Hudud no big deal, Umno likely to win by-elections

At a very nice place for the weekend.

Need a proper break from all the hustle and bustle.

Been quite awhile since I have a proper rest.

These past weeks had been quite hectic.

Did not even have proper time to blog properly.

This is only my 13th post this month, the lowest ever since I started this blog more than three years ago.

The lowest number of posts per month that I did previously was 18, which was in January last year.

I will try to be more hardworking after this.

As for today, things are getting quite interesting.

I saw news that Pas president DS Abdul Hadi Awang said DAP wants to be an enemy of Islam by opposing the tabling of a private member's bill on hudud in Dewan Rakyat on Thursday.

He also said Pas is not going to negotiate with Pakatan Harapan over the Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar by-elections.

I think these were all the fault of Guan Eng and his church gang for playing that Christian card too much last time.

Who asked them to fool around with the Kalimah Allah and Malay Bible issues.

Dumb idiots.

Because of those, it's now quite easy to accuse them of being anti-Islam.

That's the problem when people get too cocky.

Guan Eng and gang really know how to get cocky back then when the now dead Pakatan Rakyat appeared to be unstoppable.

Now things have turned upside down.

Fortunately for opposition supporters, Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat is no longer around.

Otherwise, it would be hard for Pas people to explain how Guan Eng turned from being akin to Khalifah Umar Abdul Aziz as described by the late Pas mursyidul am, into an enemy of Islam.

Nonetheless, I'm not going to read too much into this because the way Malaysian politics are, I wouldn't be surprised if Hadi suddenly, not too long from now, turned around and declare Guan Eng a "penyelamat ummah"...just like a particular blogger....

After all, Hadi used to tell Pas people to fight Umno because it's anti-Islam for upholding the country's secular laws instead of implementing hudud.

Remember Amanat Haji Hadi ?

I think he should make another amanat (declaration) about DAP.

Well, never mind.

Doesn't really make much difference. Politicians will always be like that.

So, what if hudud is to be implemented or the existing syariah laws be enhanced?

I'm not overly worried because I'm not planning to commit any serious crime.

As I remember it, the opposition supporters, including those from DAP said exactly that when they were still friends with Pas.

So, I'm now just follow the same lah,

But I'll probably be committing minor dating a Chinese.

I may get flogged for it if I get caught, but I guess a lot of other people will also kena. So, not too bad la.

As for the by-elections, it's certain now there will be multi-cornered fights.

Umno versus Pas versus Amanah.

I think Umno will win both Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar.

1. Umno is the incumbent. Incumbents always have the advantage in by-elections.

2. The opposition's votes will be split between Pas and Amanah.

3. The Chinese who overwhelmingly support the opposition are not likely to go all out to vote. Based on past by-elections, the Chinese are not really interested in things which can't change much, such as a by-election.

4. Umno did well by not fielding racists as its candidates.

Well, that should be it.

Okay, I need to go to the beach now.

For your weekend pleasure, here's one of my father's favourite songs when he was a young rocker,

Yes, let's go catch the rainbow :)

  1. Pok Jibby's JIBNO on rock & roll ...

  2. Annie,

And "some people" want me to believe that DAP is supposed to be paying you for writing this stuff?

Aiyoh, are there Malaysians who are really so stupid as to believe "some people"?

Anyway, despite your "so-obviously pro-DAP" article, I have to agree that UMNO looks like it is in the box seat for the two by-elections.

PAS and Amanah are there only to save face.

In fact, in the case of these two by-elections, the side-show is more interesting than the main event.

The side-show is whether PAS or Amanah have the greater support amongst the Malays.

At least, that is what I am more interested in.

    1. No contest between The lackey, Sdr Gladiator
in-sya-Allah and one fighting for a cause even if many disagree

    2. M Zin,

//No contest between The lackey... and one fighting for a cause//

So, who is the "lackey" and who is "{the} one fighting for a cause"?

