Avoiding TV3

First, let me say that I don't watch too much TV, except the Astro's cinema and cooking channels during weekends.

I hardly watch the free channels.

TV3 is now running a smear campaign against national car Proton or to be more truthful, trying to destroy the legacy of former PM Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Do excuse me as I feel the need to be direct to that point.

However, it's so stupidly and tastelessly done that I think it will only further reduce the support for DS Najib Razak whom Dr Mahathir was trying to remove from the PM office.

"Ini mesti Najib yang suruh TV3 buat sebab nak lawan Mahathir," the orang kampung would probably remarked.

Well, too bad for you Mr PM. Your people in TV3 are too lazy to do things properly...or is it that they are so lacking in talent that they don't know how to do it better.

I cringed when someone showed me a clip of the TV3's Bulletin Utama on how it was done.

Now I wouldn't say that I don't watch TV3 anymore, but instead I'm avoiding it completely.

Sorry to the ordinary folks who work in TV3, but I just can't bear watching the whole thing.

I totally agree with what Rocky wrote here,

No "balik kampung" ad for TV3 this year

While TV3 is losing advertisement revenue, that development should also mean that Proton lost advertisement airtime.

So, for Proton, I decided that I'm giving it a bit of free advertisement on this blog page..

I know it's not much but I'm trying my best to support the national car.

As for TV3, I don't think it needs the help of an insignificant anonymous blog like mine.

It's big, strong and powerful.

It can survives even if no one is watching it....at least that's what the powerful media bosses, advisers and consultants thought.

They must have thought that it's a channel where they can air all the garbage and the orang kampung will swallow it all.

Very clever of them.

  5. Annie, saya amat setuju dengan pendapat anda. Cara mereka melakukannya seperti kebudak budakan. Pepatah inggeris mengatakan "The first method for estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him".

  11. Annie you are not alone dear. I believe many people with straight mind have started to boikot this channel. As you said this will further reduce support to Najib as well I think will reduce the TV3 viewer. So to those company buying airtime for their advertisement please take note....as viewer abandon TV3 you all may consider to abandon this channel too. Good luck TV3....ask Najib to pour more money to anticipate the revenue loses which he is proven to be good in doing this.

    2. Mr professor...u may be good in your academic area but you are darn clueless about everything else...

May i suggest that you do fact findings on things concerning everything else besides academic please....

You may wanna check on price of parts for korean car vs local/japanese cars. Quality wise it is obvious Japanese is still ahead but yeah some is better than proton but not all. Proton with it's lotus tech in it has improved tremendously. Dont believe me. Just check on various articles from car magazines in the market, the workshops and the drivers who own both korean and proton.

On stability, to make things easier why dont you try yourself to take corners at the speed of at least 160kmh with both cars.

Fuel consumption: Reading on a brand new persona vs brand new cerato was about 8.7l/100km vs 9.2l/100km

Not all korean cars are good and not all locals cars are bad

  17. Im a taxi driver too and i dont hv much trouble with the 2 proton that ive been using for years . From iswara to saga blm. No doubt if you talk about ultimate comfort and safety, these cars are not in that category. But reliability wise....would 900k +++ mileage (iswara 7yrs old) be considered bad? There was nothing major to fix aside from the power window (iswara). The rest is at par with vios & city (i hv a vios & my wife has a city)

So to all those problematic taxi drivers who kept complaining about comfort and all, i suggest them to upgrade to toyota, naza, kia or even mercedes and see whether they suit them or not.

you cant expect to have the same quality of a mercedes/bmw in a proton...at least not yet. Similarly you cant expect modenas to perform like ducati/yamaha/honda..

      Delete
    3. Nobody forced anyone...all taxi drivers have the option to drive vehicle of their own choice provided of course they have the capital/money...they can choose toyota/naza/mercedes etc....

Proton was the option for most as it is the cheapest and popular among taxi companies
