Doing it for a better Malaysia, really?

Let's say Pakatan wins the next general election, do you think there will be a better democracy in Malaysia?

If you are a Pakatan supporter, of course you would say YES.

But, honestly, is that what Pakatan people really want?

BN people are saying Pakatan is no better or even worse than them.

Are they?

Well, I once told a good friend who is a Pribumi supporter (previously Umno supporter) that I'm uncomfortable with the incessant talks among people on his side about throwing Najib and other BN people in jail once Pakatan takes over the country.

"But isn't that what the rakyat want?" he shot back.

"I think the rakyat want justice, but you can't give them that if you already condemned those BN people before you even win the election and has the power to dispense justice," I said to him.

I then told my friend that Pakatan would be no better than BN if it has such mentality.

I think they need to work more and talk less.

Seriously.

Furthermore, imagine you are going into a battle and even before the fighting starts you keep hearing the enemy saying that they are not taking any prisoner and will execute everyone on your side once they win.

I bet you will go all out and fight as hard as you can using every means necessary to win. After all, the enemy  had said they are going to kill you anyway even if you surrender to them.

And of course if cheating means you can win, you will cheat. It's a matter of life and death, okay.

The enemy had already stated that they couldn't care less about following the rules if they win, so why should you be nice and proper with them, right?

Try imagine this - BN plays according to the rules in the coming GE14 and then Pakatan wins. Then they arrest Najib, Rosmah and the whole gang. Do you really think there will be a fair trial for them?

Okay, let's say there's a fair trial and much to everyone's surprise, it turns out that they were not guilty of anything. How do you think the Pakatan people will react?

Eh, remember ya, you all condemned them already even now.

Seriously, do we really want what is best for our country or do we want what is best for ourselves and our beliefs?

I'm not saying it's wrong to go against BN, but are we clear of our intention for doing so?

Think about it okay.

Will things be better? Are we better than the people we regard as our enemies?

Let's take the media for an example.

First of all, do you all really believe in freedom of speech and the need for the media to be politically neutral?

I think I have tried my best with this blog on this one ever since the Najib-Dr Mahathir war started in 2015. I published almost all comments and I criticised both sides if they did wrong.

Unfortunately, based on the comments that  I received, I don't think that most of you all really appreciate my effort on that.

Most of you all, especially from the Pakatan side strongly condemned me whenever I wrote something which went negative from your belief.

So, you all have to excuse me if I don't believe that the media will be better even if Pakatan takes over after GE14.

I even believe that the main stream media will be the same, except that it will just change sides.

I know that some of the behind the scene operators who control those media outlets are already hedging in case BN is really going to lose GE14.

They are not the visible top mainstream media people, Pakatan hopes to kick out if it comes to power, okay.

One of them, who is a "player" responsible for the recent ousting of several senior editors in his organisation had a private function with Pakatan people as guests just several weeks ago.

The purpose of that was very clear, I think.

Well, these type of people will remain in control of the news organisations even after a Pakatan victory.

And nothing will change. Mainstream media will remain the tool of those in power even if they are from Pakatan.

After all, Pakatan people as for now seem to still favour just stories which are nice about their side.

Personally, I feel that if Pakatan really wants to win the coming GE14, it needs to prove that things I wrote here were wrong.

You all Pakatan people must show the rest of us that you all are better than the BN people, instead of just saying that.

Sorry to say that at this moment, you all are not there yet.

Kalau sikit-sikit asyik nak kutuk aku je, apa perbezaan positif yang korang nak bawak kat Malaysia ni?

Orang tak suka macam tu tau.

Try to say things nicely lah, okay.

      Yes, exactly.

Both Selangor & Penang far cleaner than Federal govt, lah.

You have to remember that Umgnok uses Special Branch & entah apa lagi to monitor all oppo politicians.

      Even with that, nothing.

Until they have to pull Azmin's bapok brother "go to hell") to create fake drama.

      Malu lah, BN...

    Which orang?

Annie, you pun pernah nasihat umno supaya jangan kutuk Mahathir, orang tak suka macam tu tau....apa respon mereka?

