Woke up early and straight away got into a debate with someone at breakfast.
The lady is pro-establishment and supports DS Najib Razak.
She was angry with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for attacking the PM.
"Tun is an old man, don't get angry with him lah," I said.
I told the lady that being angry wouldn't solve anything.
"Don't you know that most of those who fought this Umno civil war are doing it due to personal interests?
"Very few of them actually think about the future of Umno or even the country," I rambled.
The way I see it, most of the people on both sides have something at stake or a score to settle.
They attack Dr Mahathir or Najib, depending on which side they were on, not really because of the country or the party, but because they got something to gain if their side wins.
That's the sad reality of this ongoing Umno civil war.
That's why bystanders should not get too emotional about it
The angry lady was puzzled why then that I defended Dr Mahathir.
She knew that I was never really a Mahathirist.
In fact, I never even have a conversation with the man unlike most of the bloggers now fighting for both sides of the warring factions.
"It's because we can't afford to burn bridges now. BN (Barisan Nasional) will need every single votes it can get for the next general election and that includes those of Dr Mahathir's supporters.
"If you whack the old man now, than those votes will be lost."
"But Tun is being too much. He didn't think about all that when he started attacking Najib," replied the angry lady.
"Tun is an old man. Old man should be allowed to say anything that he wants. If you want to defend Najib, then go ahead and do so, but don't whack the old man. Whacking an old man wouldn't make you look good," I said.
Yeah, why can't they let the handsome old man says whatever he wanted to say?
They should just do the right things and let the good outcome answers Dr Mahathir.
And of course don't steal people's money and such as alleged.
If there were mistakes, then just apologise, explain how the mistakes happened, and correct them. That's all.
Just make it plain and easy for the people to understand why certain things needed to be done the way they were.
It's actually quite simple.
We can do without all these aggravations.
The worst are those who thrive on adding fuel to the fire.
The people should not listen to these batu api (instigators) who are doing it out of self interest.
Everyone needs to be cool instead of getting all riled up.
Okay, I need to get ready for work now.
Have a good Friday everyone.
Who's angry with him? they only reply to the grand old man the same manner the grand old man hitting his prey.ReplyDelete
2.6 billion issue. Surely nobody can deny this is not being addressed properly i.e. bring Najib to justice.Delete
What conspiracy? Conspiracy to bring Najib to justice?!?
We need to find the root cause of the problem. If we manage to find the root cause of the problem we will be able to resolve various issues here. The root cause of all this problem is that informations are not forthcoming from Najib himself. Lets look at the RM2.6B story...first information is that it is not true that money goes into personal account...then will sue WSJ...later change to donation...then story of sueing WSJ also died down...then donation from reach middle east...then some people in supreme council said they know abt it and some dont....if supreme council knew it, everyone in it should know abt it. So what is the real story behind the RM2.6bil? People want to know the real story and once people know the real story and there's no hanky-panky, then problem solve. So it is not wrong for both groups to get angry.ReplyDelete
"The lady is pro-establishment and supports DS Najib Razak. She was angry with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for attacking the PM."ReplyDelete
Since the lady is so pro-Najib (and I assume she believes him innocent of the corruption charges), maybe she can answer some of the questions posed by Tun M. We also want to know how she justifies the US$700m "donation" that goes to Najib's private account. Maybe you can get her to do that Annie and post her answers in your blog.
This is yet again a good spin from this blog.ReplyDelete
1. Trying to portray that there's 'another' camp, that's fighting for justice against corruption committed by Sunken Face, this is a way to group those who dare to sound out against corruption to be under one banner, to call them rebels, to label them as mahathir loyalists, when in actual fact they have no link whatsoever except the bravery to fight corrupted Sunken Face;
2. To trifle the struggle against corrupt Sunken Face as another political conspiracy for self benefit, when in actual fact the only benefit is the opportunity for the Country to move on without the cancerous Sunken Face and the benefit is for all people of Malaysia,
3. Another "Annie so scared! Please don't fight! Annie is peeing in her underpants!" kind of bullshit. This is to suggest to those not yet making any support to the people's struggle to stay away because it's a fight between two politically interested parties, when in actual fact there's only one fight here, that is the people's struggle against corrupt Sunken Face couple.
To the readers of this blog, a friend of mine who is hundred times more informed than me told me that he suspected that the moderator of this blog is a mamak, whose real name is NEINA SHAUKAT ALI. This Neina just rearrange the letters of his name from NEINA to ANNIE. He is a Paki.
I'm so tired. There's so much conspiracy against this country, now there's a potential terrorist blogger. So tired.. I am driving to the seaside now to the bitch, no, beach.
