A question to Christians

I'm a Muslim but not a religious one.

I don't go around searching for religious materials to read or watch.

Normally I even avoid them as I'm afraid of reading or watching the wrong ones..

I also avoid discussing religion because I don't feel I'm qualified to do so.

I totally avoid debating religion.

I know that there are many crazy religious people out there and I suspect they are actually more clever than myself.

Knowing that I'm not very good with religious stuff, I try to avoid interacting with them as I'm scared of ending up being like them.

My parents are not very religious too.

As a Muslim, I follow as much as I can what I was thought of my religion when I was growing up.

I attended the Sekolah Agama Johor up to standard five.

So, what happened yesterday was totally by accident.

I was searching for some entertainment materials in YouTube  when I came across a video about the recent City Harvest Church scandal in Singapore.

It was the way the video was presented that made me paused and think what's wrong with these religious people.

After watching that clip, I started to go through other religious videos just to find an answer to what happened to those people.

Then I came across this video which made me think about something else,

The old man said there was not a single verse in the Bible which indicates that Jesus had ever claimed out right that he was God.

Is this right? If so, why?

I hope there is a Christian among readers of this blog who could explain that to me.

I'm not trying to debate about it but just want some explanation.

To all commentators, please be polite and nice on this one. I will not allow comments which are insulting or rude.

Thanks for the kind consideration.

    1. The Old Man, was Mr. Ahmed Deedat of the 80's and 90's fame who gave Christians Priests All over the world a run for their money (Gold, Gospel and God -all in that order).

      Jimmy Swaggart (USA):

The old man said there was not a single verse in the Bible which indicates that Jesus had ever claimed out right that he was God. Instead of answering Annie's question, you merely quote the anti-Muslim website, "Answering Islam" If you chose to be vague about he issue, let me point to a point by point rebuttal of ALL the Christian beliefs.

      Answering Christianity:

    3. Guys, please don't quarrel. I'm just asking that one question which puzzled me when watching that video clip. I think a Christian reader of this blog had answered me in a comment further down the line. He/she gave me the verses in the Bilble which pointed out that Jesus did claimed himself to be God as according to the Christian beliefs. At least now I know why Christians regard Jesus as God.

    4. Bro. Jabalnur,

I met Dr. Jerald Dirks which you mention, when he lectured in Singapore years ago. He's written quite a few books on early Christian history and its connections with Prophet Muhammad's message.

    6. beware. of opiate21 December 2015 at 20:44

Annie..islam and christianity both from middle east. These were attempts to promote their self interest.
so dong worry about islam or christianity. The european have discovered christianity was opiate for the people while the priest fuck altar boys and girls... just create a business where u can get others to donate and make you rich...

  2. The wests have long abandoned religion. Knowledge is God. Otherwise how do they have time researching to advance human civilization while the rest of the world trying to outdo each other interpreting the verses in their books.

  3. All religions have been corrupted by so-called scholars. The Quraan says why not just serve your Creator. Why do you serve what you make yourselves or dead people? According to Dr James Price: “Two things indicate that Yehoshua is the proper Hebrew name for Jesus: (1) In the Greek Translation of the OT known as the Septuagint (LXX), the name Joshua is rendered *Iasous* = Jesus. (2) In the NT, Joshua is mentioned twice (Acts 7:45; Heb 4:8), and in both places the Greek NT spells the name *Iasous* = Jesus. Thus the Greek *Iasous* is the equivalent of Hebrew *Yehoshua*” (from: ‘The Names of Yeshua and Yehoshua’ by Dr James Price, Professor of Hebrew)

Quraan Surah 6:122 says: Would somebody who was dead Allah gave him life and made him a ‘Light’. He walks with it among the people like someone who is similar to him in the darknesses [of death] not he comes out from it.

    Just for your information.

    1. Also FYI, in orthodox Islam, there are criteria to discriminate between sagacious scholars (ulama bil khair) and misguided scholars (ulama bisa su'u). We should know which is which, before we can heed the instructions of the good one and reject the promptings of the evil ones.