Is it Islamic to force someone to live as a Muslim?

      Just asking.

    3. Live as Muslim or leave, Sdr Gladiator
although agreed it is sticky the other way, ie. application forms and interview. Many have been granted Murtad by Islamic authorities after due process

      Alor Gajah DPH

    4. that's usually the problem with Zin's comments.... they are cryptic and don't make much sense to others. I'm sure he has his own ideas though...

    5. This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.

    6. Sorry Anon 08:42, you cannot insult Islam in this blog. Please think before you comment. Thank you.

    7. M Zin,

      //Live as Muslim or leave//

Firstly, your statement does not answer my question if it is Islamic to force a person to live as a Muslim.

Secondly, is it an individual's choice or YOUR law which says that a person must live like a Muslim or leave Islam?

Thirdly, is it true that Islam is defined by the person practising it according to that person's understanding of the Quran?

Sorry for so many questions but I have always been curious how well people understand their religion.

    8. "Live as Muslim or leave"

Gladiator, these are very arrogant people you are seeing. One thing you must know that they are taught to love each other 'because of God'.

Ever wonder how to love each other 'because of God'? The love cannot be real when one doesn't love you because of who you are but of some other reasons, God or otherwise.

While there must be some explanation to the notion of 'loving because of God', but because these are very arrogant people and they thought to own the exclusivity to interpretation of God's words, there is little room (in fact none) to convince them otherwise.

And so beware and understand why some could act like what they did in Bangkok, Madrid, Paris and New York, a caring neighbor to you today and an extremist tomorrow. There is no real love to humanity for them. As the Malay says, hati kering.

And why the proclamation of 'murtad' on someone who doesn't agree with their view, if not for the reason of proclamation of halal on your blood and live?

They could act like this even before hudud is implemented, imagine what could they do AFTER the implementation?

It sends shivers to our spines. No?

    9. those malay guys joining ISIS from Malaysia, guess who is their local "takfir caliph"? he is trying to make it easier for his islamist party to send more young radicals to kill Muslims and non-muslims overseas. who knows? one of these days the "local caliph" will have his own army?

    10. What is not clear(?)Sdr ANON 11:19

Murtad is apostasy as in other religion. Just apply with Jabatan Agama according to the law in the State Islamic Enactments.

      M Zin
      Alor Gajah DPH

  3. If UMNO and PAS are chummy with each other, supporting each other on the Hudud bill, embracing each other on stage, THEN WHY THE HELL are they contesting against each other in KK and SB?

    This part, I don't get.

Are they idiots? The leaders must not think their members are sneaky like them. All this will confuse the members. Some are already thinking about voting the third force.

  4. No contest. Save the rakyat's time money and energy.

  5. If PAS is serious enough in implementing this Hudud ,or it's just for political mileage ?.
We have seen this wayang long enough.

  6. Generally, UMNO members know that they are sinful people, playing money politics and what not, they are looking for salvation.

PAS members on the other hand deem that they are the chosen ones, already marked for a nice place in heaven. Before going back to their abode in paradise they want to do more for God.

No one wants to enact a law to cut his own limbs. The fact that PAS wants so badly to implement hudud is because they want to apply this law on the sinful ones. With Hadi claiming so many times that the nons would not be affected by hudud, so it must mean that the implementation is for those unrepenting sinful Muslims in UMNO.

And out of eagerness for a salvation UMNO members support PAS' motion with such 'hati terbuka penuh kesyukuran'.

Very well and happy journey to the paradise, where beneath your abode river flows.

But all honeymoon will come to an end. It is the trademark of people of these two parties to engage in 'kafir mengkafir' finger pointing games and against the backdrop of some teachings which there's none to tell you exactly who is right and who is wrong, PAS and UMNO's unholy fornication will eventually damage the unity amongst their people more to the extent of beyond repair.

For God have said, before some people is destroyed they would go mad first.

    1. PAS has different God than the rest of us Muslim cause PAS God is so weak it need man to judge and sentence for sin against God.

