Dreaming of KJ, Azmin and Chin Tong

Let's say I have been given the chance to set a single rule for the next general election.

What I would do is to ban everyone above 60 to actively take part in it, except voting.

Everyone above that age limit can't become candidate or even campaign for the election in any way.

They must sit quietly at home and only vote on polling day.

That should take out a lot of the quarrelsome characters.

No more Dr Mahathir, Najib, Kit Siang, Hadi, Anwar and wife, etc etc.

It would also take out many of the irritating type such as Ku Nan, Mat Sabu, Shahrizat, etc.

Imagine that, okay.

We will have a set of younger people to choose.

Maybe we can have KJ leading BN and Azmin leading Pakatan.

That would be better isn't it?

All handsome, energetic and full of new ideas.

Too bad DAP, you all are stuck with the super irritating Guan Eng.

You know what, if you all don't like that, maybe this coming CEC re-election you can get my Kluang kampung boy Liew Chin Tong to fight Guan Eng.

See, Chin Tong is more handsome and I believe smarter than Guan Eng.

Anyway, if we can get such a rule in place, then the older people can take their old style quarrelling elsewhere.

The irritating ones can stay at home and play with their grand children instead of imposing their irritating selves on us.

The new younger set of people may offer a healthier and more mature politics to the country.

No more all the stupid baggages from the old days.

No more people who think that politics is a source of income until they die instead of a mean to serve the rakyat.

No more people who turn their political position into their personal property to be inherited by their children and grandchildren.

I think it's the only way to cleanse our political system.

Currently, the young ones in politics are just following the footsteps of their seniors who are clinging on to their political life either to cari makan or sustaining their ego (and most of the time, both).

These older people are the ones who set the culture of things such as money politics, racial and religious bigotry, dishonesty, disloyalty etc as means to survive and move up in the Malaysian political world.

Without them, things may likely be different.

To ensure that, we can also put 60 as the retirement age for politicians, just like any other job in the country.

That way, only the truly good people will aspire to be politicians as the bad ones will think that it's not worth it because they can't do their crooked things due to the time limit.

By then, we people can see clearer who are the better ones to choose among those young people who offer themselves to represent us.

What do you think?

Good idea, right?

Hahaha....well, of course it will never happen.

I'm just day dreaming.

Stuck in my room with nothing to do now

Can't even do Sunday shopping as I'm a bit broke this month.

That's why I'm lying on my bed writing this now.

But still, it's okay to dream of good things, right?

Never mind. Hope you all are having a good rest day.

Cheers.

I would have written, "Chin Tong is less ugly and not as stupid as the Tokong".

    1. Pendekatan menakut²kan pengundi yg efektif & menjd modus operandi bagi pengekalan kuasa:

      1. Penjajah British: pecah + perintah.
      2. UMNO/BN: telanjangkan musuh. Jika temui jalan buntu utk telanjangkan, sunat muakkad gunakan cara channel fitnah. Prinsip matlamat menghalalkan cara.
      3. PAS = 'label-melabel' semua musuh. Justifikasinya, tidak Islamik.

      • Rakyat² pula, adakah selesa dgn acuan utk selama²nya dibrain-wash agar hanya bertaraf 3rd class minded...?
      • Rumusan utk negara = kekal abadi menjadi 3rd world country...?

  5. age is irrelevant, young ones can be just as quarrelsome, petty and spiteful..... maturity, integrity and respect of other's opinions is important

just watch how the Brits behaves and conduct themselves in Parliament

of course a good education helps too

    1. One thing ya:

KJ may be young, but he is completely corrupt.

Once history is written, never forget that he defended the crimes of Pinklips & Badak Air against the people of Malaysia.

      That is not a "leader".

      He is an opportunist snake.

  8. Annie,

//What I would do is to ban everyone above 60 to actively take part in it, except voting.//

Nah, I would set the bar even lower and make it 40 :)

    OK, Maybe 50.

//See, Chin Tong is more handsome and I believe smarter than Guan Eng//

Hahahahah!! A totally unbiased opinion, eh?

Poor LGE, he must cry himself to sleep every night because of you, Annie :) OK OK OK, just joking here, guys :)

But you know what, I have noticed that LGE has been keeping his head down for quite a while now and he seems to be concentrating on making a real difference in Penang.

I think it has been said that LGE is a very capable administrator but a totally hopeless statesman.

Hopefully, LGE's administrative skills will be used to benefit the people of Penang.

//the young ones in politics are just following the footsteps of their seniors... who set the culture of things such as money politics, racial and religious bigotry, dishonesty, disloyalty etc as means to survive and move up in the Malaysian political world.//

You have never said truer words than that, Annie.

And in those words of yours, it has been race and religion which have been exploited to divide us Malaysians.

And race and religion have worked very well in dividing us.

We will never ever see the days when Ahmad, Ah Kow and Arumugan sit together at a table in the kopi tiam where one is drinking beer, one is eating a char kway teow with the works, and another having his satay.

Oh, who is having what, you say? Well, in them days, nobody cared.

//only the truly good people will aspire to be politicians as the bad ones will think that it's not worth it because they can't do their crooked things due to the time limit.//

    I dunno about that.

You can be sure that the bad ones will try to find some way despite the time limit.

The ONLY way to keep the bastards honest is to ensure that we keep changing them around.

Let one lot run the place for a few terms, then let the next bunch run it for a few terms, then swap them around again.. and again.. and again.

You can be certain that each time they are swapped out, some of the bad ones from the losing side will end up in jail.

Over time, many of the bad ones will be weeded out.

But as you said, "It'll never happen".

Race and religion will be used to sabotage any attempts to improve the political scene.

    And oh, one other thing.

    Local council elections!!

Local councils should be elected by, well, the locals.

This way, the locals will get the REAL story of why things are not happening in their local area.

At the moment, local councils are a bloody joke.

When local councilors are appointed by the state government, they have a vested interest in protecting the state government from criticism.

The Malaysian political system is badly broken.

I know that it is in the interests of some people to keep it broken.

Maybe one day, enough people will realise that we need to fix the broken system.
