Many had of late commented in this blog that PM DS Najib Razak should be replaced due to the perceived weaknesses of his administration.
I believe these commenters are pro-BN.
Pro-Pakatan commenters who came here normally would just bashed BN and calling its leaders names. They just want Anwar Ibrahim as PM...or Lim Guan Eng.
But does the Najib's administration is so flawed that it need to be replaced?
Is Najib really a bad man?
Okay, for instance, on the latest price hike issue, do you think Najib is so evil that he purposely caused the price of goods to go up so that the people suffer?
I honestly don't think so.
I feel that the government really need to cut down on spending in subsidies as all these while we are living in an artificial comfort zone. The country simply could not afford to continue that way.
I don't think Najib is doing what he is doing now so that his wife can use the rakyat money to buy a new Birkin handbag.
Those Rosmah's handbags, I believe, were bought using his own money. Najib is not exactly a poor man in the first place.
Najib really love his wife. If he has the money and want to buy his wife a handbag, then let him be lah. I can understand that.
Well, of course Najib need to trim down the spending on such things as paying for all those stupid consultants. I agree with that.
That, he needs to do as soon as possible. Otherwise, it will be difficult for even his most ardent supporters to defend him.
It will actually be a pity if Najib is to be replaced.
He is arguably the nicest PM Malaysia has ever had. Yes, he is even nicer than Tun Hussein Onn and Pak Lah. He is after all the one who get rid of the ISA and doing his best to liberalize the country.
He tried to be a PM for all.
Just the other day a Chinese DAP supporter forwarded me a Facebook posting by Singapore's Lee Hsien Loong on how he spend time with the family of a lady whose hand was crushed by a machine in a work related accident. She told me that Najib need to do more of such things.
I told her that the PM had done all that but people like her still want Anwar to replace him.
"He had done all he can to be a friend of the Chinese, yet they still spat in his face. Now the Malays want him out because they feel that he was being too friendly with the Chinese," I told her.
I still feel Najib is the best choice as our PM for now.
He is definitely nicer and more sincere that the likes of Anwar, Guan Eng and Hadi Awang put together.
I also think that he is a better leader than that of his potential replacements - TS Muhyiddin Yassin, DS Zahid Hamidi, DS Hishammuddin Hussein and DS Shafie Apdal.
Now, if only he can tighten up his ship a bit more. Be focused and he surely can do what he intended to do.
As for now, first and foremost, I feel that Najib needs to restore confidence among BN supporters that he could last the mile until GE14.
I wish him the best and hope that he will succeed.

Datuk Najib, it is now or never
Okay, let's face it, at the current rate things are going, Barisan Nasional is set to lose in GE14.
It was so obvious.
My observations indicated that so many die hard BN supporters are abandoning the ship. They did not jump to the Pakatan ship but instead rather took a plunge into apathy.
"Aku frust sangat dengan apa yang berlaku sekarang ni. Aku tak nak mengundi dah. BN aku dah menyampah, Pakatan aku benci dari dulu lagi. Apa nak jadi, jadi lah, Aku tak nak peduli," said a friend who took the trouble of going back to her hometown by bus to vote for BN in GE13.
And in some instances, others such as her, even took pot shots at the captain of the ship.
Some of my fellow pro-BN bloggers had also of late been openly attacking the Prime Minister.
The man can't even go for a toilet break without being whacked...and that is by BN supporters, not those of the opposition.
Their writings, which painted such an ugly picture of DS Najib Razak went viral and repeatedly quoted by even the pro-Parkatan portals.
Former senior pro-BN journalist whacking Najib for going on holiday is a big item for those portals. Of course it get published.
It's free bullets for them.
Why there are so much unhappiness among these BN supporters?
They said there were too many screwed ups in Putrajaya.
It is something I have to agree with them.
But I'm sure Najib has realized by now that something is really wrong with the people around him that BN supporters are deserting in large number ever since GE13, particularly after the status quo results of the Umno elections.
He must have by now assessed the situation and came out with a game plan in hand to turn the tide.
The man could not be so dumb as not to see through the crisis and doing something about it.
One of his senior aide told me yesterday that Najib will indeed improve things within the next few months.
He told me to be patient and convey to others a message that Najib will correct those wrongs, perceived or real.
"What we need to do now is to stay united. We are facing a bigger threat. Agama , bangsa dan negara kita dalam keadaan terancam. We have to defend Islam and the interests of the Malays first. It will do us no good if we can't stay together in the face of this threat."
This aide of the PM is a good man. I know him for many years. I want to trust him so much.
But at the same time, I am also hoping for changes to happen very soon in Putrajaya.
It simply shouldn't go on like this.
Najib can start by sacking all those pro-Pakatan Pemandu staff who "sacked" him the other day. You can read it here :
BREAKING NEWS! Najib Razak sacked?
That was so blatant, after all.
If he can shut down the whole bloody useless thing, that would be better.
Come on la, everyone with a clear vision should know who are these traitors.
They are also so many of them in the GLCs. Petronas in particular. Heck, they should even check the PMO.
Datuk Najib, the time of being nice has long gone.
I'm waiting for your moves.
If you fail to move, then it will be game over, and what a pity it would be.

