Simple GE14 plan

According to Bernama,

Najib Indicates Election May Be In July

I think that's very logical.

It's almost pushing it till the end of the August deadline. Something like the last GE in 2013.

That's almost half a year from now.

I wish it could be earlier but July is okay with me.

Early enough for me to go on my much delayed travel later in the year.

Well, I expect things to really hot up from now on.

Ceramah here,  gatherings there....etc.

All the dirt throwing will intensify too.

Unlike during the last election, I'm not planning to take active part this time.

The most that I'll do is to comment a bit on things in this blog.

I'm not even sure yet whether I'll drive down to Johor to vote.

If I do, I'll decide whom my vote for on polling day itself.

If I'm happy with things, I'll vote BN. If I'm unhappy with things, I'll vote Pakatan.

Simple.

Actually, I'm tired of listening to the arguments of both sides.

Tired of them too.

Some simply simply hantam me just because I refused to follow their side.

So cocky in their belief that they were right all the time.

Chill people.

It's just politics, okay.

So, the bottom line for me this time is myself.

Am I better or worse off since May 5 2013.

That's about it.

No need to quarrel too much.

    I'm Rahimah Dollah, remember?

So I don't have a cock, cannot be cocky and right all the time.

However, I believed everything not right in 1MDB, Felda, MARA, KBS, BDKL-bank Rakyat etc., will be scrutinized and unveiled to the Rakyat, once Dr.M takes over from Najib.

Of-course, whatever reports under OSA will be unclassified, upfront. Sort of a retro, when Dr.M ordered those under ISA to be released, upon becoming PM, the first time in 1981. But this time, its only pieces of documents that have been hidden from the Rakyat and the long arms of the law.

  2. Surely the question shouldnt be "Am I better off" since the last election but "Is my country better off"in that period of time.If we judge everything based on our situations only we cannot make good judgements when we vote.

Thats because Annie is not entrapped into making a choice of being .the dog that bit the hand that feeds it...and a dedak eater..so what it pays..
See Annie did not get a datukship nor a plush job at a newsblog channelling dedaks.
At most she is still sentimental about her previuos employer during the last GE who is still being taken care on that side

  5. Anwar will be release from prison somewhere in June. Even though barred from running for office, Anwar will be free to campaign or even joining Mahathir criss crossing the country hitting the campaign trails. That’s going to be a nighmare to Najib.

Are you sure you want to hold elections in July?

  8. 60 years of a one party rule this is how malaysians in general have become...docile; ready to accept control or instructions; submissive...

synonyms; compliant, obedient, pliant, dutiful, willing, passive, tame, meek, lamblike, unassertive, unresisting, yielding, persuadable, accommodating, manipulable....there you go, straight out of a dictionary, can't be more precise than that

a thief or a dictator...both the product umno...how to choose the lesser of the two evil you might ask...damn difficult decision...actually, its quite easy to decide if we want to see the establishment of a two party system...ultimately and eventually a thief or a dictator will have no place in a two party system...the system will make sure of that....frequent changes in gomen is what we need to take the country to greater heights

    1. Eventually, it will be two party system just like Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand.

Having 2-party system or multiple parties system has nothing to do with nature. It is not like the sun will not shine if we do not have a 2-party system.

    3. You're somewhat correct Prof. Kangkung.

Actually, two-party system can never be a reality if we continue to allow 'Bangsa & Agama' to be used as platform to garner votes.

Therefore, Zahid Hamidi's statement... 'Islam belongs to everyone, not any particular party'... when denying Mat Sabu's use of 'Islam' for his new party, was in the right direction towards 2-party system.

Unlike PRU13... after DAP was no longer chummy with PAS, they seems to have stopped using the Church or Religion as platform to garner votes. This is very healty for a peaceful Malaysia.

Next change... will be PAS. Maybe after becoming PM again... Dr.M, due to old-age and in his haste to make Malaysia great again, will have the guts to also declare in Haji Hadi's face... 'Islam belongs to everyone, not any particular party'.

    4. Kangkong,

What kind of Prof. are you.?

Of course it is the law of nature.

To make it simple for you.

There are 2 party one is coke and one is pepsi.

Some stupid idiot say, they taste the same.

Pepsi and Coke do not taste the same.

Pepsi come up with Diet Pepsi, and Pepsi Twist with Lemon.

Coke come up with Diet Coke and Vanilla Coke.

Both competing with each other to give the best value to customers.

So competition is part of human nature to give the best value.

Because of this human nature and because of the same reason behind Pepsi and Coca Cola, eventually Malaysia will have two Party System like Indonesia, Thailand, Philipines, UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Germany etc.

    5. More likely 3 party system now like UK, Anon 13:32.

  9. Annie,

//It's almost pushing it till the end of the August deadline.//

For myself, I could not care less when the elections are called.

I am ready to front up at the ballot box in my kampung any time.

In fact, my sister and I were first in line at our designated voting booth during GE13 - 6.30am from memory.

We just made it to first in the queue. Others were already there but were held up parking their cars.

    //Ceramah here, gatherings there....etc//

Nup, I don't think there will be any ceramahs in my kampung.

OK, OK, maybe one - by DAP and that will be about it.

It's a foregone decision as far as my kampung is concerned.

As one fellow put it, even if DAP put up a block of stone as a candidate, he would vote for DAP.

MCA will probably hold a few ceramahs in the outlying Malay kampungs but not in my kampung.

In GE13, they had to pay people to help with their campaign.

My cousin was one of those paid workers.

He told me that it was because he needed to put food on the table and DAP simply could not pay him due to their very tight shoestring budget.

