According to Mat Hasan,
PM promised GE15 won’t be in 2023
Well, I'm not sure whether to believe in politicians' promises.
For one thing, Pakatan people promised a lot of things for the election in 2018 but didn't fulfil almost all of them.
The few that they fulfilled were mostly for their political expediency.
Like jailing Najib.
Okay, they got rid of GST, but that one turned out to be bad for the country. Lost of revenue, okay.
What else did they do for the rakyat during that 22 months?
Things like selling off the country's assets don't count, okay.
Anyway, Ismail Sabri can actually not fulfil his promise too.
I saw some clever analysts said so in this story;
Ismail Sabri’s PM post still ‘solid’ if booted from Umno
excerpts;
1. Parliament observer Ong Ooi Heng said even if Umno gives him the boot, Ismail Sabri can still retain the support of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalitions, as well as those from Sabah and Sarawak.
2. Echoing Ong, Singapore Institute of International Affairs senior fellow Oh Ei Sun said an Umno dismissal would not necessarily remove Ismail Sabri as prime minister.“The honourable thing for a PM to do is to call for a confidence vote whenever he doesn’t feel like he still commands the majority,” Oh said.“In any case, PH’s and PN’s parliamentary support should carry him to a majority, even if Umno withdraws its support for him.”
Yup, these kind of analysts are also quoted these days to encourage Ismail Sabri not to call for a snap general election.
They even offered Ismail Sabri to be their PM.
Looks like they really don't want an early GE15.
Even when Najib is already in jail.
Maybe they are hoping that the coming spike in inflation across the world due to the war in Ukraine will hit Malaysia hard.
The hardest hit will be the poor and we know which group is the poorest in this country. Not the Indians, okay.
Easier to spin their tales like before when poor people are angry.
Maybe they can't afford to let the rakyat have the mandate to elect a strong and stable government, which could properly handle the coming troubles.
Well, Ismail Sabri may consider their offer.
Go ahead Mail. Maybe DAP can offer you to be their chairman, like those token Melayu people they have in their party.
Guan Eng can then become mentor chairman or something.
Sigh. Whatever lah.
Actually, I don't really mind GE15 to be held at the end of this term next year.
I survived 2018.
I'm quite sure I will survive the next one too.
Yes Mail, stretch it till the final deadline in September next year.
Make my day, okay.

ReplyDelete....and zahid + rosmah are en route to the same course as well. Fingers crossed.
DeleteActually it's thanks to Mahiadin and Azmin for jumping. Now under Bersatu and UMNO only we can see all the exposure coming out cuz now cake is not big enough to be shared so need to kill off the 'extras'.
DeleteIf under PH all busy finding fault with PH or congress 'maruah'.