    1. In BN there 2 types of leaders, 1 is a quite types macam anak tiri trying to please their senior and the other anak bodek always tried their best to insult our inteligence whenever they open their wide loud mouth to defend the indefensable without realising that they are actually insulting their own for willing to stoop so low thinking and hoping that we will bite their bait. Do we want a an idiot in our Parliament. An asshole to be precise. They are not boot licker bcoz boot licker knew we dont buy their story but these asshole thought that we would. I just cant imagine what would other world leaders think of them. They stoop so low amongst the lowest. It make me puke.

  11. In 2008 for 1st time I voted for DAP. Aku orang Melayu. BN ADUN then was not doing enough to resolve many issues. Ini di kawasan perbandaran. Terbalik BN dan sekarang calon la malaikat dalam BN pun, BN tak payah mimpi boleh menang kerusi ADUN & Parlimen ni lagi. Dah 2 kali tak boleh menang. Di bandar dan perbandaran, pengundi tak mrngundi ikut emotional attachment to any party. MP gagal, kami nak MP lain. Nokhtar. Sama la jugak, BN gagal, kami nak parti lain asalkan bukan BN.

    Lagi cepat lagi bagus.

They should stay in the waters or in the air. Never on land again.

  12. Annie,

//do you think there will be a better democracy in Malaysia?//

"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" - Rhett Butler in "Gone with the Wind".

//But, honestly, is that what Pakatan people really want?//

As far as GE14 is concerned, I take the same line as Mark Twain, i.e. "“Politicians and diapers must be changed often, and for the same reason.”"

Paradoxically, losing Putrajaya will be good for UMNO in the long run!!

All the deadwood in UMNO will be thrown out and fresh wood and new growth will thrive.

There is a second reason for voting Pakatan.

The accountants here will tell you that one of the oldest and best audit tactics for detecting fraud, is to change the personnel who normally do a particular job.

Discrepancies between the change in personnel will show up like dog's balls.

//imagine you are going into a battle and even before the fighting starts you keep hearing the enemy saying...//

Annie, UMNO has ALWAYS known that was the case since about GE4 or GE5, OK?

Every GE, since at very least, the 1980s, has been to prevent a full and proper audit of finances and operation.

This business of the enemy wanting to kill anybody and everybody is not new, OK?

So, cheat they must and cheat they will.

    //let's say there's a fair trial and much to everyone's surprise....//

You forget that there is already plenty of evidence held by other countries which is simply being ignored by our current administration.

As the saying goes, ask and ye shall receive, but neither our Attorney-General nor our MACC nor our PDRM seem to want to do any asking.

// do we really want what is best for our country//

    This is Pakatan thinking.

//do we want what is best for ourselves and our beliefs//

    This is UMNO thinking.

//are we clear of our intention for doing so?//

Yup, time to change the baby's diaper.

    //Will things be better?//

My guess is that things will be tough for the first few years as we confront the reality of the looting.

We should see some improvements in the second term of a Pakatan govt, i.e. after GE15.

//Are we better than the people we regard as our enemies?//

As far as some of our "enemies" are concerned, hell, yes!!

    Other "enemies"?

    Probably not.

//do you all really believe in freedom of speech and the need for the media to be politically neutral?//

Yes, the media should be political neutral.

It should just report the news as it happens.

That is what the very best news organisations in the world do.

//I think I have tried my best with this blog on this one ever since the Najib-Dr Mahathir war started in 2015.//

Having read your writings for a while, I think you have been reasonably fair and balanced :)

//Unfortunately, based on the comments that I received...//

You do know that you received a big boost of pro-oppo readers after your blog began to be featured as a pro-UMNO blog in Malaysia Chronicle, don't you?

Now, readers from Malaysia Chronicle are mostly frustrated pro-opposition supporters who just need to lash out against someone, anyone, who is seen as an UMNO supporter.

You just happen to be a convenient target.

//Most of you all, especially from the Pakatan side strongly condemned me ...//

Malaysians have been programmed to be sensitive about their little pet likes, be it politics or religion or their favourite nasi lemak place.

//I even believe that the main stream media will be the same, except that it will just change sides.//

Main stream media is becoming less and less relevant nowadays.