    2. re: "No one wants to enact a law to cut his own limbs. The fact that PAS wants so badly to implement hudud is because they want to apply this law on the sinful ones."

Sabu fornicated. Anwar fornicated. Spender Ali fornicated. Seems like these special ones are above the punishment that Hadi wants to apply to us all. Bloody fool!

    3. Convert to Islam first then comment on Islam. Being a non-Muslim, you shouldn't comment on Muslim affairs. If we want to enter paradise, that's our affair which has nothing to do with you. If you are not happy, boleh berambus as we didn't invite you in the first place.

    4. Anonymous 29 May 2016 at 03:54,

"Convert to Islam first then comment on Islam."

      What a stupid statement!

It is like saying that that you must be a homosexual before you can comment on homosexuality.

So, the fact that Hadi Awang has commented on homosexuality means that he is ...... OH NO!!!!!

    5. Apa pasat mau malay sama itu Hadi maa aa ,itu Hadi tatak bolih buat apa-apa maa aa ,kalau Najib tatak sokong lor rr .

    6. Is this relevant to modern day society, or all these monkeys are aspiring to suck camel's cock?
A bit fucking stupid if you ask me.
If they promise that hoodooed thing is only for the monkeys, then that's fine. Go ahead and fucking chop off the monkeys dick.
But the problems is that you can NEVER trust the monkeys.

That's why the non-monkeys are concerned. Because tomorrow, the monkeys can turn around and say, some fucking camels fuckers living in the sand dunes somewhere in middle-east just made a fatwa saying that the hoodoood is applicable to non-monkeys, then what the fuck are we gonna do? Complain? Complain to who?

The fucking monkeys will say, yeah it's too bad, we did promise, but the fucking fatwa just overriden our earlier promise, so fucking tough luck for you.

      Not happy? Fucking migrate!!!

You see, as long as this country is ruled by camel fucking monkeys, NOBODY IS SAFE!!!

wahaha, now it time to go eat my Bak Kut Teh, before the fucking monkeys outlaw that too.
Hooodoood is all encompassing, don't let the fucking monkeys fool you.

    7. Pendai punya olang ada cekap ,"masuk kandang kambing 'mengembek' .masuk kandang kerbau 'menguak'.

Kalau itu kambing masuk kandang kelebau ,suluk kelebau 'mengembik' ai..yaaa ! apa macam maa aa ,itu macam .

Kalau itu beluk masuk kumpulan kera ,itu beluk mau jugak jadi kera baru bolih hilup maa aa .

  7. I think Malaysia in general should be concerned with pas effort to turn this country into a taliban state. Why do you let pas claim man made law as God laws ?. Why do let pas lie with their filth on god law. I am Muslim and I don't agreed pas man made law.

  8. You point is right it is your business, you point of view and your private matter. Why do you impose your private views on other Muslim like me . Typical taliban attitude, cannot argue properly then start telling people to leave. Why don't you leave and go to the taliban country like Pakistan and Middle East. They already have hudud, go there please. Leave us liberal Muslim here in Malaysia.

    1. i sincerely dont think you have to be labelled a "liberal muslim" just because you are highly concerned about the dangers of power abuse inherent in the administration of capital punishment - who are the judges calling the shots? The record of the few "hudud punishment" societies around the world shows up poor civic culture and terrifying court protection and legal representation procedures for the accused persons.
It is wisdom to err on the side of human life preservation rather than destruction.

  9. Wahhh. Like that ahh. But then again ramai dah yang ucap kalau tak suka silalah keluar. So how.

  10. I'm Muslim and I don't support PAS's obviously political move for pushing hudud. Allah blessed me with a brain and intelligence, and no way I'm fooled by these devious desperate politicians using Islam to cover their backsides.

They are not sincere in this. It's all for politics, and this is the greatest sin and insult.

