Just a dad's story

Someone called me up yesterday to check whether I'm still alive.

Very nice of him.

He was wondering so because I have not been writing since Saturday.

Just a few days lah....and I've released the comments you all posted here.

Really, there's nothing much worthwhile to write these past few days.

Furthermore, I'm still not feeling very well and got a bit of work to do.

Lack motivation also.

Well, I like writing happy stuff or writing about things that make me happy.

Consider that and the current political situation, I don't really have much to write about, okay.

Whacking Dr Mahathir who did so much for the country doesn't make me happy.

Whacking Najib who is leading the establishment which I support all these while also doesn't make me happy.

So, it's like a bit difficult.

And the other people are mostly making themselves so inconsequential to me.

They talked rubbish too much.

Well, I can't be writing about my love life all the time.

Actually, that one full of garbage too.

Bloody headache only.

Sigh.

See, I'm rambling again.

Sorry, I think I'm wasting your time reading this.

That's why I don't simply write these days.

Anyway, I better put something worthwhile in this post.

Okay, this is for my mom, who is looking after my grandpa now....

Be strong and patient Ma.

I pray to Allah for everything to be alright.

  3. Annie,

It is always difficult for everybody when an elderly person requires extensive one-to-one care.

Believe me, I know because I looked after my elderly father for about 10 weeks on my own - cook, wash, clean, everything, up at 5a.m., in bed by 10.p.m., etc etc.

Please do remind your mother that she has to look after herself as well.

It seems RPK's Yoda-eared offspring is also on the gravy train, thanks to daddy. But daddy doesn't bother checking girlie's work, clearly, like knowing the difference between "advice" and "advise", and ummmm, the lack of intellect on display. Genetic, I presume.

  9. THE MAN WHO WANTS TO "VET" MUSLIMS?

Apparently Trump’s famed “extreme vetting” of Muslims didn’t extend to Najib.

The Malaysian premier is currently the subject of an investigation by the US Justice Department’s Kleptocracy Unit for the theft of up to US$1 billion from the Malaysian government-backed 1Malaysia Development Bhd. investment fund. Earlier, during the administration of Barack Obama, Najib was a presidential favorite under the perception that he was a moderate Muslim leader and a regional powerhouse. The Malaysian prime minister was invited to play golf in Hawaii with Obama before word filtered up about the fact that he was involved in what appears to be the biggest scandal in Malaysian history. That ended Najib’s cozy relationship with the then president.

In July 2016 US federal prosecutors issued a 136-page document alleging that “over the course of an approximately four year period, between approximately 2009 and at least 2013, multiple individuals, including public officials and their associates, conspired to fraudulently divert billions of dollars from 1MDB through various means, including by defrauding foreign banks and by sending foreign wire communications in furtherance of the scheme, and thereafter, to launder the proceeds of that criminal conduct, including and through US financial institutions.

“The funds diverted from 1MDB were used for the personal benefit of the co-conspirators and their relatives and associates, including to purchase luxury real estate in the United States, pay gambling expenses in Las Vegas casinos, acquire more than US$100 million in artwork, invest in a major New York development project, and fund the production of major Hollywood films. 1MDB maintained no interest in these assets and saw no returns on these investments.”

As is customary, the US Justice Department had no comment on the progress of its continuing investigation into assets believed to have been stolen by the family or their associates.

Despite that, Najib and his cronies in the United Malays National Organization, the country’s biggest political party, have insulated themselves from loss of leadership of the country primarily by bribing the 190-odd cadres who determine the leadership of UMNO to keep him in power.

The Forex fiasco? Did Tun Siti Hasmah end up buying diamonds and Chanel with public money on an SRC credit card? Did any anak tiri of Tun make porn movies with stolen cash?

This is not about winning elections, it's about right and wrong.

Maybe kafir like you don't understand it.

Stick to anuses, if you don't get it (and you clearly don't.)

Ingatlah wahai orang Melayu betapa beruntung kita.