Anyway, if the govt did change, well, the govt TV and radio channels will have to change, regardless.

Others like the Star, Utusan, NST? Dunno.

//Pakatan people as for now seem to still favour just stories which are nice about their side//

Most Malaysians do not handle criticism too well.

Like I said earlier, they are programmed to be sensitive :)

//if Pakatan really wants to win the coming GE14, it needs to prove that things I wrote here were wrong.//

For me, the only thing which Pakatan needs to prove to to fix the economy, fix the racial discrimination, fix the psychos in JAKIM, fix the education system, and lots more.

//You all Pakatan people must show the rest of us that you all are better than the BN people...//

    Easy :)

Just tell Najib to hand over the reins of government :)

//Sorry to say that at this moment, you all are not there yet//

That is an accusation which can be leveled at any government anywhere on this planet.

But Selangor and Penang seem to be doing quite well under Pakatan administration.

Anyway, it is late, I think I have written waaaayy too much and I am starting to ramble on.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I am all for change if it is for the better but Pakatan in its current state will probably be worse than BN. It is amazing that the opposition is selling you the future of Pakatan that actually represents the sordid past of UMNO in the shape of Dr M, Anwar and Azmin Ali. Is that what the people really want? Dr M and Anwar are the people who brought money politics into Malaysia. Dr M was instrumental in introducing crony capitalism to Malaysia, a crude form of trickle down economics and is now globally discredited policy that has led to widening income gaps around the world.

Dr M enriched his cronies many of whom failed to do the job yet still ended up wealthy. Some of those did execute well like Gamuda and to an extent Usaha Tegas so credit should given where it is due. However there were too many negative examples like Penang Shipbuilding Corporation Industries (PSCI) that was awarded defence contracts to build naval vessels but did not succeed in delivering a single seaworthy ship. Other negative instances were Tajuddin with MAS, Perwaja Steel etc...

Dr M was also instrumental in clamping down on free speech using ISA to lock up his political rivals. Under DR M newspapers were banned with Star, Watan and Sin Chew were banned for 5 months.
So freedom of press is likely to be worse. Dr M was also the one who passed the Universities and University Colleges Act that limited rights of students to demonstrate and to take part in political activities. He was also instrumental in damaging the independence of the judiciary when he sacked Lord President Tun Salled Abas as well as 5 other supreme court judges.

Pakatan Harapan's economic policies are unrealistic. They want to take away GST but have not spelled out clearly how they want to fill the gap in revenue. They want to bring back fuel subsidies which makes no sense as this benefits the rich more.

If we look at the states that the opposition is controlling you cannot really say that it is better. Penang in terms of GDP growth is now one of the worst performing states since DAP took over (when it used to be one of the fastest growing states). The DAP state government has yet to account for the 300m spent on studies for the tunnel. LGE is to face trial for corruption. Selangor was run fairly well under Khalid who is no longer with Pakatan and who now wants to work with BN. Azmin's track record in Selangor has been too short. Nonetheless he is facing allegations of misconduct.

I am not saying BN is perfect but by comparison it appears to be the better choice now that Pakatan has lost all its principles and is combining with Dr M and will appoint him PM just to win the elections.
I am not willing to so easily forget the misdeeds by Dr M as his administration resulted in serious issues which had long term ramifications that are still affecting the country now. Money Politics, still a problem in both BN and Opposition. Independence of Judiciary is still an issue now as the reputation of independence has not recovered (cue the opposition claiming the courts are rigged whenever judgements go against them). Crony capitalism led to a widening gap between the haves and have nots that exists to this day. So based on the evidence before me, BN appears to the lesser of 2 evils.

P.S someone is bound to shout what about 1MDB and Felda. Let me tell you scandals happen all the time in countries. Operation Carwash in Brazil, Jack Abramoff Rick Renzi etc...in the US. 1MDB and Felda as % of GDP is small. The scale of scandals during Dr M was far worse. Bank Bumiputra had to be bailed out during the Carrian Group scandal, same for Mirzan Mahathir's konsortium perkapalan. Ditto for MAS, Renong-UEM. Maminco, Perwaja, PSCI.

