Message from a patriotic DAP supporter

A friend sent me a lengthy message this morning expressing sadness over what happened to MH370.

It seems that hope for the passengers being still alive is fast fading as countries which airspace it could had traversed on a north-west flight path after its air turn back had denied detecting it on their radars.

The alternative possibility of the plane heading to the Indian Ocean could only mean one thing: the plane had flown till it ran out of fuel and crashed into the water.

A possible scenario of that happening is available at Pasquale's posting
A simple theory about our missing MH370?

I do not know how to console my friend as I am feeling so down myself over the missing plane.

All I can do is to share my friend's thoughts here.

My friend was particularly upset with close buddies, particularly those working overseas who had been condemning Malaysia for its handling of the crisis.

They swallowed sensational foreign media reports of the incident and put the whole blame of losing the plane on the government.

Most, if not all of them, were DAP supporters.

They said they were ashamed to be Malaysians and considering to apply for citizenship of their host country.

My friend who is also a DAP supporter got so upset with their attitude of wanting to abandon their own country in a time of crisis.

"I actually did the unthinkable. I said something an Umno goon used to say to someone like myself. I told them to just get out of this country if they think so lowly of Malaysia. How can they joined the foreigners and condemned our own country?" my friend wrote.

Though pro-establishment people like myself may want to think that we are more patriotic than those who support Pakatan, particularly DAP, in the case of my friend, I think we were wrong.

My friend is a Chinese, and educated entirely in the Chinese education system, but I believe was more patriotic than myself and many others who think that they were patriots.

My friend genuinely believes that our country is under threat at the moment as foreign interests seem to be putting a lot of pressure on us following the disappearance of MH370.

My friend feels extremely sad that Malaysians appear to be only good at fighting with each other in the cyberspace but they were hopelessly disunited in the face of attacks by outside forces.

Ending of my friend's message:
"We totally failed to unite and defend our frontline when Malaysia's reputation was being savaged by foreigners."

I totally agree.

  3. it is best to be reminded that fully Chinese and Tamil vernacular schools are an anachronism as far as modern Malaysia is concerned. Is it not wiser for us instead to build Chinese and Tamil-integrated national schools. People are united because as they grew up, they learnt things together and laugh and cry over a common range of issues and aspects of their daily lives. They do not become of one heart when they are already adults, no matter what unity campaigns you may design or whatever slogans you may think up.

Good for them because this type of Malaysia I/C holders are doing nothing good for the country either . A true Malaysian (not just I/C holders) will be with the country in time of good or bad , political difference shouldn't be divisional factor , OOp.......!, in case of Chinese DAP supporter , UMNO lead government is unacceptable .
Race does matter ,though they might adept the country , that why they still insist on their vernacular education, thus rise a question of their Malaysianisation .

re , "We totally failed to unite and defend our frontline when Malaysia reputation was being savage by foreigners"

Salah UMNO and I would totally agreed with them.

I know of a Malaysian Chinese who says 'Unfortunately I am Malaysian' and that was BEFORE this MH370 tragedy. Hence, I couldn't help thinking at that time what is he still doing in Malaysia then? Since he feels it is unfortunate being a Malaysian, he can just renounce his citizenship, migrate and apply citizenship at a country where he feels he will be fortunate being a citizen there. That is, if the government of other countries is willing to welcome him and give him citizenship. Malaysians such as these (regardless of race) are an embarrassment to our country and they are the ones who will give all sorts of excuses for their unpatriotism.

  5. Totally unsurprising. Malaysians are well known to badmouth Malaysia, Malaysia's and fellow Malaysians. When talking to foreigners, nothing is good in Malaysia and then when faced with global competition, they were surprised when they didn't get the job against the Singaporeans (for example). Conveniently forgetting that when they badmouth Malaysia, Malaysia's and Malaysians, they are actually badmouthing themselves. Beyond stupid right?

A wise man once said, if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything. Unfortunately for many Malaysians complaining, badmouthing, whining are their favourite past-time when the truth is Malaysia is actually close to heaven on earth. We have great weather, good infrastructure, wonderful lifestyle, plenty of good stuff to eat and we are quite wealthy that a lot of people can afford to go for holiday overseas a few times a year. I guess it is all depends on your DNA.. the half full DNA or the half empty DNA.

  7. As e can these DAPsters (I presume mostly yellow skinned() think of nothing but their stomach and carnal desire. It wouldn't do the country if they were to leave, in fact. much good will come out of it.