Anyway if the bill gets passed, Najib better watch his hands in kelantan. You know what happens to thieves. Rosie also needs to bungkus that hairdo, and the whole gang of Umno dedak eaters better be alert, especially our tough Azalina.

    1. I'm telling you the day the pas hudud gets passed, ill-fortunes will chase after najib and his macais in vengeance. He can sign his death sentence cos there are thugs just waiting for a hudud excuse to go after their heads...

  11. " Sadaq Allah Al-Azeem" in al-Quran

( Allah the Almighty speaks The truth)

    What, PAS politics??

    M Zin

  12. Somebody said. A privileged Indian who is a conservative in India could be a liberal being a minority in the USA. It is a matter of context. Now think about what the Quraish of Makkah thought about the Prophet SalaLLahu 'alaihi wasallam and his dear friends radhiAllah 'anhum during the early days of Islam.

    1. Minorities'll insya-Allah be liberal Sdr ANON 13:18
      to adopt local values kan?

( tell Trump you have better?)

      M Zin
      Alor Gajah DPH

  13. Does HUDUD law include all Muslims or some Muslims only. Does the royals subject to HUDUD law?

    PAS pls explain.

  14. People still living in tents till now and the kelantan govt don't seemed to bother.
These barbaric nonsense seems to be main their concerns.

Stupid lebais with holier than thou mentality.

    Shame on these idiots.

They failed to realise it as a political game by umno to scare away the non bumi votes from Pas?

Idiots of the highest order, the lebais!

    1. We majority Muslims who want Hudud, many are quite educated and not wont to labelling others.

What do you know about Islam(?)Sdr ANON 19:50
and the ASWJ we follow here.
( Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah schools)

      M Zin
      Alor Gajah DPH

    2. Zin, you speak for no majority of us, be assured of that. The maqasid al-shariah does not necessitate implementing harsh corporal punishment before other religious imperatives are put in place and a harmonious culture is cultivated. Hudud punishments DO NOT make civilization! Right scientific education, good moral practices, and being mindful of one's heart do so .......

    3. I concur anon 12:54. Zin certainly dont speak on my behalf.

    4. mMuslims'll see about the majority/ Parliament rules Sdr 12:54
and accept what Syaria laws enacted kan?

      M Zin
      Alor Gajah DPH

  15. And when it is said to them, "Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger," you see the hypocrites turning away from you in aversion.

    -Qu'ran (4:61)

    1. And when it is said to you, that "the Hudud that PAS had wanted to implement is indeed the law created by PAS", you see the arrogant ones claimed that what PAS is enacting is "sadaqallahulazim", meaning PAS words are God's word.

And when it is said to the arrogant ones that "who gave you the right to interpret the ayat in the Quran and to impose it on others?" And "do you have the exclusive right granted by God to interpret Quran ?" you see the arrogant ones answered that "we are the majority, we are the educated, and we are the locals. By God's will (INSYA Allah) you shall adopt our values".

And when it is said to the arrogant ones, that "why do you behave so arrogantly as if you are holier than others?" you see the arrogant ones asking "what do you know about Islam and the ahlus sunnah wal jamaah school that we follow here?"

      - common sense (use: your Brain)

    2. Why the over-acting Sdr ANON 09:13
when Malays have never scorned some your brainy 3-in-1 practives and idol worship which is contrary to our Tawhid.

Do you know nauzubi 'Llah what you are inviting?

      M Zin
      Alor Gajah DPH

    3. Well said saudara anon 9.13.
Annie we will never insult Islam it is just a label but only those who declare them self agent of God are offended.
You should censor people who view Islam in myopic view, it makes Islam so limiting in many ways.

    4. Laws not myopic, for religious Sdr 12:55
      or what purposes.

Your views and beliefs differ, thats OK.

      M Zin
      Alor Gajah DPH

    5. what do u mean: "laws not myopic for religious or what purposes"?

Mr. Zin, if you are commenting about the law, please get your syntax right, at least...