  4. Ayat 122 surah al An"am tu ada sambungannya lagi.

  5. I think you should ask about your religion first. Where in the Quran mention instruction of solat or dog being haram or mohammad marrying s child. So how ?

    1. I checked those questions you told me to ask and was quite satisfied with the answers given by people who knows better than me about Islam. I think I asked quite a simple question here to know more about Christianity. If your answer is that "YES, there is a verse in the Bible which said Jesus told everyone he was God", I would be satisfied and accept the answer as it is. That's all.

    2. If Jesus is God, then why they need the name Allah for God Jesus?
      Jesus-Allah or Allah-Jesus?

    3. Annie you ask someone to explain somethings not in the Quran and you are satisfied by third party explanation. Your reasoning is not differrent than a Christian getting an answer on something not in the bible from a third party. Why your acceptance different than the Christian.

    4. Anon 14:38
Are you trying to tell me that it's not stated in the Bible that Jesus claimed to be God? I will accept that if that's what you meant. I'm not questioning the Christian faith. I just want to know what Jesus actually said about his supposed divinity. It's for me to understand the religion and not to mock it.

    5. You also agree that all the question I pose to you is not in the Quran. Actually I am your so call liberal Muslim and I can't confirm what is or not in the bible. I rather question my understanding of my Quran first before poking other people holy book.

    6. So, I'm not supposed to ask such a question? I thought the question was not insulting or anything like that. Sorry, if it offends you. I just want to check whether what the old man said in the video clip was right or wrong. I thought a Christian would be able to tell me.

  6. Dear Annie,

Another 3.7bil. Apa benda yang Najib buat ni?

Tolonglah saman WSJ. Kenapa semua blogger pro Najib diam membisu?

Duit 3.7bil adalah terlalu banyak dah.

    Kenapa tak rebut?

What is happening with our country?

    1. Anon 11:27.
(Tiada Wang, Tiada Agama)

  7. You'd have to wait a long time, adinda Ms Annie
    for an answer.

We respect Christian faith but not many of them here have been grounded in Bible and Gospel studies vs Muslim Children starting right from kindergarten through schools and up to IPTA, kan?

    Haji M Zin
    Alor Gajah DPH

    1. Oh yes, Hj Zin, I suppose Muslims are well grounded in their knowledge of Islam. The JAKIM portal identifies 56 Muslim cults in Malaysia, imagine if each cult has 1,000 followers, that's 56,000 Muslims following some cult. Remember Ayah Pin had 5,000 followers. Jais has said there are 30 cults in Selangor. Then there are about 70,000 to 100,000 Shiah Malays. Shiah in Malaysia is considered deviants and Shiahism in Malaysia is growing so much so the local mosques are having Bahaya Shiah ceramah's.Let us not forget Wahabism in Malaysia. That's another bunch of crackpots.Only last week Zahid Hamidi said many deviants are hiding behind "pertubuhans", then you have Muslims in Malaysia following ISIS. Oh don't forget the al-arqam chaps who have rebranded themselves. Next you have the deviant tabligh movements. Hj Zin, ask around about the tabligh mosque in Sri Petaling. More Muslims follow Ustaz Ferari's stories then understanding the holy book. Add, to all these are the problems of incest so prevalent in the community, abandoned wife and children, drug abuse, divorces or the list goes on. Go fix your problem first.

    2. There are exceptions Sdr ANON 23:32
who are lead by power crazy leaders in all religions.

Go fix your bishops and priests who are overly choir-boys friendly(?) first.

The majority Muslims are ready for ASWJ Sharia
( Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah mainstream )
      based on al-Quran and Sunnah.

  9. John:10:30 I and the father are one.John 5:17-18 “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” Therefore the Jews sought to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.
John:8:58 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

    1. I guess you are a Christian,
Thanks for pointing out these verses I take it that they are the ones proving that Jesus said in his own words in the Bible that he is God and he want to be worship as one.
I'm a Muslim and I don't accept Jesus as God. He is to me as according to my religion is a great prophet. But I respect your acceptance of him as God as pointed out in those verses of your holy book.

