Need to sleep early.
I am going on a long drive early tomorrow morning.
Well, happy birthday.
Yup, tomorrow is Malaysia Day.
Happy birthday to this country.
Hopefully, things will be better in this land called Malaysia.
Hopefully our leaders can get their act together and stop all the nonsense we have to endure these past few years.
My money is not on it though....they screwed up too many times....it's just my hope.
Well, never mind.
Whatever it is, we will endure, as we have always did.
Anyway, I am really going to take a bit of a break from blogging over the next few days.
Need to be focused on other things.
Need to earn a living, okay.
As a commenter here reminded me, I am just an insignificant anonymous blogger who have no brand and business, and therefore need to work like everyone else,

Annie, if you don't know Anas don't knock him. He is someone who has built a successful brand and business, who has the gumption to say what he thinks openly without hiding his identity. I like your writing skills but are you genuine in what you say? No one really knows because you hide your true identity. Your followers will say that I just as anonymous too. That is true but then again I am not the owner of the blog. All blog owners should be upfront about who they are and then I agree that all of us commenting should also be properly registered and identified.
Hmmm.... never claimed myself to be a great blogger or anything like that.
I also never thought of making money out of this blog as all these while I have been writing just for the heck of it.
It never really occurred to me that people respect a blogger more if he/she has a brand and business.
Interesting concept, that one.
Whatever lah.
Well, signing off for now.
I will write again once I am not busy making money doing other things.
Just for a while, okay.
Maybe once I have brand and business like Anas Zubedy, people will respect me more as a blogger.
Hahahaha...as if I care :-)
Cheers everyone.
Just ignore the liberal ass
ReplyDeleteAnnie,
ReplyDeleteDo not worry, the fact that bloggers write comments in your blog showed that you have branded yourself automatically. To hell with what others say,me for once did enjoy your write ups which I think very simple to digest, opolitical, rational and imformative.Carry on with what you think best for you.Selamat menyambut Hari Malaysia.By the as a side show 16 Sept always remind me of someone,....guess who?.of course KETUM la....he..he..he.
Drive carefully and practice defensive driving, Annie. The Mat Rempits, the 17 and 18- year olds don't even know that concept. School holidays now, they are all over the places, on the roads etc.
ReplyDeleteSome are born restless, others have restlessness thrust upon them by their peers, TV, U tube and all sorts of evil Internet and mass media influence.
The Government should build racing grounds in every district so that they can kill themselves, not innocent others.
Don't get disheartened by the cakap tak serupa bikin fellows - anti-anonymous but himself/ herself anonymous. Plenty in Pakatoon, especially DAP. They have not been called those for nothing.
ReplyDeleteJust pooh-pooh them like you did above and let others join in shitting (is the word ok?) them, like I'm doing. These know-alls who don't know nothin'.
What he/she should have done was to write about what Anas had done to justify the attention by Tun Dr Mahathir. Honestly, I also know nothing about the fler. What "brand", what "business", etc.
Did u really read what I stated or only Annie's whinging? I acknowledged I was anonymous but that blog owners should not be and consequently all commentors should also be forced to register and properly identify themselves. Geez
DeleteAnd you are not similar to the Dapigs especially since you are an Anon too?
DeleteYou sound very much DAPig when saying things without substantiation and justification. Practically every sentence, as shown below - my comments in brackets:
DeleteAnnie, if you don't know Anas don't knock him. (You haven't given any verifiable facts about Anas) He is someone who has built a successful brand and business (This is only an opinion, not facts, and you haven't said what his "successful brand and business" is), who has the gumption to say what he thinks openly without hiding his identity (don't all writers of books do that except novelists, some of whom use pseudonyms?).
I like your writing skills but are you genuine in what you say? (You have not given even one example of what is "not genuine") No one really knows because you hide your true identity (just because of not using one's name makes everything said not genuine? What school of logic did you go to?).
