Two prominent bloggers opposing the leadership of DS Najib Razak had immediately hailed the statement, describing it as Muhyiddin's first brave step to challenge his boss.
Syed Akbar Ali wrote this,
At Last Muhyiddin Steps Forward : "Let me assure you Sir, you are not alone"
while Firdaus of Apanama wrote this,
SEMBOYAN telah berbunyi, Terima kasih Tan Sri
Another prominent pro-establishment blogger was however more cautious about construing Muhyiddin's statement as such.
Big Dog wrote this,
“You are not alone in telling the truth”
excerpts :
"There would be some who would prefer to read what Muhyiddin said today and construe it as a subliminal message in support of Tun Dr. Mahathir’s call for Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak to quit."
Well, whatever it is, it's quite clear here that things will really heat up in the coming days and weeks.
I personally disagree with all three prominent bloggers on this matter.
With all due respect, I have to say that I totally disagree with Big Dog.
Muhyiddin would not had made such a statement without weighing its implications. He would not fool around with such words at any other time, even more so in the current political climate.
As for Syed Akbar and Firdaus, I disagree with them that this is the first time that Muhyiddin had come out in the open to lay down one of his cards on the table, signaling the possibility of him challenging Najib.
For me, he actually did that here,
Something may be brewing in Umno
when he said the Umno elections must be held as scheduled next year instead of being postponed until after the next general election.
Don't postpone UMNO 2016 election, says Muhyiddin
It was a pre-emptive move and a signal that there are those within Umno who do not want the party to face the next general election with the same line-up of leaders following the less than desired results of GE13 in 2013.
I believe Muhyiddin had expected that the current storm was coming when he prepared his speech for the joint-opening of the Umno wings' annual general meeting in November last year.
Now with Dr Mahathir going all out behind the effort to replace Najib, more cards will soon be opened on the table.
For me, the main question should be, will the anti-Najib forces be able to keep the momentum going till at least the next Umno general assembly, scheduled later this year.
That's where it will be decided whether Najib will be challenged as Umno president or the party will go into the 14th general election battle being led by the same line-up as the one in GE13.
personally we are all bit nervous having muhidin as replacement of najib, looking at 2 PMs after tun m, even tun M said so himself. but one thing for sure najib must go. so if u go by logic, u deal with whts apparent and prepare for the unknowns.
Deletei believe we should be optimistic. after all weve been giving najib more than 3 years to prove himself. its time to give chance to others.
Ku Li is way too old already bro. if we want to have Ku Li we might as well ask tun M to be the PM back.
Ku li? what has he ever done that qualifies him to be Msian PM???
ReplyDeleteAt the moment I dont see anyone else that is eligible to be the PM except Tun M.
Anon 23:28, are you going to near him when he needs to change his pampers?
DeleteTun Mahathir pun tak kurang skandal dia.
1) Bank Negara Forex Exchange 30 billion, Al Juburi had to lie in Parliament to cover his shit. What will it be worth today?
2) Perwaja Steel
3) MISC
4) MAS Airlines,
5) Sabah I.C
His standard line is tak ingat, dah lupa. Maybe its time for Najib to use the same standard line.........1MDB, apa itu 1MDB, tak ingat dah lupa.
Deep Penetration Maniac al-Juburi deceives no one except for his own sake - holy shit!
Deletebaca dulu buku tun m, dia dh jwb semua kt situ. asyik ckp bende ni tanpa huraian. adakah kamu hanya copy paste ape org ckp pasal scandal tun m?
DeleteWhat has Syed, Apanama and Mahathir have in common? Cerita in bukan baru, dari Kesultanan Melaka dah mula dah.
ReplyDeletenot worth saying anything here annie, right? same person yg ckp pasal sriwijaya and wht not I think.
Delete1. Apa hal dengan 'Kesultanan Melayu' Anon 01:03?
Delete2.
5. FYI, semua anak Malaysia adalah berketurunan campuran samada campuran Cina, India, Eropah, Arab, Siam, Indonesia, Filipina, dsbnya melainkan anda berketurunan jati orang Asli sedia ada di Malaysia ni.
6. Di Amerika Syarikat, orang Asli Amerika adalah yang berketurunan 'Red Indian', dan bukannya 'Obama, Clinton, George Bush, dsbnya.'
7. Jangan 'buta sejarah', malu!
All they have in common are guts and conscience to say what's right. That's the answer you're looking for?
DeleteThe Bloggers Bangang had launched counter attack on Tun bringing up old issues like Perwaja,BMF etc.They are indeed Bloggers Bangang as pointed by their chief Bangang because;
ReplyDelete1. During Tun’s time, we did not have debt of RM42b and worst till cannot the money is missing and be traced
2. Tun had delegated those responsibilities to his ministers and was not involved directly while in 1MDB the Chief Bangang was directly involved in siphoning the money to his son.
3. During Tun’s time there was no Jho Low who whack the commission from 1MDB and use the poor rakyat’s money to splash on partying with Hollywood celebrities
4. During Tun’s time, his wife did not use gov jet for private use to go shopping or bought any ring worth RM24m.
5. Tun did not have son from previous marriage to finance any movies in Hollywood using gov’s money.
6. During Tun’s time, no Mongolian lady was mysteriously murdered.

Najib Gor and his Rosmelda are purposely turning Malaysia backwards toward 3rd world banan republic - mesti ada udang di sebalik batu. It's just too conspicuously daring .... there must be foreign interests in Malaysia involved
DeleteKluangman said "Muhyiddin bukanlah yang terbaik sebagai PM tetapi adakah kita punya pilihan lain?

Typical UMNO thinking.
Why must consider only from UMNO?
BN has 13-14 parties, there are alot out there to be considered such as from the most stable party within BN ie. PBB
Anon 7:23...ini bukan soal pemikiran..soal realiti..
DeleteUMNO adalah majoriti dalam BN...
Even pakatan haram pun masih kemaruk nak lantik Anwar (x-umno) sebagai PM..
So, anon ....typical or not...jangan mimpi PM ganti Najib selain UMNO...take it or you terjun bangunan
Where is Abdullah Rusltam?
ReplyDeleteWhat Tan Sri meant was UMNO has not abandoned Dr M. That's all.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it everyone jumping up and down like monkeys over this statement?
i agree, i wonder why outsyed the box, and apanama jump to tht conclusion, wht he said only relevant to tht conference theme. had nothing to do with tun m vs najib, though believe me i wish it is.
Deletesome thing for the star, though its no suprise for the gunting dlm lipatan to be doing tht. purposely misinterpreted wht muhidin said. we all know they dont like muhidin. but then who gives a crap bout tht. since the chinese already pretty much voting for dap
Malays are known with their 'kiasan' method of saying something sensitive. As Annie pointed out, in this climate when everyone is eager to find out where this is heading, Muhyiddin wouldn't have said so and expected no one to construe it as anything he didn't mean to say.
DeletePakat-pakat, dalam bahasa Inggeris membawa maksud:-
ReplyDelete'conspire' atau plot, scheme, plan, intrigue, machinate, collude, connive, collaborate.
Contoh ayat:
They admitted conspiring to steal cows.
Pergi belajar dulu sebelum keluarkan komen macam orang tak tahu/belajar sejarah! Jangan jadi macam setengah orang barat yang hanya tahu tentang Negara dia saja, Negara orang lain tak pernah dengar pun! Kesian!
