What is worse than Taliban and CCP

Someone who read my last posting about the Taliban asked me why I seemed to hate China so much.

He made the assumption because I argued that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is worse than the Taliban.

Well, actually I don't hate China.

I just don't like the authoritarian CCP.

As for China the country, I have fond memories of Shanghai....particularly that beautiful time at the Bund.

And I like Chinese people in general. Those in Malaysia too.

My mom and beloved are both Chinese.

But unfortunately I don't really like the Chinese-dominated DAP as a party.

Still, I don't hate DAP people. It's just the ideology that I dislike.

But of course some of the DAP people are very irritating and they sometimes come here and kacau me at this blog.

But that's normal lah. Umno also has irritating people.

It all depends on the individuals.

Actually, I don't even hate the CCP people. Made friends with some of them, who were genuinely nice to me.

They had in fact invited me to attend Xi Jinping's inauguration ceremony in 2012.

Really. I was there in Beijing that early winter. Wrote about it several times in the past.

I think I' may even be okay with the CCP if it stops bullying people in Xinjiang and Hong Kong as well as stop threatening Taiwan and leave it in peace.

Ya, especially Taiwan, because my mom and beloved both really love that COUNTRY.

My mom and beloved are actually traditional Chinese and not pro-US or anything like that.

They just don't like the CCP bullying behaviour. I have to admit that I'm heavily influenced by them.

Ya, if only the CCP could stop being so mean.

The truth is, the political party which I dislike most in the world at the moment is not the CCP.

It's actually the BJP which currently rules India.

As far as I'm concerned it's the worst "penunggang agama" among all political parties in the world.

 I even actually believe that it's worse than the Taliban.

At least the CCP doesn't use religion as an excuse to do bad things.

And I definitely prefer to visit China again rather than India.

I have bad memories of Mumbai, okay.

Maybe I'll write about it one of these days.

Well, I'm actually writing this post because I'm bored at this very moment.

Don't feel like writing about local politics though because I'm tired of it.

As for the Covid crisis, I'm now just waiting for the vaccination to reach a level where it would be safe to open up the country again.

Hopefully that would be very soon.

I'm dying to travel again.

Maybe I really should try going to Afghanistan, as suggested by someone who commented in my last post.

Heard that it's actually a beautiful country.

Well, that depends on whether the government is okay for Malaysians to visit that country lah.

See lah how.

Maybe the Taliban people really turn out to be good guys this time and manage to make things better over there.

Malaysia should recognise Taliban the same way it recognised CCP

I don't really understand why some people said Malaysia must not recognise the Taliban as the legitimate ruler of Afghanistan.

Those guys are actually already in charge of the country now, after all.

Is it because of their strict Islamic ideology and not being democratic? 

Well, we do recognise the absolute monarchy rulers of Saudi Arabia, whose administration was as Islamic as it could get.

You steal something, they would chop off your hand. You kill someone, they chop off your head.

Yet, everyone recognises them as the ruler of Saudi Arabia and custodians of the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.

No democracy whatsoever in that country, but then again, so it is also with so many other countries which despotic rulers we recognised.

There is no democracy in China, yet we recognised the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as the ruler of Middle Kingdom.

We even kowtow to the CCP all the time.

For one thing, we abandoned our recognition of the democratic Taiwan as a country just to please the CCP.

We are even among the first to recognise the CCP's funny puppet rulers in North Korea who treat their people like farm chickens.

Or is it because the Taliban guys are allegedly supporting terrorism and being brutal?

But we do recognise rulers of countries who allegedly support terrorists.

All those Arab and supposedly Islamic countries which were accused of sponsoring terrorism, we do recognised their rulers.

And we do recognised the government in Washington which the Arab and Islamic countries accused of financing and arming the arguably biggest terror organisation called Israel.

Ya, not only Israel shoot and bomb even children, it also occupies other people's land and even have the biggest concentration camp ever called Gaza.

As for the Taliban being brutal, the CCP had been even more brutal.