Our frontliners were doing great job, considering the complexity of the situation. Anyone with an ounce of faith in their body will appreciate that.I doubt the best the world could offer (DAPster might say Singapore) will do any better.

I strongly urge these yellow skinned bastards to leave the country, the sooner the better.

When you love your country, you must have a feeling of love towards it, you stay thick and thin whether it is raining or sunshine. Anyway, thank god that everybody knows that Chinese M'sians expecially the DAPPIG type will leave when there's a little bit of problem. When there's real war how? All of them will cabut first definitely.

Now, want to complain that others make fun of the country. You ask for it. Yes, now it is THE BEST time for you to go. Make it fast. Hurry, hurry! Tata!

  9. Dear life of Annie blogger
I have timed the length of my reply to coincide with the time taken to cook Indomie.
Like you I too am single but I differ with yourself with respect to the opinion one holds towards Anwar Ibrahim . Some people criticise the Government because they look down on the Malays . Others are reluctant to support the government because they are appalled at the treatment dished out towards Dato Seri Anwar. Now, don't get me wrong, DSAI is guilty of all that has been accused of him. Like you DSAI is a racist , a manipulator and useless as a leader.

But DSAI has persona. Character wise DSAI is the same as most Umno leaders. They are scumbags, arrogant and full of shite. But DSAI speaks shit better than let's say a Hishammudin a Najib or a mahathir. That's why I think heis great and I applaud you for uploading his video interview with CNN.

So back to the point. Is it ok to the criticise the Government over its handling of the Mh 370 saga? Yes And no. With respect to its handling of the saga, the Government has done more than what is expected

  14. Annie,

"My friend genuinely believes that our country is under threat at the moment as foreign interests seem to be putting a lot of pressure on us following the disappearance of MH370."

These two paragraphs contain many implications which your friend, myself and many more aware Malaysians realise - i.e those very foreign interests putting pressure on Malaysia over this unfortunate incident could very well be the same ones who would side with the U.S. in its Pivot to Asia which is an effort of U.S. hegemony against China in this region, and which have condemned and would condemn China over issues of "democracy", "human rights", etc.

It also is interesting to note that the majority of passengers on MH370 are ethnic Chinese, most of who are China citizens, plus others who are citizens of Malaysia and of other countries, including western countries as this PDF version which is a bit slow to download clearly shows.

    http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/multimedia/archive/01781/Malaysia_Airlines__1781605a.pdf

A patriotic Malaysian, neither Chinese now Malay, suggested to me that this unfortunate incident involving MH370 could well be an attempt to drive a wedge between Malaysia and China, especially considering that the present Malaysian government tends to be closer to China in terms of trade and economic relationships, when the U.S. wants Malaysia to sign the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) which in theory could include China, which so far has not expressed interest.

"Since 2010, negotiations have occurred for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), a proposal for a significantly expanded version of TPSEP. The TPP is a proposed trade agreement under negotiation by (as of August 2013) Australia, Brunei, Chile, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, the United States, and Vietnam."

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans-Pacific_Partnership

As is already very evident, the U.S. has shown much support for Anwar, even since before his split with Mahathir, expulsion from UMNO and his trials for corruption and sodomy in 1998, and again after the appeals court overturned the earlier court's verdict and found him guilty of sodomy with Saiful, the evening before Flight MH370 went missing.

    http://justread-whatever.blogspot.com/2014/03/another-john-malott.html

    And

    http://malaysia.usembassy.gov/pr_dos_dsai-030714.html

U.S. State Department funded NGOs such as the National Endowment for Democracy and Soros funded NGOs have financed and assisted local pro-opposition NGOs in Malaysia.

In 2009, U.S. Secretary of State and another warmonger Hillary Clinton presented then Bar Council president Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan (now BERSIH charperson) with the "prestigious" 2009 International Women of Courage Award .

    http://www.thestar.com.my/story.aspx/?file=%2f2009%2f3%2f13%2fnation%2f3472311

Also note that many of these "independent media" portals which have been carrying foreign articles attacking Malaysia's handling of this unfortunate incident are known to be financed by NGOs associated with George Soros and by mysterious investors who keep them going when they would otherwise collapse due to lack of finance.

Many of the negative comments over MH370 are found on these portals.

I wonder what many of them would be saying if the U.S. were to go to war with China or create trouble for the China government. like the U.S. and the European Union recently did in the Ukraine.