    2. Those verses don't prove Jesus (ra) saying he is God (swt) he is referring to the father whom we are all children because we are all Gods creations through his creation Adam (ra)

    3. amr18,

The second verse quoted by anon above clearly proves Jesus claiming divinity. In Jewish scripture or the Old Testament, God describes himself as "I AM". This means that he has no beginning or end and always is. He's describing his nature.

      Further proof.

John 1 v 1. 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God

      Following through to John 1 v 14 :
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Following through to John 1 v 18: 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and[b] is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

    4. Go look it up bro. The Late Sheikh Ahmad Deedat answered this "I AM" question long ago. Saying I AM doesnt mean that jesus is god.

    5. shed anuar,

Bro, I just checked out Sheikh Ahmad Deeda. I honestly found his argument to be very weak. Remember, after Jesus claims this title of "I AM", the Jews wanted to stone him for claiming divinity. In fact, the reason why the Jews crucified him was because they were of the opinion that Christ was claiming divinity.

Simple logic la bro, why would 99% of Christians of every sect believe that Christ is God, if its not stated in the Bible? And remember, just like you have additional books such as the Hadith to describe your Prophet's life, we also have tons of other writings and traditions that describes Christ and his teachings in much more detail than the Bible does.

This false notion that the Bible is all there is to represent Christianity is a false one that was coined up in the 1500s during the Reformation.

  10. Hi Annie,

"Is this right? If so, why?"

    Is Jesus God?

    1. The Bible Says that God is not Man
    The Bible says:

    Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man…"

Hosea 11:9 "...For I am God, and not man..."
Jesus is called a man many times in the Bible:

John 8:40 "…a man who has told you the truth…"

Acts 2:22 "Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know."

Acts 17:31 "He will judge the world in righteousness through a man whom He has appointed"

    1.Tim. 2:5 "…the man Christ Jesus."

God is not a man, but Jesus, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, was a man, therefore, Jesus was not God.

    2. The Bible Says that God Is Not a Son of Man
    Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man...nor a son of man…"

The Bible often calls Jesus "a son of man" or "the son of man."

Matthew 12:40 "…so will the son of man be…"

Matthew 16:27 "For the son of man is going to come…"

Matthew 28 "…until they see the son of man coming in His kingdom."

Mark 2:10 "But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority…"

John 5:27 "…because He is the son of man."

    In the Hebrew Scriptures, the "son of man" is also used many times speaking of people (Job 25:6; Psalm 80:17; 144:3; Ezekiel 2:1; 2:3; 2:6; 2:8; 3:1; 3:3; 3:4; 3:10; 3:17; 3:25).

Since God would not contradict Himself by first saying He is not the son of a man, then becoming a human being who was called "the son of man", he would not have done so. Remember God is not the author of confusion. Also, human beings, including Jesus, are called "son of man" specifically to distinguish them from God, who is not a "son of man" according to the Bible.

    3. The Bible Says that Jesus Denied He is God

Luke 18:19 Jesus spoke to a man who had called him "good," asking him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone."

Matthew 19:17 And he said to him, "Why are you asking me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments."

Jesus did not teach people that he was God. If Jesus had been telling people that he was God, he would have complimented the man. Instead, Jesus rebuked him, denying he was good, that is, Jesus denied he was God.

    4. The Bible Says that God is Greater than Jesus

John 14:28 "My Father is greater than I."

John 10:29 "My father is greater than all."

Jesus can not be God if God is greater than him. The Christian belief that the Father and son are equal is in direct contrast to the clear words from Jesus.

    5. Jesus Never Instructed His Disciples to Worship Himself or the Holy Ghost, but God and God Only
Luke 11:2 "When you pray, say Our Father which art in heaven."

John 16:23 "In that day, you shall ask me nothing. Whatsoever you ask of the Father in my name."

John 4:23 "The hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship him."

