Who cares about the Malay language and Najib chit chatting with Chinese ladies

In my last post, I asked for my friend Gondrong to write something more current rather than just ranting. So last night , he came up with this,

By Si Gondrong

Bahasa Melayu dicabar lagi.

Satu persatu bahasa Melayu diuji.

Tapi tak lah bermakna sampai mahu mencabul bahasa kebangsaan kita iaitu bahasa Melayu.

Isu bahasa bukan isu politik.

Better a bit.

At least it's current.

Well, Gondrong is a very Malay guy.

He cares very much about these sort of stuff.

Me, I don't really care about such things.

I believe I can still survive if the Malays and their language become extinct.

I don't mind speaking Eskimo.

As it is, whether Malays and their language survive is up to Malays themselves.

If they can't even keep their shit together, then they don't deserve to have their language and culture around.

It's as simple as that.

Just live the Mat Salleh style lah. More class what. Speaks broken English also never mind.

Anyway, being Malay is associated with being very negative these days.

So backward. So corrupted. So Umno.

By the way, how come Najib is still so free walking around?

He doesn't seemed scared people are going to beat him up for being a thief and such as he was accused.

This is him having a chit chat with two Chinese ladies in front of Affin Bank in Wangsa Maju yesterday morning.

The lady wearing helmet was not holding him so that he can't run away while the lady in red was not trying to call the police to arrest him.

Really, they were just having a chit Bahasa Melayu, I think.

You can read the story here;

OKU Menangis Bila Nampak Wajah Najib

Well, that's what they wrote....don't know lah.

I think this was around the time Rosmah was being grilled at the MACC headquarters for 13 hours.

They better charge and find her guilty with something.

Otherwise a lot of people are not going to be very happy.

  1. Seems Najib was having some much needed "me time" since Rosmah was spending the whole day at MACC. He looks much happier but might just be a coincidence.

    1. Of course happy.

He is still President of Umno.

Zahid Hamidi may as well be a cardboard cut-out.

      This is Tun's comment:

"NEW YORK: Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has predicted that Umno will collapse, saying that there is no future for the party.

“Umno is fragmented now, it is going to collapse. There is no future for Umno anymore because the people detest Umno.

"That is why they supported the opposition so strongly (in the recent general election),” the Pakatan Harapan chairman said.

Dr Mahathir made this remark in response to a question during a meeting with the US Council on Foreign Relations on whether a long-term investigation of Umno leaders would, at some point, create political instability in the country.

Asked how deep he felt corruption ran in Umno, Dr Mahathir replied that it ran very deep.

“He (former Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak) has undermined the leadership of the party and even the rank and file because he gave them money.

“So they supported him because some of them felt comfortable with more money,” Dr Mahathir said."

      He is right.

You think Tok Pa and Anifah are stupid?

They can clearly see what will happen to Umno.

      Completely without direction.

      The old crooks in charge.

      Worst of all...

Najib Razak is still President of Umno.

  2. I studied Jawi in Johor Baru. That's a significant fact. Because the city is in the state where Annie was born. (sigh).

I was once also on one of the DBP istilah committees. If today you use some of the terms from that istilah, my treat.

Back to the perspective. Si Gondrong has a point. Our Malay language is a beautiful language and its use should be preserved.

But the world has moved on. And the key challenge is poverty eradication subset of global relevance. The ground has also shifted. Our millennial generation are a practical-minded lot. Make money, accumulate assets, travel around the world, open eyes and mind, and get real.

You can't do any of these using the Malay language. In a world of seven billion, it has limited usage and, more importantly, negligible usability where know-how and do-what count.

Just ask any local job interviewer what are the key factors of appointing someone. And if you want a c-suite perspective:

Earlier i have given you a link to a free database of millions of useful articles; few are in our Malay language. And none you will find in the other fire-walled databases containing cutting-edge stuff used to move commerce and industry, accelerate skills and innovate new products and services; you know, the sort of things we need the most to claw out of this financial black-hole.

And if we say the Germans, French, Japanese, Korean and even Chinese have progressed using their own languages so why not us, we must remember they were exposed to scientific and technical development for decades whereas we are only exposed, and that only recently, to yellow diamonds and crocodile-skin handbags, moreover both of foreign origin. will preserving our national language lift our poor especially our Malays out of their poverty trap in today's rapid-fire world of constant competition to remain relevant to global value-adding and thus industrialization and commercial trading when just trying to coin a single Malay language technical term for use in a specific segment of a general industry had taken months of rationalization?

