A Malaysian extremist's story

In my last posting,

Malaysians need to shun the real extremists among them

a commenter wrote this

Remember Amanat Hj Hadi that label Umno kafir ? That is extremist act and We are liteyears ahead lar. Hj Badi never retracted his amanat gila. Remember CN Al Afghani was so obsessed wt the amanat, he went to Afghanistan n fought there. Upon return home, he plotted Tun M murder plan n earned him tiket to Kamunting. So if u want to check terrorism here, talk to hj badi first ok. And the bangang guy had repealed ISA pula.

and then another commenter added,

Cikgu Non repents and reveals the Hypocrisy of the TAKFIRI fatwa of Amanat Hadi Awang

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Hxyc3CE2ZQ

I think I need to make it clearer what these commenters were talking about as many, especially the younger ones, particularly the non-Malays or non-Muslims may not be aware or have any knowledge about what were being said,

1. This is Amanat Haji Hadi

Saudara-saudara sekelian percayalah,
Kita menentang UMNO, bukan kerana nama dia UMNO. Kita menentang Barisan Nasional bukan kerana dia lama memerintah kerajaan. Kita menentang dia ialah kerana dia mengekalkan perlembagaan penjajah, mengekalkan undang-undang kafir, mengekalkan peraturan jahiliyah. Oleh kerana itulah kita menentang mereka. Oleh kerana itulah kita menghadapi mereka. Oleh itulah kita cuba berlawan dengan mereka.

Percayalah saudara-saudara sekelian,

2. This is CN Al Afghani

His real name is Zainon Ahmad and hails from Baling Kedah.

Then a hardcore supporter of Pas, he went to Afghanistan in the 1980s and fought with the mujahideen there against the Soviet occupation.

He was among scores of Malaysians in the mujahideen rank.

When they came back to Malaysia, and despite returning to normal life, they set up their own organization called Kumpulan Mujahideen Malaysia.

The head of the organization is Nik Adli, the son of Pas spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat. Nik Adli is also an Afghan War veteran.

The armed wing of the organization was Kumpulan Militant Malaysia headed by Zulkifli Abdul Khir aka Marwan, who is currently the most wanted terror suspect in the region.

While Zulkifli is being hunted down for his role in several jihadist-related activities, Zainon, along with Nik Adli and the rest of the Malaysian Afghan War veterans were arrested under the ISA right after the 9-11 terror attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York and the Pentagon.

Zainon and the rest were kept under the ISA detention for about two years. It was arguably what saved them from suffering the same fate as Zulkifli, whose story you can read here,

The untold story of Zulkifli Abdul Khir

As for Zainon, you can read his online book here,

KAFIRKAH AKU

And this is the video of Zainon talking about his experience as an extremist,

Malaysians need to shun the real extremists among them (updated)

UPDATES

The injured French policeman seen executed without mercy by one of the gunmen in the Paris attack turned out to be a Muslim,

ORIGINAL POST

The gunmen attack in Paris which left twelve people, including two policemen dead yesterday was perhaps scarier than other recent acts of terror due to the cold bloodedness of the perpetrators.

Here is the picture of one of the gunmen aiming his AK-47 assault rifle at an injured policeman who was obviously pleading for his life.

The gunman just shot the policeman in the head.

The murderers, clad in all black, were immediately suspected as affiliated or at least supporters of the notorious Islamic State (IS) group, now waging their brand of jihad in Syria and Iraq.

IS members were known to be dressed in all black combat gear and reputedly had shown no mercy for their enemies.

The latest news on the attack as I am writing this is,

Two suspects in Paris attack 'located'

The suspects who are brothers had likely committed the heinous attack due to their belief that their target, the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo had insulted Islam.

IS brutal conduct in the battlefields of Syria and Iraq could had inspired them to act with such barbarity during the attack.

Though I myself don't take kindly when Islam is being insulted, I want to strongly state here that reacting the way the brothers did is definitely wrong and should be condemned.

That is not how Islam should be defended.

Now, if it is true that the brothers were indeed members of the IS or its supporters, then we in Malaysia should be concerned about the possibility of such act of violence occurring here too.

