Dong Zong wins....DAP too

As I previously wrote, the Chinese educationists are indeed

Dr Mahathir's unbeaten opponents

This is the final Cabinet's decision

No khat, Jawi in national-type

schools only if PTA agree

Yup, they defeated Dr Mahathir again.

The handsome old man, as I also pointed previously, never came out looking good after a fight with the Dong Zong gang.

And now we also know who is the real boss in Pakatan Harapan.

DAP leaders can now once again be the Chinese heroes.

Well, good for them.

As for Pribumi Bersatu, all their talks about being the defenders of everything Malay and Islamic in Pakatan Harapan were just talks.

Okay, some Malays may think otherwise, but they are definitely not the majority.

Anyway, I told you all that I was with the Dong Zong gang on this - the khat thing was stupid in the first place.

So unnecessary.

For another point of view about the whole nonsense, read this

MCA leader dismisses khat flare-up as Mahathir’s ploy

excerpts;

“Basically, we are going back to the same 2Rs of race and religion to capture the voters’ imagination,” he said, adding that PH is aware that they need as much support as they can from the Malays in order to retain power.
“PH knows that without winning over the Malay votes from PAS and Umno, they will lose the government and the next GE15 results will not be in their favour. Thus, their seats in Putrajaya are as good as gone,” he opined.
Ti said Dr Mahathir’s recent attack against Dong Zong is the same strategy he employed after the general election in 1999 when “he lost the Malay popular support.”
For me, if that's the ploy, then it has backfired on Dr Mahathir quite badly.

Whatever it is, I still think DAP will get everyone in Pakatan to push Dr Mahathir out of the PM office by May next year and replace him with Anwar.

They can't afford Dr Mahathir pulling another stunt like the khat issue which could damage their absolute monopoly of the Chinese votes.

I believe that they rather not have any Malay vote at all as long as they can keep their support base intact.

Because they were too scared to sit for final exams. Kah kah kah...never thought i would see that again. Steady la jibby, You da man, what a douchebag!!!

  2. Dr M may have lost the battle, but he may come out winning the war.

Anyway, it was a strategic retreat.

  3. Aisay Annie....why are you using the language of war to pen this article. You are definitely a shit stirrer par excellence. The issue is nothing to do about who is more powerful or who controls the show. It is just about what is good or relevant for our students to master so that they can contribute to society in this fast changing world. Khat is definitely not the way to go and Dong Zong made that very clear. Now it is no longer Khat but jawi, and it is now compulsory in SK schools. Annie you tell me if learning jawi is a progressive step?

    2. Siapa kerajaan?

  7. Ohh you must have some inside information...

Mahathir is trying his best to cobble together an alternate coalition but one that he will get will be as troublesome as the one he has. So he is stuck and unfortunately fighting a losing battle.

The time and the world have moved ahead of Mahathir and I think the old Melayu bastard has discovered that you don't get to decide everything just because you are fucking Melayu.

The Indian preacher and the 3rd national car? Mahathir is simple asking to be slapped in the face and if he gets kicked out he fucking deserves it.

  9. Annie, You are wrong. Dong Zong and DAP may have won the battle but they will surely loose the war. Due to this issue the Malays generally do not trust the DAP and to them it is now confirm that the DAP now is the real power.Even Lim Kit Siang is now worrid that PH will be a one term government especially after Tun M exit from power.

  11. Mahathir may have lost the battle, but not the war. Which may have been his plan all along. Dong Zhong is no longer as untouchable as they were say 10-15 years ago. Now we can even see non-malays label Dong Zhong racist and the Chinese version of ISMA and Perkasa. The idea has been planted and will grow with time.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Dong Zhong did not win. They are the last line of defence of the Chinese race in the perceived attempt to Islamise Chinese. What do you expect them to do?

But we all know that this Khat thing was political shit stirring. I'm sure most Malays won't even think of asking Chinese to learn Khat. After all, Malays learn Jawi because they got to read the Koran.

Still, rather than quarrelling and taking one-up pot shots at each other, why not talk constructively? Let Annie's blog be Annie's cafe where people can drop in for some coffee and a friendly chat?

I can say with confidence that I am on friendly to very friendly terms with 99% of the Malays I know.

Let me tell you what I think of what Asri the Perlis Mufti said about Malays should be Malaysia's dominant race: I agree with him! Why? Because Malays make up 65% of the population.

Infact, I always encourage the Malays I know to develop their economic status by doing well in whatever occupation they are in, and there are easily 10-20 who are grateful that I helped them without condition

Today I'm glad a Uitm grad I know, without a proper job for some 2 years, has successfully set up a food stall in a Chinese part of the town. His business has been running for 2-3 weeks, and now needs 4 helpers. His profit is about RM200 a day.

  13. Kita pon thu kan belajar Jawi ni mesti ditolak awal selain pencadang.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Being the dominant race in Malaysia, the Malays are politically secure.

So what they must concentrate on is the improvement of their economic situations through knowledge, work and innovation - not affirmation action quotas.

It's only when one is able to face the world's challenges, that one develops real confidence. So far, such confidence, while common place amongst Malays worlwide, are not common in Malaysia.

My suggestion is Malays here do not rely on politics for their economic future.

    Instead, rely on oneself!