If Jesus was God, he would have sought worship for himself. Since he didn’t, instead he sought worship for God in the heavens, therefore, he was not God.

    Seterusnya ya Annie...

    1. Thanks for sharing your views. I'm not well verse in religion, so, it's enlightening for me to read it.

    2. The direct disciples of Jesus (Church of Jerusalem)received Jesus as the Messiah sent by Yahweh Lord Creator, but Paul of Tarsus who never met Jesus, had other pagan ideas about his religion which in time became trinitarian Christianity. In Paul's writings he assimilated Jesus into Lord Yahweh:

      Jesus is Yahweh
      Jesus Receives Prayer
      Jesus Receives Hymns
      Jesus is Pre-Existent
      Jesus is Creator

  11. Hi Annie,

    6. The Bible Says that Jesus Recognized, Prayed, & Worshipped the Only True God

Jesus prayed to God with the words:

John 17:3 "…that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."

Jesus prayed to God all night:

Luke 6:12 "he continued all night in prayer to God."

Matthew 20:28: "Just as the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve."

How did Jesus pray to God?

Matthew 26:39: "he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, ‘My Father."

    Even Paul said:

Hebrews 5:7 "During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission."

Who was Jesus praying to when he fell on his face with loud cries and petitions? Was it himself? Was Jesus crying in tears to himself pleading to be saved from death? No man, sane or insane, prays to himself! Surely the answer must be a resounding ‘No.’ Jesus was praying to "the only true God." Jesus was the servant of the One Who sent him. Can there be a clearer proof that Jesus was not God?

The Quran confirms that Jesus called for the worship of the Only True God:

"Truly, God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him (alone). This is the straight path." (Quran 3:51)

. The Bible says that the disciples did not believe Jesus was God

    7. The Acts of the Apostles in the Bible details the activity of the disciples over a period of thirty years after Jesus, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, was raised to heaven. Throughout this period, they never referred to Jesus as God. For instance Peter stood up with the eleven disciples and addressed a crowd saying:

Acts 2:22 "Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know."

For Peter, Jesus was a servant of God (confirmed in Matthew 12:18):

Acts 3:13 "The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus."

Acts 3:26 "God raised up his servant..."

When faced by opposition from the authorities, Peter said:

Acts 5:29-30 "We must obey God rather than men! The God of our fathers raised Jesus..."

The disciples prayed to God just as they were commanded by Jesus in Luke 11:2, and considered Jesus to be God’s servant,

Acts 4:24 "...they raised their voices together in prayer to God. ‘Sovereign Lord,’ they said, ‘you made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.’"

Acts 4:27 "...your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed."

Acts 4:30 "…of Your holy servant Jesus."

This is exactly what the Quran states of Jesus:

Quran 19: 30 "…I am indeed a servant of God."

    8. The Bible says that Jesus was God’s servant, chosen one, and beloved

Matt. 12:18 "Behold, My servant, whom I have chosen, in whom My soul is well pleased."

Since Jesus is God’s servant, Jesus can not be God.
    9. The Bible says that Jesus could not Do Anything by Himself

John 5:19 "The son can do nothing by himself; he can only do what he sees his Father doing."

John 5:30 "I can of mine own self do nothing."

Jesus did not consider himself equal with God, rather he denied doing anything by himself.

  12. Annie, penerangan keatas jawaban ini terlalu panjang, demikian saya pendekkan kepada kata kesimpulannya ya.

The Bible says twice that Jesus was accused of being God, but he denied it

According to the Bible, on only two instances the Jews opposed Jesus on the basis that he pretended to be God or equal with God. Had Jesus, may the mercy of God be upon him, claimed to be God, he is likely to have been opposed on this basis more frequently. Because in these two instances, when charged, in the one case, with making himself God, and in the other, with making himself equal with God, he denied the charges. In reply to the charge of being an equal with God, he says immediately:

John 5:19, 30 “The son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do”; and directly after:

“I can of mine own self do nothing.”

