Please let Taiwan rejoins WHO

I learnt that they are going to vote tomorrow on whether to give back Taiwan its observer status at the World Health Organisation.

I actually read about it here just now,

Food hunting in Kuchai Lama

excerpts;

Taiwan, a self-ruled democratic island, was expelled from the World Health Organisation in 1971 and from 2009 to 2016, Taiwan could still attend the World Health Assembly (WHA) as an observer. However, that came to an end in 2017.
Come Monday (May 18, 2020) representatives of 194 countries will have a virtual WHA and one of the highlights of the meeting is to vote whether Taiwan will be back on board as an observer.
It’ll be interesting to see if the bigger nations, especially India who will be helming the World Health Organisation (WHO) beginning Friday (May 22, 2020), will give its vote to the tiny powerhouse.
I hope they let Taiwan in again.

If I have my way, I want them to let Taiwan in as a full member.

They really shouldn't exclude that country in the first place just because of pressure from the communists in Beijing.

I believe that if Taiwan had not been expelled from WHO and later on ignored by it, the Covid-19 fight may have been much more successful.

Covid-19: US accuses WHO

of ignoring Taiwan’s early warnings

excerpts;

Taiwan, which has succeeded in limiting its Covid-19 casualties to just five deaths despite the island’s proximity and ties with China, warned the WHO on Dec 31 of human-to-human transmission.
Its vice- president Chen Chien-Jen, who is an epidemiologist, told the Financial Times that Taiwanese doctors had learned that fellow medical workers in Wuhan were falling ill but their reports were not acted upon by WHO.
I really hope the countries of the world will change their attitude towards Taiwan.

They should stop just .thinking of profits to be made from doing business with the communists in Beijing.

The Covid-19 crisis should teach them that there are more important values that need to be considered other than just the corporate bottom line.

Covid-19 didn't start in Taiwan, okay.

Taiwan has better transparency and accountability because it's a democratic country.

Okay, that's all for today.

Here is a video of Taiwan's successful effort in containing the Covid-19 pandemic

  3. Let's worry about COWARD-19 first.....

    People were angry when Hippo boiboi asked by the court to return only HALF of what he laundered.

    Today, we found out that even that half HAD ALREADY BEEN LEGALLY SEIZED BY THE DOJ IN THE USA.

    The letter of representation, among others, proposed that Riza Aziz –
    i. Surrender his rights in three (3) properties seized by the United States Department of Justice and for Riza Aziz to facilitate the return of the same or its value, to the Government of Malaysia. The properties in question are as follows:

    a. One (1) unit of bungalow located in Beverly Hills, California;
    b. One (1) unit of apartment located in New York, and
    c. One (1) unit of townhouse in London, United Kingdom;

    So, now Malaysians know the shocking truth about this so-called deal, which is that the bulk of what Riza is supposed to be surrendering up to the Malaysian government in return for being let off scott free has ALREADY BEEN SURRENDERED to the FBI.

    The deal was empty: Riza surrendered nothing more than the DOJ already took.

    These are assets that have already long-since been removed from Riza by US investigators and listed as such in the various court documents submitted by the Department of Justice over recent years. Riza has surrendered barely nothing further in return for being let off in Malaysia.

    It was in Malaysia that he faced a very different set of criminal complaints, that of complicity in a gross theft from the public purse and laundering of that money. This is not a fining matter as anyone knows.

    It is a punishable offence of the gravest variety combined with the just confiscation of all the stolen goods.

    The new AG's silap mata is to pretend that the GOJ's PAST seizure is the NEW settlement with Riza.

    Riza was charged here with money laundering, an offence that carries a 5-year jail term.

    Pendek kata,,,,

    a) Half the money of well over half a billion is not accounted for.

    b) The thief gets away scot-free under this "deal" that actually is not a deal at all.

    Our justice system has Coward-19.

  4. The world should learn from Germany also.

    Very high rate of cases but much lower death rate than UK, Italy, Spain.

    There must be a reason why....