-It doesn’t work that way. Calling yourself Malaysian political analyst or an expert but having no clue how Malaysian Federal Constitution works.
In the event of Umno withdraws its support to Ismail Sabri (IS), or Umno sacks him as its member, if that scenario were to happen, IS government would lose its majority and his government would ceased to exist. His PM post too no longer exists and he has to tender his resignation to HRH Agong and tell HRH his government no longer have a majority. Even if Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalitions, as well as the parties from Sabah and Sarawak were come to the rescue by giving him their majority to show he still command majority support thus he still could continue as PM, that new majority is yet to be proven and authenticated in front of HRH Agong. IS still has to resign as PM and prove his NEW majority to HRH Agong and he has to take a NEW oath to be PM because his old majority no longer valid. Like what happened to PM Muhyiddin Yasin’s PN government last time around. You lost majority support, there is no other way but to tender resignation.
No no PH’s and PN’s parliamentary support could not carry him to a majority for him to stay as PM. He has to present his new majority to HRH Agong. If HRH Agong is satisfied that he is indeed has a brand new majority, then a new, separate swear in ceremony to appoint new PM has to take place. With this parliamentary mandate expiring date is around the corner, less than a year to be exact, do you think HRH Agong would want to appoint a new Prime Minister? After having appointed 3 PM within very short period of time? HRH must have thought if he were to appoint a new government with a new PM, it is going to be another round of unstable and short lived government. It wouldn’t be wise to do it again. It is in the country best interest to advise the PM to call for a new mandate from the people. Calling for general elections would be the best choice is that kind of scenario were to happen rather than having another “revolving door” government which benefit nobody.
"In the event of Umno withdraws its support to Ismail Sabri (IS), or Umno sacks him as its member, if that scenario were to happen, IS government would lose its majority and his government would ceased to exist. His PM post too no longer exists and he has to tender his resignation to HRH Agong and tell HRH his government no longer have a majority."
DeleteThis is legally incorrect.
a) Even assuming every single Umno MP withdrew support, if this happened in Parliament (most notably in the passing of the Budget, which is generally regarded a vote of confidence, or any other Bill), IS would retain the PM position, without lifting a finger, if the vote/bill/budget is passed. YDPA does not need to get involved at all. And no, he does NOT need to take a "new oath". And no, he will NOT be sworn in twice.
b) If Umno sacks him, that is 100% irrelevant. His position as PM is not tied to his membership of a political party.
c) If Zahid wants to do his "photo op" trick and force every Umno MP to sign a declaration withdrawing support (which not every Umno MP will sign), then the case of Datuk Nizar Jamaluddin v Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir on Parliamentary majority will come into play. At that point, YDPA just needs to wait and see. If more than 112 MPs come forward shortly declare support for IS, then it is status quo. And no, he will NOT be sworn in twice.
d) If - and only if - it appears mathematically that IS finally has less 112 MPs, then IS must resign. YDPA has the option of then relying on SDs or interviews to determine majority, as he has exercised before.
“a) Even assuming every single Umno MP withdrew support, if this happened in Parliament (most notably in the passing of the Budget, which is generally regarded a vote of confidence, or any other Bill), IS would retain the PM position, without lifting a finger, if the vote/bill/budget is passed. ReplyDelete-Can you provide which provision in FC which support your argument? Or if there such precedent/precedents happened before? If that is the case why Abah kau resigned before? Umno MPs didn’t even go to Parliament to withdrew their support to Muhyiddin. They just did it at Umno’s HQ. Why are you even mentioning Budget? It is not remotely related. If PM lost his support he just lose it anywhere anytime if Umno MPs withdraw their support.
Legally incorrect huh? That such a bold statement. Which part of the statement or statements which incorrectly stated? Would you highlight them?
“b) If Umno sacks him, that is 100% irrelevant. His position as PM is not tied to his membership of a political party.”
ReplyDelete-As if Umno MPs are not part of his government. If he ceased to be a member of the party, then the party itself no longer part of the government if the party boss ordered it not to to be part of it. Without majority, government ceased to exist. The PM has no choice but to resign. That’s what happened to Muhyiddin’s government. Kau faham ke tak ni? Ke nak aku lukis..

DeleteFirst of all, let me congratulate you on your keen interest in our legal system.
It's very encouraging that even at the age of 12, you are participating in democratic discourse.
Although most children of your age have mastered the basics of our Federal Constitution, sadly your academic failures are reflected in your failure to understand simple English.
Takpe lah.
Please ask your parents or teachers to explain these articles below to you.
(They are full of long words, so please don't try it yourself.)
Dongibab, and Selamat Hari Merdeka!