"Allah" may become a name of Anak Bangsa Malaysia
Yesterday, reports from several churches around Selangor indicated that services had been held with the word "Allah" being used in reference to the Christian god.
A friend who met me after attending his church service proudly told me that the priest had made it a point to use the word.
He said the Christian community knows that the authorities would not dare to implement the laws which prohibit the use of the word "Allah" by Christians. and other non-muslims.
"They wouldn't dare, as if they do so, they will lose the support of Christians among the bumiputera of Sabah and Sarawak," he said.
It has become obvious from yesterday that the churches do not care about the Court of Appeal's decision on the matter and the recent decree by the Sultan of Selangor that the word "Allah" is exclusively to be used by Muslims in his State.
The raid last week by Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor where 300 copies of the Bahasa Malaysia Bible were confiscated had served as the trigger point in this latest round of "Allah" issue polemic.
It is an issue being kept alive and reheated by DAP starting with the Lim Guan Eng's Christmas message of 2012 which was aimed at winning the crucial Sabah and Sarawak Christian bumiputera voters bank.
It has now becoming some sorts of a crusade among a large segment of Christians led by the evangelists of DAP such as Selangor state assembly speaker Hannah Yeoh, Teresa Kok, Tony Pua, the Ngah cousins of Perak etc.
Surreptitiously backed by powerful media organizations such as The Star, this movement which ultimate aim is to be the actual power behind the throne after the demise of Umno and its BN allies feel that they are now strong enough to go even against the Sultan of Selangor by not heeding to his decree.
They believe that they can get away with it.
Their thinking as articulated by my friend was that, if the authorities dare to act against them, the wrath of the international community will hit this country in the form of economic sanctions or even military intervention.
A Muslim majority country oppressing its minority Christians - that will be the new international label of Malaysia. A pariah nation, which should be bombed to stone age, or so they believe.
In a way, they were right. The authorities wouldn't and shouldn't act recklessly on their acts of provocation.
I'm counting on the authorities to be cool in handling this issue.
However, the law must be abided and those who break it must be punished.
The rule of law must prevail. Otherwise, what is the point of having the laws in the first place.
Those who break the laws must be punished, sooner or later.
Actually, there was no reason for them to go through this divisive argument, except that they had actually meant it as a political tool to win elections and gain power in this country.
If they were sincere, they could get what they want through proper legal means.
If they really want to change things in this country, then they must abide by the laws by getting enough of themselves as law makers at the polls.
The DAP evangelists must convince their Malay Muslims allies in PKR and Pas to go along with them to win enough seats to rule the country and then change the laws which they feel are being repressive of their rights as Christians.
They can then enact the law which among others will allow the word "Allah" to be used by the Christians.
I am sure Anwar Ibrahim will be able to convince the Malay Muslims of PKR to go along with this idea. Mat Sabu definitely could convince the Pas people to do the same.
Heck, they can even then enact a law allowing parents to name their children "Allah".
I know that Hannah Yeoh may be interested in naming her next baby as "Allah".
It sounds quite nice and could be categorized as a Bangsa Malaysia name.
Well, Hannah, you interested or not? After all, some Christians are known to have named their child Jesus. Why not "Allah" then?
You wear tudung once in a while and then name your next child "Allah" and I'm sure you can win more Malay votes in the next election.

What to do in face of hardship
It is Saturday night again, but as usual, I'm at home minding my own self.
I went out earlier in the day though.
Went to the cinema at Citta Mall in Subang and watched 47 Ronins.
It's an awful movie.
The star of the movie is Keanu Reeves, the most successful "wooden" actor ever.
The guy can't act to save his life, but I always try to catch his movies.
No, it's not because of his good look.
It's actually because Keanu is a good man. He does a lot of charity works and I like him for that.
I think some of the proceeds of those movie tickets I bought to watch his movies must had gone to charity via him.
He is also my mother's favorite actor...for I don't know what reason.
Well, I choose my favorite men not solely based on meritocracy. I don't like assholes no matter how good they are at what they are doing.
Whatever it is, Keanu's movies mostly have nice action stuff. So, they are still watchable.
Anyway, before the movie, I went to the Tomaz shoe shop at the mall and bought myself a pair.
It's a local brand but of relatively high quality. The leather is so soft.
The price is quite cheap considering the good quality and nice designs of the shoes. It's almost half the price of those imported of the same quality.
I was told by the salesgirl that the shoes were made at Seri Kembangan.
I think the people who are bitching about price hikes while hanging out at places like Bangsar Village or Bangsar Shopping Complex should consider switching to such good quality local items from the over priced designer imports.
I always find it disturbing when people wearing imported branded items and eating at posh eateries complaining of hardship.
Someone driving an over RM100k imported car claiming hardship because of 20 sen petrol price hike should be kicked in the butt.
The same way a guy who is being chauffeured around in a RM300k car bought using taxpayers money, shouldn't be going around claiming himself to be a second, third, fourth, fifth class citizen.
Then claim hardship some more....
You got the drift or not MR LIM GUAN BENZ?