Your followers will say that I just as anonymous too. (Admitting that makes you genuine?) That is true but then again I am not the owner of the blog. (And who the hell says blog owners have to use their names? You don't know that Tun Dr Mahathir uses the name Chedet for his blog?) All blog owners should be upfront about who they are (whose law is this, yours?) and then I agree that all of us commenting should also be properly registered and identified. (And you think making that a condition justifies your existence as an Anon? Again, whose law is that, yours? Who are you to be making such a law?)
What a coincidence! Lee Kuan Yew's birthday is also on 16 September! He turns 91 today.
ReplyDeleteLee Kuan who?
DeleteAnas Zubedy cakap tak serupa bikinlah!
ReplyDeleteI'm nearing my 40s, just an ordinary kampung Malay (got my degree overseas though), heck I never heard of Anas until Helen Ang pointed him out as among the so called moderate voices. Judging from his write-ups, seems like he's mostly out of touch with the common folks, especially Malays.. Despite all his credentials, Malays don't listen to him lah.. You Annie, with your writing skills, your blog is a magnet, it attracts me to keep coming back..
ReplyDeleteAgree with you. The majority of the Malays are still in the kampongs. Though many have settled down at the outskirts of towns, they are very much still with the kampong mentality, holding kampong values.
DeleteThose who have no such values are not well regarded. Including Najib and his brother Nazir. Laughing at the NEP got Nazir wanked pretty hard some time before PRU13. Plus the Chinese tsunami, Najib was lucky that the malays gave him and UMNO 88 seats.
If he continues his behaviour, discarding the Sedition Act and such, there is no telling how many reduced seats the Malays will give him and UMNO at PRU14.
Oh Annie, didn't know that I offended you so much. Methinks that the lady does protest a bit too much about not caring. Reverse psychology eh?
ReplyDeleteIf you can't say anything good, why don't you shut the hell up?
DeleteYou are free to say unpleasant things but don't go personal, spoil sport, brat.
Annie, follow what the famous Irish and Awarish (main belakang) writer, Oscar Wilde, said,
Delete“Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them so much.”
Ai yoh , seems like you are making yourself miserable for reading all sort of political news .. Look at all those political blog , it is always that few fellows commenting , It gives an impression that Malaysia is going to fall apart , but i believe silent majority like me dont really gives a damn , life goes on , we got car loan to pay , house loan to pay , a life to live !!
ReplyDeleteit is always that few fellows commenting? You must be reading just 1-2 blogs, do you? Care to mention their names?
DeleteNever went to Tun Dr Mahathir's CheDet blog where hundreds of people go in and comment? Where his blog administrator would see from the IP addresses those same fellows using many names and not publish them? Meaning they are genuinely hundreds of different fellows commenting on politics there?
And now you claim you are a "silent majority"? Kamon man (or woman), if you don't have anything good or justifiable to say, why say them and expose yourself to ridicule?
You are free to say anything not seditious etc, but substantiate and justify what you say lah.
statistically speaking , a few hundreds even a few thousand comment is just insignificant compare to a population of 30 million , and yes , most people who comment in political blog like you and me are probably just the minority ..
DeleteIP address dont tell anything at all , given the fact that most of our home connection is using dynamic IP .
And if this blog is hosted in another country , the IP address you see from the blog admin are just merely the gateway .. so IP address DO NOT tell the full story at all ..
Well the power of internet give insignificant people like me to be heard , thats the power , but does it show the true nature of what is happening in the ground ? probably not .
And it is pretty obvious that you and the other air heads don't really get what I was trying to say. Kesian.
ReplyDeleteEver thought that if people don't get what you were trying to say, it could be due to your way of saying it? The kesian is on you, fella.
DeleteCome in and say what you want to say clearly lah. Then it's meaningful coming in and saying, innit?
Happy Malaysia Day, Annie!
ReplyDelete(yes I'm late T_T)