"Try imagine this - BN plays according to the rules in the coming GE14 and then Pakatan wins. Then they arrest Najib, Rosmah and the whole gang. Do you really think there will be a fair trial for them?"

    Ask yourself first:

    How did Najib escape justice?

    in a few days, he...

    a) Forced Gani Patail to resign

    b) Appointed Pandi the Barua in 24 hours

    c) Transferred / sacked all the MACC and SB officers working on the case.

    d) Later some of the officers were even arrested

    So it is all fantasy?

    No.

The A-G of Switzerland told our A-G Pandi "I have evidence that $800 million was stolen from your SRC."

    Pandi ignored it.

If the hippo and Jibby are put on trial, there will be MOUNTAINS of FORENSIC EVIDENCE of their thefts FROM SEVEN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES.

Oh ya, "komplot Yahudi" right? Kih kih kih.

If there's a dog contesting against a PAS or UMNO human candidate, and the dog wins (but of course), then certainly the PAS and UMNO human candidate is worse than a dog.

So you may call PH names and cast any doubts that you may be pleased to do, that's not the issue for the coming GE. The issue for the next GE is about Najib, it's about how much can najib do to entrench himself against the Rakyat and whether the Rakyat indeed has the power in this democracy.

Najib's Malaysia will be a case study for political science for a long time to come, and this man and his deed will be a bitter lesson for many generations to come.

And his will be a lesson on karma.

But if his supporters are foolish enough to return him to power again, then the damage will go to other THINGS.

      "She" will steal the most.

So please go ahead and vote for 5 more years of RM Rosiehippo.

      Go ahead!

//Pakatan in its current state will probably be worse than BN.//

    Probably but not necessarily :)

At least Pakatan is a fresh diaper, as per Twain's observation. :)

//the opposition is selling you the future of Pakatan that actually represents the sordid past of UMNO//

    Heheheheh!!

Back in those day, Mahatir was GOD and the sun shone out of his arsehole.

And today, those halcyon days are the sordid past?

    Heheheheh!!

//Dr M enriched his cronies many of whom failed to do the job yet still ended up wealthy.//

    Well, what has changed?

We still have those very same problems TODAY long long after Mahatir has been gone :)

Mahatir was able to do all those horrible evil things you have said because of one simple fact - UMNO RULED OVER ALL.

Do you think Mahatir can pull the same trick under a Pakatan government?

Do you seriously think PKR or DAP or Amanah will sit down quietly like MIC and MCA and say and do nothing? :)

As it is today, UMNO still rules over all and the robbing and looting continues.

    THIS MUST STOP!!!

    TIME TO CHANGE THE DIAPER!!!

    //Pakatan Harapan's economic policies are unrealistic.//

Of course Pakatan's economic policies are very likely to be unrealistic.

Firstly, you have to be crazy to think that any opposition party anywhere in the world would put out economically sustainable policies during an election campaign. :)

Secondly, I suggest to you that much of Malaysia's REAL economic data is unavailable due to being top-secret and much of Pakatan's economic policies are based on best-guess.

//If we look at the states that the opposition is controlling you cannot really say that it is better.//

    Heheheheh!!

I noticed you mentioned LGE and Azmin facing legal problems.

I suggest to you that the only real problem which LG and Azmin face is that they do not have a friendly Attorney-General to dismiss charges against them :)

//his administration resulted in serious issues which had long term ramifications that are still affecting the country now.//

Eeeerrr.. it is not as though UMNO/BN has not had the opportunity or the mandate to fix those "long term ramifications", OK? :)

//So based on the evidence before me, BN appears to the lesser of 2 evils.//

If you opt to leave the dirty diaper on the baby, so be it.

I pity the poor baby who deserves a nice new fresh diaper :)

//someone is bound to shout what about 1MDB and Felda.//

    WHAT ABOUT 1MDB AND FELDA?

    Heheheheh!!

    I didn't want to disappoint you :)

Look, just because other countries have their scandals, does not mean that 1MDB and FELDA should be excused, OK?