A simple 12-year-old views could easily be rebutted by learned seasoned professionals, instead you list down references? Why didn’t you just address legal issues raised head on instead of being personal? Accusing someone as a 12 years old doesn’t make someone an expert overnight.
DeleteAnd why oh why giving references? are we doing a research now? If you can’t explain it in simple laymen terms, it means you yourself don’t fully understand the issue at hand. Have no confident in youself to explain things you don’t properly grasp. Only cling to references. Clutching at straws.
What happen when you lost an argument? Just accuse someone as being 12 years old.
If the Malays are "really" poor after 60 years of Umno rule, then it's a good idea to ask why, right?
ReplyDeleteAfter all, Umno is all about alif ba ta.
Or is it?
"When it was reported that Pembinaan PFI Sdn Bhd had racked up debts close to RM50 billion, this issue had the makings of a major scandal.
Pembinaan PFI, a government-linked company (GLC), had reportedly been created to implement a policy called Private Finance Initiative (PFI), introduced to allow private enterprises securing public contracts to first shoulder the costs to complete these projects.
However, two pension funds, the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) 2 and Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP), were used to obtain loans totalling RM30 billion to implement PFI projects.
The collateral for these loans was a huge number of government land parcels that had been leased by a government agency, the Federal Lands Commissioner, to Pembinaan PFI for a mere RM10, though later increased to RM5.7 billion, which were then sub-leased to the government for a massive RM29 billion."
https://c4center.org/wp-content/uploads/PFI-Report.pdf
So....
RM10.
Mark-up to 5.7 billion.
Mark-up to 29 billion.
Sounds familiar?
Who benefited?
You can read the report yourself. Or read the last para of this:

It wasn't you, me or Makcik Kiah.
If the Malays are "really" poor after 60 years of Umno rule, then it's a good idea to ask why.
But some are very, very, very rich.
explain exactly why you want a GE thsi year annie ? except for the 2 corrupts & 10 odd village idiots, no one else in this land wants a GE now.
ReplyDeletea GE now cost 1.2-5b, the MPs will spend all their time & resources getting elected instead of doing their job
politically we are stable now compared to the last 2yrs.
so whats your angle annie ?
Same reason why Pakatan people don't want "back door government". We need a government with people's mandate as soon as possible. Winter is coming and the war in Ukraine will cause fuel prices to go up and with that global inflation too. A stable government with clear mandate from the rakyat is necessary to handle that. Anyway, GE15 next year FOC, is it?
DeleteAbsolutely correct, we need a government with people's mandate, and in 2018 the people's mandate has been given to PH. So just ask PH to take over the governing of the government, isn't that simple.
DeleteYes, I will make your day, bitch!

Apa macam Anon 30 Ogos 23:18? What can you contribute to help our young graduates?

You said " the few that PH fulfilled were mostly for their political expediency, like jailing najib. Annie, in case you have not already know, nine judges from three different courts found najib guilty as charged. PH did not jailed your bossku, it was the judges. Perhaps you have deliberately avoided using the words " court or judges " implying jailing najib were for political expediency to avoid you being charged in court for questioning the decisions of the federal court. So, you blamed PH for jailing your bossku. There is nothing political about najib's guilt from the eyes of the law. Instead, your accusation is political to say the least.
ReplyDeleteWHY IS MALAYSIA RELYING ON MAT SALLEH?
DeleteA sad thought for Merdeka.
The 1MDB scandal was largely exposed by non-Malaysians.
"Wright also used the opportunity to call on other nations like Switzerland and the United States to sanction whoever allowed the 1MDB fund to be embezzled as it was supposed to be used to empower Malaysia’s economic development.
He said that the money was instead used by Najib and Jho Low, his co-conspirator, for several alleged wrongdoings, such as to bribe voters, buy jewellery for Najib’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, fund The Wolf of Wall Street film, as well as bankroll parties with Hollywood celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Swizz Beatz, Jamie Foxx and Miranda Kerr."

It's time we caught fei chye and put him in jail.
Wright has promised to try to track down Jho's whereabouts, but my question is:
Why can't we do it ourselves?
The heavily tainted personal DBKL of Najib, who cleared him of all wrongdoing, KNOWS where the fat Cinapek is.
He was nego with him to try to stop him talking.
Lucky kantoi, otherwise we would never know.
So, why don't AGC and PDRM talk to the pandi?
Why is the pandi even involved?
From media report, the president of UMNO was of the view that commonwealth countries will see the Najib trial as unfair. But the horror of horror to the umno president is that NOT EVEN ONE commonwealth head of government or any NGO of the world condemn this Najib trial, which according to the president of UMNO is unfair, due to various incidences, as unfair.
DeleteFurther we have not seen any report from head of government any country in this whole wide world has condemn Malaysia for this so called unfair trial.
So it seems like the whole world thinks this trial is fair and the guilty one deserve jail time.