In answer to the charge of making himself God, he appeals to the Jews in substance thus: Your own Scriptures call Moses a god, and your magistrates gods; I am surely not inferior to them, yet I did not call myself God, but only the “son” of God (John 10:34-36).

This is unlikely to have been Jesus’ actual response. Hastings in “The Dictionary of the Bible” says, “Whether Jesus used it of himself is doubtful.” Grolier’s encyclopedia, under the heading “Jesus Christ,” says, “it is uncertain whether the Father/Son language (Mark 18:32; Matt. 11:25-27 par.; John passim) goes back to Jesus himself.” A University of Richmond professor, Dr. Robert Alley, after considerable research into newly found ancient documents concludes that:

“....The (Biblical) passages where Jesus talks about the Son of God are later additions.... what the church said about him. Such a claim of deity for himself would not have been consistent with his entire lifestyle as we can reconstruct. For the first three decades after Jesus’ death Christianity continued as a sect within Judaism. The first three decades of the existence of the church were within the synagogue. That would have been beyond belief if they (the followers) had boldly proclaimed the deity of Jesus.”

Assuming Jesus did say that he was “son” of God. What did it mean? We first need to know the language of his people, the language of the Jews to whom he was speaking.
First, most people think there are no other verses that contradict or give equal divine sonship to other persons in the Old or New Testament. But according to the Bible God had quite a few “sons”: Adam,[1] Jacob is God’s son and firstborn,[2] Solomon[3], Ephraim[4] is God’s firstborn, common people are called the sons of God.[5] All four Gospels record Jesus as saying, “Blessed are the peace-makers; they will be called sons of God.”

The word “son” cannot be accepted literally because in the Bible, God apparently addresses many of his chosen servants as “son” and “sons.” The Hebrews believed God is One, and had neither wife nor children in any literal sense. Therefore, it is obvious the expression “son of God” merely meant “Servant of God”; one who, because of faithful service, was close and dear to God as a son is to his father. Christians who came from a Greek or Roman background, later misused this term. In their heritage, “son of God” signified an incarnation of a god or someone born of a physical union between male and female gods. This can be seen in Acts 14: 11-13, where we read that when Paul and Barnabas preached in a city of Turkey, pagans claimed they were gods incarnate. They called Barnabas the Roman god Zeus, and Paul the Roman god Hermes.

Furthermore, the New Testament Greek word translated as “son” are “pias” and “paida” which mean “servant,” or “son in the sense of servant.” These are translated to “son” in reference to Jesus and “servant” in reference to all others in some translations of the Bible. So, consistent with other verses, Jesus was merely saying that he is God’s servant.

  13. Dear Annie, if you still have the time and interest to know more about God, I would like to suggest you to read a very interesting book entitled "What Jesus Really Say" by Mishaal Abdullah Al Kandi. You can have the book from the internet for free. I have read it myself and it had helped quite a lot in my understanding about Jesus and God. May Allah bless you and your family

    1. Anon 19:02, Did Jesus really said all that??? God bless!!!

  14. In short, Deedat told the truth. Jesus in the bible never said unequivocally he is God or said worship him. But there are many verses which the christians believe alluded to his godship. The question now is if Jesus is indeed God, and humans are searching for God to worship, why must Jesus be coy and elusive about it?

  15. Let me share with you my reading of the Quraan on ‘Eesa. The Quraan mentioned two ‘Eesas. One is real whilst the other is not. The real one is Yahya wa ‘Eesa (Yehoshua). However, people do not mention his name Yahya before ‘Eesa. They only called him ‘Eesa.

The other ‘Eesa is not real. Not real because Allah in the Quraan said that He had no son. The Quraan said that ‘Eesa was not killed or crucified; it was only conjectures. The Quraan said that all Messengers were married and had children.

This also true about Prophet Muhammad. The narrations about him in the Quraan is true. The ones in the Books of Hadeeth may not be.

    1. 1. Yahya wa 'Eesa is Yehoshua? How did you derive this from the arabic Qur'an?
      2. All messengers were married and had children? Please provide the Qur'anic verse supporting this.

