Not everyone makes the government looks bad

Okay, I admit I was being silly when I wrote this headline of my last post,

Of course Zahid and IGP will not give a definite answer whether there's a cover-up on the mass graves story as alleged by NST.

If they say "yes", then police is bad, if they say "no", then NST, a prominent pro-establishment news outlet ends up being a fake news outlet.

So, the most convenient answer remains"kes masih dibuka, kita akan menyiasat, semua yang bersalah akan dihukum"....well, that's about it.

My bet is - nothing will happen.

I know, it makes the government looks bad, but what to do....shit happens.

But not everything always looks bad for the government and the people it backs.

Yesterday, there's this story,

ASB investors to get 7.25 sen dividend/bonus & 1 sen special bonus

excerpts;

The distribution for this year is the highest in three years. In 2015 PNB declared a dividend of 7.25 sen and a bonus of .5 sen and last year it was a dividend of 6.75 sen and bonus of 0.5 sen.
At a briefing today on PNB’s 2017 fourth quarter update, Group Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar said the majority of unit holders, numbering 7.5 million with  a balance of up to 10,000 units, will get an effective return of 8.25 sen a unit while 800,000 unit holders who own between 10,001 and 40,000 units will receive at least 7.5 sen.
The remaining 700,000 unit holders will receive at least 7.26 sen.
That's not bad at all, right?

Somehow, that story makes me feel that I was not wrong when I wrote this a few months ago,

Wahid is still a good guy

Wahid is really doing good and not corrupted as alleged by some people.

Otherwise the PNB that he led wouldn't be able to do such good, right?

Of course credits also to his PNB team.

Hopefully they all will continue to do their best.

In my opinion, people like Wahid and his team are the ones who even out the damages done by people who claim to be supportive of the government but actually made it as if the government and authorities are incompetent, corrupt....or even involved in mass murders.

  1. Same as last year annie 7.25% same as this year only that this year those who invest more then 10,000 will receive extra RM100, thats it, the anniversary bonus is just 1% of the first 10,000 unit invested, pengumuman dividen pn nk dipolitikkan

  4. Really?

You think Wahid is placed over any sum of public money unless he will siphon it?

Why is Mara, TH, KWAP, SRC, FELDA, etc different?

    Yet more Malaysian mentality:

"Oh thank you thank you for stealing only billions and not all of it!"

Crooks and posers is all we have lah.

Just like Pinklips talking about Islam (ha ha) and saving Jerusalem...

'This was not a rally to ‘Save Jerusalem’, this was a rally to ‘Save Umno’. Furthermore, those Muslim leaders who chose to attend this rally merely did so to burnish their Islamic credentials. Let there be no doubt that the people who attended this rally have never ever wanted a just and peaceful resolution to the Palestinian conflict.'

    So hollow.

    So insincere.

Jangan fikir semua malays/bumi tu byk saving ye. Kalau la yg sikit simpanan, dibagi % besar, ok la jugak. Yang untung utk yg beribu2 saving je le. Thanks.

  8. Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) fund was launched on the 2nd of January 1990 by the then Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamed. It is only eligible to Malays and Bumiputera.

ASB is an income equity fund with a fixed price per unit at RM1.00. It is also a capital guarantee fund. No matter what happen, it will never depreciate under RM1.00 unlike let say FGV. The intention of ASB is to raise Bumiputra equity, not to steal people’s lands.

It is one of the efforts by the then prime minister to raise the holding of equity of Malays and Bumiputra by putting more money into their pockets. It showed back then how much he cared about the plight of the Malays and the Bumiputra and how he always looked into ways to improve their livelihood.

Now the Malays return the favour of his good deeds by making fun of his old age and repeatedly calling him Kutty. The Malays now treat this old man like a piece of sh*t..

Notice that during Mahathir’s time as Prime Minister, ASB routinely paid dividends to its unit holders between 8 to 10 sen consistently ever since ASB was launched in 1990.

Even during the catasthropic economic crisis between 1997/1998, ASB still able to pay dividends at a whopping 10.25 sen!and bonus at 11.25 sen!..

Ever since Mahathir resigned as prime minister, ASB no longer able to pay its unit holders fat dividends and bonuses.

Imagine if Mahathir coming back as prime minister??

Thanks for putting up that table of dividends paid from 1990 to now.

I wonder why the dividend payout has dropped by half.

Are investment conditions out there so tough?

Something doesn't seem right but I am not an investment expert so it is hard for me to comment.

    Heheheh...

The whole world knows, my friend... the whole world knows...

I was just trying to consider the fact that because Mary had a child on Christmas Day, and childbirth is an important event for all parents, it is possble that the person who approved the bunting thought it was Mary's Christmas.

Don't forget that it is Kota Baru, and we are talking about Nabi Isa here, so dont play play, ok?

Maybe it was an attempt by someone to acknowledge Mary, the Mother of Christ,

OTOH, someone could have just fucked up their spelling :)