Its Great Leap Forward policy (1959-1962) resulted in famine and violence which caused an estimated 55 million deaths, while its Cultural Revolution (1966-1976) killed up to 20 million more.

Malaysia first recognised CCP as the ruler of China in 1974, which was at the height of its merciless Cultural Revolution.

Also bear in mind that at that time the CCP was still financing and arming the violent Communist Party of Malaya, which only surrendered to the Malaysian government in 1989.

For more recent CCP's brutalities, just google Hong Kong and Xinjiang as well as its intimidations of Taiwan.

I can give more examples of terrible people whom we recognised as rulers of their countries, but I think that should be enough.

Okay, the Taliban was indeed quite bad when it ruled Afghanistan from 1996 until driven out of Kabul by the Americans and its gang in 2001.

But I have to believe that they learnt to be nicer during the past 20 years fighting the Western occupiers of their country.

They have so far committed no atrocities ever since coming back to power except for a few claims made by the Western media.

They even offered amnesty to to those who worked for the US and its allies.

They promised to treat women better this time and said they wanted to be friends with everyone.

As for terrorism, they said they would fight terrorists such as the Islamic State crazies and would not let them use Afghanistan as a launchpad to attack other countries.

Of course, some accused the Taliban of making empty promises but at least this time they seemed to really mean what they said.

The Taliban people are after all known to be true to their words and quite steadfast in what they believe to be right.

Back in 1991 when the US demanded them to hand over Osama Bin Laden, they refused as it would be against their belief that they are responsible for the safety of their guests.

They could have easily at that time avoided being carpet bombed by the US if they just do as they were told.

Well, considering all that, I do believe that Malaysia and the rest of international community should recognise the Taliban as the ruler of their country.

The faster they could do that, the quicker Afghanistan could stabilise, affording its people a normal life after decades of war.

Even if we don't like the Taliban and what its people stand for, I don't think Afghanistan would be worse off than it was during all the fightings and violence.

It would probably become like one of those rather underdeveloped supposedly Islamic places.

Maybe something like Kelantan.

Not so bad, I think.

Just focusing on health and finance for now

 It's basically the same boring Cabinet with minor political adjustments.

Well, nothing much Ismail Sabri can do, I guess.

He needs to keep the political balance anyway.

I actually felt sorry for him as he even need to appoint these three jokers into his Cabinet - Shahidan as Federal Territories Minister, Noh Omar as Entrepreneur Development and Cooperation Minister as well as Mahdzir Khalid as Rural Development Minister.

I believe that's just to make the Umno leadership happy.

Personally, I think the trios should just stay as parliament backbenchers at most.

Well, never mind, those are not really crucial ministries for now as we battle the Covid crisis.

What truly matter for me now are the Health and Finance ministries.

I think it's good that Ismail Sabri put Khairy as Health Minister as the guy could now continue his vaccination work which is perhaps the only bright light coming out of the current Covid gloom. 

For me, it's okay that Khairy and Dr Adham swapped their posts.

I actually have no problem with Adham as he's a good worker and a real doctor, but he's not as good as Khairy when placed under pressure.

As for the Finance Ministry, I honestly don't mind that Zafrul got his job back but couldn't help to feel Ismail Sabri could appoint someone even better.

My personal choice for the post is Umno deputy president Mat Hassan, who has extensive corporate background and had ran Negri Sembilan quite well when he was its MB.

He could be appointed as senator for that, same as Zafrul.

Mat Hassan's appointment to such an important spot in the Cabinet may also drive a new revival for Umno.

But then again, Ismail Sabri and several other Umno leaders may not like Mat Hassan to be in that position as he may outshine them again as he did when Umno almost died after GE14.

Sigh....the usual stupid Umno internal politicking.

Okay lah, since Zafrul had been appointed, let's just hope he does an even better job this time.

I know that he tried and is still trying his best but the guy simply needs to be more people-friendly.