Other countries have murders and rapes, so does that mean we should not really worry about murder and rapes in Malaysia?

Also, have those other countries quietly swept their scabdals under the carpet and pretend that nothing has happened?

Or have those other countries pursued and prosecuted the guilty parties?

BTW, other countries can criticise Islam, allow conversion out of Islam, why can't we do the same? :)

    //Ditto for MAS, Renong-UEM. Maminco, Perwaja, PSCI.//

    Perwaja Steel again?

Hmm... I have a story about Perwaja Steel - my friend worked in there... but I better not tell that story here cos my friend might get upset with me if he finds out I have blabbed ... heheheheh!!

Point for point rebuttal coming up. In 2 parts because will not fit in one post.

//Pakatan in its current state will probably be worse than BN.//
      Probably but not necessarily :)
At least Pakatan is a fresh diaper, as per Twain's observation. :)
::: Pakatan is not a fresh diaper that is my point. Unfortunately being led by Dr M it is likely that the diaper will be even more sordid.
//the opposition is selling you the future of Pakatan that actually represents the sordid past of UMNO//
Heheheheh!! Back in those day, Mahatir was GOD and the sun shone out of his arsehole. And today, those halcyon days are the sordid past?
:::: I don't think people viewed Dr M's days as halcyon. Everyone knew the Dr M methods of the end justifies the means was not good. He Undermined the judiciary, royalty. Cronyism (remember the approved permits (AP) to import cars during Dr Ms time) and Racial polarisation increased during his time. With ISA it was difficult to oppose. Newspapers were closed and opposition were thrown into jail without trial. Within UMNO, he changed the way UMNO elections were do so that it cemented his position as president of the party making it difficult to challenge him.
//Dr M enriched his cronies many of whom failed to do the job yet still ended up wealthy.//
      Well, what has changed?
:::: Plenty has changed. There are less cronies and less lopsided contracts. Contracts given out are much fairer. Witness the new IPP contracts which have much less profitability to the concession holder. The MRT was built within budget and was completed early showing that contracts these days are based on competence not cronyism. If you successfully obtain government contracts you must really be able to execute not like PSCI. Under Najib there are no more APs for cronies.
//We still have those very same problems TODAY long long after Mahatir has been gone :)
::: See point above, much has changed. The crazy thing is by anointing Dr M as the PM, the Pakatan appears to want to move back to those days.
Mahatir was able to do all those horrible evil things you have said because of one simple fact - UMNO RULED OVER ALL. Do you think Mahatir can pull the same trick under a Pakatan government?
::: Why does Pakatan even want to anoint Dr M as PM? Don't they have anyone else capable? That is my point, alternative is worse than the current administration.
Do you seriously think PKR or DAP or Amanah will sit down quietly like MIC and MCA and say and do nothing? :)
::: With ISA, Dr M was able to put down the opposition. Now with ISA under Najib he cannot do so. Isnt that an improvement? Money politics meant Dr M was able to take on internal opposition within his party and that is why Musa Hitam and Razaleigh could not mount a challenge.

    2. 2nd part
As it is today, UMNO still rules over all and the robbing and looting continues. THIS MUST STOP!!! TIME TO CHANGE THE DIAPER!!!
:::: As I mentioned things are already changing. Lots of room for improvement for sure but even now there is less cronyism. More freedom of speech. No ISA. Has any newspaper or website been banned or closed for 5 months? Under Najib it is easier to challenge the UMNO leaders. The UUCA was amended to allow University and College students have more freedom in politics.
Changing the diaper to a sordid one is not a solution.
      //Pakatan Harapan's economic policies are unrealistic.//
Of course Pakatan's economic policies are very likely to be unrealistic. Firstly, you have to be crazy to think that any opposition party anywhere in the world would put out economically sustainable policies during an election campaign. :)
:::: In first world countries, economic policies from the opposition are realistic. Not just to win votes. It is a measure of priorities and ability to execute in developed countries where they would prioritise spending on certain areas that they focus rather than full-out populism. Perhaps the opposition should try to elevate themselves to be first world opposition coming out with realistic policies and proper alternative plans.
Secondly, I suggest to you that much of Malaysia's REAL economic data is unavailable due to being top-secret and much of Pakatan's economic policies are based on best-guess.
:::: The Economic data in Malaysia is regarded as accurate and comprehensive by the World Bank and the IMF.
:::: The AG should act regardless of whether the person is opposition or ruling party. The AG should act without fear or favour. Are you insinuating that the AG should be favourable to the opposition?
//his administration resulted in serious issues which had long term ramifications that are still affecting the country now.//
Eeeerrr.. it is not as though UMNO/BN has not had the opportunity or the mandate to fix those "long term ramifications", OK? :)
:::: As I have mentioned above, they are already fixing it but it takes time. It is easier and faster to destroy than to build up and develop. For instance racial and religious polarisation definitely increased during Dr M and Anwar's time due to their policies, Islamizing the education system and Dr M's very pro Bumiputra policy (he is still supporting Perkasa). Now Najib is trying a more inclusive path through 1Malaysia policies that are given out regardless of race or religion.

