I don't think Helen Ang is sowing "animosity between muslims and christians".
She is just exposing the insidious tactics of the Evangelist infested DAP in garnering votes among the Chinese and native Christians voters, abound especially in Sabah and Sarawak. A fine example is the attempt to hijack the kalimah Allah.
Beside the Muslims, Buddhist and Hindus are also weary that their younger generations were evangelized by cult-like politicians like what happen in City Harvest Church in Singapore and Subangjaya. Even Mainland China are aware about this threat of 'modern-day colonization through religion' which only perpetuate conflicts and chaos.
How about you when to mekkah with your father and perform umrah.. Going there to start over, to search for answer, to get guidance.. Its NOT place for punishment as some thought when thinking of mistake we have done.. Its place to start new good guidance to continue life..
the Siam women called the old white men 'farang'; in Malaysia some old ladies are called 'fatang'. the words describe the folks who are looking for fun in a foreign land.
except for the gender, and probably the skin colors, fatang and farang are quite the same. one can't criticize the other.
just like some used to cry foul about Johor selling lands to foreigners aka Cina kui, while praising the fat lady's suami about how good he was, now have to eat the humble pie because Toa Pooi's suami now selling a bigger piece to the Cina kui.