I mean his policies need for now be focused on lessening the people's sufferings due to Covid such as having another look at the loan moratorium and its interests issue.

As for the reappointments of the other icky characters into the Cabinet, let's just bear with them for the next few months.

Hopefully Khairy and Zafrul (along with the other handful of okay guys in the Cabinet) will do a good job to take us out of this pandemic as soon as possible.

Once we have overcome Covid and can have GE15, let's get a new and better government of our own real choice.

Finally, the idiots made peace amidst mounting Covid deaths

The politicians finally said they want to stop their nonsense.

Pakatan won’t pressure PM, to defuse political tension

Yes, that after months of forcing us to listen to their chatters amidst rising number of Covid-19 deaths and infections.

All that changed was Muhyiddin stepping down, replaced by his deputy Ismail Sabri.

Pribumi Bersatu replaced with Umno.

Okay lah, maybe slightly better but I don't think that's much of a change.

All those energy wasted for not much, actually.

How do you all Pakatan supporters feel about that?

Ismail Sabri better than Muhyiddin? Umno better than Pribumi Bersatu?

Now they said they will not pressure the PM anymore.

Of course la, that's because they already lost.

If only they had saved the energy they spent on fighting and instead channelled it towards fighting Covid-19.

What a waste.

Eh, our Covid-19 deaths are now over 14,800, which is almost three times more than the civilian casualties throughout the 1948-1960 Malayan Emergency.

That's a lot, okay.

The politicians should have seen from the very start that this Covid crisis is a real war with people really dying.

Instead they just use the words "war against Covid" as soundbites, and continued with their usual power grab nonsense.

Sigh. 

Well, never mind. 

Hopefully the coming peace as they promised will prevail at least until we managed to overcome Covid-19 and rebuild our country.

Once we can vote again, lets just vote out the selfish monkeys among them.

Serba Dinamik's case of fake comments attack

This is why I need to be extra careful with the comments posted in this blog.

Serba Dinamik takes KLSE Screener owner to court over fake comments

excerpts;

The company’s chairman Datuk Mohamed Ilyas Pakeer Mohamed, was quoted in the statement as saying that an ad interim injunction was obtained by the company and Karim against Lim Kai Yang, the owner and operator of KLSE Screener to stop the website from publishing, republishing or allowing any publication of the false comments.

Ilyas pointed out that the false comments have created unwanted speculations on Serba Dinamik which jeopardises and destroys the goodwill and reputation of the company and Karim.

He said Serba Dinamik would continue to monitor several other platforms and if necessary initiate similar legal actions against those which try to defame the company and members of its staff.

Terrible people. They not only made fake comments but also impersonate the CEO guy to do that.

Really dangerous people.

KLSE Screener, being supposedly reputable and all should have been more careful. Otherwise people may even suspect that it's in cahoot with the fakers .

Seriously, fake comments such as those could really be the undoing of websites as if not screened carefully could lead to court actions and lost of credibility.

Last time Malaysiakini also kena like that.

That's why I think many of my fellow bloggers have stopped publishing comments.

One slip of an actionable comment may land a blogger in court or even in jail.

Freedom of speech is one thing, but people who abuse it could deprive others from it.

For mine maybe it's not so bad as it's just an insignificant anonymous blog but influential websites such as KLSE Screener and all those super blogs with charts and graphs written by fantastic writers need to be very careful, I think.

Still, I also need to take extra care after this. I can't afford to hire a lawyer or go to jail, okay.

You all also please la don't abuse the platform I give you to comment in this blog by posting defamatory stuff.

If the blog is shut down, you'll be depriving others the opportunity to voice their opinion.

So, please be careful.

Ismail Sabri better be aware of the ghosts

So, Ismail Sabri has been appointed PM and he will be sworn in tomorrow.

I'm not sure whether to congratulate him because I strongly believe that it's not going to be easy for him. 

For one thing, he has that confidence vote to go through in Dewan Rakyat with such paper thin majority.

