Impact of the Chinese tsunami

Just saw in the news that all Barisan Nasional component party leaders had pledged their support for PM DS Najib Razak during a press conference at the parliament.

I saw in the visual some of the BN leaders - Umno secretary general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, MIC president DS G. Palanivel, PPP president DS M. Kayveas and several party leaders from Sabah.

Their spokesman was MCA president DS Liow Tiong Lai.

I guess Liow was chosen to lead them as MCA is the second biggest BN component party after Umno with about one million members.

I hope all the one million of them will vote BN in the next general election, at least in support of the PM.

The majority of them voted for Pakatan in the last general election despite Najib's best effort to woo the Chinese community.

They became part of the Chinese tsunami which almost swept away Najib and BN on May 5, 2013.

Meanwhile, the Kelantan legislature had unanimously approved the hudud law in the state.

All Kelantan Pas, BN and PKR assemblymen said "aye" to it.

It now awaits the green light from parliament for the Islamic criminal laws to be implemented in the state.

The way I see it, this is the beginning of a united Malay front under an Islamic banner which resulted from the Chinese tsunami.

Soon, states under BN may follow suit as the Umno guys also would want to be popular among the Malays by being more Islamic.

DAP is definitely feeling the heat now.

It's their fault for playing the Chinese card too hard over the past years.

Umno is now willing to give way to Pas' hardline Islamic ideology in order to defeat them.

After all, being moderate in Umno nowadays is simply unfashionable after the Chinese tsunami.

Pas on its part probably see this as an opportunity to gain federal power without waiting for Pakatan to reach Putrajaya.

Somehow, I am not actually comfortable with this new development.

Malay unity is good, but not like this.

It's another big step towards a truly racially polarised Malaysian society.

It could even break up everything we cherish about this country.

Malaysia may never be the same again after this.

Anyway I'm against PAS' version of Hudud. It's plain injustice to the Muslim. It's also against their 'PAS for All' motto. By right everybody, even visitors to Kelantan MUST be subjected to Hudud laws.

  3. "All Kelantan Pas, BN and PKR assemblymen said "aye" to it."

Actually the PKR chap abstained but nevertheless the bill had been successfully passed in Kelantan state legislative. The next step is to push through the bill in parliament to amend parts of constitution so that hudud can be implemented in a state within the Malaysian federation.
Last time Pas intended to do was way in 1993. Mahathir stopped them in their track by employing various tricks. Mahathir viewed this as something above politics and felt the need to intervene considering the impact it could brought upon Malaysian multi ethnic society at large. Now Pas is at it again and the Chinese community have no one to turn to.
Even Dap, a party in which they had gave wholehearted support in the last GE couldn't do anything about it. .They too seem nervous in this latest development. The only way to stop it is by cajoling the Umno MPs abstaining from voting, in which I think highly unlikely.

  4. Betul ke semua pengundi BN sokong hudud PAS? Pengundi PAS + pengundi BN yang undi kerana Allah = BN kalah. If they think that PAS hudud can unite the Malays, they must be dreaming.

Kos sara hidup makin tinggi tapi pemimpin makin menunjuk kemewahan. Changes in UMNO is next to impossible. They are "too big to fail". PAS will win big come next election kalau pengundi hendak memberi pengajaran pada UMNO.

Soem people just don;t understand that they are just not competent and fit for the job that they are clinging on. In order to remain in power, they tend to make stupid mistakes.

They are the hidden hand in the breakup of the Islamic ummat. Ask the Sufi tok guru pondok Melayu what PAS is. Apa itu Syariat-Tareqat-Hakikat-Makrifat? If you cannot answer this then restrain yourself from advocating Allah's Law. We will all be safer from your kind.

  8. Chinese have been forewarned by MCA for ages. They wouldn't believe MCA and ridiculed the party instead.

Despite their biggest turnout in 2013 to deny UMNO-led BN a government, they still fail.

Despite all the talk about Malay rights, all the fight for religion and Hudud, all the talk about corruption and economic downslide, all of those are culminated by one simple reason - the lust for power.

This is the part where voters fail to see. Politicians are like chameleons. One day they can fight against a policy, the next day, they embrace it.

UMNO had been secular for over 50 years. But the 2013 GE changed everything. Pretty soon, Najib will be replaced by someone with right-leaning ideology. They can talk big, because they just made 2 of the biggest Malay-based party to unite for a cause. Think again if NEP will go away. It will be reinforced instead.

    So, thank you Chinese.

If Hudud is what the majority Muslim want, there is no reason to stop it. Those non Muslim just have to suck it up. They can move to other countries for all I care. Hudud is a fanstatic move. It is a way to plush non Muslims out of our country. We do not need the kafirs. In 2 years time we should also subject them to our law. Allah's law. It is a duty of every Muslim to be subjected to hudud. Please berhijrah while you can. Advise your mother to wear a tudung too if she hasn't already. Allah has great plans for us Muslims. We are seizing back our country. We shall be a true Islamic state. You just wait and see.