Rude people like you are the ones who turned off a lot of people from wanting to care about the whole mess.Delete
Oh Annie, you can do better than that weak comeback, can't you?Delete
How many is a lot of people "being turn off" and "caring"?
As opposed to your poisonous propaganda?
hey anon...you are just so full of shit....keep your shits to yourselfDelete
Tun M is a statesman who has the prudence of good judgment, discretion, foresight, forethought and above all common sense how he conducts his practical matters.ReplyDelete
He loves his country and he wants to see it moves forward within the region where there are rational political limits to the Najib's administration. Therefore, Najib should hold by his leadership that there is no connection between law and morality in running the country.
It is our obligation to respect and salute Tun.
Dear Anon 12:08,Delete
Concur. He deserves said respect and salutations as he had bloody-well earned it!
In turn, he has 'educated' us the need to also 'earn' the same..

How old are you 15? I think majority Umno youth still remember 1998-2003, the darkest years in Malaysia's history since 1969. We have been poor in every aspects of this nation from politics, economy, sports to the government. All that happened because of the uncontrollable corruptions that been practice by government since many years ago. That is why after Tun M step down Pak Lah earned the biggest victory in GE history. Najib not strong but the youth knew who's Tun M. More easy to be hate than love. Tun M supporters try to simulate the 1998 situation regarding 1mdb and weaken ringgit also gst issues but......it wont happened because we knew what was really happened in the late 90's. Dont bluff! I losing my job and have to sell burger to survive in 1999. Wey even my kapcai bank reposed also. Reality.
Dear Anon 13:23,Delete
I do not know how old Anon 12:08 is, but as for myself I am 45years old Muar-ian..
The following bits below of yours:-
"We have been poor in every aspects of this nation from politics, economy, sports.."
"Tun M supporters try to simulate the 1998 situation regarding 1mdb and weaken ringgit also gst issues but......it wont happened because we knew what was really happened in the late 90's."
Mohon tolong jelaskan lebih lanjut dengan sedikit-fakta please 'coz seriously kurang faham.
Because the last I had looked; (FACT) Umno/BN then, had never lost 2/3 majority in what, 4 or 5 GEs..
..(FACT) that kaum Melayu berpecah lagi dari 2-jadi-3 because of some toot-toot!
..(FACTS) for 2-world recessions (circa 1987-88 & 1997-98), we/Malaysia came out still OK. Way a lot better than having to subscribe to IMF's solution i.e Indonesia & S. Korea.
Economy then slowly grew post-recession from (FACT) about 4% to almost double in a few years.
Crisis '97-'98, Ringgit M'sia PEGGED to the Greenback to contain slide. TAK GUNA sangat Foreign-Reserves then. (Soros pun 'angkat tangan, hampir tabik-spring' kalau i teringat baca article Bloomberg was it..)
As for sports..urmm.. takde la pernah dengar/baca Team Bolasepak M'sia kena 10-0..or 6-0 dulu-dulu tu..
Before I forget.. (FACT) NO GST or similar Tax-name imposed then..
ALL, under Dr. Mahathir's 'regime'/stewardship..
Reg. your loss of job, sincerely my sympathies. Cuma you mungkin tak nampak/faham that it was due to (FACT) the stifling of credit facility imposed/decided by the Finance Minister/Ministry then. That yielded domestic economy coming to a halt. And the domino-effect ensues.
Mahathir should be in jail. 'nough said.Delete
You are lucky Annie able to meet pro Najib. For me I can't find one , semua yang I jumpa kutuk Najib , dlm Whatapps group tak payah cerita la, so i only have bored conversationReplyDelete
Wo! Wo! Wo! Hold-up..
We all have every right to voice our comments, yes? Conversely, we should be RESPONSIBLE in what we have said, in so, to choose our words prudently.
So..'Just because Tun M is an OLD Man'..so TAK elok/patut/sewaktu-dengannya marah dia? What, are you saying sebab dia mungkin dah senile? dah nak masuk kubur? Is this your train-of-thoughts where warga-emas is concerned..?
Are you saying Tun M's grey-matter dah takleh 'pakai'?
Did you ask your lady-friend what the gist of this debacle is? Or you just wanted some writing-material..? Be that the case, then memang this subject is no more than academic ya..?
"They attack Dr Mahathir or Najib, depending on which side they were on, not really because of the country or the party, but because they got something to gain if their side wins."
Taking it per se, it sounds clearly from the latter-half that you yourself are alleging matters, si? Have you proof to substantiate this?