One must realize to the core that we don't have a know-how engine embedded in our communities. Do we therefore have the luxury of time and sentimental frippery to dwell on the need to prioritise a language when there is so much else to do using other more relevant media, an existential situation which has been left fallow for over fifty years of forgettable existence because idiots only want to wax about politics in order to influence the Si Gondrong's away from realizing they are merely politicizing but for MONEY politics...and mostly for themselves?

Some may crawl out from under the rocks to say if we don't prioritize the language, the tsunami of change will erode it until future generations won't be able to use it and then our national identity retro-ed from our forefathers of this land will evaporate forever and ever (and "yes, i do").

Well, excuse me. What is our national identity today if we can't even improve a simple thing like spicing up the backdrops for photo-taking of starry-eyed couples in marriage registration offices? Funeral parlors look more ornate and appropriate.

Let us here and now banish the ad-hominoids a-comin'. If a language is any good and relevant, it will come back on its own soon enough. Like a good broken cuppa in those old coffee-shops with broken furniture mintly branded with new story-lines of yonder days of lore.

And if it doesn't, who is anyone to decide on behalf of the millions who need to survive in order to later be able to appreciate it to want it back?

    1. " will preserving our national language lift our poor especially our Malays out of their poverty trap in today's rapid-fire world of constant competition to remain relevant to global value-adding and thus industrialization and commercial trading when just trying to coin a single Malay language technical term for use in a specific segment of a general industry had taken months of rationalization?"

      Excellent point.

      Practicality vs. Sentiment.

All the Umno & PAS leaders use iPhones, I'm sure.

Created by the evil Yahudi-loving neo-colonial Americans.

But my objective: make phone calls etc etc.

So what if the "tool" is from USA, Korea, Japan? (Don't use China phones, lah. Terrible quality.)

If I need to advance a country, and I need to use English, German, Japanese language or whatever, then so be it.

Unless our Language Heroes are willing to work 7,000 times harder, all new technical knowledge will be in English, German, Japanese, etc.

And the world will move on and leave Malaysia behind.

  3. "Anyway, being Malay is associated with being very negative these days. So backward. So corrupted. So Umno. Whatever."

    Hee hee hee.

    Poor, poor Annie.

You Umno bloggers are just like Umno.

No new ideas, no new tactics.

I actually pity you a lot.

Still selling the same outdated bullshit of Umno = Malays = Umno.

It’s so important to be accurate, right?

Let me write it again for accuracy:

"Anyway, being Umno is associated with being very negative these days. So backward. So corrupted. So Umno. Whatever."

    See the difference?

By the way, you want to explain to your dear readers while Azeez Baling is wearing the orange uniform?

It’s because he used Tabung Haji funds to bail out 1MDB via a shell company called Putra Perdana. The money went into the account of a certain Najib Razak.

    How surprising : )

    1. Aiiya u seems to know nothing amoiyaa
      Bahasa jiwa bangsa lorrr
Malaysian chinese no shame one haha
Want to live in the malay land but dont want to speak the language..aiyaa manyak bodo..the thai and indonesian chinese have advance a lot lorrr..
Bodo murakab..dh bodo lau mau tunjuk

    2. Very narrow minded. One siders. Open your eyes and look around

  4. “OKU Menangis Bila Nampak Wajah Najib” Well, that's what they wrote....don't know lah.”

I love reading your blog Annie.

    It’s always hilarious.

Actually, I once saw an autistic dead dog come back to life just because Pokjib walked past.

Then it also started crying tears of joy and gratitude.

Anyway, I think you Umno bloggers need to decide how long you want to carry the pinklips pirate’s balls.

Even Umno leaders - some of them - know that this strategy is doomed to fail.

    They are right.

I suspect Annie is actually an undercover PH blogger, because the more she pretends to defend Umno, the more people hate them.

    Very cunning, Annie!

    1. "an autistic dog"...never seen one. I only know about people with autism. They are blessed people, assured of jannah. But I believe if there are indeed dogs with autism, they are blessed by Allah too.