The frogs may jump again over the next few days.

Some may even see the start of his premiership as an unfortunate event.

My beloved sent me a message just now reminding me that it's now the Ghost Month, that time of the year when the gates of hell supposedly open up, allowing ghosts and spirits to wreck havoc on earth.

This year, the Ghost Month is between Aug 9 and Sept 6, with the climax Chung Yuan or Hungry Ghost Festival on Aug 22, which is the day after tomorrow.

My beloved believes it's not the best time for Ismail Sabri to open shop in Putrajaya.

Of course, being a Muslim I don't believe in all that but my beloved is a Cina Bukit and thus was really concerned that Ismail Sabri's administration starting itself at this time of the year is not going to be good for the country.

Sigh.

Don't know what to say lah.

Anyway, I don't think Ismail Sabri's premiership is going to last very long.

No, it's not because of the ghosts.

You see, even if he survives the confidence vote, he would likely has to call for a snap election once the pandemic crisis is over, which I believe will be within just a few months from now.

The vaccination programme is doing very well and we may achieve the herd immunity before the end of the year.

We are even starting to relax the movement restrictions quite a lot these past few days.

The pressure will be so great for Ismail Sabri to seek a new mandate when the situation permits the country to hold a general election.

I think we all would want that.

And you know what, I don't believe Ismail Sabri will be the Umno's PM candidate going into the general election.

It would certainly be someone else.

So, Ismail Sabri should do his best with this relatively short time as PM to do good so that he will be remembered as a good guy.

Well, for one thing, he can do his best to bring the country safely out of the pandemic and not goof up the coming budget.

That would be good enough.

I know the guy a bit when I was working in Pahang and I think he's not such a bad person.

Not top notch, but as a temporary PM okay lah.

Eh, enough la for now. I need to have dinner now.

Don't worry too much about politics, we can do without it for a while

Today I just want to copy and paste something my good friend wrote. Too lazy to write myself.

MALAYSIANS should not worry too much about the current political turmoil.

 

That’s  because we have to save our worries for bigger problems – the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic and social well being fallout.

 

The tussle over who should become prime minister and form the new government is by right a problem concerning the politicians and maybe to a certain extent the Rulers.

 

It is after all a problem created by them and should be solved by them. 

We, ordinary Malaysians are mere spectators, just like those at a football match.

 

We can cheer and jeer all we want, but what happens on the pitch is up to the players as well as the referee and linesmen.

 

As it is now, the farce that we are witnessing is more like a very poorly played football match.

 

The players are cheating and committing fouls at every chance they get and the match officials are struggling to do their job.

 

Worse, the match is still undecidedly boring even after extra time with no clear winner.

 

All that, while we the spectators at the stands have to endure a very heavy rain and hooligans among fans of both sides behaving annoyingly.

 

Yes, that is more or less how it is with the current Malaysian political scene.

 

It is best that we just ignore it and instead concentrate on how to endure the Covid-19 crisis.

 

We actually can manage it without the politicians, at least for quite a while until maybe after the pandemic is over.

 

The government machinery is, after all, still functioning and efforts to fight Covid-19 are still ongoing, thanks to our brave frontliners.

 

The vaccination programme, which should be the most crucial in our war against the coronavirus, is also going well.

 

Hopefully, we will meet the herd immunity target as scheduled before year end and then some semblance of normality will return.

 

As for now, we can do our part by observing the standard operating procedures of movement restrictions,and helping our frontliners as much as we could in curbing the pandemic.

 

There is no need for us to be too concerned about who will be the next prime minister and which side of the political divide will form the government.

 

The Yang diPertuan Agong should be allowed to take all the sweet time he wants to decide on the matter.

 

Whatever his decision, I do not think it would make much difference to us ordinary Malaysians.

 

It would be just another “backdoor government” as the politicians said about the previous one, and its policies would probably be of not much difference either.

 

This new government should not be allowed to be in power for too long anyway.