Malaysians are known to have joined IS, fought with them and some had even known to die in combat.

Here is a video of a group of Malaysian IS fighters,

And this is a video of one of them who was killed in battle being lionized as an Islamic hero,

I believe the government should do more to curb the influence of IS in this country if similar incident in Paris is to be avoided.

We all talk a lot about curbing the extremists and fanatics these days. Well, this is our chance to act on it.

I hope for Malaysians to reject the brand of extremism and fanaticism such as that of IS and those who support the group in this country.

Do check as to who are these Malaysian IS fighters and reject anyone or any organization who sympathize with them.

Are they from Perkasa or Isma, which had been depicted by especially the non-Muslims of this country as extremists and fanatics?

If they are, then those group must be shunned by all Malaysians.

I want to also state my disagreement with this "celebrity ustaz" who seems to be sympathetic to IS,

Najib's people need to be smarter

This is what I saw in Utusan Malaysia today,

The first story is about Umno supreme council member Datuk Mohd Puad Zarkashi whacking senior journalist and blogger Datuk A Kadir Jasin for criticizing PM DS Najib Razak.

Kritik Najib, jatuhkan BN

The second story is about a PKR dude calling for the MACC to investigate former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin for allegedly accumulating wealth by illegal means. However I can't seem to find the link to that story. This call for Daim to be investigated by MACC had been repeatedly made by PKR people and the stories have been published by Utusan and other mainstream media since early last year. Here is a link to a similar story as the one in Utusan today,

Dedah segera hasil siasatan kes Tun Daim

Two things I want to say here,

1. Najib's people seriously need someone better than Puad as their spokesman in defending their boss.

This is what I think of Puad,

Seriously, do Najib's people think Puad's words carry much weight?

Do they think Puad can win if they field him again in Batu Pahat in the next general election?

People like Puad are the ones who make me feel like giving up on Umno and BN, seriously.

2. Okay, Daim has been critical of Najib's administration. Some in the PM's camp must had marked him as leading the ongoing rebellion.

But the guy is really old and not well.

I don't think it's necessary for Utusan to repeatedly publish statements by PKR people to whack him.

It's just not right.

In fact, I think it's stupid to do that.

I think Najib's people need to rethink their strategy.

Chinese, can you all sympathize with Najib?

Someone forwarded me this article in a pro-Pakatan publication,

Another year of hope or despair?

I was asked to comment on it.

Actually, I didn't find anything remarkable about the article.

It's the usual whining about how this country is going down the drain under the present establishment.

I think the whole length of the article was only meant to ask these questions in the last paragraph,

Central to the Bumiputra agenda are four measures: increasing equity ownership of Bumiputras; strengthening Bumiputra entrepreneurship; financing Bumiputra SMEs; developing Bumiputra human capital. So, where do non-Bumiputras figure in the “people economy”? Where do the 23% Chinese and 7% Indians go from here as we start the new year – a year of hope or just another year of alienating Bumiputras from non-Bumipuras, and pitting Muslims against Christians?

It's actually a reminder to non-Bumiputera of the alleged unfairness of the BN government to them.

The writer is basically telling them that,

- the government doesn't care whether the non-Bumiputra have a place in the "people economy".

- the government is alienating the non-Bumiputera.

- the government is against Christians by pitting the Muslims against them.

Of course the writer wrote all these accusations accompanied by question marks to mask his real intent, that is to instigate the non-Bumiputera against the BN government (or to be more exact, the Malays represented by Umno).

It's the usual DAP's tactic of casting the stone first and then hiding the hand as they play the racial card of hate politics.

It's the same tactics used by DAP sec-general Lim Guan Eng when he told the Chinese that they are the second, third, fourth and fifth class citizens.

It's the same tactics which triggered the Chinese tsunami of May 2013.

Once the other side retaliates, they will turn around and accuse them of being racists, extremists etc.

Seriously, do you think the government will not help the Chinese and Indians if they are lagging behind the Bumiputera?

Are the BN government and Umno evil people feeding the Christians to the lions?

Are the Christians the worst off among the minority groups?

I don't think so.

The Bumiputera is still the poorest among the ethnic groups in this country.

Yes, overall, they are still lagging behind even the Indians.

