The amazing tolerance level of Najib Razak

I just finished reading Helen Ang's posting

Najib wasting his time talking about ‘national reconciliation’

It makes me feel like one of those British soldiers in the trenches of First World War after being ordered to charge through the no-man's-land at a German machine-gun nest.

Almost certain to die one.

Of course the first thing that cross the mind of a soldier in a situation like that would be, why the hell is my general so stupid?

The enemies were not going to play fair.

It's not like in the 17th century war where both side would lined-up in their most colorful uniform and shoot at each other as if it's at a fun fair. All very gentlemanly like.

Najib should know by now that he need to change the way he is fighting the likes of Anwar, Guan Eng and Mat Sabu.

These are not the types who knows how to fight fair. For them, the end justifies the means. As correctly pointedly by Helen, their primary weapon is hate. And this hate is propagated by way of large scale campaign of spreading lies and slanders.

The likes of Anwar, Guan Eng and Mat Sabu knows that most Malaysians love their gossips. The more sleazy, the better. They actually want to believe those sleaze because it makes their life more colorful.

Let's take the Altantuya case as an example. The likes of Anwar, Guan Eng and Mat Sabu will still give their supporters the impression that the Mongolian was a mistress of Najib, with Razak Baginda as the pimp, and when Rosmah found out, she decided to personally murdered the girl using C4 explosives.

Really, that's the story believed among the hardcore Pakatan people as far as the Altantuya case is concerned.

Go ahead and ask any die hard DAP, Pas and PKR people and they will tell you that they believe in such a story. And they are willing to spread the story so that more people will hate Najib and his wife. Their ultimate aim is to remove him and BN from power. Whether they themselves believe in the story is irrelevant. Bottom line is about getting the power to rule the country. The end justifies the means for them.

They are relentless in their attacks as they need every ounce of hate to persuade the people to remove the present establishment so that they can have the power for themselves.

I went through such attacks by their cybertroopers rather regularly. Here are some examples from just my latest posting Racists who call others racists

In order for Malays to progress, UMNO has to go, period.
The Malays are weak because of UMNO.
UMNO (annie included) perpetually using Chinese as a bogey man to frighten the Malays and handicapped the advancement of the Malays community. Hope there will be a Malays tsunami to wipe out the corrupt UMNO come next GE.
Annie loves banglas more than the Malaysian Ah Beng, how sad. Annie should propose to UMNO to increase the intake of banglas (providing them with IC) to out number all the non-Malays in the country, so that UMNO + Bangla can rule Malaysia forever. Annie akan kata : t e t a p Sokong !!

Now, seriously, do you all think that these tunnel vision types who wrote such comments are really interested in Najib's  talk of reconciliation? Do you all seriously think these are the type of people you can reasoned with?

Najib has to see this and change the way he is conducting things if he wants to win the war against Pakatan. Otherwise, BN will not survive GE14.

Najib need to learn from the mistakes of GE13. You play soft, you die. It's as simple as that.

For goodness sake, these people are by not so many words telling the whole wide world that Najib is a sex maniac and that his wife had turned into a murderer because of it.

And Datuk Najib still want to continue being nice to them?

As if he had not been burnt enough for being nice to one particular community before GE13.

Honestly, on top of that, I was also so frustrated when he appointed some dubious characters to head the GLCs and then felt so helpless with some of his choice for Cabinet ministers. And when he decided to maintain the status quo within Umno by keeping nauseating characters such as Shahrizat, I almost gave up.

But really, what choice do someone like me have.

On the other side are the likes of Anwar, Guan Eng and Mat Sabu. Extremely corrupt, arrogant and disgusting respectively. They are even worse. Yes, that's the alternative.

It makes me want to throw up every time I think that I have no other choice but to continue the fight despite feeling let down by the conduct of the general.

Nonetheless, I pray that Datuk Najib will see the true nature of the enemies and do something different to fight them before it's too late.

  2. Dear Annie, for us to rebuke Najib & Altantuya's connotation; can the gomen effectively explains who killed her. Remember when the court released the 2 police commandoes, even the Judges were asking why the senior officer (the officer who instructed the Commandoes to kill) was not call to testify.

    4. It is Normal for people to Speculate as to who is the Mastermind in the Murder of Altantuya especially when tne accused admitted they did it for money.

Under Normal Circumstances (even in TV Series) the police will try to discover who is the mastermind and paymaster.

Again unless the person is found speculation will continue unabated.

I think the 'Malay Tsunami' would happen in GE14. But not favouring Pakatan.

I would be led by PERKASA. There are many (some say most) Perkasa members are also UMNO members and supporters.