 

As soon as we Malaysians manage to overcome the pandemic, the mandate must be returned to us to vote for a government of our real choice.

 

Let the ongoing political comedy amidst our Covid-19 sufferings be the last time that we have to endure those selfish individuals who claim they should be our leader.

 

We must vote them all out of our consciousness the first chance we get at the next election, which hopefully will not be too long from now..

 

Until then, dear Malaysians, be safe and keep your spirit up.

Agong must upholds constitution, best way - settles Covid and then GE15

 I guess most of you all are happy that Muhyiddin resigned yesterday.

So, now what?

Let the Agong decides what to do, right?

If you ask me, I should say he must uphold the constitution.

That is to appoint the person who commands majority support in the Dewan Rakyat.

Yup, just like what he did after Dr Mahathir resigned last year.

But this time he should do it openly in Parliament.

No need to call the MPs for an interview like last time or all the other stuff, like the SD comedy.

Let everyone sees for themselves who vote for who.

That way no one can accuse the Agong of conspiring with the one appointed as PM....like when he appointed Muhyiddin last time, remember?

Next parliament sitting on Sept 6, Agong gives his opening speech, then the MPs vote, then the results announced, complete with who support who list.

Whoever gets the highest number of votes becomes the PM.

Well, that's democracy, I believe.

Of course, ideally Agong should already dissolved the Dewan yesterday after the government fell so that we can have a general election, but since it's Covid time, we can't have that.

Really.

The Agong actually shouldn't solely, use his kebijaksanaan to appoint the new PM and government as it would ends the same way as the Muhyiddin episode.

I know, I know, he interviewed the MPs and all that back then but still people said the Agong was scheming and everything.

Yeah, this time he has to make it open in Parliament.

Upholding democracy, as they should say.

But you know what, the nonsense will go on no matter who wins the vote of confidence.

Trust me on this.

That's because everyone in the Dewan thinks by right they are the ones who should be the PM.

Doesn't matter whether they have the majority or not.

Every few days there will still be calls for a motion of no confidence against the new PM and his government in the Dewan Rakyat.

The frogs will still be jumping from side to side as usual.

And the country have to continue suffering the fools.

But, what to do, that's democracy for you.

Sigh.

Or, the Agong can do this - don't let the clowns in Dewan Rakyat have the power to run the country until Covid is over.

Yeah, he could give back the power to the legislature only after the pandemic is over through a proper general election.

For now, let the civil service runs the country.

They are the experts anyway. 

The politicians mostly can talk only and appointing any of them as PM now wouldn't do much good. They will just have another fight and that's about all they are good at.

The Agong can supervise the civil servants with the help of the interim PM (who is Muhyiddin by the way, ehem, ehem, ehem).

We surely can manage without the stupidly selfish politicians for a few months, right?

Yeah, why not.

After all, the immunisation process is going very well and we'll soon achieve herd immunity, probably before end of the year.

Then we can have the general election.

Well, that's how I see it.

What? Anwar wants to be PM right very now so that he can use his magic to make Covid goes away?

Hehehehe.....come on la. Get real, okay.

Should be Hishammuddin, if Muhyiddin resigns

Everyone seems to believe that Muhyiddin will meet the Agong on Monday and after that he would tender his resignation as PM.

Maybe.

But if true, what exactly he wants to say to the Agong?

I bet he would want to tell the king he wants to resign and suggest the name of his successor.

Well, I also dare to bet that he would suggest for his administration to stay because it needs to continue functioning as a government to handle especially the pandemic crisis.

And my money is definitely not on him telling the Agong to hand over Putrajaya to Pakatan.

No way he is going to tell the Agong " Tuanku bagi lah chan kat Anwar jadi PM".

He probably knows what it would be if Anwar becomes PM and Pakatan takes over.

"Ini semua salah Muhyiddin", "Ini semua salah Umno", "Ini semua salah Najib", "Racist, racist, racist" etc will go on for at least the next one year.

And some firemen may even get beaten up to death.