At the end of the day it is all about power and money. I think no matter how pious that person is, he or she still needs money to support his or her family. By the way this is Malaysia la. We are good at initiating but bad at implementation and maintaining it. If you got problem with law, just pay your way through. If you are poor, too bad. Life is bad for your kind anyway regardless hudud or no hudud. Pretty obvious where is our politicians priorities anyway with this. Obviously some have not been visiting their own kawasan to survey the flood victims situation.

Being arrogant and greedy Chinese fail to see this fact; Malay & Islam are synonymous since before their ship landed on the shore of this Tanah Melayu. DAP has abused the only ties left with the Malays. The Chinese in general has failed to see this coming; Islam is coming back in the hearts of the Malays to unite the Malays as brothers and sisters, the truest form of alliance; under Islam.

Because in Islam, all muslims are brothers.

When you stop using your brain and outsource your thinking to Ostard and people who are greedy and full of power lust, good luck! Hudud PAS supported by BN MPs is not for Allah. It is for power. I don't see BN MPs speaking up to their big boss about 1MDB? Rasuah halal ke in Islam?

Do you know how many families still can't afford to eat 3 square meals a day? Do you know how many families whose livelihood is affected by the recent flood? You know the people in power tell us when you ask them about the flood? Year in year out same flood. Just varying degree of it. They attribute it to Allah. Kepala hotak dia orang la. Kalau cam tu Netherlands dah lama tenggelam. So what have they done? Come out with HUDUD PAS because they sell these shit to all the poor folks whose can't think for themselves. To paraphrase you ' Kita berusaha menegakkan hukum Allah, Dia akan bantu kita'. Why don't you leave your cushy life in the bandar and live like how those poor folks live? It is good for your passport to the next world. Using PAS Hudud. Their own sex actors also cannot touch. If your boss can't bayar your gaji on time, takpe la. It is Allah will kan? After all you value akhirat lebih. Go home and tell your kids you have no money for food. Sembahyang je la boleh hilangkan dahaga dan lapar. Till then if a leader can't get what is important for the rakyat right, don't talk about Hudud. Sebab dia sendiri pun konpius.

The Kelantan people obviously want Hudud. They don't seem to raise any objections. It would be wrong to manipulate and cheat them out of their aspirations. Doing that will set us up for targets.
I suppose it is also very difficult to ensure that implementation is limited to Kelantan or to Muslims only. How much time do we have before it reaches the Klang Valley and Penang? How much time before it is universally applied?

    ReplyDelete

    1. "How much time do we have before it reaches the Klang Valley and Penang?"

NEVER. I have faith that Klang Valley and Penang people are smarter and saner than the Kelantanese. If Kelantanese wants to live in Kelantanistan, why should the rest of us bother? Maybe they believe that with whodude, their water will be miraculously clean, prostitution and incest will disappear, poverty and drug abuse will be history. There will be no more banjir and kemarau too.

After all, Quran clearly said that only you can change your fate. Only people of Kelantan can change their fates. Tun M tried to protect them from themselves but typical people who are deaf and blind, they only see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear. These bunch of people can't be reasoned. They are blind to the injustice of PAS whodude. So, que sera sera, what will be will be.

  18. I am afraid this is the way forward. There will be a constitutional battle ahead between the muslims and the non-muslims. At the moment, the balance of power is slightly tilted towards the anti hudud camp because you need two thirds majority to change the constitution. Gerakan has started the ball rolling with the originating summon against the hudud in Kelantan. The battle has just started.

  21. Like it or not, Pas is the smartest in this hudud issue. They may lose non-muslim votes but will balance out by gaining more muslim votes. This will give them enough seats to make them the king maker after GE 14. With those seats in hand they can bargain for the very best either from BN or PR. Whoever offer the best bargain will get their seats to form the govt. You think this is for Islam? Perhaps but I think it's more for political gain which will lead to power, fame and fortune.

It's the same thing all over again. Pre-PR they say UMNO members are kafir for associating with kafir MCA, MIC, Gerakan but post-PR they keep quiet about this very Islamic fatwa because they have got some political gain. For Islam? yilek - they promise to tarbiah DAP but instead DAP tibai them left right and center. At least UMNO is the controlling party in BN and have done a lot for Islam (remember Tabung Haji? Bank Islam, UIA, mosques and pusat Islam etc etc). What have PAS achieved for Islam for all this while managing Kelantan and while in PR? So far all I can see is that they manage to produce an excuse that they are not the federal govt
so they can't do anything. Nobody expect a small-time rubber farmer to produce rubber by the lorry loads like rubber estate but produce he must a justifying amount to show that you are sincerely working.

So after all said and done, is it really for Islam as being shouted out loud or for personal and political gain that leads to power, fame and fortune that is the guiding light of their so-called 'struggle'. To me politicians whether BN or PR are all the same - all cari makan hypocrites, conmen who mislead the rakyat every minute of the day using all sorts of conmen's instruments including even religion and god as a threat against those who defy them

  23. Why do all the component parties have to pledge openly and show that they support the PM? The answer is PM's position is uncertain thus he had summoned them to show their support. But they are just trying to cheat each other because knowing very well come GE14,BN will be wiped out total clean. MCA is the biggest "Gunting Dalam Lipatan" followed by MIC who are actually helping the opposition quietly. As for UMNO, it's all about money, money....