    2. Well, if the poor dog caught sight of pokjib's other half (the Birkin bitchwitch) it would be scared to death again.

  5. And now they are picking on poor Kak Ros!

    It's so unfair!!!!!

After all, what is forensic evidence?

    1) Transactions from Prime Minister Najib’s AmBank account 211202211906 reveal that one of the beneficiaries of this money, which came from 1MDB subsidiary SRC International, was his son. On 4th July 2014 RM200,000 was cashed out to Nor Ashman Razak.

    2) On the SRC credit card (hence, money from KWAP): EUR750,000 (RM4.091 million) at an Italian branch of Swiss-owned jewellery store De Grisogono (in one visit) and USD130,635 (RM534,297) at Chanel in Hawaii (in one visit).

    3) From same account, RM167,959.50 spent at Signature Exotic Cars Sdn Bhd on 28th June 2011; RM104,110.69 at Telagamas Motors Sdn Bhd 26th Sept 2012; RM947,178.70 at Angkatan Hebat Motor Sdn Bhd 9th October 2012; RM105,000 at Naza Quest Auto Sdn Bhd 17th December 2012; a staggering RM2,496,000.00 at Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd on 27th February 2013 and another RM146,801.30 and RM155,779.00 also spent at Edaran Tan Chong on 7th February 2014 and 23rd September 2014 respectively.

    Takpe lah Annie.

You should wear one of these:

And run to the MACC HQ to save the First Klepet.

Ahhhhhhh, but you have no actual proof.

    Forensic evidence wins : )

You mean you were ever in any doubt about that???

Or "Annie" doubt - heh heh......

She is sooooooooooo neutral until not neutral any more.....

    2. Tahniah annie
      Love kak ros..hmmm

  8. Just give it up lah Annie. Ameno, Pokjib, Badak cannot be saved. It's the end of an era...a very corrupt era.

    1. This is the beginning of the second saga of the most corrupt era..its raly showing..take a harder look..hehe

"PETALING JAYA: Datuk Mohd Nageeb Abdul Wahab has been appointed Felcra Bhd chairman, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) announced.

He replaces Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin who resigned on June 1.

According to the statement, Mohd Nageeb has 39 years of experience in the agriculture, rubber, and palm oil industry, where he started his career as an agriculture executive trainee in KL Kepong Bhd in 1979.

He was previously Sime Darby Plantation Sdn Bhd vice-president.

Mohd Nageed is currently Malaysian Palm Oil Association (MPOA) chief executive officer and the Malaysian representative to the International Tripartite Rubber Council (ITRC)."

This is very bad news for Annie.

The evil PH gomen is kicking out all the corrupt cronies and installing people with good qualifications and background in places like MARA and FELCA.

    Annie tak suka.

She wants Annuar Musa to replace that new MARA chairwoman who has a PhD from Oxford.

She wants Bung Moktar Radin to stay in charge of FELCRA.

    Bung very hensum, what.

Even female orangutans cannot resist his orangutan face.

Fuiyohhhh! Sexy ape indeed, Si Bung. And he’s so smart and well-mannered too!

Annie also wants Isa Samad back at FELDA.

Most of all, Annie wants Jibby al-Songlap back as Chairman of 1MDB.

That is because Annie is worried the Malays won’t get cheated and stolen from any more.

Annie wants the Malays to get cheated and stolen from.

Remember, MARA, FELDA, FELCRA, Tabung Haji are actually the personal cash of Umgnok leaders.

They are free to take as much as they want.

    1. Whatever....just try not to be such an asshole all the time, ok.

    2. Hee hee hee, chill lah Annie ; )

      We make a deal, OK?

Once in a while, you actually write something that points out how badly BN ripped off the people, and I will be less of an asshole.

Also, it will help to balance you back to "neutral", see?

(As it is, some readers are expressing doubt : )

More seriously, the rakyat will never truly forgive BN unless they let go of Denial Syndrome.

Say sorry, admit the massive corruption, and tell Malaysians how you will change in the future.

      However, are they doing that?

      It doesn't seem so.

    3. Annie the real assholes are all around. Head to Facebook.look at the citizens voice group. There you will find assholes. Especially a fat fat one called Azizi.