Before, the 'allegation of 1MDB's missing/unaccounted RM26-27Bill' may not had stuck.
However, the facts about the RM2.6Bill-into-DSN Acct is established. Not a single REBUTTAL 'til today. MACC dah certify pun kan..
Thus, the above RM2.6Bill matter alone is clearly a case of corruption. You have read MACC Act? Or at least privy to UMNO's Constitution? If YES, please offer to correct my/our 'perception/understanding' that 'DONATION' is LEGAL by MACC. Then, please point to where in UMNO's Perlembagaan that states its President can accept 'funds/donation' into his PRIVATE Acct.
Ada some 'side-Agreement viz Supreme Council'? Please adduce said document.
If takdak, then it is an OFFENSE/CRIME of CORRUPTION kan..? By this stage, nak deem it as 'allegation' lagi?
Or still refuse to accept...
So really then, what was the substance of that lady's anger?
You have the right to comment here but if you call me names and insult me, then I reserve my right to spike off your comment or call you a rude person. Sometimes I can take it but there are times when I would not be in a mood to tolerate the nonsense.
As for Dr Mahathir being an old man - what did your parents told you about respecting your elders? If you want more details on how I see Dr Mahathir, please read my past comments about him. Go to this blog's search button and write MAHATHIR.
As for the lady, it was as I had written. I'm not in the business of provoking people into a debate but sometimes I do advice people to cool off.
As for those involved in the fight doing it for personal vested interest, I know some of them and most are doing it for that reason. Bear in mind that I said BOTH sides.
As for the rest of your comment, that's for the other readers of this blog to judge.
I don't normally respond to comments, but in your case I decided to do so because you visit this blog quite often and therefore I think once in a while you deserve a reply.
'That's the sad reality of this ongoing Umno civil war.Delete

You said it.UMNO members angry with each other.Friends becoming unfriends . Even families are split.Really I tell you. Both sides are angry because each claim the other gets angry first.
Apa punya bodoh la ..semua melayu pulak .Nasib baik aku Jawa.
Siji loro telu papat..melayu lari jowo dapattt...

Ghaz anon 11:48..kau ni memang kurang ajar la bro. Adeke paki NEINA kau cakap..orang duk usha sikit punya lama...Delete
Humbly, I believe your use of the word 'rude' is directed to Anon 11:48 yes..
Similarly, name-calling or insults is beyond me. As I'm certain my previous comments demonstrates. I'm NOT manufactured to that spec, awfully sorry..
If anything, I've consistently inferred that such a domain / platform as this, ought to be inter-active...with a pleasant blend of 'humor'? 'Coz really, kekadang you 'bunyi' kartun and/or manja-bebudak pun ader..
I had read your MAHATHIR post. I do (try to..) keep track of your 'way of thinking' in an effort to understand What/Why you write the way you do..
Thus e.g in this posting of yours, I cannot be faulted for forming my own opinion, as rightfully neither can you be.
All in all it's quite simple really. Owing to the fact that this is NOT a face-to-face interaction; typed-words can easily be taken 'not-positively', offensive even.. For e.g again Anon 11:48 above. Now I'm not defending, but He/She struck you firstly as rude. Cuba kalau f-2-f, could it be possible that he/she may be MOCKING instead..? Mind you, I've seen even worse (derogatory, profanities, semua-adaaa..) Anon-comments that you had allowed in your previous postings.
I suppose 'MAAF-jika-terkasar-bahasa' is due.
PS Anon 17:24,
Lillahi Ta'ala, maaf sangat2.. I have absolutely NO IDEA what you're referring to..
re , The way I see it most people on both side have somethings at stake or score to settle .
not really for the country or the party .
Annie , That could be true for people like Mat Maslan ,Said keruak or even Zahid Hamidi . but what could the rest of us gain ,for Najib to remain in power ,what we can see is the worst to come .
If UMNO members uphold the party first ,they should get rids ,those leaders that could destroy the party ,not calling for a rally to show support to those so called leaders.
Menegakan maruah pemimpin yang telah menjatohkan maruah .
For those who support "the old man ' what could we gain from it except , mencari kebenaran .
Please. No side show. FOCUS.
The only show in town is Najib's corruption. Even Saddam and Hitler have their supporters.
Najib is corrupt. The question is how to drag him to court..........
Wow! I like the new look of Annie's blog. The colours. Nice. Eh, you know the identity of your visitors ah? Like, you said Ghaz is a regular. How come mine doesn't show who my readers are? It only shows readers are directed from google.com.my, sometimes google.com.sg. I don't know who my readers are.ReplyDelete