Guan Eng and his new Mercedes Benz
So, handsome boy Guan Eng has a new car and a lot of people are jealous of him.
So much hue and cry.
Poor boy had to defend himself and the car.
These were his defense,
1. The Mercedes was purchased after a state executive council meeting, that took into account safety and security of state leaders.
6. The state executive councillors had initially wanted to replace their old Proton Perdanas with Mercedes cars instead of Toyota Camrys.
Actually, I don't agree that a Chief Minister should have to defend himself and his car like that.
So much hue and cry.
Poor boy had to defend himself and the car.
These were his defense,
1. The Mercedes was purchased after a state executive council meeting, that took into account safety and security of state leaders.
2. The car was worth the money for long-term purchase.
3. It belongs to the state and will likely serve the next chief minister.
4. A Mercedes' maintenance in the long run was better than a Proton.
5. It was exempted from tax and was given a special discount.
6. The state executive councillors had initially wanted to replace their old Proton Perdanas with Mercedes cars instead of Toyota Camrys.
You can read the report here,
Guan Eng defends decision to buy new Mercedes-Benz
and judge for yourselves whether his defense holds water or just a damage control exercise.
My conclusions from Guan Eng's excuses,
1. You want to be safe on the road, buy Mercedes Benz
2. People with Mercedes Benz think long term
3. Next Penang CM likely be driven around in Mercedes Benz too.
4. A Mercedes Benz is cheaper to own than Proton.
5. Companies which sell Mercedes Benz are keen to give (special discounts with no strings attached).
6. People in Penang love Mercedes Benz.
It's kinda pathetic.
Guan Eng should just ignore the hue and cry.
I don't think he has anything to fear because no matter what he does, he will still have the support of the Chinese community.
In fact, even if the Penang government had bought him a Rolls Royce, Guan Eng should not fear losing the over 90 per cent Chinese community's support that DAP won in GE13.
After all he needs a car to match all those taikors who sponsored his party's campaign in Penang in the run up to GE13.
He is untouchable.
He may even paint the Mercedes Benz the colors of Rainbow and will still get the undying majority support of the Chinese community.
If the likes of Anwar Ibrahim and Mustapa Ali can get away with almost anything, why not Guan Eng, isn't it?
Anyway, are you still flying economy class Guan Eng?

Starting 2014
It's been quite a few days since my last posting.
I needed the rest.
Went to somewhere quiet and spend the days mostly sleeping and catching up on my readings.
But I did observe the happenings at the closing of 2013, the year which I think should be remembered as the most politically exhaustive for Malaysians.
Was tempted to write my thoughts on the new year eve protests, but decided not to as I want to start 2014 with a peace of mind.
I also saw the turn of events in Johor the past few days with sadness in my heart.
I wish I could write more about those things but then told myself not to waste my time as no good would come out of it.
Here is one of the Johor stories which made me sad,
Ex-Johor Sultanah files to annul divorce from late Ruler
I know her youngest daughter, a very nice and humble young lady.
I'm still in the auto-pilot mode and have no intention of going straight into heavy stuff with my postings.
Whatever it is I hope this new year will be good for all good Malaysians.
Less politics, I hope.
Yes, I know there is the recent price hike of essential items. But let's be positive. I don't think any Malaysian will suffer from starvation anytime soon because of these price hikes. Things are not going to be all that bad if we refuse to be overwhelmed by it.
Note: Seditious comments will not be published.

Bitching in sadness
Just can't sleep.
Remembering someone.
The bastard died on me.
I'm playing this song is in remembrance of my lost love.
Now I have to settle for a Chinese DAP supporter with double chin. Life can be a real bitch.
Politics?
No politics today.
Who cares anyway.
We all Malaysians are just a spoilt lot.
A bit of price hikes here and there and we start bitching till no end.
Drive an over RM100k car and bitching about 20 sen petrol price hike.
Drinking cappuccino at posh cafe in Bangsar and complaining about no more sugar subsidy.
Go on overseas vacations twice a year and moaning over the kids' more expensive school bus fares.
Etc etc etc....bitching, bitching, bitching....
Yea, go ahead, go worship the likes of Guan Eng, Tony Pua, Hannah Yeoh, Teresa Kok etc etc...
Everything will be free once they take over.
And Pas members, trust me, those DAP evangelists will soon memeluk agama Islam. Tak percaya, tanya Nik Aziz.
Yea, yea, yea, also Anwar will make a great prime minister who will turn this country into the greatest country in the world....like Singapore.
Go ahead, vote Pakatan. As if I give a flying shit.
Excuse me. Today I'm just fed up with all your bitching....and my bitching too.