Yup, I'm quite sure Muhyiddin would not suggest such thing to the Agong if he really wants to resign on Monday.

I think he would instead suggest someone he's sure will be acceptable to his allies and especially Umno.

He needs a compromise for that. Someone acceptable to him, Pribumi Bersatu, Pas, MCA, MIC,  the Sarawakians, other small allies and most importantly the Agong and Sultans as well as most of Umno.

The only one I could think of to fit that is Hishammuddin.

Really.

I know that the Agong will be okay with Hishammuddin, who is married to his cousin.

Hishammuddin's wife is arguably the most beautiful grandma in Malaysia

I'm also quite sure Sultan of Johor is okay with him too, and that means the other Rulers probably  will go along with it.

As far as Umno is concerned, I believe only Zahid's faction may oppose Hishammuddin to be made PM.

Some others in the party may be squeamish at the prospect but will rather have that than having to endure Anwar and Pakatan in power again. At least Umno will be back heading the government.

Same like me.

At least there will be no disruption in the effort to fight the pandemic.

Najib should be okay. Hishammuddin is his cousin, after all.

Well, Anwar and the gang will scream and yell again if that happens, but by then the Perikatan coalition will once again command the majority in the Dewan Rakyat.

Their fault if that happens, actually. 

They should just wait for Sept 7 and defeat Muhyiddin with the motion of confidence instead of forcing him to resign and sidestepping them like that.

On whether Hishammuddin will be a good PM is another thing. 

It would be too long for me to put that in this post.

Next time, maybe.

About fighting spirit and origin of #kerajaangagal

 Unlike me, some people have very strong fighting spirit.

They fight over everything. 

They even fight against firemen trying to put out a fire.

Beat one of the firemen to death some more.

And when others said that's wrong, they came out in force in social media to defend their fighting spirit.

Racist, racist, racist, they said of those who sought justice for the dead fireman.

The ministers and excos among them also joined in, giving all kind of excuses to justify their fighting spirit.

Their AG did his best to prove the fireman had died because he was hit by the other firemen and not by the highly spirited of his kind.

Such was the fighting spirit of some people.

Well, maybe they are better than me, who don't really like fighting.

After all, they always got what they want most of the time.

What to do, God created these people like that.

They also make a lot of noises.

Just look at the parliament sessions.

Even if they know they were wrong, they will argue loudly that they were right.

Just to keep up the fighting spirit, I guess.

I don't like these people because they really irritate me.

So noisy.

Lucky that they are the minority in this country.

The majority of Malaysians are nice and tolerant, like me, alhamdulillah.

But nice and tolerant people could not be PM.

A PM must have fighting spirit.

Like Dr Mahathir, and now Muhyiddin.

Stubborn like hell.

Nice and tolerant ones like Najib and Pak Lah didn't get very far.

Eh, Najib even abolished ISA. He could have used it when he was about to lose that day.

Lousy tyrant that Najib. Didn't even want to use the police to beat up protesters like Dr Mahathir did.

Anyway, I always wonder what if Dr Mahathir didn't resign for the second time that day.

We all know that he actually resigned because Anwar and the Pakatan gang wanted him to fulfil his promise to step down after two years.

That's what led to the Muhyiddin's take over and the state of affairs as it is today.

What if Dr Mahathir did what Muhyiddin is doing now. Just ignore Anwar and the gang.

My guess was that, he would probably face a vote of no confidence too.

Maybe that's why he resigned because he didn't want to give way to Anwar. Fighting spirit, okay.

I wish now that he had not and instead just dissolved the parliament and we could have a snap general election at that time.

We would probably have a good stable government of our choice now handling this pandemic.

Bear in mind at that time the Pakatan gang had been losing one by-election after another.

The most crushing one was in Tanjong Piai where a Chinese candidate from the so-called irrelevant MCA, backed by the almost dead Umno totally defeated a Malay Pakatan candidate in a Malay-majority constituency.

