Dr Mahathir switching sides?

Last week I wrote that I don't support the

Kongress Maruah Melayu

That's because I believe in

I'm against its planned resolutions which include the closing down of Chinese schools.

I also wrote that I don't think Umno and Pas would be involved in the event.

Despite it being touted as organised by public universities, the event actually belongs to Dr Mahathir's Pribumi Bersatu.

Umno and Pas had previously vowed not to have anything to do with Pribumi Bersatu and other parties aligned to DAP in Pakatan Harapan.

Yesterday, however, it was confirmed that Umno and Pas will take part in the event.

So, what is actually happening?

My take is that Dr Mahathir's people had probably approached the Umno and Pas leadership and convinced them that their side also wanted to be part of the Perpaduan Ummah thing.

I believe they could have told the Umno and Pas people that they were also fed up with being an ally of DAP which is trying to push its Malaysian Malaysia agenda from their seat of power in Putrajaya.

They probably had said that DAP is backing Anwar to push Dr Mahathir out of the PM office because once the guy is in power he would repay the support by giving in to that agenda.

Do note that Anwar had not been invited to the event. I also have yet to see any news about DAP's lackeys in Amanah being invited.

Dr Mahathir's people must have been very convincing about all these when they talked with the Umno and Pas leaders.

If this speculation of mine is right, this could be the end of Pakatan Harapan, and we Malaysians are set for another political roller coaster ride.

We may even have a snap general election as early as next year.

Anyway, I'm still not supportive of this event on Sunday for reasons that I wrote in my previous post.

I still believe in a moderate multi-racial Malaysia.

I believe the Umno-Pas' Perpaduan Ummah thing is good enough for that.

  1. PAS n UMNO should just stay away from this event. How many times are they going to be puppets to the old man who has played everyone to his heart desire.

  4. If democracy is all about majority, majority rule, majority win, majority lead the way, and what not then the rights and wishes of the majority should prevail. Abolishing death penalty, setting up IPCMC, recognizing thr UEC, are these what the majority really wanted in the first place when they voted in the last GE? Especially coming from the majority Malay Muslims?

Isn’t these are the agenda push forward by those liberals, extremists and the lunatics? Coming from minority group BUT being part of the largest party in a winning coalition, they think their cause must prevail above all else. Even at the expense of putting other people interest, especially the Malay Muslim majority on lower pedestal. Hurting their feelings like calling them immigrants and over reacting and sensationalizing the khat issue.

Some of these twisted people make a living championing the cause of the criminals and the lawbreakers. They thought the rights of these people prevail the rights of the other law-abiding citizen. The government should care more about their rights, freedoms and privileges than the law-abiding majority.

What happened when death penalty abolished and IPCMC come into force, the police will become weak and demoralized. They must be confused and bewildered of what expected of them. Their role to combat crime and uphold public order now being put into question. It defeats the purpose of their existence in doing their jobs effectively.

In reality, the police role, like any other police around the world is to uphold the law, not to uphold and carry the criminals’ b*lls. That’s not their job. Putting salt to injury, they now require to wear body camera. Police patrol car now must have a dash-cam. Riding a bike, there must be a camera there to monitor their movement. The criminals and gangsters raise their hand in triumph. The police are effective being weakened, clipped and castrated!

What is left with the rakyat? Living in crime-infested society where criminals, gangsters and drug dealers reign supreme. That’s what you getting for voting for them. Living amongst the outlaws and bandits under Pakatan-rule government!

    1. The police like any other government agency, always ends up being a tool of the current government.
Not all of them of course, but you can be sure that the ones in the important positions are the ones The other police are just normal people holding jobs, not everyone thinks of ideals when doing their jobs, they just do it for a living.
The Malay majority doesn't mean anything in democratic elections because in the end the ruling government wins based on number of seats, not number of total votes. If the Malays vote are split, or they don't vote or the demographics of the constituencies are such that non Malay votes determine the winner, the Malays being 60-70% of the population doesn't mean a thing.

  5. Since it says Kongress melayu, then maybe at most PAS+ UMNO should only send their youth head. And give instructions if Atok start talking funny abt PAS and UMNO in his speech then they should walkout like how the felda people did to him before.

Btw Azmin and Zuraida invited or not?