THIS time Perkasa members would let their leaders to say "we will not contest against UMNO"

To them, they have given the chance to Najib to reform, and he had betrayed them. To them, TS Mahyuddin had no interest (some say courage) to lead the country.

LIKE you, Perkasa members also could not see and accept the Pakatan as the alternative, let alone the acceptable alternative, much less a better alternative.

I think it is time you shine your spotlight on Perkasa. Of course be prepared to be demonize even more as the Pakatan fear Perkasa more than they loath UMNO.

    TQ

  8. Thank you Annie for sharing with us that Najib Razak has a high level of tolerance, but having said that how many of us truly know Najib as a private person from his younger days, mid years and now in his late 50s to helm this country. Often than not, biography writers do not pen about the negative treads of our leaders but only the good and sensational aspects of Najib's life.

I am privilege that having served the State and Federal government in various senior capacity, I have walked in the shadows of our past and present leaders, from the time of late Tun Hussein Onn, Tun Abdullah or Pak Lah, Tun Mahathir and now Najib in my 34 years of national service to the government, both locally and overseas assignments. I was also given the clearance by late Hussein Onn to be involved in politics in 1978 and the rest is history until I retired as a Council Member of the UMNO Veteran recently.

In view of space constraints I shall not delve the personal aspects of Najib that had been screwed up by the local and foreign media and social blogs, etc. No thanks to Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Kit Siang, Guan Eng and their cronies. There had been unfair character assassination, etc which may be challenged in court by never due to the high tolerance of Najib. Only his friends will come to his defence either legally or through the media and blogs. However, another interesting political malice of Najib that in the mid 70s and 80s, Najib was branded as "anti Chinese or pai hua". No doubt like Mahathri in his earlier political struggles Mahathir was also very anti Chinese, but once you assumed national leadership, it will be a political suicide if Mahathir and Najib were to continue their "anti Chinese" agenda. Both of them have changed to be inclusive of all Malaysians and not only the Malays and Bumiputras. Today, the scenario is more complicated by the current political scenario, where Najib and Mahathir both are having political enemies from within UMNO as well as the opposition parties.

  13. This is what happens when the position of the Party President and deputy is not contested. Instead we see a 'tradition' of passing on the post due to their ranking, this logic of when No.1 retires,No.2 takes over,No.3 becomes No.2 and so forth. The rakyat cannot see the talent and the caliber of our leaders in debates and speech sessions which we could JUDGE their intelligence. The traditional of not contesting the top post permits and allows a DONKEY to hold the post if they are PATIENT enough to wait. Ah Jib Gor is a classic case. The fact he pays alot to consultants show he doesn't have much ideas and visions to run the country. Those appointed to his teams like Marina Mahathir in the National Unity Council is like 'gunting dalam lipat' is trying to make UMNO malays to be liberal,ie accepting LGBT lifestyle etc.

The sad reality is Ah Jib Gor is not so smart, and UMNO should have a culture for the juniors members to engage in debates and speech making culture so we can see our 'potential' leaders at the early stage in their political career how feisty and intelligent they are. In the case of Ah Jib Gor is like having a donkey to run in a 'horse race' but not his fault though because his turn to run in the race WAS up.

  14. Annie,

Allow me to point out a few things.

"...And this hate is propagated by way of large scale campaign of spreading lies and slanders....

I hope you realise the hate works both ways - UMNO/BN hate PR and PR hate UMNO/BN.

To be honest, I am embarrassed at the venom from both sides but then I guess I am not your average Malaysian because I get embarrassed easily.

"...Let's take the Altantuya case as an example..."

One would have to be extremely naive to believe there is no cover-up in the Altantuya case.

What the cover-up is, we will probably never know.

Given that the main players are all UMNO/BN heavyweights, it would be reasonable to assume that hidden hands belonging to UMNO/BN are behind the cover-up.

"...As if he had not been burnt enough for being nice to one particular community before GE13...."

Do you seriously think that "particular community" cannot tell that the goodies are only being dished out once every five years?

Would you, yourself, quietly swallow your disappointment at being ostracised for five years and put on a happy face when someone is nice to you just ONCE in five years?

Make no mistake, my dear Annie, politics in Malaysia is played along racial lines.

The next front being opened up by UMNO/BN is the religious divide - look at what is happening to the Shia vs Sunni bun fight. Wait and watch what happens here, you will see further fragmentation amongst Malaysians.

There is no doubt that it takes two to tango in all the above examples, BUT I hold UMNO/BN as the instigator of of the problem and Pakatan is stupid enough to fall into the trap.