    4. Does Annie have a blind spot in her character evaluations? Stemming from an inadequate self knowledge?

    1. Joking ke? Are all english words pronouced the way it is spelt? And try to spell a french or ittalian word based on how it sound - hermes anyone?

Why must we sound like Indonesian? It is good enough we understand each other, even then, some words mean totally different in the 2 languages.

  11. what comes around go around lh annie. what happen to najib could happen to mahathir, anwar, guan eng etc.. hari ini hari kamu, esok lusa hari saya pulak..

  13. The 2 women were heard asking Najib "APA LAGI CINA MAU?"

  15. "A RELIGIOUS teacher and founder of a charitable home in Kuala Lumpur, Zahari Alwi, was jailed for 15 months on two counts of outraging the modesty of a 10-year-old child placed under his care, and for possessing pornographic material, according to the Malay-language Harian Metro daily.

Zahari, 56, pleaded guilty to attacking the victim while the young girl was taking a shower and to owning the porn. He had earlier pleaded not guilty when he was charged in February."

The monkey didn't understand the word "NO" because he only understands BM.

    Come, I clap for you.

  16. "Hormatlah bahasa Melayu."
Why don't you respect the minorities' languages? It works both ways la.
    This is not Nazi Germany.

Melayu are only 65% of the population, there exist the other 35%. Are the minorities irrelevant? Want to wave your rusted keris again? So that the other communities will bend their knees out of fear for their safety and their family? Why kind of fooking animals are you?

The arrogance of Melayu is the reason why BM will NEVER be a unifying mechanism for this country.

Until the Melayu stop claiming this country is EXCLUSIVELY theirs, and the rest of us are ALLOWED to stay on the basis of their charity and benevolence, we will never achieve unity. (So what if you came first??)

So, you can take your monkey language and shove it up where the sun doesn't shine.

  17. Si Gondrong,

I have said it before, I speak the language which makes me money and that language is English.

I make no money speaking Malay or mastering Malay.

As long as I have enough Malay to read some simple news articles, ask some questions in the pasar pagi, ordering my roti canai, amuse a pretty Malay girl or two, etc, that should be enough, shouldn't it?

I don't think I am any less patriotic because I choose the English language to make my living.

I am no parasite living off the sweat of other Malaysians.

    I pay my taxes.

I don't go around creating hate and anger among the different races and religions.

I try to contribute to my kampung every opportunity I can.

So, as far as I am concerned, my conscience is clear.

Is there something more I need to do besides speak flawless Bahasa Melayu?

  18. Annie,

    //Well, Gondrong is a very Malay guy//

    Yeah, it shows.

No difference from those on the Chinese side or the Indian side :)

//If they can't even keep their shit together, then they don't deserve to have their language and culture around.//

I am not very what you mean by "keep their shit together".

I hope you don't mean for the Malays to stay where they are with their language and culture, or worse still regress back to ancient times!!

I believe that all languages and cultures need change with the times.

I also believe that a language or a culture which does not keep up with the times WILL go extinct.

//being Malay is associated with being very negative these days.//

As you pointed out - it's only the Malays who are associated with UMNO :)

    You forgot PAS :)

BUT it is hip to be a Malay associated with PPBM, PKR, Amanah or Warisan :)

//how come Najib is still so free walking around?//

Well, you kinda of answered it yourself...

//I think this was around the time Rosmah was being grilled at the MACC headquarters for 13 hours//

Too much of a coincidence, don't you think? Rosmah not home, Najib walking around? :)

As for people beating him up, I don't think that is going to happen because I am pretty sure Najib has bodyguards.

Those bodyguards may not be in the picture above but I am sure they are there.

And those bodyguards will be armed.

  19. Najib to face more charges, Deputy IGP says.
    Any comment Si Gondrong ?

    1. Anon 23:20

      Professor Nasi Lemak

    2. Dont focus on individual. DSN, TM, DSAI, LGE, LKS, TSMY. They all are individual. Lot of self interest in their family, political party, etc and etc. Look at bigger picture. Bangsa Melayu his indentity. Malay language, sistem demokrasi raja berperlembagaan are bigger picture. All this element including the mutual understanding among races form a strong foundation for our nation building.

  20. Annie,

Mungkin Si Gondrong in orang kampong.

Pendek cerita, Sains, Matematik pun penting, bukan Bahasa Melayu aja.