  18. I agree with Bintangjauh18's view in respect to the word "son" written in the Bible. "The word “son” cannot be accepted literally because in the Bible, God apparently addresses many of his chosen servants as “son” and “sons.”

I'm of the opinion that Jesus is God spiritual son and NOT biological son

  19. Jesus Said He Was Equal to God. Quotes from Jesus...

Jesus Said He Existed Before Abraham
"Your father Abraham rejoiced as he looked forward to my coming. He saw it and was glad."
The people said, "You aren't even fifty years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham?"
Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am!"4

Jesus Said to See Him is the Same as Seeing God
Jesus shouted to the crowds, "If you trust me, you are trusting not only me, but also God who sent me. For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark."5

"No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!"
Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied."
Jesus replied, "Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don't know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you?"6

Jesus Said He Could Forgive Sins
"...that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"--he then said to the paralytic--"Rise, pick up your bed and go home." And he rose and went home. When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and they glorified God..."7

He said to them, "You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins."8

Jesus Said He Is the Judge and Can Grant Eternal Life
"For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father."9

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live."10

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand."11

"For it is my Father's will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day."12

Jesus Said He Was the Same as God
"The Father and I are one."
Once again the people picked up stones to kill him.
Jesus said, "At my Father's direction I have done many good works. For which one are you going to stone me?"
They replied, "We're stoning you not for any good work, but for blasphemy! You, a mere man, claim to be God."13

    1. This question was answered by the late Ahmad Deedat. His lectures and debates is in u tube.

  20. Jawapannya boleh ditahu sendiri bila Annie mati. Semoga cepat sampai ajal.

    1. So that answers the question then. God is this thing at 18:38.
Sebab dia boleh menentukan ajal seseorang.
      Betul tak?

  21. Hi Annie,

Love your blog. But I can't answer your question. A lot of kids ask their Christian parents questions like what you posed. Often, their parents don't know the answer. And Christians in Malaysia are cool with it.

You can't expect Christians, Buddhists and Hindus to be as knowledgeable about their religion as Muslims. There is no formal education process, unlike what Muslims are subjected to.

Perhaps you can hop over to your nearest Church and ask the pastor/priest. I recommend one of those evangelical types (the shoplot above the mamak shop type). Catholic priest tend to too long winded.

    Good luck in your question

    Anon ex-Christian.

    1. Jesus said to seek the truth as the truth will set you free. You cannot expect to be taught all the time if you do not seek the truth. Anyway the old man in the video is correct; but do you know that there is not one passage in the bible that says Jesus said there is a God?
Therein lies a dilemma, how do you preach about God when you know there is no God? That is why Jesus said: I and the Father are one, If you see me you see the Father.
      There is no God.

  22. there is no God but Allah and Muhammad (Peace be upon Him and His family) is the Messenger of Allah.

there is no God but Allah and everthing else is fake God...(let me tell you why)

God need to be the most powerful and everything else, other that Allah is not powerful like jesus....he is just a man and tokong is just a stone and cow is just a cow and what else people are worshiping...? the sun the moon the fire....all of that is not powerful enough but Allah said this in the Quran and nobody can even match His Greatness and Powers and therefor God is Allah...

Say, "If the sea were ink for [writing] the words of my Lord, the sea would be exhausted before the words of my Lord were exhausted, even if We brought the like of it as a supplement."
    - Qur'an (18:109)

And if whatever trees upon the earth were pens and the sea [was ink], replenished thereafter by seven [more] seas, the words of Allah would not be exhausted. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
    - Qur'an (31:27)

this is just his words and there is more about Him that only He knows best.....

now if you would to put every other fake God into this challenge...i myself can write about their God in a kilometrico pen.

  23. Just sort out your religionlah. Killing in the name of your God. Raping your own children because they are your fruits of your plantation, abandoned wives, boy we see your religion holding up well.

    1. there will always be people that....

