Paradise, a bulan puasa daydreaming

Puasa month.

They said if we are extra good this month, we have better chance to live in paradise in the afterlife.

Of course, we need to be good too in the other months.

You can't be a saint for a month but an asshole the rest of the year and expect to go to paradise, okay.

Whatever it is, I believe that Allah knows who are the really good ones and who are the hypocrites, pretending to be good, but actually bad people.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Among the signs of a hypocrite are three, even if he fasts and prays and claims to be a Muslim: when he speaks he lies, when he gives a promise he breaks it, and when he is trusted he betrays.

Well, I'm not going to go more into that. Too heavy to write with an empty stomach. Anyway, I think you all know now, who are the ones who lied, broke their promises and betrayed the rakyat's trust.

Honestly, I'm actually doing this post because I saw this video, which made me think that if I do good with my life, maybe Allah will let me live in paradise after I die. In that case, I wish life in paradise could be like in the video....

Yup, that's how I imagine life should be in paradise. Nice, right.

Not like what others used to tell me, about the paradise being a place with palaces and people living like kings and queens.

That's stupid la. Only fools want to live in a place like that. Just imagining that already makes me stressful.

For me, paradise is living a peaceful life and doing happy things for eternity....like in that video.

I know, I know....but occasional daydreaming is nice :)

  1. Paradise/heaven...guys get 72 virgins, wonder what the ladies get...72 dicks? Anyway when we die only our souls are up there so how to "boom boom" when we do not have that thing. Annie your thoughts.

    1. I prefer paradise to have no men. Men are bastards...especially those who crave for 72 virgins.

    2. Bila dah mati, apa ada guna 72 virgin lagi ? Ha ha ha ha. Ustad biol cannot ever convince me.

Anyway I would go with Annie's idea of paradise. On earth that is.

  2. Annie,

Lying is not ok, can go to hell.

    How about thievery?

Is stealing from the rakyat can go to heaven?

Some say that lying can go to hell, but stealing there is nothing to be embarrassed about.

Lying also not very clear. According to PAS, under certain condition, lying is ok

Lying a little for a greater good.

If you refer to P.Ramlee film, Madu Tiga. The main protagonist lied a bit for a greater good. The popular malay term "bohong sunat".

In the film, the actor married total of three wives and lied to all of them. It is for a greater good for be able to have three wives. In the end, everyone is happy.

In conclusion, in Malaysia, the moral compass is a bit blurred.

It is like compass of the film Pirate of the Caribbean. Captain Jack Sparow, compass do not show "North" like any other compass but show the direction to the best of his interest.

      (Surah Al-Baqarah: 217)

  3. Nasi Lemak,

According to Islam, stealing is haram and forbidden.

    According to hadith Al-Bukhari,

"Do you intercede concerning one of the Hadd set by Allah? Those who came before you were destroyed because if a rich man among them stole, they would let him off, but if a lowly person stole, they would carry out the punishment on him. By Allah, if Faatimah Bint (daughter of) Muhammad were to steal, I would cut off her hand.” [Al-Bukhari]

So stealing is not allowed and forbidden in Islam.

In Islam, just because someone is rich and powerful, it did not grant him/her freedom to steal from the poor.

Some people is under the perception that lying is highly forbidden while stealing is of a minor sin.

This is really mess up, especially if the orphanage money was used for personal interest. This is a big haram, taking money from the orphanage.

It is also haram to take money from pension fund for the elder old age folks.