Was the government supposed to ignore the needs of the Malays and other Bumiputera whilst they are the ones who form the core support of BN?

Can you all imagine what would happened if the government just do that to further please the more economically advanced Chinese?

PM DS Najib Razak is actually being accused of trying too hard to please the Chinese.

That's a fact.

Despite all the pro-Bumiputera policies that he initiated of late, he is still being accused of pandering too much to the Chinese.

In fact, the rebellion against him is building up within his own party, thanks largely due to his moderate approach and accommodating attitude for the needs of all races, including the Chinese.

Do the Chinese realize this?

Do they feel any sympathy for the beleaguered Najib who has been trying so hard to give them what they want?

Based on what happened during the 13th general election in 2013, I don't think they care much for Najib.

I think they rather spat on him again.

They had spat on him and other moderate Malay Umno leaders on that fateful May 5 2013.

They prefer the Pas people, because they thought it's more beneficial to support the DAP's Islamist ally for their community's interests.

Now they are crying foul when especially Malays talk about the need for themselves to unite for their community's interests and become more Islamic to strengthen their resolves.

They are now clamoring for the Malays to uphold moderate values.

Of course, they do not say the same about themselves.

To them the only fanatics, extremists, and racists in this country are the Malays.

The Chinese are all moderates.

That include second class citizen Lim Guan Eng despite him being the one who pour petrol over the fire of the kalimah Allah issue with his Christmas message of 2012.

That, just so that the Christians of Sabah and Sarawak are to side with his party.

Anyway, I don't think that the BN government has ever taken away anything that belong to the Chinese to enrich the Malays.

Definitely not, under Najib's leadership.

If the Chinese are suffering, I believe they can still make their case to the government and I believe they will get help.

That was what the MCA had ensured.

The Chinese are still the richest ethnic group in this country despite the BN government's policy of helping the Bumiputera more.

I believe they will remain so, as long as this country still exist.

Post-flood trauma causing me to write nonsense

(Caution: Reading this will waste your time, seriously.)

It is past 3.30am and I still can't sleep.

So decided to write a bit.

Today I plan to rest properly.

Extremely tired after running around for a week because of the flood.

Hopefully nothing major is going to happen.

Honestly, I wish I can stay here and not having to go back to KL.

It's peaceful here unlike in KL.

But of course I will have to go back.

I need to work.

Otherwise, who is going to feed me.

I actually love my job but I no longer like the place where I work.

I don't feel that I belong there anymore.

Too much office politics.

I really have no energy for such bullshit.

But for now, I have to endure it.

Promised someone that I will endure it.

It's my responsibility to hang on.

Nonetheless, if things turned really bad, I will have to look for another job.

There is only so much that I can do.

After all, life in KL actually really sucks.

I hate the traffic jam, rude people, polluted air, etc.

The only thing that makes it bearable is the occasional moment of happiness I have whenever I meet that DAP-supporting bastard.

Even that is only once or, if I am lucky, twice a week.

Sometimes I don't even get to see him for a whole month.

He sometimes prefers to go to the gym after work rather than have dinner with me.

I know, really pathetic.

Can't help myself though.

The guy looks something like this....

I bluffed when previously I wrote that he is fat and ugly.

That was when I was really pissed off with him.

Previously I tried to dump him, but it only lasted a week.

He called and I just melted....I know, it's disgusting.

Okay....I am just rambling.

Just writing whatever that crosses my mind at the moment.

Sorry for wasting your time reading this nonsense of mine.

However, please excuse me.

I write like this only once in a while.

It's sorts of a therapy for me.

For proper serious political read, I recommend this one for you all,

Perseverance

I am going to try to sleep now.

Alhamdulillah, the worst seems over

The floods are receding almost everywhere now.

The only areas still on alert are those along Sungai Pahang, namely Temerloh, Maran and Pekan.

Water coming down from upstream is delaying the closure of relief centers there.

I however don't expect the flood to worsen though.

The authorities had done well to deepen the estuary of the river, enabling water to flow out to sea rather smoothly instead of inundating areas along its banks too badly.

Hopefully, the over 45,000 evacuees still at relief centers, particularly in those areas in Pahang will get to go home within the next two or three days.