And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah untruth while he is being invited to Islam. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. -Qu'ran (61:7)

They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it. -Qu'ran (61:8)

    2. Lets not start comparing bishops, Sdr ANON 14:23
and unmarried priests who are happily preoccupied with choir boys.

There are some bad people everywhere, betul?

      Haji M Zin
      Alor Gajah DPH

    3. Haji Zin, how about the Malay fathers raping their own children. Any reasons why Hj?

    4. Jesus, God or Man, it's fine by me. When we reach heaven only then we ccan find out. Anyway, I am going to my own heaven. Not a heaven where Sunnis and Shiah's will still fight.

    5. Good Christian fathers too(?) Sdr ANON 13:48
as Satan celebrates a good year this Christmas.

      Haji M Zin
      Alor Gajah DPH

    6. So Hj, know of any of your friends who has raped their own children? Yes, the Satan's are running amok in Iraq and Syria.

    7. None friends here, Sdr ANON 20:40
and Satans amok in Europe where incest
      is not illegal kan?

      Haji M Zin
      Alor Gajah DPH

    8. Hj Zin, really incest not illegal in Europe huh. Tapi kat sini, religion allows is it? could you tell why many fathers of a particular community loves raping their children?

    9. Not even 0.001% here kut(?) Sdr ANON 15:06
the incest criminals numbers as a wild guess, but why keep repeating the question and you got statistics?

So why choir boys molested by bachelor bishops and priests of a particular religion? Same answer kan?

      Haji M Zin
      Alor Gajah DPH

    10. Agree, I think this Hj M Zin, should own up and tell what is the fixation of raping own children. It seems that one community has a serious problem. Animals hardly do to their own. Let's not look the speecks in another religion.

    11. You have a 'strange fixation' Sdr ANON 14: 23 .. to 17:49

You started insisting on one speck.
There is plenty enough pornography in the Bible.

  24. Author of The Chronicles of Narnia etc - C. S. Lewis was the agnostic professor of Renaissance literature at Oxford University, a prolific author and a recognized expert of mythological texts. He too had bought into the idea that the Bible was not a book of reliable history and that the New Testament was filled with all sorts of mythical stories, created by individuals far removed from the events described.

But through the influence of his childhood and friends who challenged his atheism, Lewis began to read the Bible. He was astounded at what he encountered in the Gospels, for it was obviously a different genre from the ancient mythologies with which he was so familiar. His surprised response was, "This is not myth!" Lewis went on to become a dedicated follower of Christ and perhaps the most significant Christian apologist of the 20th century.

At the time, higher criticism was being popularized in German seminaries. Certain theologians, such as Rudolph Bultman, were claiming that the New Testament accounts of the virgin birth of Jesus, His miracles and His resurrection were myths created by His followers.

Lewis challenged these theologians, saying, "I would like to know how many myths these people have read!" He went on to explain that he had been a long-time professor and critic of mythological literature and knew how a myth sounded and felt. "And the gospel story," he said, "is not myth!"

  25. dear annie,
the question that you need to ask is whether you are a muslim or not.
    age is catching up...

  26. Haji Zin, maybe you should go hang around the police station and courts and see many in your community being charged for incest.

    1. Alaa read your Bible instead, Sdr ANON 12:10
given your fixation on double-incest and drinking being allowed. Really no need for you to hang around the courts.

" And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose"

      -- Genesis (19: 33-35, KJV)

  27. I think you're asking this question genuinely, and there's really no harm asking questions. The only people who get angry with questions are people who don't have the answers, and are too lazy (or afraid) to find them.

The entire concept of Christianity is a God who died for the sins of man. Without going into specific bible passages (there are a few), the essence is this.

    1. God Created Man (and Woman of course :))
    2. Man sin and fell out with God
    3. Jesus reconciled Man with God, by paying for the sins of Man with his blood.

Since man sins are infinite, the only person who could pay for those sins would be the infinite himself, and that is God.

If Jesus was just a man, or even a prophet, how could his death account for all the sins of man.

That's just my 2 cents, I'm not a scholar, but good question.