//So based on the evidence before me, BN appears to the lesser of 2 evils.//

If you opt to leave the dirty diaper on the baby, so be it. I pity the poor baby who deserves a nice new fresh diaper :)
:::: Yes agree the poor baby deserves a nice new diaper but Pakatan sure are not the new and nice diaper. They are likely to be the sordid diaper.

//someone is bound to shout what about 1MDB and Felda.//
WHAT ABOUT 1MDB AND FELDA? Heheheheh!! I didn't want to disappoint you :) Look, just because other countries have their scandals, does not mean that 1MDB and FELDA should be excused, OK?
:::: Did I say it should be excused? I just say that in the scheme of things 1MDB and Felda are smaller scandals than the scandals under Dr M.
Other countries have murders and rapes, so does that mean we should not really worry about murder and rapes in Malaysia?
Also, have those other countries quietly swept their scabdals under the carpet and pretend that nothing has happened? Or have those other countries pursued and prosecuted the guilty parties?
:::: Is the present admin sweeping things under the carpet and pretending nothing happened? For 1MDB, it was investigated by the PAC (you may not believe the AG and MACC), a bi- partisan committee where 50% of the members were from the opposition. Tony Pua and Tan Seng Giaw were on the PAC and signed off the report and assigned no blame to Najib. If you do not believe the Malaysian parties, it is still under international investigation. Felda parties are under investigation. The new chairman Shahrir is looking under the carpet and investigations are still going on. Is DAP investigating the RM300m spent on studies for the Penang tunnel project?
BTW, other countries can criticise Islam, allow conversion out of Islam, why can't we do the same? :)
:::: This is not relevant to my points.
      //Ditto for MAS, Renong-UEM. Maminco, Perwaja, PSCI.//
      Perwaja Steel again?
:::: I listed quite a number not just Perwaja and there are more just did not have the time to list them.
Hmm... I have a story about Perwaja Steel - my friend worked in there... but I better not tell that story here cos my friend might get upset with me if he finds out I have blabbed ... heheheheh!!
:::: Please share if you have more info rather than implying without facts.

  28. Prof Kangkung,

    //As an old man (54 going to 55 in a few days)//

    Wow!! 55, eh?

    A living fossil.

    Anyway, happy birthday in advanced.

// I believe the readers of this blog are mainly come from middle class//

    I am actually a 9th or 10th class Malaysian lah - non-Muslim non-Malay, nowhere near middle class :)

Oh, you probably meant "middle class" as in culturally/socially/finacially? :)

Well, I guess I still don't meet that criteria either because I am culturally bereft, possess no social skills and don't think I am particularly wealthy :)

//But sad to say, many of the comentators of this blog are downright rude.//

You can't be talking about me because I am never ever fucking rude :)

    Sarcastic? Hmmm... maybe...

    Irreverent? Hmmm... sometimes ...

Rude? No fucking way!! Not me :)

//Have you been to any UMNO event?//

I do lie awake at night crying myself to sleep because I never received that invitation in the mail :(

//You will be very very surprised to see how polite UMNO people are//

    Oh, come on.

All that politeness is just for show.

These sorts of political gatherings are the same the world over, OK?

