Received these very interesting notes from my friend Wan Dal Cha whose political expertise and connections are perhaps ten times greater than mine,
1. PM DS Najib Razak convened political bureau meeting yesterday to secure buy in for party polls to be held next year.
2. Todays' Umno supreme council meeting would produce a brilliant photo opp instead of a fractious reunion.
3. This shall pave the way for Najib to go off with his reputation salvaged, somewhat.
4. He anticipates the emerging Johor lobby to nominate DS Hishammuddin Hussein for the number one post. Deputy president TS Muhyiddin Yassin will stay out to begin a career as a statesman.
5. Najib knows today''s flag off will provoke realignments. He has been trying to avoid this sort of slugfest, hence the earlier move to postpone party polls. Two teams will quickly take shape. Two deputy presidential candidates shall materialise. Najib will avoid having others nominated for the No 1 post so he would announce his impending retirement. Najib will avoid being one of three or four candidates nominated for number one post so he may announce his impending retirement perhaps by middle of next year.
5. This is the truce that will avoid a bruising vote of confidence attempt at the Dewan Rakyat.
6. The Government will be able to focus on managing the economy.
7. The shape of the two teams will be actively discussed in the Umno circle from as early as lunch time today. That is hardly going to be insidious.
8. Aspiring division chiefs will be sounding out the branches. Similarly the supreme council candidates, a relatively new vice-president cast and ultimately the contest for the top two posts.
9. The make up of the election supervisors is going to be key.
10. MACC is likely to be brought in to prevent money politics.
"Najib will bow out with some style, ideally having sorted out the currency situation. The Malays could salvage some pride out of this. Hopefully, nobody will be able to complain anymore," said Wan Dal Cha.
I had previously posted Wan Dal Cha's opinion at
"5. This is the truce that will avoid a bruising vote of confidence attempt at the Dewan Rakyat. 6. The Government will be able to focus on managing the economy."
ReplyDeleteNajib, Your Truce we Don't Trust.
Ah Jib, Your Management we Don't Need.
Looks like Wan Dal Cha is high on nasi dalcha.

ReplyDeleteDia campor rojak, laksa dan pasbor sekali.........sudahla
ReplyDeleteAnnie......Your grandold man senyap aja, penat join demo kot.....
All of this is irrelevant. What has happened thus far is proof that UMNO has no problem with money corruption, even to the point of openly lambasting and kicking out those who are against corruption. They are not for the people. Only for their leaders and party. I will not vote for UMNO after this, not my family and friends. UMNO is as good as dead.

DeleteHi Annie,
ReplyDelete4. He anticipates the emerging Johor lobby to nominate DS Hishammuddin Hussein for the number one post. Deputy president TS Muhyiddin Yassin will stay out to begin a career as a statesman.
NEPOTISM & FAVORITISM !!! angkat sepupu dan bergelumang sakan bersama suku sakat sendiri yang memonopoli jawatan tertinggi, mega project/kontract etc, maka itu kepemimpinan UMNO berlegar dikalangan so-called ketuanan elites sahaja, pusing-pusing hanya bekas anak cucu cicit menteri itu dan ini saja yang akan mengambilalih tugas tersebut, sampai bila amalan "divine right" yang "mencekup" atau meraih apa sahaja jawatan tertinggi dimasa yang sama punya super-mega listed company, business & corporations yang hanya dipegang oleh puak-puak "privilege-the advantages and immunities enjoyed by a small usually powerful group or class, esp to the disadvantage of others = one of the obstacles to social harmony is privilege"
"Certain rights can never be granted to the government but must be kept in the hands of the people"- Eleanor Roosevelt; "a right is not something that somebody gives you; it is something that nobody can take away" (dictionary.)
Sebagai contoh satu article dari Clare Malone "Get elected, Get your kids rich: Washington is spoiled rotten"
Political dynasties/ families = political power & control
Dynasty – "a family in which several members are involved in politics, particularly electoral politics. Members may be related by blood or marriage; often several generations or multiple siblings may be involved."
— Wikipedia
Hereditary politics = personalistic regime
Yawn ... whatever umno.
