one day embrace Islam and be one of them simply because she wear baju kurung and tudung for the occasion.

If they are voters in Subang Jaya, they would had indeed voted for her.

It's the same thing which made Pas spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat declared that Lim Guan Eng being akin to Khalifah Umar Abdul Aziz.

It's also the same thing that happened to the Singaporean Malays here,

A simple act of wearing a songkok is sometime enough to fool them.

Yes, Malays can be that gullible.

A lot of them nowadays genuinely believe that DAP and its allies really care for them as Malays and Muslims.

Unfortunately, they will only realize their gullibility when it is too late for them to do anything about it.

Till then, the story of brainwashing the Chinese and duping the Malays continues.

Looking for inspiration

I'm feeling better today, but still resting and doing nothing.

Just hanging around the house and at the moment watching a boring Spain versus Russia football match at Astro while writing this posting.

Honestly, I don't really feel like writing about politics.

The business as usual attitude of Umno leaders after the GE13 so far is troubling me.

I think I better not write more about it until I have regained my strength. Otherwise I will just get sick again.

I noticed that several of my blogger friends have also quit writing for now, probably fed-up with the way things were at the moment.

Can't blame them. It's hard to be inspired by the noises made by Umno leaders of late.

Well, you all can tell me if there were any inspiring statement coming from Umno leaders after GE13 which I may probably missed?

Okay, there are some bloggers who were asking to be paid to be inspired again. Fine, that's up for them to demand.

But I think that is also the reason why BN lose the cyberwar campaign of GE13. It looks like post 2008 all over again.

Eh, at this point I'm feeling depressed.

I think I better write something frivolous but fun instead....

Well....

There was once when I dyed my hair red and looked something like this,

I did that after watching this video of Shakira when she was still young and fresh,

That was fun.

Anyway, who do you all think is the best candidate to be a future Prime Minister among these three Umno vice-presidents, Hishammuddin, Zahid or Shafie?

Or maybe, how about Khairy?

Now, how's that for inspiration?

:-)

Challenges of Umno president

I read somewhere this afternoon that the Seremban Umno division had proposed for the party's president and deputy president posts not to be contested in the party election later this year.

Well, I'm not against DS Najib Razak to continue as Umno president and prime minister.

It's just that I remember cheering for him when he announced at the first Umno general assembly after he took over as party president about five years ago that he didn't wish not to be challenged or hold any advantage if there is to be a contest for his post.

It was just after he said that Umno will be as democratic as possible with the introduction of a new voting system for the party election which was to be anchored at the grassroots level.

Yes, I remember cheering and sending a congratulatory text message to one of Datuk Najib's close aide when he said all that.

Of course, my opinion on the matter doesn't count for much as I'm not an Umno member.

It's for Umno members to decide on that one.

However, my inconsequential personal opinion is that, the door to challenge for the Umno president post should always be opened.

Umno should never be like the DAP. The democratic part of the Democratic Action Party is as democratic as North Korea. They can even tweak the result of their CEC election which in itself is not democratic at all.

I very much wished for Datuk Najib to instead do something very profound such as laying down a comprehensive plan to unite the Malays, and Umno members unanimously supporting him for it.

No one is then to challenge Datuk Najib as he has convinced everyone that the Umno's main agenda over the next five years is to unite the Malays under its wing.

The comprehensive unity plan should include the cleaning up of Umno itself so that the Malays could once again want to be with it in securing their future.

That would be ideal, isn't it?

Umno will then remain democratic but stay united behind Datuk Najib.

Wouldn't that be great for the Malays of this country?

But of course, having said all that, I still wish for Datuk Najib to sack all those useless people who advised him prior to GE13, especially those at the Umno's war room.

He should get competent new people with no vested interests to replace those crooked clowns.

I'm still hoping for Datuk Najib to do that.

Okay, enough of my political ramblings for the night.

It's raining here where I am.

I need to lay down again.

The mild pain deep in the middle of my chest is still there. I think I need to see the doctors again.

Suddenly I miss my mother very much....