For many at that time, the Pakatan government was the kerajaan gagal.

Same as the one today, I guess.

Well, let's just wait for Sept 7 when they vote whether to let Muhyiddin continue as PM.

Bising-bising sangat sekarang pun tak guna.

People are dying of Covid-19 by the hundreds and yet they keep making noises lah, demo lah, etc.

Really useless bastards.

Hopefully they don't beat up ambulance drivers pulak this time.

Okay, I better stop now because my spine is hurting very badly at this moment.

This slipped disc of mine is a real bitch.

No need to quarrel, Allah will provide

I don't like fighting, arguing or even debating.

Really.

In fact, I don't even enjoy winning them.

Normally, I just say what's my opinion is, and that's about it.

I would hardly try to make others agree with me.

If they want to stick with their opinions, no matter how wrong they were, I would just shrug and walk away.

I don't even really talk much as a person, especially so, when I'm among people who are not my close friends.

Why should I, right?

Most of the time, I don't even try to defend what's mine. Especially when I felt that it's not really worth defending.

What? You want me to quit my job? Okay, I'll go find another source of income. Allah will provide for me,.

That was more or less what I said when my former boss and colleagues wanted to push me around in my previous work place.

I loved my job at that time but I just tendered my resignation without saying much.

Really not worth fighting over it as they would just make it impossible for me to do my work by dragging me into their office politics.

Some of my former colleagues told stories about me throwing tantrums and stuff at that time which were all not true.

I walked out of that place where I worked for many years very quietly. Definitely no farewell party.

I still bumped into my former boss and colleagues from time to time and I believe I behaved properly with them.

After all, I have known them for many years. 

I actually don't even hate them.

It's just that I told myself those people are not my friends and they are not good people for what they did to me.

That's about it, and the rest I leave to Allah.

But of course I don't go have a drink and friendly chit chats with them like the good old days lah.

Well, I'm still like that today.

Rather than quarrelling, I'll just walk away once I feel that it's not worth the effort to do so.

My tolerance for nonsense has never been really good, anyway.

Back in 2018, when BN lost to Pakatan, I told my celebrating former schoolmates to get ready for the mess to come.

They laugh at me saying that I was just being sour grapes.

I stopped saying anything after that.

Well, we know now what happened after that.

It's still messy until today.

Hopefully, things will get better sooner or later.

For now, I'm just trying to survive this pandemic.

If I lose my job again, I think I will try to open a burger stall. 

Hopefully the pandemic will be over by then and people are allowed to buy burgers from me. 

I really only need just enough to provide for my responsibilities.

Really, that's all I'm hoping for.

What ever it is, insyaAllah, things will be okay.

Chinese should push for a change of government

The government has once again confined residents of entire cities to their homes, cut domestic transport links, rolled out mass testing and tightened overseas travel restrictions.

Yes, by Malaysian standard, those are indicators of #kerajaangagal.

So, that's why I said the Chinese should follow Malaysians who are now pushing for a change of government.

They should gather at Tiananmen Square and carry black flags. 

If the PLA roll in with their tanks like in 1989, they should lie down on the road to stop them.

If they want, they can borrow Anwar, Guan Eng and Mat Sabu as their leaders. Make them lie down in front of the tanks also.

That should stop the pandemic. Right?

Sigh.

Hey, I also want a change of government (in Malaysia and China) but not now amidst this pandemic.

I don't want the disruptions as they could cause more lives to be lost.

We change the government now, then the new one will want to put their people in charge and that I fear will cause chaos to the ongoing effort to fight the pandemic.

They will try to prove that they know better and undo things already put in place by the current team.

New health minister, new minister in charge of vaccine, new health DG etc, all trying to do things differently and that I believe will only make things worse.

I don't want that for the Chinese too, actually.

Really.

The headline of this post is only just to tease them a bit.

Seriously, it's already too bad that  they have to make do with being ruled by the communist dynasty for now.

I think they simply have to bear with that for now and be focused on preventing the pandemic from getting worse.