Everybody is nice and polite because the TV cameras are rolling.

In the backrooms, knives are being sharpened in readiness for plunging into unsuspecting backs :)

You should attend more political gatherings, not just UMNO gatherings :)

//For the kampung and felda folks these traits are more important than those so called mega scandals that pakatan people are shouting//

If what you say is true, I feel so very sorry for the kampung folk and FELDA people.

You should really be ashamed of yourself for allowing the kampung folk and FELDA people to be tricked in this manner.

//BN will win and they will win big this time around.//

    My gut feel?

BN can win - not will win.

BN can win if PAS plays its role properly by ensuring that the opposition voter base, and only the opposition voter base, is split.

BN can win if the EC plays its role properly - it can bulldoze thru favourable boundaries for BN.

    So, yes, BN can win.

    But Pakatan can also win.

It is perhaps a bit harder for Pakatan to win given the many obstacles in its way, but Pakatan can also win.

If Pakatan has done its homework, targeted the right seats, delivered the right messages, then there is an equally good chance for Pakatan to win :)

As for winning big, I don't think either side can win big but then it is just a wild guess on my part based on nothing else but what I think and what I feel.

  29. The next GE is irrelevant if you do the followings:

    1) help the Melayu to screw Melayu.
    2) screw the Melayu in all your dealings but be nice to them before, during and after.
    3) moved or moving most of your money overseas, get your PR in Singapore or Aussieland
    4) send your children to international schools
    5) most of all mind your own business, don't waste your time trying to advise the Melayu.
    6) don't take this blog seriously, only read it for entertainment.
    7) don't openly offend the Melayu, their stupid pride is very precious to them.

Do all that, and you'll be fine.

//Pakatan is not a fresh diaper that is my point.//

Pakatan has never held government so it is a fresh diaper in that sense.

If you want to contend that many Pakatan politicians have previously held government andare hence not fresh diapers, I suggest to you that having changed a diaper, one tends to wash the old used diaper to make it nice and fresh again :)

//I don't think people viewed Dr M's days as halcyon.//

Oh, I can assure you that they were good times while they lasted :)

    //Plenty has changed//

    Really?

BTW, many contracts and projects seem to be going towards mainland Chinese companies.

    I wonder why.

//The crazy thing is by anointing Dr M as the PM, the Pakatan appears to want to move back to those days.//

From what I can see, appointing Mahatir as chairman of Pakatan is a shrewd move to capitalise on the Mahatir brand.

//In first world countries, economic policies from the opposition are realistic.//

Maybe they are realistic because they have access to good economic data?

//The Economic data in Malaysia is regarded as accurate and comprehensive by the World Bank and the IMF.//

Like I said, I have always suspected some hankpanky with our economic data.

If I am not mistaken, the World Bank and the IMF look at figures which can be easily doctored and massaged.

Don't get me wrong, those figures as presented are accurate and comprehensive, BUT they are doctored and massaged.

//Are you insinuating that the AG should be favourable to the opposition?//

I am suggesting that the Attorney-General acts in a fair manner befitting his role in government.

As it is, I do wonder if some of his decisions are even legal!!!

//Now Najib is trying a more inclusive path through 1Malaysia policies that are given out regardless of race or religion.//

I'll get back to this point after I have stopped laughing :)

//For 1MDB, it was investigated by the PAC (you may not believe the AG and MACC), a bi- partisan committee where 50% of the members were from the opposition.//

If I am not mistaken, the final report from the PAC was changed without the consent of the committee.

//This is not relevant to my points.//

Scandals in other countries, so let's not worry about scandals in Malaysia.

Murders and rapes in other countries, so let's not worry about murders and rapes in Malaysia.

Islam can be criticised in other countries.... ooopppsss... not relevant to what we are discussing? Mana bolih itu macam?

//Please share if you have more info rather than implying without facts//

    Cannot lah, sorry.

It will identify my friend almost immediately.

Let's just say that he is now extremely wealthy due to the friends he made in Perwaja before it went down.

Let's look on the bright side of things - he now has Chinese, Indian and Malay mistresses :) Equal opportunity for all :)