The East Coast Expressway which had been mostly closed since a few days ago had been fully opened at midnight just now.

I believe the worst is over.

It was indeed a terrible flood but all things considered, thanks to Allah that the number of fatalities was relatively low.

As pointed out by someone to me, even the stampede at the Bund in Shanghai on New Year Day caused more deaths than the worst floods in our country in 30 years.

Kudos to all who were involved in the rescue and relief operations.

Special salute to our men and women in uniform who risked their life to ensure the safety of the flood victims and relatively smooth delivery of relief supplies to them.

I will rest a bit before going back to KL.

I am glad that I did manage to do some good here this time.

The most satisfying was when I successfully got some help from the authorities for a group of flood evacuees who were stranded at a place which was not designated as a flood relief centre.

They were there without any help from the authorities for almost a week before I met them.

For the record, it was not really the fault of the authorities. The group of flood victims were overlooked because of the place they had sought refuge.

I can't tell the details here though as it will blow my cover.

I also want to record here my special appreciation to Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah for his efforts to help the flood victims in his state.

I was fortunate to bump into him during one of his daily rounds to check on the flood victims and was impressed by the way he carries himself and the real help he gave to the flood victims.

My hope now is for the recovery process to go smoothly and continuos assistance be given to the victims till their life return back to normal.

May 2015 be a safe year for Malaysia

I missed my deadline to do a wrap-up post for 2014.

Was too busy running around where I am here yesterday.

Only reached my base about mid-night.

As you all already know, and commented by other bloggers, last year was perhaps the worst year ever experienced by Malaysia.

There were MH370, MH17, QZ8501, the devastating floods, and many other tragedies and disasters.

Hopefully this new year will be much better for this country.

Honestly, I find it difficult to even wish Happy New Year while here at this flood devastated place where I am now.

Last night, as the clock strikes midnight, I just sent messages of Selamat Tahun Baru to my friends and colleagues who wished me a happy new year.

I felt that Selamat was more apt than Happy, considering what we went through in 2014.

My personal wish for this year is for Malaysia to be more safe.

Tak berapa happy pun tak apa. Janji semua selamat.

As for politics (since this is a sopo blog), I hope for everyone to be more rational as we continue to battle it out with each other.

We really should cut down with the politics of hate, which plays on racial and religious sentiments, only to invite the same kind of retaliation from the other side.

I am also hoping for PM DS Najib Razak to quickly tidy up his administration and Umno by getting rid of all those leeches and other crooks who are sucking the blood life of the government and the party.

I do not wish him to be toppled but at the same time I will not want to fight for him if all those bastards are still there and calling the shots.

I will also try to be fair in this blog and write with all the sincerity in my heart.

For the past few days I have been receiving some brickbats for defending Najib over the flood issue.

Those thrown at me by friends are the most hurtful, but I had told myself that I need to be fair to the PM as the way he was being demonized for allegedly not caring enough for the flood victims was wrong.

I don't believe Najib is so heartless that he doesn't sincerely care about the flood victims.

I had personally witnessed him in action during the terrible flood in 2006 which devastated his Pekan constituency, and I am certain that he really care for the victims.

As I had written in a previous post, I believe that he tried his best but was unfortunate that the flood only worsen after he had left for US.

Let me also put it on record here that I disagree with quite a number of his policies and the way he handled issues.

For instance, I disagree with things such as 1MDB, BR1M and the use of mercenary consultants to run the government.

I also resented Najib for appointing DS Mohd Khaled Nordin as the MB of my home state Johor as the guy doesn't seem to have a backbone to handle the administration of the state or even stop his own people from doing all sorts of nonsense.

If those who want to topple Najib attacked him based on those issues, then I will not want to quarrel with them.

But I will disagree for the PM be demonized by way of falsehood and smear campaign.

Najib may not be as good a PM as Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad but he is not a heartless evil dictator, okay.

I will be where I am now for a few more days.

That is until my leave ends.

The floods seem to be improving as of today.

Hopefully, there will not be a second, third and fourth waves of floods later on.

Okay, I need to go out there now and do my stuff.

You all stay safe please.

Take care.