Yup, the Chinese and their evil communist government should concentrate on doing that instead of threatening Taiwan and bullying Hong Kong and Xinjiang people.

As for Malaysian Chinese, they better stay at home and be safe as much as they could.

Same with other Malaysians.

Don't be crazy and go out to the street to protest against the government just because Guan Eng tells you to do that.

You kena Covid nanti, Guan Eng will not come and help, okay.

After all, the guy is also now facing corruption charges, just like the gang from Umno.

Oh, Anwar will also not do anything to help you either. The guy can talk only.

Really.

Don't be like those politicians who are over eager to take over the government now while the rest of us are fearing for our lives and livelihood.

Let's just pray and do our best so that this pandemic will be over soon and we can have a proper general election to properly change the government.

Better that way, isn't it?

Zainul still seems to be himself

It has been a trying year and it shows on our faces, in our conversations and our mental well-being.

Yet, Covid-19 is yet another opportunity for some politicians, regardless of their affiliations, whilst riding their hobby horses, to shout the loudest that they care the most. 

Exactly my sentiment.

I know Zainul Arifin, the writer of that article.

First met him when he was still some sorts of a big boss at NST. Nice guy and a straight talker.

Not very good with office politics though. That's why he's no longer with NST.

Based on that article, I think he is still like that - writing things as they really are.

That's because I noticed Zainul is now the executive director of operations at Petra News, which owner Vinod Sekhar is a friend of Anwar Ibrahim.

If you click on the link and read the entire article, you would agree that it's obviously not in line with Anwar's current agenda.

That means Zainul wrote that article without caring that Anwar is his boss' friend.

Typical of him.

As I said, the guy has never been very good at office politics.

If he does, he would be mindful not to write in any way to risk displeasing his boss like that.

But then again he probably knows that Vinod doesn't mix his political stance with the operation of his news outfit.

Still, Zainul could has instead tried to make himself sounds as if he's on the same page as his boss, just to score some extra points.

Well, he didn't and that's how it should be for a true journalist.

I have to admit that Petra News' flagship The Vibes has of late been leaning a bit too much towards the Pakatan's side just like most other "independent" news portals.

Some of its editorialising were not subtle enough, I think.

So, it's good to see people like Zainul there to balance things out.

We can always do with a proper impartial news outlet.

Okay, let Anwar takes over, I'm migrating to Taiwan

Okay, okay, I give up.

You all can get rid of the current government.

Too tired of all the bullshit already.

Put Anwar there to replace Muhyiddin.

Guan Eng can take over from Zafrul too.

I'm fine with all that.

Yeah, sure, that would make the Covid situation better.

Go ahead and do it.

But please just shut up and stop going to the street in a crowd like that and make more people infected with the virus, okay.

I have not been writing for a week because my spinal pain is back.

Can't even stand up and walk without pain now.

I only have the energy to withstand the pain to do my cari makan work these past days.

None for this blog until today.

Today feeling a bit better and that's why I'm writing this now.

Short one only, okay.

Yeah, as I was saying, let's replace the government.

Obviously you all want to have Pakatan to take over, right?

Anwar as PM, his wife and daughter as DPM1 and DPM2, Guan Eng as finance and Tabung Haji minister, Hindraf gang as Unity minister, etc etc.

Oh, and let them beat up firemen for fun some more like last time too.

Fine, whatever.

I really don't care.

I don't need the government, whatever it is, to take care of me.

I will take care of myself.

Will just try to survive this pandemic and hopefully later on I can migrate to Taiwan.

Sigh.

Last time we made fun of the fist fighting Taiwanese MPs, but now we have our MPs behaving like clowns.

So, why not migrate there.

At least the Taiwanese are now united to fight off the communists in Beijing.

Really, I'm so fed up with the nonsense of the past week.

They were supposed to work to make things better to fight off the pandemic but they were more interested in getting power for themselves.

All of them.

Eh, my back really hurting now.
