Being careful of Covid-19 and the RM10k compound

I went out just now because the boy I'm staying with at the moment asked for his favourite roti canai.

It was only the fourth or fifth time that I stepped out of the house since the start of my Covid-19 hideaway here in Kuantan about two months ago.

The other times I went out were either because the boy made a similar request or I need to get my supply of nicotine.

I didn't even go shopping because that was done by my friend, who is the boy's mother, whose place I'm staying in for now.

I will only be going back to KL when they lift the state border restriction.

Anyway, at the mamak just now, I scanned my registration at the entrance as usual and in addition to that I wrote the particulars of the boy on the book for those without the mySejahtera app.

I didn't do that previously because the boy is with autism. I assumed that it's okay as they could just contact trace the boy to me if anything happens.

But since the new laws were put in place, I decided not to take any risk.

They may slapped the RM10,000 compound on the boy if I don't register him before entering the premises.

By the way, the boy is 18.

I don't think the boy's mother would appreciate it too much if she has to pay such a sum. She's not rich, okay.

I can't afford it either, actually. That RM10,000 could sustain me for at least five months.

Really. My normal living expenses were less than RM2,000 per month. That covers for my food, fuel, toll fees, parking etc.

If they slapped me with the RM10,000 compound, I think I would just go to jail rather than paying it.

I don't think it's nice to stay in jail but I believe I could manage it.

I'm not much of an outdoor person anyway.

Still, I'm being extra careful now.

I simply need to stay out of trouble during this dangerous time. It's dangerous because of not only Covid-19 but also the compounds.

And the best way to avoid the danger is to stay in the house as much as I could.

Since I can afford to do that for now, that's what I'm doing.

Anyway, why bother to go out when I could get almost anything delivered to where I am now.

I'm not too much into dining out, hanging out with other people, having fun at parties and gatherings etc ....unless I'm in the company of people that I really like.....and I don't really like too many people, actually.

As a friend once told me, I'm actually quite an anti-social person.

So, I'm okay as I am now.

Since, I'm now writing about being careful due to Covid-19, I think these people at their event yesterday are really not complying with the Covid-19 SOPs,

No social distancing at all.

The authorities should have gone to the event yesterday and slapped everyone with the RM10,000 compound.

Especially the loud ones there. So irritating.

They used to accuse BN of using phantom voters at elections but now they are accusing their own leaders of doing it.

Hahahaha...stupid people.

  1. RM10K is still small compared to Jeddah, equi to RM35K!! Nah semua tak berani.

Singapore opened their economy (sthg like circuit breaker) last Jun20 and their GE in Jul20. Under control wth their new norm unlike Malaysia. My sons are enjoying their jobs macam biasa2 sja since Covid 19, infact getting more pay as frontliners.

    HOW?

    VERY STRICT SOP..
    VERY HEAVY FINES

About time Rakyat Malaysia yg tak paham bahasa BM/ BI/ Cina/ Tamil learn to be more disciplined. Sbb kaki2 degil camni, satu negara jd susah. Best klo benarkn buat citizens, pakat tolong tangkap, reward them RM5K.

    1. Someone replied to yr comment but I can't let it through due to its seditious nature. But his point was reasonable - why not just impose the death penalty instead of the RM10k fine, if the objective was to scare ppl into following the SOPs.

    2. Expected such backlash. These could not care less idiots dont realise the hardships millions in Malaysia are now facing, struggling to survive.
.....unemployment, retrenchments, homeless, no food, deaths due to the virus, sacrifices of the frontliners and the sense of hopelessness.

Tak faham dan tak amik kisah kepayahan hidup orang lain pasai sendiri belum rasa.

Nah kena denda RM10K baru dapat kesedaran?

      Alhamdulillah.

    3. "Umno Supreme Council member Mohd Puad Zarkashi today said with the government planning to allow Ramadan bazaars and Terawih prayers next month, Parliament should also reconvene.

He said the concern about Parliament sitting with many of its members being senior citizens also did not make sense, as elderly people too would likely carry out Terawih (evening) prayers and shop at the Ramadan bazaars.

“If this is the case, is the emergency still relevant? When everything can be done, the government should inform the Yang di-Pertuan Agong when Parliament can reconvene,” he said in a Facebook post today."

      LOGIC???

If you are 70 yo, you can go Ramadan bazaars and Terawih prayers with hundreds of people. You are safe.

If you are 70 yo MP, you CANNOT go to Parlimen with much less people. You are unsafe.

      Kah kah kah,

      PN = Pi Neraka.

      Poooorrrrahhhhhh lah engko semua.

    4. KUALA LUMPUR: The government has agreed to allow spectators at sports events in stadiums and sports venues from April 1, says Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said the decision was made following a briefing by the Youth and Sports Ministry during the National Security Council (NSC) technical meeting on Tuesday (March 16).

"The briefing was on the application to allow spectators into stadiums and sports venues for championships such as the Malaysia League, as well proposed standard operating procedures (SOP).

"After views and risk assessment by the Health Ministry, the meeting agreed to allow spectators to attend such events with conditions," he said in his daily briefing on Thursday (March 18).

He said in areas under the conditional movement control order (MCO), only 10% capacity or 2,000 spectators (whichever is lower) will be allowed with supervision.

      It get worse.

Abah Kau looks bloody stupid now.

2,000 football bole, Parliman x bole.

  2. Saya bukan gagal jadi Perdana Menteri (PM), cuma belum lagi…” Itu kata Ketua Pembangkang, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim perihal kegagalan beliau berulang kali menjadi PM. Kesian nya...!!

  7. Every dog has its day. This time around, it was the day when DAP had painted a black picture which somewhat marred an otherwise well-disciplined and principled political party. Hopefully, that would be the first and last, unlike PKR where the commotions happened from end to end amid its party election not long ago.

If everyone strictly adheres to the SOP rules, no one will end up in getting 10K poorer for committing nothing. I don't suppose the authority officers simply dare to fine anyone at their whims and fancies. However, meting out huge fines need to be fair to all, regardless of who and what the person is. Having said that, I can't help but disdain those populist politicians taking the opportunity to horn in on the matter for their political agenda and interest, and worst of all, as their onus to spoil the public rotten rather than persuade them to do the right thing, complying with the new regulation to avoid any unwanted penalties that nobody likes.

kikikiki..biso bona troll bossku kasi bom lagi bossku..!!

“Hello polis, saya nak beri maklumat.
