Lempeng Kg Tarom time

I just couldn't resist another visit to the lempeng joint in Kg. Tarom in JB...

The dish does wonders for me and I must say is one of the simple pleasures in life.

Nak bikin kat rumah, leceh sangat. So, its easier to just drive here for some lempeng.

Anyway, the sambal tumis here is amazing. It has hints of belacan and is pedas, very the traditional. I love it!

Takes my mind off stuff for a while.

Next treat for myself here is the Roti Jala or Roti Kirai (as how my father calls it).

Oh well... Calling it a night soon.

    1. Very different from chapati... May look the same from far, but doesn't even come close in texture and taste.

    2. Lempeng dibuat dari tepung gandum tetapi cepati dibuat dari tepung khusus. Lupa nama tepung itu!

  2. from the hint according to outsyed the box, you annie are a man pretending to be a chinese woman. you lost your appetite as the payment/reward/cause to hold on is almost lost.

    Is that true?

    3. No conscience at all, eh? It's the Cina Bukit part of you?

Nothing strange in that, innit. DAP is full of those.

    4. Hi Annie,
Those funny people think you get paid for writing your blog. I wonder how much they paid you for writing about your ex-boyfriend and all that. Crazy la. Told you to quit smoking and riding the bike. Now they even think you are a man. Anyway, glad that you are ok in JB now. Be happy. Call me once you are back in KL.

    5. Sure Nam. Probably be back in KL for few days before CNY. Thanks for dropping a line. Cheers ;-)

  4. Try writing something critical of Outsyed or disagree with his views and chances are your writing will not be published.

He is nothing but a snob and a fake. He puts down other people, looks down upon the village people, and he thinks he knows all.

Often times reading his blog is a nauseating experience.

    1. This blog is more nauseating. Misinterpret and accuse people of having an intention to kill Alvin Tan. And used that as an excuse to no longer publish comments of people who were very strongly Protun and antijib.

    2. No apology, no regret and no remorse until now, Annie? Ultra kiasu are you? Doggedly protecting the anti-Islam bastard Alvin Tan, eh?

  5. Has Annie a bit of Kazakh in her?

  6. Lempeng tepong digaul dengan:-
    1. cempedak + garam & gula secukup rasa.
    2. kelapa parut + garam + sedikit gula.
    3. pisang + garam + gula secukup rasa.

juga sedap apabila dicanai keatas kuali leper, api kecil sambil disapu majerin sehingga garing.
Makan begitu saja pun boleh. Kalau lempeng kosong (tepong saja) baru sedap dicicah sambal ikan bilis atau sotong.

Wah....u so brave, ah? Calories, saturated fats, trans fats, sugar etc don't matter?

No wonder obesity and diabetes are commonplace in Malaysia!

    2. Never mind laa.

You can counteract the calories, fats and such with cili, tumeric, garlic, onions and many others.

      Hehehe

      Enjoy your food, Annie.

  9. Hi Annie,

  10. Hi Annie,

I love Lempeng with Sambal Tumis. But I can't find any place selling it. Can you provide me the address of the place selling Lempeng in Kampong Tarom?

    1. Sorry. I also don't know the address. Maybe you should try searching the place using Waze or Google map. The stall is located at a main junction and always full of people in the evening the last time I was there. Thank you.