In GE13, MCA distributed several (3?) lorry loads of rice and oil in my kampung alone, held several sumptuous banquets (4 or 5?) at an expensive local restaurant and held a couple of huge free makans to celebrate something or other.

    DAP?

    Nothing.

//I'm not even sure yet whether I'll drive down to Johor to vote.//

I would be quite shocked if you actually did that :)

But I can sorta understand your apathy.

    Hopefully, you will vote.

I know that I will be most certainly be aiming to capture first spot in the queue again in GE14. :)

//If I'm happy with things, I'll vote BN. If I'm unhappy with things, I'll vote Pakatan.//

For me, the decision had already been made - I am voting Pakatan.

I know it sounds crazy, but it will be good for UMNO to lose Putrajaya.

    Consider this.

If UMNO loses, it is almost certain that all the deadwood will be purged, allowing new leaders to step forward.

UMNO will become rejuvenated with fresh blood.

This new UMNO will most likely kick out Pakatan in GE15 or GE16, whereby Pakatan will go thru the same deadwood purging process, resulting in a rejuvenated Pakatan.

    And so the cycle goes.

If we, common everyday folks, play our cards right, we will end up with two mainstream coalitions which will try to outdo each other in truly serving us, the common everyday folk.

When we force those politicians to become dependent on our votes by changing them at our pleasure, politicians will fear us and they will do what we tell them to do

Just think, no politician would dare to give contracts to family members or cronies, no politician would dare display ostentatious signs of ill-gotten wealth, no politician would dare ignore us, the common everyday folk.

If UMNO retains Putrajaya in GE14, well, the looting continues, the in-your-face displays of ill-gotten wealth continues, and we, the common everyday folk, can go fly kites.

Of-course, I still disagree if PH were to maneuver another 'Kajang move'... through the backdoor... to install anybody as PM, after Dr.M.

Its outright abuse of the democratic process and runs counter to the spirit of 'equal representation' of our Parliamentary Democracy with Constitutional Monarchy system of rule.

i.e... only 1(ONE) constituent out of 222... of which the candidate might already got to know almost all of his voters due to very-long service as Member of Parliament there... get to choose the PM. In principal, its just not righteous and just.

    1. Dear Glady.

A 2-party system will never be realized if Religion is being use as a political tool to garner votes. 'Demi Bangsa & Negara' can still be echoed though, since in due time we will become Bangsa-Malaysia, anyway... of-course, if Dr.M become PM again and have the guts to do a sort of 'Zahid Hamidi' on PAS... as I wrote above.

After-all, there is no single country in the world which use 'Religion' to govern and as a result, become peaceful, prosperous and militarily independent. All they have are; death, destruction and exposure to foreign agitators and intervention.

On the other note, Kim Jong Un did what he had to do to survive in an atmosphere where there were threats, since the time of his grandfather, from the most powerful nation in the world, whose homeland lies tenth of thousand miles away, yet head its military presence along its borders and shores with South Korea.

If China can be used as an example, a one-party state is not bad an idea at all... although they make corrupt officials stand before the firing-squad.

Hence, like Saddam Hussein, as long as Kim could keep his country peaceful internally, not much big scandals like Malaysia, its citizens well fed and secure from foreign intervention, its good enough.
At a time when the country is facing external threats, a mutiny within your rank is unacceptable and must be dealt with sternly, as a lesson to all.

Furthermore... that was why Iraq was much-much more peaceful when Saddam was alive. However, he was not so lucky as Kim Jong Un, whose salvation came from its neighbor China, with Russia as its ally, hence more dreaded by Uncle Sam, the world's sheriff.

  12. Agreed with Gladiator and RD partially,

I think the existence of Pakatan Harapan bring hopes to the people.

However, we have to go back to the question, if one play a game when the other makes the rule, can one win?

Sure, it is good that they presented us with two choice, Pakatan Harapan and BN while PAS will try to break the opposition vote.

In reality, countries like Indonesia and Philipines, Both of the dictators, Suharto and Marcos won their respective election.

    I believe in human nature.

Usually, we Malay folks will wait for things to collapse before we change.

So I think Gladiator and saudara RD have to be patience and wait for the country to collapse first and through the carnage, there will be a real motivation for change, just like in Indonesia and Philipines.

The current development is good though, Tun Mahathir and the PH top brass managed to bring people together. That is a good sign and bring hopes to the people.

//A 2-party system will never be realized if Religion is being use as a political tool to garner votes.//

A theocracy will NEVER EVER allow a democratic system of government :)

//After-all, there is no single country in the world which use 'Religion' to govern and as a result, become peaceful, prosperous and militarily independent.//

Those "selling" religion will always talk about how beautiful, how peaceful, how good, blah blah blah, their religion is.

But, if one "drills down" into it, religion is all about death and punishment, pain and suffering, fear and hatred.

We, everyday ordinary people, ALWAYS end up "worshiping" the clergy/ulama/priests instead.

//as long as Kim could keep his country peaceful internally, not much big scandals like Malaysia, its citizens well fed and secure from foreign intervention, its good enough.//

I don't think that Nth Koreans citizens are very well fed.

I have seen video clips smuggled out of Nth Korea which show an appalling state of affairs for the common folk.

You may also recall that one of those recently escaped soldiers who was found to have parasites in his stomach?

//that was why Iraq was much-much more peaceful when Saddam was alive//

During the time of Saddam Hussein, Iraqis were scared shitless and kept very quiet out of fear.
    - that is not peace.

The problem we see in Iraq today is simply due to the usual Sunni vs Shia hatred for each other.

Having the Islamic State and Al-Qaedah being active does not help either.

Personally, I hope they all kill each other and we will be rid of such quarrelsome people.
